I heard that they are unobtainable now. No, Shiny Charmander is still obtainable however it's extremely rare. The shiny chance in PRO is 1 in 8192. Perhaps you confused Shiny Charmander with the Clone Charmander? If so, the clone event is over and thus clones aren't available anymore. yeah maybe he mean "clone" haha
