In my opinion this would be very useful primarily because of the fact that time-zones can be a hassle for a lot of people and it would also allow a lot of us to make friends with players more near us in time should we wish to keep talking with them at other times. I've seen this suggested before, and I know the amount of work it would take would be strenuous but it would definitely be a useful thing, at least for the major languages such as spanish and french. This would indeed be useful as an option for people. It shouldn't be too hard to implement either. I like this idea and I personally believe every HM in the game should have something similar to be honest. This would be a way to make the Pokedex an even greater tool than it already is in PRO, I can find no fault in such a suggestion and I personally believe it should have a pretty decently high priority as well. This makes sense as well, I never liked the idea of being able to trade our starter, I can understand boxing it if we aren't going to use it, but they should remain on our accounts and perhaps be forced to have a specific nature and specific IV set to encourage the fact that every player's starter isn't any better than the other and thus has no purpose of being traded. I think incorporating some type of help system would be a good idea, tutorial system seems like it could work however my fear is it causing some type of server latency. Maybe a tutorial window can be opened somewhere under system and the second part with general information every 10-30 minutes could be used. This would make PVP more interesting and definitely more of a challenge. This should have already been ingame, and honestly I thought it was but I can't recall. I get that IRC is a loved platform for many, but I feel the dropping of discord as being official was pre-mature and for lack of a better word "half-assed", if you look into it logically, there could have been many a way to make Discord an alternate yet official platform and yet nobody wanted to look into it, look at the Discord today, it's pretty much used more globally for guilds and for general chatting by Unofficial PRO Discord 2.0. I agree with this one full-heatedly. I can't see a reason why this shouldn't be possible at least to some degree, it'd be difficult, but it'd be useful as a feature.

If you ask me, I believe they're going to add more custom content such as more quest to Hoenn, and more quest to any previous areas in the game. After that they'll probably work on other aesthetics of the game that could be updated (Guild Features would fall on Shane unless someone could interface Guild based actions into an NPC... Not sure if that's attainable or not though.) Other than that, i'd expect some more long-term content in the future until another massive release comes.

No, however; there may be unnofficial Teamspeaks' out there depending on if any guilds make use of them, there is also the unnofficial PRO Discord; which you can find a link to in a thread in this sub-forum, however if the link is expired, someone can provide you one.

Ah those days of being on that local server as one of the original 20, dang. Best memories of my life. Glad to see such a milestone has been made!

At this point there are a few custom content areas you can read about in different parts of the forums, you can also start working on a battling team or perhaps hunting for rare pokemon or shiny variants of your favorite pokemon. Content is always being worked on so you'll likely have something more to do progression wise in the (near) future. Theres a new content area near lavaridge, should be decent if you haven't seen it yet. There was an announcement in the Announcements section about it.

Well - In the early stages of PRO's life. We have had a Teamspeak and an Official Discord (We now have an unofficial discord, but thats heresay.) The teamspeak was disbanded for some of the same reasons and it's rather hard to sponsor a voice service with the risk associated as I mentioned above. You are free to join the discord or the IRC chat, IRC being a typing based channel/service which is Officially the main Out of game chat, or the discord which in that case you can message me via PM and I will provide a temporary invite link or you could find the thread on the forums, as I believe we still have an active invite link there as well.

This would be a good idea if it were able to be moderated. As you understand; PRO has a ton of multi-national speakers and a ton of kids, and since physical speaking can't be monitored nearly at all in a game in the way this is suggested, it would probably be denied. (The reason being cursing and more than likely exposing kids to things that they could repeat around people they really shouldn't and a ton of drama associating with that.)

Let me speak what just came to my mind with your comment, and I hope this isn't /too/ offensive (however there is no doubt in my mind this will offend.) Okay, so - there are THREE servers in this game, and as you yourself said, there is Marcy and there was Tetrapod, however as you yourself said, he is no longer around. Let me be blunt, three servers, each worse than the last when it comes to the Spanish-speaking community. One moderator can only manage one server and even one moderator can't sit online for all hours of the day monitoring the clearly inappropriate words that occasionally get said when nobody is watching. I hate to say it like that, but it's the general consensus that if a moderator isn't around, we can say whatever we want. This isn't the case. Do you have this opinion that the Spanish Speaking community of PRO should be exempt from the games rules? Do you think that you should be allowed to say whatever you want because it's in Spanish and most people don't understand it unless they as well speak Spanish? This is not, and will never be the case. The fact that it is as bad as it is now tells me something needs to be done. Your comment on how the OP said he was an English Teacher wasn't an attempt to bash at the Spanish-Speaking Community, the poster (as I believe) was simply pointing out that they were bi-lingual and studied both languages and thus is very proficient with them. I think the words Control were a bit brash, but honestly your other comment "Do you think the Spanish community needs more control than the others?" is very very wrong. In fact, the Spanish community to this date has had the least amount of control when it comes to the in-game chat rules regarding swearing and just being plain rude and cruel. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Too the OP: This post is decent, however let me be blunt with saying from experience, if you truly want to help out in a situation like this; your best bet would be going with suggestion #1 and sending a PM to a Moderator (SHOULD THEY ASK FOR IT) with as many different slang lingo in Spanish that is completely inappropriate, however; don't do so unless they ask. This topic will have undoubtedly have been brought up before, I know I've brought it up before and I know others have to, but with so little Spanish Speaking Moderators who are also fluent in English, nothing will get done. When Tetrapod was around a lot of things got handled, and I am sure Marcy is doing a great job, but with three servers; this was bound to be an issue, there needs to be more support in the Spanish-speaking community. I agree with the OP on the subject, maybe some of the words used, not as much. +1.

On the same spectrum, think of this - you use Thunder with a lightball pikachu, and thunder with a raichu, the move will do a ton more damage with pikachu, but if it misses, you die. Basically a glass cannon, you do the same move with Raichu, it does less damage, and it misses, you probably have the chance to survive depending on the move used against you because of the increased base stats. In this case, Raichu would be better; however if you need that glass cannon who can be used as fodder or as an ace, then Pikachu would be your bet. It's a toss up and really up to personal preference. It really depends on the case as well.

There's nothing wrong with taking a break on a game like this - let it be known however that an MMO, especially a Pokemon MMO will have periods where it feels like you're doing nothing anymore. You've got to find your niche to enjoy yourself. I hope you find happiness wherever you may go! :)

The service status checker was probably removed because there are several places that are way more accurate about it. The IRC Chat and Discord chat both have a bot on them called Machamp that will check the servers periodically by a command and do the job really well. I can't say why they've been removed on the main website as I don't know, but it may come back in the future. Probably has something to do with the new Yellow Server.
