@Garnet The speed investment is for the Mega pokemon with which some bosses lead, particularly Mega Salamance and Mega Aerodactyl. Jumpluff outspeeds all other Mega pokemon that bosses lead with except those two. Those two require you to first Cotton Spore them with another pokemon (or use Scary Face or whatever other speed reducing move first) and then you can continue debuffing with Jumpluff. It is also invested in speed for very specific bosses where it is useful to Worry Seed or to use it to debuff (example: Milotic in Misty, Machamp in Chuck (idk if it's Chuck or Bruno), etc)

No. Rule 2. (To be honest it might not be explained properly there but no, it is not allowed to do bosses in your friends' accounts.)

@Garnet If both your Mew and Furret are already level 100, I'd take advantage of Mew and train it since it has higher base stats and can set up faster than Furret (3 Agility, 3 Nasty Plot or Swords Dance is faster than 3 Agility but also 6 Coil from Furret). If you need to train Mew however or your Mew is bad, you can always just hunt Sentret and Furret easily in Route 39 or Route 1 to get a good one.

@Garnet As far as I know, Machamp cannot get the No Guard + Fissure combo due to it only learning Fissure in Gen 1 and being transferred to a future generation using the 3ds makes it always have its HA (Steadfast). So, sadly, it's not possible :c Mew as a Baton Passer is perfectly fine. Nasty Plot, Agility, Substitute and Baton Pass is a great set for SPATK sweepers. Otherwise, Swords Dance, Agility, Substitute and Baton Pass also works.

If you're in story, right now I would just focus on doing Story until you atleast beat the Johto Elite 4, which unlocks you access to several things: Mt Silver - better training spot aside from Dragon's Den Route 28 - best place to get synch pokemon More access to pokemon and headbutt places to be able to get pokemon for Love Island access and to unlock evo and caught data for multiple legendary pokemon quests Access to many spawns for very useful pokemon for the midgame and lategame (HM Slaves such as Parasect at a high level in MT Silver, Chinglings you can slowly level up to later use to level up other pokemon with Perish Song - Yawn - Healing Wish) Access to Pinkan Island quest, where many useful pokemon can be caught (Ralts with Trace to help you hunt specific pokemon, and in Pinkan you also have very high level pokemon + 2 bosses + many pokemon often used in both PvP and Bosses in PvE). In my opinion, as a newbie, you should focus on doing Dig Spots, Pokestops and finding the money items around Kanto and Johto and just beating Kanto and Johto's storyline taking your time. After that, before doing Hoenn and Sinnoh you can take your time with sidequests and side areas!
