Dragging Pokémon From Party To Follow You In The Overworld

Featured Replies

Tired of being followed by your dead sync? Wouldn't it be better to have your favorite Pokémon follow you around in the overworld as you traverse the regions; questing, hunting, bossing, etc?

This would make it so you could choose any Pokémon from your party, regardless of it's party slot to follow you around.

How would it work?

(To keep things short & sweet):

Old: :classic_sad:

  • Pokémon in your 1st party slot will follow you in the overworld.

New:

  • Drag & drop a Pokémon from your party anywhere on screen to have it follow you in the overworld, regardless of it's position in your party.

React with a heart ♥️ to this post to urge the developers to make this change, so that we can roam and explore with our favorite Pokémon buddy. 😊

Would like to hear from some devs on whether this may be a possibility.

Well we have ther chat command "/happy <slot number>".

Why not make "/follow <slot number>" to set which slot follows and "/follow" to check which slot is currently assigned as follower mon.

Could use the question mark from the area hunt-able distplay if the selected slot is empty and the pink/purple question mark if the slot is empty and the user has ms.

this is a good idea. I think the pokemon following you is simply an aesthetic and shouldn't depend on the first poke being in the first slot. most times i have a cool shiny team but then i'll have a sync on first slot, and so thats the one that'll show in the over world.. meh.

+1 (follow command would be cool)

Well, something like:

/follow mega (check for megastone held if yes mega sprite if no standard associated sprite)

/follow hide (question mark sprite)

/follow invisible (disable follower)

/follow visible (enable follower)

/follow <slot number> (set slot for follower)

/follow (display selected follower slot, whether mega, hide or invisible is enabled)

If the follower mega sprite option is implemented, staff will need to set it so that the megastones can only be held by their respective pokemon.

Though having ralts running with Gardevoirite might have some fun system responses 😜.

I'm tired to be followed by a dead abra all day long while i've my wonderful gardevoir in party 😉
