Lols. Everybody makes mistakes. As you make your way through the actual game, you will notice that spelling/grammar is not a major concern at the moment. English is not the native language of many of PRO's staff members, but they try their best. :) Enjoy your time here. Cheers.

Arroar on Pokémon [Videos/Streams] [commentary]
Pretentious replied to Arroar's topic in General Art Showcase
Awesome video, Arroar. Can't wait to see more videos in the future. Also, if you do decide to run through with Nuzlocke rules in the future, let me know and I'll set up an alt to play with you as well. Cheers. -
1,2, & 3: You're right. It's nothing like breeding, but that's not the point I was trying to make. My point is that you get a brand new Pokemon without hunting for it. You get TWO chances instead of one. I understand why you want this. It makes the game easier. And that's the whole reason why it shouldn't be implemented. Giving you two opportunities to get a good Pokemon-while only capturing one-devalues the rarity of the Pokemon, creates more opportunities for OP Pokemon, and takes away from the hunting aspect of the game.

This is essentially the exact same thing as breeding. If you want to have the best Pokemon, go find it or trade with someone else who found it. It's a very simple concept. All of these recent breeding-related suggestions are an attempt to make the game easier--which goes against what the developers are trying to accomplish. This ENTIRE game is made up of three parts: hunting, trading, and battling. Allowing players to get two Pokemon for the cost (time spent hunting) of one doesn't fit here.

I have this EXACT same problem. I haven't been around much lately, but it always seems to be nighttime whenever I do log in. ;( That being said, I agree that the day/night cycles are a wittle too long.

Can't get out of starter area (pallet town)

It should be mandatory... with a 2 hour cool down. >:D -
I really like your artistic style. Looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future!! :)

You nailed it with this post. The most thorough trainers will wait until they finish the game, or region, before embracing the more time-consuming task of fielding a truly competitive team. As someone else added, EV reducing items are also very important in case you choose to use a competitive battler during the main storyline. Great discussion so far. Good job guys. :)

1,2,3-- I feel the same way. I prefer battles this way because it adds an extra layer of difficulty to the NPCs. You have such a huge advantage if you're given a free switch, and PRO isn't meant to be easy. I don't like that trainer battles can potentially force unwanted EVs to your Pokémon, but you can't have your cake and eat it too.
-
Unless this was changed in the last week or two, then this statement is completely false. While some trainers do not give XP (mostly storyline related trainers), the gym leaders DO give XP when defeating them.

I don't think this would be a wise idea to implement in a game with such a large age discrepancy among players. I think the guild feature, whenever it becomes fully functional, will provide the players with a safer and more age-appropriate means to develop friendships. :) Good suggestion, but I just don't think it's suitable for this game in particular.

I had a hunch that the Loveless nick was you! You're a tricky mctrickster! -
I don't see how anyone could say that this community is crappy. Everytime a player introduces himself/herself they are welcomed by hordes of players and staff. Staff is always online and available to help. Numerous players are also quick to help with whatever they can, and I've seen very few "problem players". This game is intended to be fun for the players, and it most certainly achieves that goal by offering a friendly and supportive environment. Welcome to the community! Enjoy your experience. :)

Awesome idea. I think an OCCASIONAL spawn would be cool, but at a much much much smaller density rate for random encounters. To keep the mapping problems minimal, I'd be fine with having obstacles such as trees/buildings impassible still. Great way to introduce bird mounts. And I think if it's even a little faster than the bike/ other mounts, it will still help. Awesome suggestion. I really hope this is the solution for FLY. :)

I've ran into notblackjack's bug many times before also. I'd suggest simply moving the trigger from it's current location to the tile immediately left of the old man so that it doesn't interfere with trainers who are trying to cross the bridge to encounter the Sewaddle. This way you get the message if you're trying to enter the gym and only if you're trying to enter the gym.

Why don't you take a seat right over there?

Interesting username for a kid's game, but at least now they'll be protected! Hope you enjoy the game. -
As much as I enjoy testing this game and trying to help out whenever I can, I think I'm gonna step aside for a while and wait until the full release. PRO is a beautiful game with amazing potential, and I can't wait to play the full version. Best of luck guys. Hope to see you soon. :)

These items should be moved from the "Misc. Items" section to the "Key Items" section: -Card Key -Lift Key -Silph Scope

I personally prefer the way it's already set up: exchanging tiny mushrooms, nuggets, etc. for Pokedollars.

Nice Mankey.

Step 1. Step 2. Don't worry man-- it's just because you don't have the necessary amount of posts.

DOUBLE POST!!!! More from my trip aboard the S.S. Anne: 1. Fred doesn't give you the coin case as his dialogue says. 2. I try not to report text errors anymore, but Charlie is this NPCs name, his cross-dressing son across the room goes by the name David. 3. When you interact with Cubone, the "picking up an item" sound is used instead of Cubone's cry. 4. *IMPORTANT* Were these two sprites somehow switched? Obviously in this case the boy should be named Henry and the girl should be named Emily, but I've noticed that this girl sprite is often used in places where a boy sprite should be instead. Other examples of this sprite issue can be found in: -Viridian City Pokemart -Throughout the SS Anne ( and see also #2 above) Many of the Dreamcast, Gamecube, & N64 interactions are incorrect. For example, you interact with a N64 and it says it's a Gamecube. I'm not sure how PRO's scripting system works--if you place the "gaming system" as an event with dialogue, or if the mappers place the tile and the scripters interact with it from there--but it'll be easier just to change the "gaming system" than to change all of the accompanying dialogue. 1. Lies. This is a gamecube ;) 2. False. 3. Says it's a gamecube. Hope this helps.
