In Orre, the main stories revolve around the fight between Wes and Michael against team Cipher. Instead of a focus on filling a Pokédex, the protagonists work to steal back the afflicted shadow Pokémon and take down the criminal organization that is modifying their bodies. I think that how this mechanic would play out in pro and making it happen would take some fancy coding but you guys did such a great job on the original games and taking some artistic liberty's while staying close the feel of that game that I think you guys can do it again here.
Each area was in Orre created to push the story forward with only minimal side-quests. In many ways, the Orre games feel like they were written to appeal to an older audience. While Orre isn't as dark as some other JRPGs, the process of making shadow Pokémon and Wes's link to a criminal past make the games more adult-oriented than the mainline series. Its kind more about the meat and guts of what makes Pokemon so great in Orre kicking butt and taking names. In Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, shadow Pokémon are super effective against non-shadow Pokémon and get a 50% speed bump in battle. Fighting shadow Pokemon in both games presents a unique challenge for veteran players who have become accustomed to the rock-paper-scissors typing formula the games are known for. In addition, purifying shadow Pokemon offers it's own unique challenge for trainers, as they can go into a berserk state while fighting and won't level until they are purified. I think this would be a sick challenge in pro as this games threshold gets quite spicy and I like the heat. To go along with that thought In Orre, there are no routes, just a fast travel option that shuffles you from town to town within the game. At first that sounds like it would take some of the hardship of walking out of the game so even if that games difficulty is ramped up its going to feel like less worked was put in. Thats what will suprise you the change in pokemon and the PRO mechanics that will be throw in the make the region even spicer and I am willing to bet this will be the hardest region to complete by far.
