Raika
Welcome to Build-a-mon, one of New Leaf's favorite events! If you have some pent of creativity, now is your chance to show it off! Get your creative juices flowing cause you're going to need it. If you'd like to participate, simply create a Pokemon. That's it. It can be a whole evolution line, and an evolution or pre-evolution of an already existing Pokemon, try to avoid legendary-like Pokemon, basically the limit is your imagination, and post it here. Here's a template for anyone to use: Mandatory (You must include these) Pokemon name (Pronunciation can be included) Type Stats Abilities (You can make a maximum of one new ability) Drawing of the Pokemon (Can use editing/drawing software such as Paint or a simple drawing on a piece of paper. Also, quality and detail of drawing will not affect the score! This is to give us a general idea of what the Pokemon looks like) Lore / Pokedex entry Optional Pokemon classification Height / Weight Male / Female counterparts Shiny counterparts Footprints Sample movesets (You may create one new signature move for the Pokemon) Move learnset Evolution requirements (If applicable) Here are some examples: Spoiler Spoiler Tundle Ghost Levitate HP: 60 Attack: 50 Defense: 50 Sp. Attack: 90 Sp. Defense: 90 Speed: 50 Spoiler Tundle is a lonely Pokemon, only coming out of its hiding place during thunderstorms, because it is attracted to Lightning. It is small and cute, however since it only appears on the darkest and rainiest of nights, people mistake it for something else and avoid it all together. Psychics believe that if you happen to come across one in the wild at the middle of the day, then you will be cursed with bad luck for 6 years. Evolves into Bihock after exposing it to a Thunderstone. Spoiler Bihock Ghost / Electric Levitate / Binding *Note 1 HP: 70 Attack: 65 Defense: 75 Sp. Attack: 110 Sp. Defense: 80 Speed: 80 Spoiler Bihock is very different from its pre-evolution, Tundle. Bihock enjoys mocking other Pokemon. It will go out of its way to make fun of other Pokemon, even as far as making fun of trainers. Due to this behaviour, Bihocks are generaly lone wolves, and prefer to stay in secluded places. Poke Scientists are still not sure what the mark or scar running down from Bihock's eye to it's chin is, but speculation has it that it is a self-inflicted wound that every Bihock gives themselves. This is to signify that Bichocks prefer to live alone and not in groups. Bihock evolves at level 50. *Note 1: Binding - If an opposing Pokemon switches out, the user will hit the Pokemon before it leaves the field, similar to Pursuit. Every succesful trap however will lower the user's Defense and Sp. Defense by 1 stage. Spoiler Tundooky Ghost / Electric Levitate / Binding / Lightning Rod HP: 98 Attack: 75 Defense: 80 Sp. Attack: 136 Sp. Defense: 90 Speed: 98 Spoiler After living its whole life secluded from others, it has decided to hone it's electricity capability. It does this by standing proud on top of the highest location it can during a heavy thunderstorm and will act as a lightning rod. Tundooky is very serious when it comes to battling. This is why it comes out every night seeking someone worthy enough it can call a trainer. This can be difficult however considering most trainers will be indoors during a thunderstorm, and Tundooky's figure will probably scare them off in the first place. While it seems like this Pokemon is a stone-cold killer, it is one of the kindest Pokemon, and only wants the love and approval of someone. Sample movesets: Moveset 1 Binding *Note 1 252 Sp. Attack / Speed Choice Specs / Choice Scarf Volt Switch Thunderbolt / Thunder Shadow Ball Trick / Will-O-Wisp Moveset 2 Binding / Lightning Rod / Levitate 252 Sp. Attack / Speed Life Orb Taser *Note 2 Thunderbolt Shadow Ball Volt Switch Moveset 3 Binding / Lightning Rod 252 Sp. Attack / Speed Leftovers Substitute Taser Nasty Plot Shadow Ball Moveset 4 Binding / Lightning Rod 252 Sp. Attack / Speed Shuca Berry / Leftovers Taser Hex Volt Switch Taunt / Will-O-Wisp / Defog *Note 1: Binding - If an opposing Pokemon switches out, the user will hit the Pokemon before it leaves the field, similar to Pursuit. Every succesful trap however will lower the user's Defense and Sp. Defense by 1 stage. This will work with every move, including status and non-damaging moves. Trapping moves such as Taser and Pursuit will not be affected by the defense drop. *Note 2: Taser - Electric type move that deals 60 special damage, 95% accuracy and has a 10% chance to paralyze. When an opponent switches out, this move will deal damage before the Pokemon leaves the field, and will have a 75% chance to paralyze them, regardless of immunities. Spoiler Made by: @Haneroze Name: Mirbow Type: Fairy/Fighting HP: 75 Attack: 110 Defense: 60 Special Attack: 100 Special Defense: 90 Speed: 115 Pokedex Entry: Mirbow can control the ribbons around its body like they were its arms. The ribbons can create long-lasting afterimages, which Mirbow can materialize for a fraction of a second. Ability: Afterimage. Contact moves that targetted Mirbow, but hit a different Pokemon are unsuccessful and causes the attacker to take 25% damage. Signature Move: Mirage Strike. 60 BP, 100% Accuracy, Fighting, Physical. Deal damage to the opponent. Two turns after this move is used, the foe is attacked again with a Special Fairy type attack of the same power. (Future Sight style) Spoiler Sample movesets: Standard Physical Attacker: 252 Speed, 252 Attack, Jolly Afterimage, Life Orb - U-turn - Mirage Strike - Blaze Kick - Knock Off Set Detail: Simple set to deal good damage. Mirbow can annoy opponents with Mirage Strike and Knock Off, then run away and trigger Afterimage with U-turn. Standard Special Attacker: 252 Speed, 252 SpAtk, Timid Afterimage, Leftovers - Moonblast - Calm Mind - Vacuum Wave - Psyshock Set Detail: Simple set to deal good damage specially. Calm Mind can bait opponents into attacking with contact moves. Dazzling Gleam as the main offensive tool. Specially Defensive: 252 HP, 252 SpDef, Careful Afterimage, Leftovers - Mirror Coat - Moonlight - Play Rough - Drain Punch Set Detail: As most opponents may avoid physical moves because of Afterimage, this set baits them into using safe special attacks and counter them with Mirror Coat. Dark types still fear the Play Rough and Drain Punch. Support set: 252 HP, 252 Speed, Jolly Afterimage, Light Clay - U-Turn - Encore - Mirage Strike - Light Screen Set Detail: Boosts up allies' SpDef while annoying opponents. Spoiler Made by: @Blazeleiton Illustration and lore / Pokedex entry example only: Spoiler Cole'bre (Hummseed), the humming leaf Pokémon. Each flap of its wings releases a sweet scent, however because of the high speeds they achieve, it can become suffocating. Che'tzal (Zal-leaf), the forest spirit Pokémon. It is said that in ancient times that this Pokémon would only present itself to a worthy ruler. It is for this reason that the feathers on its tail became such a valuable item. Parvoreal (Tal-leaf), the forest guardian Pokémon. The crowns from ancient civilizations sought to resemble the feathers adorning its tail. The male are highly territorial, and will impose dominance by showing off the vivid colors on their tail. Kukulqoatl (Draquatl), the feathered serpent Pokémon. Considered an emissary of the heavens by ancient civilizations. Wherever it descends to take rest, it is said the earth below will flourish for a hundred years They're based on a hummingbird, a quetzal, a peacock and Quetzalcóatl/Kukulcán respectively, the middle two being animals. Quetzals are especially endemic to the rainforests on the southern states of Mexico and neighboring Central America countries. They became scarce because they were hunted for their precious feathers, especially after the conquest. Quetzalcóatl and Kukulcán are depictions in Mexica and Mayan of an entity said to be a feathered serpent, covered of course in quetzal feathers. It's interpretation and attributes vary between the two cultures, but they both seemed to be worshipping a similar deity.
