Staff said recording the battle is mandatory, unfortunately. Because they don't have enough personnel. In the other words, they cant monitoring all of the tournament thingy because of real life stuff, lack of staff, timezone, etc. About your concern how to do the video, i heard staff will make a guide for this. To be honest, I don't agree as well about this record thingy because there are potentially of our team being leaked (because we upload it on youtube), some of us dont have a good pc to record and Android with minimum specs cant participate as well. But once again, they already stated their concerns. Set the privacy settings of the video to: Unlisted. Then only those who receive the link can view. But like I said I will create a full guide for this.

For all those that missed the announcement. The OT rule has been amended.

I understand where you're coming from, but the purpose of having a Trio of legendaries was to make each winner feel special that they have something unique no one else has, even on other servers. This was also the thought when deciding which trio - the dogs would mean that Mestre's prize is no longer unique to him, and we are only allowed to have one legendary on each server - this meant that Staff rewards were taken into account and limited the pool of rewards. To substitute the Legendaries, I also added the opportunity to obtain previously unobtainable PvP Cloaks (Red, Green & Blue). This is why there are multiple prizes for First Place.

As I said in a previous post prior to this. We do not have the capability to spectate or check Pokemon like this, at this time. As an alternative, we are using recordings. At this moment in time, I am not a full Administrator. I am a Game Master, with Administrative responsibilities in regards to the Forums. I do not have the ability to do this, simply put. I am moderating this Tournament myself. There are no other Administrators who are available to help me, due to real life commitments and so on. The purpose of this tournament was to give the Players something back, whilst Thor, Shane and Red are unavailable. If I cannot give you PvP moves, I will give you a PvP event - rather than give you nothing. I hope this helps put this into perspective, and helps you understand the choices I have made and why I have made them. Do you think in the future of the game we'll be able to spectate battles so we can avoid this? Yes. Fingers crossed this happens prior to the Tournament actually taking place. Remember we've still got a good month or so to go, so it may be that although this is not a possibility for me now, it may be later in the future - or we will have someone who is able to spectate available frequently enough to do so. However, with that being said as well, I am from the UK and have a real life - I don't want to slow down the tournament by trying to match up with people's battles either. So I guess, we'll see? On the first tournament when we call chappy to be our referee and when we were ready to battle, he tooks us to the first sinnoh city, or a place without PC and then he asked us to put our 6 pokemons in the chat that he had created, he checked our pokes and he said to send a battle. just take the 2 players to a (different) place without PC, check their pokemons and say ok. And you say to the battlers to don't use escape rope..., after the first battle you take both to the last PC visited and when both are available to battle again, you take them back to the second round As I said in a previous post prior to this. The teams need to be verified prior to the competition beginning. Also I will need to compile three server's worth of registrations and organise this. I can't see it happening any sooner than 20th January - as this gives me a 5 day turn-around time. I wouldn't like to leave it too much longer than that though.

I understand this but yellow has purple and yellow cloaks so on my server will it just be thoes 2 or will there be like red blue ect.? Yes this is a choice of all PvP Cloaks/Hoods. This gives players an opportunity to obtain previously unobtainable colours.

Surely this adds more to your workload than just a screenshot of the victor? Plus it voids a big chunk of the community, i dont see the point in recording to be honest... The point of recording is to ensure the correct Pokemon are used. You could submit a Gyarados and say you are using it, but actually use a different one in the battle and we would be none the wiser. For this reason a one-take video showing this, and the full battle so we can also monitor if PvP rules are followed or not - this saves disputes after also.

You do The first tournament passed without even needing to record anything. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we are not a fully manned team of Staff members - we do not have the capability to do that this year. Therefore, you will need to record, upload and submit your battles.

The reason for the OT rule is to open the Tournament to Players who do not simply buy all their Pokemon. There was fear that without this rule, the Tournament would be dominated and won by Players who are extremely experienced in PvP, leaving those who are not in the dust behind them. This Tournament is for all Players, not just the top 5%. I can't please everyone, but I have tried my best. I have put a lot of work into this and to be honest this response is outright disheartening. I will continue to try do my best - if this means in future this rule will need to be changed, then so be it. However, I would like to open this to the whole community and this rule will stand for the time being.

This year, we will be bringing the battle to you by hosting three simultaneous Tournaments. This will be on a Best-Out-Of-Three basis, just like last year! Each server will have it's own individual prize - so that your prize is truly unique to you, should you become Champion. There will be no entrance fee. However, you MUST meet the following requirements: You must be a Champion of Kanto, Johto and Hoenn. You can register up to 14 Pokemon. The minimum number of Pokemon you must register is 8. These Pokemon must be Level 100 and you must be the Original Trainer (OT) of AT LEAST three Pokemon in your final Teams. This means that three of the six Pokemon you take to Battle with you must be your OT. You must have a minimum of 150 Hours of Play-Time - this is to ensure Players do not register for fun, and then do not attend the Tournament. Rules of the Tournament are as follows: All new PvP Items from the new Update are banned as this causes too many changes to team arrangements, and also gives time to seek potential bugs if there are any. Only one entry per user (account specific). Must be able to record and upload matches to Youtube for evidence. These must be uploaded and submitted within 48 hours of the match taking place. You must display your full team at the beginning of the video by clicking on each Pokemon - this is to show that they are both your OT and the Pokemon that you have registered. You may only use Pokemon that have been registered. Rated PvP Rules apply. Please familiarise yourself with these if you have not done so already. If you disconnect, it will be counted as a loss unless your opponent agrees to a rematch. Failure to follow the rules will result in an immediate disqualification. In order to register, send a PM via forums to Daeon with the following: State your chosen Account username and the Server you will be contending on. Please note you may only enter once, so if you play on multiple servers, choose wisely. A screenshot of your in-game Trainer card of the Account you would like to enter, displaying your play time and badges.
