You need at least 150+ happiness on your pokemon with Dig. You can check the happiness of a pokemon with /happy 1-6 in the ingame-chat while the number indicates what party-slot you want to check.

Correct, there were changes to that but you can pick them up unlike you are claiming.

As mentioned you have to stop in front of it and then pick it up, not go over it. It works perfectly fine and I tried it myself.

This was brought up and explained a couple of times in the past during Q&A-streams. Unfortunately its a rather complicated issue because of an old script-language used in the hoenn pokecenters. From what I know trying to fix it could easily break other things, however the issue is known but there is no ETA for a fix for that as of now. To avoid it you can simply put your Xatus in the box before teleporting.

They do work just fine, there are doors in between the vertical walls and doors outside of your vision though.

Restart your client completly and level it up from level 99 to level 100 once and then use a mysterious candy to evolve it another time at level 100.

Its a known bug and will be fixed with the next client update.

You cant really use a guide for that part of the quest as its randomized for everyone. You have to figure it out without a guide.
