I think a game only truly "dies" when the community and the people who run the game stop caring. In this case, i'm pretty sure neither have.

While thousands of new players may not be optimal, we definitely need some sort of advertisement move to attract new players. The question is "how do we attract the right amount of new players?". We can't just rely on a new player here and there while one or two others quit. We need a metaphorical "shot in the arm" of new blood into the servers.

Your stats don't include the official discord stats, which is way more popular than the forums these days.

Not once in my 3 years of playing this game have I ever felt the game is "dying." I feel even now there are more and more people playing.

Where are the Mega evolutions? Because of PvP from PRO today, in my opinion, it is the only reason that makes players stop playing, since 99.999999999999% of the teams are stalls and are hardly countered.

Surely Megas will give the PRO a few more years of life. Many players will return when they launch, and PvP will indeed become interesting again. Because today is sad.
