An idea a friend and I had yesterday is for there to be scheduled, even weekly or bi-weekly outbreaks. Even if it’s a random rare mon in a random area once a week for 24 hours, it would be something to look forward to each week that would help bridge the time between events and create an uptick in the number of players online, similar to the way BCC does on weekends. 
 

bonus points if (maybe not every time) it came with a world quest

Frankly speaking, it's disappointing to behold such a classic and exciting OG feature neglected and pushed into obscurity.

To put the figures of the OBs across the years from the outbreaks-announcement channel on the discord server - 

2019(starting from September 29th)- around 62
2020 - around 84
2021 - around 30 
2022 - around 25 
2023 - only 2
