Boss bug regarding spikes (George)
Heroofthestreet replied to Heroofthestreet's topic in Resolved Bugs
Eh, I assume this is either a hybrid bug (related to both the battle system and the npc) or a battle system bug that makes the npc bosses automatically behave the way they did because the battle was counted as a loss -
I think I may read somewhere about this, but if that was the case, I can't find the thread anymore so I'm gonna write it here. I put three layers of Spikes while playing vs boss George on hard mode (Skarmory did vs Granbull) and started phazing afterwards with Whirlwind. Lucario had less than 25% left when it got phazed out (after receiving 25% of spikes damage and damage from Counter). After that I've beaten the remaining pokemon (Houndoom, Manectric and Granbull). The weakened Lucario (which was George's last pokemon) came in on Chansey and should've died from the spikes damage, but it didn't. I clicked Seismic toss and the log immediately said that Lucario had fainted before I executed the move. At that point the boss battle was over and I didn't receive any reward. Furthermore, the winning streak was either reset or the system counted it as a loss (I was either at a +1 winning streak before that or was supposed to be at 1+ after that victory). Of course I can't provide any video material as who would've expected something like this to happen while doing a boss with which I had no problems so far, but I've also never put myself into a situation like this vs him or any other either. It was impossible to take a screen too as the battle stopped immediately after I picked the move I want to use with Chansey (Seismic toss). And yeah, I know I won't get any refund, especially because there's probably no way for you to prove that all of this happened, with which I'm fine. Just reporting this for the sake of fixing it Cheers

If someone starts your auction, you can't cancel it anymore. Read the new auction rules before it's too late -
The Sneasel/Weavile should meet the following requirements: Nature: Jolly Ability: NOT Pickpocket Speed: 31 Attack and HP: 25+ Defense and special defense: 20+ Speed has to be 31 IVs, Attack or HP can be like one or two points lower, if the other stat is higher (for instance, HP can be 23 if attack is 26). Defense and special defense MUSTN'T be lower than 20 IVs Pay well, especially if it's godly

Brainstorming the idea of a player driven "PvP Council" within PRO
Heroofthestreet replied to Qeight's topic in PvP
The more I think of this, the more I come to the conclusion that having a PVP council in a game like this (with an existing economy and with people grinding for hours) would actually indeed be a bad idea. In an ideal world, the PVP council could actually work, but only with neutral players taken from outside (like from showdown for instance, who would just be part of staff and occasionally PVP in PRO just for this purpose), but of course, I'm completely aware that's just impossible and therefore things should actually remain the same way they are right now, as bad as that sounds. Let's just say, that keeping it this way would be the lesser evil out of the two. Not to mention, I completely agree with the bolded part of Ikonos's sentence, just a quick reminder on it in case someone did not see: I'm sick and tired of such people and of course, they will always exist both in real life and in online gaming. Such kind of people most of the time tend to abuse their powers (some to a lesser extent and some to extremes) and by cumulating 1+ 2 (in which 1 represents the previously mentioned kind of people and 2 the economy and hours spent on grinding in this game) it's not hard to come to the solution/conclusion of this task, which would lead to people being in the council abusing their power for the good of their guild/former guild mates, friends and most of all, for themselves, while being more arrogant than ever. It would have a huge impact on the economy and people would be more salty than ever (in most cases justifiably), which would eventually intoxicate the community even more. I'll just make a quick example on this. Let's say I got a godly jolly Beldum/Metagross and the megas are out. I use it in PVP, I top the ladder with a high win ratio while using it and someone from the council (regardless how skilled and knowledgeable in terms of pvping he is) comes to the idea to ban it just to harm me or because he doesn't like (nor has) the mon in general, of course with the support of the others because he's more influential than the other player (in this case me). This all sounds like politics, doesn't it? With all that being said, the PVP council (if it will ever be formed) has to be made of neutral people with knowledge about the PVP aspect of Pokemon, taken from OUTSIDE. Otherwise (as said previously) please let it be just the way it is now, because as much as the staff may be lacking knowledge in this field, they are (the head and pernament staff) at least to some point neutral, if not totally -

Suggestion on banning the Prankster + Defog combo
Heroofthestreet replied to Heroofthestreet's topic in PvP
Yeah, I actually figured the stuff you wrote a bit later after I posted. Don't think it's a crucial change that needs to be fixed right now either as it's not that commonly being abused. That being said, the mods can lock this thread -
I can confirm this myself as I was also about to report the bug. Basically you can't move your character, nor interact with the bot, nor open the backpack, nor move the pokemon in your party, while everything else works fine (you can chat, see people posting messages in chats, open the pokedex etc). The bug stops once you log out, but then you lose your winning streak and win nothing. If it's necessary, I'll post a video of it that I recorded
-
You either battle each other or wait for the team preview time to expire without both of you picking a lead (is not punishable)
-
It's a well known bug and it won't be fixed any soon

Too bad it's not 31 speed. Great Larvesta anyway. I'll start -
I'm aware this will be fixed with the arrival of the new battle UI, but until then, I'd suggest banning this combo. The reason behind this lies in Prankster not working correctly in PRO, which results in it being broken. To be more specific, dark types are not immune to it (which isn't a dealbreaker as that was a case in Generation VI), but it lets certain mons (most notably Klefki) freely defoging opponent's hazards away (obvously even on dark types), while preserving your own screens, which wasn't a thing existing in Generation VI as during that time Klefki couldn't learn Defog. Considering that Klefki is mostly used on hyper offense teams which usually include Dragonite and mons equipped with sash, it is definitely a thing worth considering. Furthermore, there are already certain combos that are being banned in this game because of them not working like they are supposed to (for instance, sash + memento or wonder guard + sash) so I don't see a reason why this shouldn't be the case too. To conclude this, I'll once more emphasize, I just want the combo of Prankster + Defog to be banned until working properly, not to ban Pranskter, Klefki or anything else.

I won't discuss with fanboys

I definitely agree with the part I bolded, but that's something that's up to the developers and we can't really do anything about it then sit and wait. I know how frustrating it is to deal with certain mons that are top tier meta, just because some stuff don't exist in this game that had already existed since gen IV or V. But the way you "wrapped" this whole suggestion was in my opinion inappropriate, as there is no need to give remarks to specific playstyles, as the actual beauty of this game is in it's variety of playstyles, be it stall, hyper offense, rain, sun or whatever else

why is DEF and SPDEF highlighted?
Heroofthestreet replied to Tho1234's topic in Resolved General Support
The colors show which stat the nature of your pokemon increases and which it decreases. In this particular case, your vullaby has a gentle nature, which increases the special defense of the pokemon and decreases it's defense stat. The vulpix has one of the neutral natures (Bashful) which doesn't increase nor decrease any of the pokemon's stats
