One account contained data for all 3 servers, so what I'm saying that now your account contains 2 different characters datas in one server, so that's why you need merge even you played at one server before.

There was way to know when went merge, because at merge page data was shown of both servers, so you could just guessed from that which one was your main server.

Silver Server is Red + Blue merged together while Gold is Yellow, so it's not bug is misunderstanding.
