The host already said that it would be decided by a majority vote. You can just join the server and vote there for where you want the tournament to be. I don't think we should be arguing here about the format or anything.3 points

For those promoting the idea of the tournament happening on Showdown : Source for details : https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/253415-order/page/2/#findComment-1549229 If the tournament happen on PRO as it was expected then I'll participate : Username: Yauga Server: Silver Country/Timezone: GMT +2. @Itzrohan I have edited your post back to the original amount of 2.5m. You can not withdraw a bid once it has been placed. @Yuvimon I am mentioning you, as you held the highest offer after they edited the bid and wanted to notify you incase you wish to bid higher, rather than have you believe your c.o remained. The current offer is 2.5m2 points

Lugario, I think you misunderstood my point, let me clarify: when I said that Showdown would be used for practice, I wasn't referring to practicing gameplay or testing teams, I meant the practicality of hosting and organizing the tournament due to reliable replays, automatic record of details, no server lock issues, etc.The focus here is to ensure matches are conducted correctly and verifiably and bringing up the argument that "Showdown is just for practice" completely misses the context, since the point was never about gameplay, but about tournament infrastructure. About "legit" Pokémon, that’s entirely relative... what exactly defines legitimacy? Someone could spend 90 days hunting for a perfect IV Pokémon, while another person could generate the same one with PKSM in 5 minutes, as long as the Pokémon is possible to obtain, both are technically legit, even if you disagree. That's a discussion that has long been settled in official VGC tournaments, and also in PRO, since there's a lot of generated Pokemon's that were given for the Ladder Tournaments winners, in the end, players are allowed to bring Pokémon that were generated or modified, provided they are legal and possible within the game. But, how exactly is obtaining high IVs a skill? IVs are determined by RNG, the process is mostly about repetition and patience until the right spread appears, that doesn't really reflect player skill, but rather time investment and luck, that's all. I couldn't disagree more about Showdown being a place that needs less PvP skill, you can use all the resources you mentioned in PRO aswell. Suggesting that a mere screenshot from both players is sufficient is highly unreliable, since screenshots can easily be manipulated or falsified, so depending on players to self-verify matches is not a robust solution, and saying that any suspected rule violations can simply be resolved by asking staff is, frankly, unrealistic. If it were truly simple, we wouldn’t even need a staff review process. Finally, about servers, I agree that organizing brackets by server could mitigate some issues, though it doesn’t fully solve the underlying logistical challenges1 point

Hello, With all due respect, I understand this is frustrating, but this is our current policy regarding these situations. If you can make a reasonable suggestion you are more than welcome to, and I for one would happily read it. Our job isn't to be the mean fun police or to be unfair to anyone. We are always looking to evolve, and do what's fair for the player base. Reality is you didn't win. You extended an auction that was cut short. There were no opportunities to bid past your bid before the auction was cut short. In all my rulings I try and give the best explanation for every instance I get involved, and I have done so in this case. If you feel I made a misjudgment you can make a thread Here and if you have a suggestion on how we realistically could change how we operate you can make a thread here we do actually read the suggestions. Very Respectfully, Larfleeze1 point

I mean, you’re free to leave whenever you want, but it doesn’t sound reasonable. How is it not PRO related if the rules are literally the same? The only thing Showdown does is remove hunting RNG and grind advantage, which honestly feels like the fairest thing for a competition1 point
