I think the borderline cases are exactly why strict labels become difficult. If “epic” is going to be used in listings, having a general guideline is useful, but I wouldn’t want moderators policing every single IV point. For me, the overall spread and usefulness of the Pokémon matter more than whether it technically hits 20+ in every relevant stat. A 19/19 with excellent distribution could easily be more valuable than a technically “epic” one with a poor spread. Having a clearly stated personal standard like yours is probably the best compromise: buyers know what the seller means, without turning the label into another complicated set of rules.

What would change: Mods who are familiar with the rules and policies will correctly cite and enforce them instead of bothering rule abiding members. What to do: Have them read the rules. Punish mods who abuse admin by creating a more reliable reporting system. Nothing wrong with strict rules, everything wrong when mods do not know them Pros and cons Pros mods will not waste time on normal conversations.
