  1. This... ... ...actually makes too much sense. You're exactly right. In the grand scheme of things I guess it doesn't really matter what they're called, but I think this is a great suggestion.
  2. Personally, I like not seeing the Nidos until the safari zone, but I can see why people would want them back too.
  3. I'm sorry, but this suggestion makes the game entirely way too easy. Training a Pokemon to at least level 50 takes very little time. I just don't see how the "competitive" scene in this game will not revolve around max level Pokemon. 1. See above. 2. My mistake. I read your post wrong. I have absolutely NO problem with making this suggestion a choice for battles. I just don't see how it could possibly fit into this game as the primary battle system. You can battle any way that you want in this game, but the best PRO players should always be the ones who can win max level tournaments.
  4. When you consider any sort of suggestion, you have to consider the repercussions it has on all aspects of the game. You're biased toward competitive battling--and there's nothing wrong with that. However, this game is not a battle simulator. A HUGE part of the endgame for Pokemon IS a grind fest. Whether you're hunting for Pokemon with better IVs, training Pokemon to level 100, or looking for shinies, it's all a grind. You have to put in work to reap the benefits. I don't like to use the word never, but I highly doubt that this game, an MMO, will ever reach the same "competitive battling" scene as the one you're hoping for. It's simply impossible to do that whenever a Pokemon is considered complete as soon as it reaches whichever level (past 50) that it learns its last competitive move. The easier it is for all players to be on the same playing field, the more difficult it will be to maintain longevity. 1. Not every player who will play PRO has the intention of becoming a competitive battler. People will buy, sell, and trade competitive Pokemon consistently even if they aren't battlers. Competitive battlers most likely won't be the OT of the Pokemon they use, and they most likely won't be the person who trained them to level 100. That's just how it works in this type of setting. 2. This would not have a positive effect on tournaments. Using a level 50 Pokemon and a level 100 Pokemon in a level 50 battle isn't the same thing, and neither is using a level 30 Pokemon and forcing it to level 50. Are you suggesting that these lower Pokemon should be able to use level 50 movesets? or that level 50 Pokemon should be allowed to use higher-level movesets? The "competitive" scene in PRO will not be a cookie-cut design of a battle simulator or "real" competitive battling. There aren't going to be perfect Pokemon floating around everywhere. As the game grows, there will certainly be more chances for near-perfect Pokemon, but this won't happen anytime soon... and I highly doubt that they'll be available for players who aren't willing to grind in some form or fashion (hunting or training).
  5. I don't really care for this idea and here's why: 1. Negative effect on the economy. Some players will want to battle their Pokemon at different levels. If you only need 1 Pokemon per species, then this limits potential buyers. 2. Negative effect on tournaments. Players can always predetermine the type of battles they wish to participate in. If you're looking to test out a level 50 team, then look for a battle against level 50 competition. Funneling all battles toward level 50 would also minimize the amount of usable Pokemon. 3. Negative effect on player-controlled daycares. Whether you're interested in it or not, player-controlled daycares will be a major aspect of this game. After you finish the storyline and additional quests, you really don't have any other reason to level Pokemon except to increase their trade value or to battle with them at higher levels. Daycares would essentially become obsolete--especially if some sort of daycare function is ever implemented which requires the maximum amount of obtainable badges. Suggestions are always welcome; I just don't believe this would be in the best interest of the players.
  6. If you've made it past Celadon City, then you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, and you don't want to be spoiled, then please don't read this topic. :D

  8. Oh... it's you. Welcome to the game, mate! Hope it's everything you're looking for. :D
  9. Welcome to the game, Dreamer!
  10. Depending on the server cap, this could be really helpful. I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that PRO will easily max out whichever (500/1000) capacity it goes with upon release.
  11. Welcome to PRO, sairoarg. You're joining the game at an exciting time. We're currently testing Kanto, Johto, and the Sevii Islands to ensure that the game will be functional for all players when we finally go "live". With that being said, any progress that you make until we're officially "live" can be deleted at any time. Whether you decide to play right now or wait until the full release is up to you. Either way, hope to see you in the game soon!
  12. Welcome to PRO, MontanhaDM. I'm glad to hear that you're excited about this game. I think you write English better than you give yourself credit for. If you're uncomfortable with English, don't worry! I'm sure you'll find plenty of players in the game who speak whichever language you feel most comfortable using. Hope you enjoy your time here!
  13. There's actually no water right there on the next map.
  14. 1. Berry Challenge: It's the official name of the event. 2. Grepa Berries: 3. Hondew Berries: 4. Kelpsy Berries: 5. Pomeg Berries: 6. Qualot Berries:
  15. I ran a few tests (teleported to berry tower end kanto) to check the berry distributions, and this is what I came back with: Grepa Berry: 94 Hondew Berry: 69 Kelpsy Berry: 51 Pomeg Berry: 133 Qualot Berry: 113 Tamato Berry: 0 Notice anything? :/
  16. If you try to enter the berry tower without paying, you get your head chopped off. :D
  17. I'm sure they will here too. Why wouldn't you continue to improve your team?
  18. This is an interesting idea, but it doesn't really mesh with the direction that PRO is trying to go. Believe me... the PRO Staff knows how difficult it is to find a Pokemon with perfect IVs, nature, and ability. If you don't want to spend 1293481239 hours finding that level of perfection, then DON'T. Do you really think that the best battlers here are gonna have those Pokemon? You can battle perfect Pokemon all day long in a battle simulator, but that's not gonna happen here.
  19. Good point. Some players could write written guides, while others could post their videos. If you wanted to make this sub-section, I think it would fit just fine as one of the categories in the Player Zone.
  20. In a way, everyone that plays this game right now is a tester. The TEST rank isn't given to everyone, but that doesn't mean that you aren't able to help. Look at the "Bug Resolution Center" forum and familiarize yourself with some of the problems that people are encountering. After you can distinguish what you're looking for, don't be afraid to go through Kanto and Johto searching for similar issues. Most of the players with the TEST rank have proven themselves by finding bugs/errors/omissions before they were granted the rank. I hope this helps, and I'm glad that you're passionate about this game. If you have any questions, you can always contact me in-game. Good luck!
  21. Most of the building shadows in Saffron City have this problem. The buildings that don't have this problem are the buildings in which the shadow doesn't cover the player. :/
  22. Welcome to PRO, Isaac. I hope this game is everything you want it to be. :)
  23. Good suggestion, mate. :y: I hope this one goes through.
  24. Shout out to @Elesa for finding this error. Safari Zone Entrance:
  25. First of all, welcome to PRO! For whatever reason, you can only edit your posts in certain sub-sections of the forums. Unfortunately for you--and many others--the Player Introduction section isn't one of those. I'm pretty sure you aren't alone in your feelings about the Viridian Forest Maze, but at least you were able to experience it before the game is actually launched. I hope you have fun, make some new friends, and enjoy your time here. See ya in game. :) PS: Don't forget to report any bugs you may encounter!
