Hello @Stug. My apologies for the inconvenience. Could you try lowering the happiness of your Budew and Cleffa by having them faint against a wild Pokémon then maxing out their happiness once more? Remember that Budew also requires Daytime to evolve, while Cleffa does not have a time requirement.

This is because the spawn happens during a script, thus the game freezes the player and teleports you to the PC after logging out. We can only recommend using a repel while climbing waterfalls to avoid this issue. Let me know if you have further questions.

If you had caught the Ditto, it would have been holding your Life Orb, but I see the circumstances didn’t allow that. We will not restore your item since it was lost to an intended mechanic of the game and would be unfair to previous players who also lost items and were denied. Below, I’ve included ways of obtaining Life Orbs to replace the one lost. If you have any further questions, please let me know.
