Im not sure if what happened was a bug or if it is supposed to work like that, but if it is supposed to work like that i would like to suggest changing it. While hunting i got a shiny poke, i was watching tv at the same time so i didnt notice and only realized that it was shiny after i run away and the shiny notification had poped up.
