It was discussed many times, but PROs point is that in an MMO you should work very hard for high-end stuff, so if you want to get an epic horribly rare Pokemon you should hunt hundreds (literally!) of hours for it. Or get very lucky like I was with my Bagon in another MMO. Or catch more common Pokes and sell them and collect the money for that very rare Poke.

Actually in dual battles it could make sense. So with your wedded mate your Pokes would get some slight boost. I can't imagine any other way for marriage to be useful however.

Just tossing in a random idea but how about reducing the importance of IVs so they would influence the stats less?

A quick note to the auto updater. I downloaded the latest x64 version of the client. Unpacked, tried to launch it. it said there is a new update of ~400kb size. I downloaded it, and the Updater launched. It jumped immediately to 60% and just froze there for half an hour, doing nothing. I had to force close it form the task manager. But after that the game was running just fine.

Great stuff Nemo! I would love to see your logo in the game. The current forum logo feels just creepy. Maybe only because I'm from a post-communist country and spinning big red stars mean bad memories for me...

Back to on topic: I wonder if it would be possible to add Gen6 sprites in the future. At least the standing still animations. That would be awesome :)

Obviously the staff's goal will be to provide the capacity to be enough for everyone, but IN CASE the server is full, regardless of what number that cap actually is, I would feel fair that those who donated could have priority login (even if I would not be one of them). It works like that in tons of MMOs and I fail to see how would this make the game pay-to-win... Obviously the server cap won't be glued to 50-100 forever...

Another thread on the forum made me thinking. The server cap is currently rather low and I would imagine that after the release it will be almost always near to full. I know that expanding server capacity takes a lot of money, so I was thinking. Would it be possible to add priority or pushed login to membership? This way those who donated would most likely be able to log into the game. I think it would be a fair advantage for donators, plus it would make donation far more desirable. Unless of course if after the release the game would move to a new server with much higher capacity :)

I think once the game is released, there could be a project to translate it to other languages. The hard part will be to keep up with translations once expansions are added to the game.

Yes please!

How do you think the spin off regions will fit in?
Merse replied to Wargreymon's topic in General Game Talk
Not "if," but "when". Let's be optimistic :D -
I would change the idea of having to start from the beginning in every region. It makes sense from a certain point of view, but I especially disliked the anime because Ash started brand new in every region he went. For me emotional bond with the Pokes is just as important as their abilities and I'd rather fight 8 gyms with full max level teams than fighting a leader with two level 20 Pokes.

Rurouni Kensin. Then Naruto. Pokemon was my favorite for a long while but then it became too repetitive.

I like it too. I always feel especially connected to my starter and it's always feels so bad when I realize it is a bad one.

Nah, even the forum seems to be a bit slow today. Maybe the weather is bad in Australia today.

I don't like this. First of all because Ace trainer is all the way to go. There is no way you could win a PvP with only one specialization only. Well, except maybe if you can be a Dragon Master. Plus it would be a real pain in the neck to balance those out, and it would give an unfair advantage in some situations. The intention is good indeed, but I doubt that players should have the ability to boost the attacks that way.

Were you exactly would put those gyms?
-
Maybe it's only me, but I feel somehow confined with the current viewing distance. There could be an option to look at the field from higher so we could see more. It would make navigation somewhat easier, and it would make the tiles look even better as their pixels would be drawn smaller :)
-
I don't think that would be a good idea, because if you get some benefits for daily login, it will sooner or later become a drag to find some time to log in even if you are not in the mood of playing or just don't have the time. And if you miss one single day you break the chain? That doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Nope, I did not. But something happened and now I see all of them...

That music is still around, but it doesn't always play when you start the launcher.

I am and always was for slow leveling as grinding is part of MMOs. Plus it teaches players to hunt. BUT! I think that progress to the first 1-2 gyms should be faster, so grinding wouldn't scare casual players away. And I know you can relatively easily pass the first three gyms if you pick the right starter and catch the specific Pokes, but as I said, we should think of casual players as well, so I think there should be some more NPCs with relatively easy teams to help reach level 10-15 with practically any team more easily. Then newbies can learn how to train for tougher gyms :D

A very tiny bug: Nido F doesn't have a female symbol after its name while Nido M has a male one.

I had access to that part of the forum before, I could read and write, but now I can't see any threads there because I "do not have the required permission"....

Some players still managed to get away with it for months on some other Pokemon MMOs. I believe the security system of PRO must be better, or simply the staff cares more :D
