  1. Softboiled has more PP and isn't negatively affected by weather - that's a huge difference.
  2. That's a bug. If you have a Pokemon with a special sprite (in this case it's your clone Blastoise) and send it into battle, all of your pokes that are sent into battle after it have their special sprites too. During last christmas, a special version of Vaporeon was obtainable - that's the version you are talking about. Check this site to see all special sprites: https://prowiki.info/index.php?title=Pok%C3%A9mon_Counterparts

  5. Yes. IV-Rerolls should be added regardless of whether or not a nature change is possible in my opinion because everyone is going to have at least a few synched legendaries, but to truly even the odds there should also be a nature change available - even if it's just through recatching until the sync works.
  6. I agree with Revo and the others who mentioned this here. I support the IV-Rerolls for legendaries but in my opinion it doesn't fully solve the issue. They do indeed reduce the luck needed to get useable legendaries by a lot but in the end one would still have to get that 52% chance on sync to actually be able to use the legendary - I think putting in IV-Rerolls should also mean putting in a way of changing the nature.
  7. No you're asking me to be unreasonable which I am not going to do. In my entire 2500 hours of playing PRO over the last year and a half I've seen, not caught, only TWO mons that were 5x30 with correct nature. Staff mons were created to be a reward equivalent of 6 months of farming and they are considerably higher than that at the moment. How am I asking you to be unreasonable? You want one banned but not the other, in that case it's important to know where you draw the line of what is reasonable and what isn't. There has to be some sort of system.
  8. I'm not saying that they're the same thing. I'm asking you to draw a line that, when crossed, makes a legendary ban-worthy. After all this little difference in tankiness in a poke that isn't all that tanky anyways makes you say that one is totally acceptable while one should not be accessable under any circumstances.
  9. Go ahead and show me a 6x30 Latios that was caught by a player, I'll wait. Serperior is even worse considering there are 88 h.a. Serperior on Red Server and those are all random nature random IVs and need a specific hidden power. I was refering to a staff-reward Latios and comparing it to the Latios I linked. What makes you think one is fine but not the other?
  10. From what I can tell so far you don't want tournament pokes/staff pokes to be used in PVP because they grant advantages to their owner. My problem remains the same: in actual PVP, it doesn't matter if the perfect legendary you face was obtained as a tournament reward/a staff reward, or caught by a player, so why are you still excluding player-caught legendaries from your ban request? What exactly makes you believe that a 6x30+ Latios with 31 speed is unacceptable but a Latios with average def/hp/spdef and 31 speed/26 spatk is fine? There's a tiny tiny difference in ther survivablity that is not going to matter in the majority of games, so why is one fine but not the other?
  11. I'm asking you to bring forth good arguments to support your ideas. Since that didn't yet happen I'm still trying to convince people that the suggested changes are irrational. Btw are you answering in 1-liners on purpose now? Presenting a seemingly simple solution to a rather controversial topic is of course the easiest way to get like-minded people with no intention to actually read arguments to aid you - but it's also yet another proof of how this whining-culture is taking over.
  12. What I'm asking for is consistency. Honestly if it only were about staff pokes being banned I couldn't care less, im playing on yellow where exactly 1 staff poke is roaming around. But if we start listening to every little thing people whine about on the forums we're bound to have a bad time eventually. This thread is a first step towards that because although the arguments brought fourth contradict themselves (yes, I still think they do) , staff appears to give in at least a little to that small elite of people who keep complaining about something as minor as staff pokes in PVP. Let's be honest, even if all staffs suddenly stopped using their staff rewards people that complain here would not be any more successful than they currently are. In fact those that have a chance at reaching the ladder do so consistently in the current environment - even with staff pokes around. Back when this request was made months ago, Daeon straight up said no. That's the kind of respond I hope to see more often when day after day, new absolutely terrible suggestions are made and backed up by people who fail to see why those suggestions aren't actually good after all. To me this thread is a gateway for that kind of behaviour to become even more common.
  13. The Raikou I linked? And as I said, I don't take screenshots of every single poke I see. Considering that both the Latios and the Azelf I posted were caught not very long ago though, I think it's reasonable to believe that pokes a little bit better than that were caught during the years of PRO.
  14. How does that attack you as a person, though? I'm stating what I believe to be a fact and you haven't yet been able to prove me wrong. In fact I consider the main argument brought up here for banning staff pokes to be contradictory based on the first two of your five questions in particular: 1. Why should staff mons be allowed to be Legendary/Boss Exclusive? Players obtain near-perfect legendaries/exclusives. They are a minority indeed but they exist. If a player has the right to run around with his near-perfect legendary/exclusive poke, so should a staff member. Just like the player, the staff member should be allowed to make use of the advantage he has through said legendary/exclusive poke. That's also why I consider the change of staff reward pokes (-> question 4) to not be that huge a deal 2. Why should staff mons be perfect IVs? I don't think they neccessarily have to be, but I don't think they shouldn't be, either. For the reason already explained above: if a player can have them, so can a staff member. Regarding questions 3 and 5 I'd like to once again point out that I do not wish to discuss that topic because I don't want to compare the value of a staff reward to the actual work put in by a staff - I think that we simply don't have enough information about that and also believe that there's no objective answer to that question in general - we have no way of "finding out" what reward is truly fair and what reward is not.
  15. List the ad hominem arguments that I allegedly brought up please. If you can't find one - which I expect - you pretty much just made one up yourself by calling me out on something I didn't do.
  16. the player has no say into how and what mon is gonna be legendary, its fully RNG reliant and he has NO IMPACT on the outcome, staff can just TAKE whatever ivs they want on a legendarie. tell me how there is no difference? tournament prizes are badges for your pvp skill so why would you ban them? Last time i checked moderating mapping or answering reports have zero to do with pvp? Alot of us arent trying to get staff mon banned, we are just trying to get the parameters changed so its fairer overall. So how about you use your good old brain and try to get away from your point and actually look at the reasons explained well enough to you? I don't think you're actually getting my point. Yes, the players have absolutely no say in how their legendary ends up. Staff most certainly has. But how does that justify banning only the staff pokes? You won't notice a difference when you fight a legit caught 6x30+ Raikou vs. when you fight a 6x30+ staff Raikou. People have been arguing that the one unfair thing about staff pokes is their strength, but why would you ban them if the same poke with the same IVs is allowed just because a player had the luck to catch it? It doesn't matter how likely he was to catch it, what matters is that he is allowed to use the very same poke a staff member isn't allowed to use because "it is too strong" - the player has the same poke so it has the same strength, why is it not banned? You keep resorting to the fact that one is RNG while one is controlled, but for their PVP viability those facts do not matter. I still agree with making more players able to use legendaries with similar IVs and I still disagree with banning staff pokes when what can basically considered copies of those staff pokes are allowed to roam free just because "RNG vs. Control" - that isn't of any importance when you look at PVP in a vacuum.
  17. dw we tried mate, he just can only see his own point. guaranteed > rng and he fails to see that point. following his logic staff should run around with as many generated mons they want to, because its fair since we can just hunt those mons or we can pray to the rng god to get lucky with our single encounter with a legendary like i said i have been trying to be positive but cbb with 6head, he is either staff or eyeing for a spot lul Yea, I'm eyeing for a staff spot while literally arguing against what some of the staffs said on here (e.g. Thor, who is one of the highest staffs in PRO's hierarchy) and while being aware that you need to be staff for a certain amount of time to even obtain a legendary. Let's just ignore how ridiculous that assumption is and pretend you're right: Why would my opinion count less than anyone elses? Furthermore, you still aren't making any sense by saying guaranteed staff reward > RNG. The RNG already happened a few times and tournament rewards aren't affected by RNG at all. Most people are arguing that staff rewards are unfair because of their sheer strength, not because of how they were obtained. I already told you that I don't want to discuss on whether or not the way staffs obtain their legendaries is fair, I think it's not a topic you can discuss about lightly since you have to value the luck some players get to catch a near-perfect legendary/the skill some players have to be able to obtain a tournament reward legendary against the value of the work staffs put into this game. It can't be objective because there's no clear numbers to base a discussion on. If you want to end our discussion here I don't mind, I'll simply consider it a win on my side.
  18. I already mentioned multiple times that the probability of obtaining a near-perfect legendary doesn't affect this discussion at all as long as there is at least one regular player with such a poke. That one player would have a poke that is basically the same as a staff reward regarding pvp but would be allowed to use it while staff rewards would be banned - theres no sense in that. If you truly haven't seen a near-perfect tournament reward yet you haven't been here for long or simply are being blind on purpose. This is the one a guildmate got on yellow.
  19. You still believe that staffs shouldn't be rewarded legendaries so you still believe that what is basically the same as banning them is right. This means you basically support banning them. There's not much left to argue about in that regard so stop saying you never asked for banning them.
  20. I could link the tournament rewards. Pictures should still be publicly accessable so finding them shouldn't be a problem. Also, when I talked about punishing skill I was refering to you saying staff pokes become especially strong when a good pvp'er uses them. Your solutions included just not giving legendaries as staff rewards at all; in fact thats also the part that I recolored into a bright red so that you don't miss it. Not giving them legendaries is the same as banning those very legendaries so while you might not have directly asked for a ban you pretty much implied that it's an option for you.
  21. @Crokstar what exactly are you requesting here if not a ban? Also, are you seriously arguing that staff pokes are especially unfair in the hand of a good pvp'er? Are we going to punish skill now? And regarding the player-caught pokes not being as epic as staff pokes: there still are the tournament rewards which IV-wise are actually better than some staff pokes. What are you going to do about those?
  22. I could link a picture of a tournament reward Raikou and a staff-generated Raikou with the exact same stats and you couldn't tell the difference. I could upload the same picture twice for all you know. Now tell me why one of those is ok, while one is to be banned? You can't justify it, it wouldn't follow any logic. You said that you don't care about how either are obtained so even in that regard you can't argue about odds - what base exactly is left for you to argue on? I've already answered you multiple times on this exact same subject and you clearly don't understand. The only point you have brought up so far that isn't relativized by my previous statement is that you dislike epic legendaries because only few get them and thus want rerolls. I in fact agree that enabling everyone to get epic legendaries would be a good thing to do, but I don't think that banning staff pokes (while some normal players roam around free with just as epic legendaries) until those rerolls exist is the right approach.
  23. Thank you. That's a suggestion that hopefully makes everyone happy and doesn't contradict itself in any way.
  24. 25. rip i made a huge post and its gone cause i didnt log in rip. i will try to summarize. Players farming for 6 months doesnt gurantee a perfect mon and comparing them to staff mons is just wrong to be polite, because us hunting is full rng and we cant really decide what specific mon is gonna be nearly perfect, for all i know it could be the wild encounter to my hunting spot and even if i get that nearly perfect mon with speed being low af, even tho its really important for speedtier its basically useless. As for tournament rewards, ppl who win pvp tournaments have actually shown their abilities in the pvp game and should be able to use them, pretty sure moderating or mapping shouldnt give you permission to impact the pvp meta game as you please. Aswell as with lax rules like these we are just waiting for some kind of Zarate player to become staff and wreck havoc in pvp. Staff mons arent super unfair, but they are overpowered in certain aspects: -Legendaries are full rng and shouldnt be handed out perfectly to impact the meta game. -Staff can handpick certain mons to fill the gap in their team and its guranteed, because even if you hunt there is no gurantee you will get a perfect mon. (aswell as things like speed tier matter, so max speed is sometimes all or nothing) and its not limited ( you can even pick boss exclusive mons which require god rng for normal players) - Changing rewards is just completly wrong, because staff can just change their mon according to the meta or can snatch up perfect new introduced mons (players cant just trade their hard farmed mons, just because its lost power in the meta) The most simple solution is to just change the parameters of staff mons instead of getting rid of them. I want to see staff rewarded for their hard work, harrasment/abusement and time invested, they really do deserve it, but we should also try to keep it for fair for all sides. Legendaries, boss exclusive and unavaliable mons should be excluded and it should be limited to avaliable mons every single player could farm with perfect kinda ivs in the same 6 months timeframe. Pretty sure this solution could make most staff and playerbase happy and its better than to see these topics pop up here or discord every single week and everybody qqing or staff being forced to say *just deal with it*. This isnt meant as rant or trashtalk but personally iam tired of seeing these topics and all those posts missing the general point of this dilemma, but iam open for discussion and suggestions as long as they are civil. Have a good day guys! It doesn't matter how likely a regular player is to obtain a near-perfect legendary. My point is, even if only one player among 1000 has one, that one player is allowed to use it. It's the same for tournament rewards - a near-perfect Raikou is undoubtly an advantage, but yet I see noone arguing that tournament rewards like that Raikou should also be banned. I feel like I'm repeating myself for the 100th time here but I wil keep saying it: if you ignore the way they are obtained, a staff reward Raikou and a tournament reward/super lucky catch Raikou have absolutely no difference. How can you ban one but allow the other when in regards to PVP, they are one and the same? You can't. That's not to be discussed as it is something you deduce from simple logic - it's objective. If we look at the way those pokes are obtained, we of course see a difference: You tackle that difference and consider it unfair which is absolutely reasonable - I wouldn't mind if you opened a discussion talking about whether or not mapping/moderating/etc. should reward staffs with the staff pokes they currently are given. (I'd probably not partake in that discussion either, since I don't think you can objectively say that xx amount of staff work is worth xx amount of won tournaments/luck) But in this thread, people are trying to get staff pokes banned because of the advantage they grant to their owners while ignoring the advantage tournament rewards/huge luck on catches grant to regular players - it's contradictional. They are one and the same; ban both or neither. In my opinion letting staff pokes roam free is absolutely fine as long as players have a chance to get the very same poke stat-wise, it doesn't matter how small that chance is.
