  • It's not your fault :) as the forums have been reworked, the Guide has become disorganised. I am now working on fixing it (funnily enough, I was editing it while you just answered).

  • I legit can't believe someone actually read through 35 pages of words of my guide lol Glad  you enjoyed it 🙂

Hey

Since my last post I've build my team and won angainst some Bosses (Mostly on Medium atm).

Now I stumbled into the Pigeotide-Quest and it got me thinking:

As it's benefits for a debuffer are on the lower end (+ Speed is good against fast enemyi, +Def/SpDef are not that big, I think) I was thinking if we could have an relatively easy sweeper for a beginner?

As it's stat leans towards SAtt, it would need 20+ IV SpAtt+Speed, 252 EV in SpAtt+Speed, Moves are Hurricane, HeatWave, RacorWind (until they make it a 2-Turned move) and as a last move (mainly against Stone-Types) Ominous Wind / Twister / HiddenPower( if it's a good Type)/Roost (Defensive but makes it bad against most Stone-Pokes)

Wold that one be viable Option or do you think it's not worth it because of other reasons.

Also, if it's viable, I'd argue it's also viable for Boss Beginners as the quest is imo about as easy/hard as to beat Nearo which is needed for your Special-Setup Option.

What are your thoughts on that one?

Edit: I found one Problem myself: Since you can't use the same Pokemon twice against a boss in Medium/Hard, you'd need another Physical debuffer or only use it against Bosses where you setup against an SpAtt-Pokemon

  • Bhimoso changed the title to The Ultimate Boss Guide for Newbies! (Under Rework post updates)

I feel like this guide needs to mention how ridiculously good Pangoro is as a Baton Pass sweeper. Stab Power Trip oneshots literally everything with a couple of stages and for opponents with annoying abilites that proc on contact like Static or Flame Body, you can either use Earthquake or a Lum Berry. I usually have +6 ATK/DEF/SPEED, so that's 18 stages (should be 24 but BP is bugged and doesn't carry over accuracy from Coil), so Power trip is 570 base power including stab. 570.

@Karyoplasma

Getting to that part right now, in the Baton Pass Teams. I will make a sample team for each difficulty + list a lot of possible candidates to use against bosses 🙂

Updated the guide with all the explanation fixed, up to date with the next update + samples for Self Setup Teams. Will now work on the Baton Pass teams and then I will do a brief analysis of each boss.

Hey I'm confused when I comes to Jumpluff. You say 20+ IVs in every stat recommended but not necessary, except speed.

Does that mean don't worry about have 20+ speed or 20+ speed is absolutely necessary?
