Iceflake Posted January 30, 2021 Share Posted January 30, 2021 -1 Exclusivity keeps people playing, people who missed it either were too early on in the story to even know about the mega stone or just didn't care about it b/c how useless it is and even in pve bosses its worst than just normal scarf gengar since all people do with gengar nowadays is scarf destiny bond since hard bosses have a lot of speed. The only items that should never be placed under a timed exclusivity are pvp pokemon options to keep things fair for everybody. If players really wanted mega gengar they would either do the quest or wait for halloween. Its similar to Darkrai as its not a pvp mon and Halloween exclusive, but nobody 'needs' a darkrai so making it a exclusive is fine. It might even be the stander for released uber pokemon/megas for the future. This is also coming from a guy who densest have either but i also had 3 year chances to get them so just wait till next year if you want it. p.s. mega blaziken was released without exclusivity but this would just be wrong if it was since its a starter trio and since you can just get a speed boost blaziken is already a thing so i don't think comparing it to gengar is fair. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've missed my chance to get the Gengarite last Halloween but I definitely do not have the same opinion as you. If they made a new quest to get the stone, where anyone (or people who've completed a certain region) would be able to obtain the stone anytime outside of Halloween, then that'd just defeat the purpose of making it a reward for 2020's Halloween quest. I think everyone is entitled to an opinion, each with equal importance. Both G3n and Comrader presented their opinions, and provided reasons as to why they think so, which is feedback as far as I know.
