forgot to take ss for gym 3 but going into it gyar was level 30 and i had caught a gastly which was level 25 going in and a magnemite at lvl 16. after beating ivsaur went from lvl 20 to lvl 22 and that was the only change as i had to retry the gym

 Forgot to take ss right before i entered but haunter was level 41 and venusaur was level 40, this ss was taken mid way through the 3rd npc attle within the gym

When i reached the gym leader i couldnt complete in 1 go, so i headed to below fuchsia at the beach and killed the trainers there to gain a level on venusaur and went back to challenge the leader

took ss after 2 battles, gyarados was at lvl 42 before entering, this was the only pokemon that gained xp(had no xp share on aswell)

after gym2 everything same level except metapod was the level 7 spinda that remained level 7. Note that 3 rcs were used in the process as gym was challenging with scyther u-turn

after 5th gym-felt severely underlevelled here, only won cause of spinda skill swampping me so hammer arm spd+, but would probably have one easily getting vigorth to -6 and then getting fraxour to +6 relying on no crits

first of all i  would like to apologise as i suck at anything writing related so sorry for a lack of structure and stuff just gonna write my thoughts as they come to me

 

My first impression of the new change were that in the very beginning just after killing a few pokemons i could see that it was alot better to level up. The xp you get from catching pokemon seems nice and an example of when this is beneficial is catching a pokemon without an attacking move, you can catch pokemon instead of leading and switching out. However with the catching system you gain EVs. This can be beneficial and and not and i would suggest having the ability to turn this off. 

 

The spawns felt very underlevelled in some areas such as before the 2nd gym in olivine there is no real good spot to get xp that i could see and with this being one of the harder gyms i felt it tough to progress with the amount of damage scyther constantly did, so i would suggest altering the spawn levels in some areas to match your level.

 

Going through the regions i felt that levelling 2 pokemon at the same time was not helpful and honestly a detriment whilst doing gyms 1-8, although when you get to the e4 it is easier to level more than 1 pokemon. 

 

when levelling, once you reach around level 60 it feels alot slower and alot more of a grind and this can maybe be an issue for the sinnoh requirement of 6 level 80s. Even with the requirement of 6 lvl 80 for an average playe i feel they will need alot more, as i had to rely on flash and praying they missed or didnt crit so i can set up, and even then i had a fully ev trained good iv haxorous.

 

The exp share felt nice in the early to midgame and for levelling at end game, however i would still prefer the old system with some how the addition of an exp share as i feel the differnece is too large going from the current time of aroun 20-40 mins to around a few hours with the new system, and this is just with the e4 not to mention non e4 trainers. 

 

During my playthrough it felt that my only source of xp were the trainers. this seems like an issue as if you wipe on a trainers your missing out on your main source of xp and will fall behind most likely resulting in more balckouts

 

As i would consider my self an experience and knowledgeable player i was able to finds starts to beat either gyms,bosses or whatever that may be but with the system and your overall level you end up with i feel newer players will have a harder time and may get hard stucked resulting in them doing more teius grinding in some cases with no real xp farm 

 

I feel you are almost always unerlevelle in gyms from gym 4 onwards and i guess this could be helped with an overall increase in wild pokemons levels and some other stuff that i dont know(you guys probably do)

 

As i havent played without ms boost, guild boost etc i cant give me full thoughts on this but with that i feel it will be alot better, however this seems to me that you will be forced to buy ms unless you want to grind for so much longer and this also limits newer players that wont be able to afford or kknow what a ms even is or other ways to increase xp gain.

 

The addition of being able to evolve your pokemon with no drawback except the level they learn moves is a very positive addition for me. This allows you to feel not be locked to staying unevolved and making the process harder.

 

My overall thought are that there are some positive and negative thought on the rework but i would prefer the old system with the addition of some features from the test server, such as keeping the xp of all evolution stages the same as it is in test server, cathing xp, ev on catch with option to enable/disable, the addition of an exp share even if it would be nerfed/changed. I have no clue how this would even be added but my last suggestion is to keep xp the way it is in early/mid game and revert to old xp in end game, once again i have zero clue if this suggestion is even doable but thought id share my thoughts anyway. Also the exp share is super good early game and for the ability to ev train multiple pokes at once and is a really good addtion.

It's awesome to see Ivysaur has same exp as bulbasaur! So we shouldn't keep the poke before its evolving to keep leveling easy. Incredible plan! Hope this update released soon.

Kanto feedback

Imo it's wasnt that hard, even tho i skipped a lot of trainers. I whiped a few times because i was under leveled. But im pretty sure, if u dont skip most of the trainers like i did, it should be easy. The xp share is amazing, I put it on my magikarp until lvl 30 (aproximatly),so it could catch up with venusaur exp.Then i put it on venusaur, and I leveled it up without even battling with it. E4 was the hardest part for me; because of being underleved. But then i just used the 6/7 rc i found and used it on gyara, and it was gg. at the beginning i was matching exp level wiht npc, but around 6/7th gym i was like 10 levels behind, victory road around 15levels.
