Website rework? Suggestions here!

Hello fellow PRO players, I decided to rework the PRO website so we can do more stuff with it and users actually have a reason to visit it on daily base.

For this change I want your suggestions! But only answer this post if there is something you want to be changed or added!

If you want to show your support just like the post! I will definitely check them later on. Also, don't repost suggestions! If you support them like their post!

 

I didn't even start working on the website yet and it will take a while. I think it will need between 1-2 months, but no guarantee.

 

General changes

1. Index page will be easier to load.
   
2. Caching will be shorter.

    • Guild leaders can create and manage guild islands here.

      Those are my plans so far:
      
      1. You will be able to buy a guild island for $20.000.000.
         
      2. Only guild members can enter the island.
         
      3. There will be three dungeon maps with spawns.
         
         • You can choose your own spawns from a drop down menu.
           
         • The Pokemon in the drop down menu will be decided by staff members.
           
         • There will be balanced tiers and you have to choose pokemon for different tiers.
           

      [*]You can choose 10 Tutors that will be placed on the island.

      [*]Only guild leaders can buy the island and change spawns/tutors.

      • Changing spawns and/or tutors costs $5.000.000.
        

      [*]All guilds will get the same maps with different spawns/tutors.

      [*]You will be able to buy the island and change stuff on the PRO website.

      [*]The guild island will not be accessible until next server restart after buying it.

      [*]There will be an NPC in Vermilion City, Canalave City, Olivine City and Lilycove that can teleport you to your guild island.

      [*]You can choose a PVP or Hunt path and get daily quests matching your choice.

    Requirements:

    1. Your guild needs at least 50 members.
       
    2. You need at least 300 hours to enter the guild island.
       
    3. You need to be Sinnoh champion to enter the island.

Yeah maybe a long shot but something to the idea of trading steam game items like dota-trade or something similar where you put mons on sale and a person can either contact you on site or in game.

If its possible i want to suggest to manage money and trading with other people.

 

Would make it way easier to trade pokemon. Sell pokemon. Personal shops would get more popularity.

More money would be around because more people would have the option to trade which is good for the economy.

 

Manage friendlist would be also cool.

 

Another thing is if you toggle BB-Codes at the editor u cant click on the buttons. Would be better if you´re able to do it like if you´re able to press on it u get

 

for example. Dont need 2 type that much.

 

If its possible i would appreciate it if you can include a global auction house/ trade house.

. You can easily search for Pokes. No exhausting trade chat needed. Problem of many trader/buyer would be solved. This topic would change a LOT! in PRO.

Im concerned on how safe this is. I dont know how much of an issue it will ever be, but lists like this essentially tells hackers who is most efficient to hack. Same reason why Riot doesnt tell you see how what and how many skins other users have.

It would also be nice to have things like Excavation Sites, since this is not possible to check unless you set a personal reminder or pay to enter an Excavation Site. (Sucks when you pay to enter and your mental timer is off.) Other examples like this: Love Island Rocks, Dig Spots, Valley of Steel Quests, Newspaper Quests.

 

 

Auction House

 

Its been explained that an auction-style function wouldnt be possible in game. However, maybe the technology is here now?

Also something like a vote system could be an Idea, where you can log in and vote daily to get some "forum-points" wich you can spend for special Designs like a colorfull Forumname etc

Auction house in guilds accessible to anyone with an island so we can easily sell pvp mons to each other. This would weed out any spam low ball offers more than likely as well. Minimal information to track and process if limited to serious bids. I.E. minimal bid increase of 50k and other limits/buy instant options etc. Time limits on the auction such as 8 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, 3 days, 1 week or 2 weeks. Unable to bid without the cash in inventory. Offers are directly transacted when auction ends in game. This would overall alleviate some stress from the now overused trade chat.

(Auction house, when u offer the money will go to a "data bank" in site , if another people give a better bid u get the money back)

• Add funny facts on main site .
  
• Make a "Invite a friend system" .
  
• Add a Boss Cooldown check by insert players name.
  
• Make a page that answer some questions, like the bot at discord.(inside that page make a log of recently posts at forum.)
  
• Add/Set currency prices from items to fix prices to players check them ,without filling unnecessary the chats ingame.
  
• Add FAQ. Page of quests , mechanics and others. -> can be redirect to forum pages.

Would be nice to have an API for information about your account.

I will personnaly use it to clean up my PC with a previous select of PKM on Excel. But i think about programmers than want to create some Bot on discord, or for their Website.
