Barsonball's cross server GIVEAWAY!!! The Intro: Hello to all silver and gold trainers, my name is Barsonball, I have been a loyal Pokemon Revolution Online (PRO) player since late 2017 with 5100+ hours and until recently I experienced a in game bug/ error that has caused me to lose interest in PRO. This unfortunate issue hit me where it hurts and I wouldn't wish it upon my worse enemy. The moral of the story is that you cannot be too safe and must save all proof of account assets and loot. I am here for the people! The Story: Last night there was a server reset to address a known issue regarding the bug/ error with valentine's day Smeargle chromas where you we're being able to apply to any normal Smeargle. Due to the bug, removing the chroma from my Vday smeargle ended up stripping the form off the Smeargle. This bug has caused me to lose the only form I cared for in the past 8+ years. Unfortunately, for me I did not screenshot the form prior as I never thought this could happen. My Vday Smeargle was caught February 25 and I have been hunting a Smeargle form since October 2024 in hopes to get any seasonal form. I repeled and event island hunted for all Smeargle form in each event with no success until February 25, 2026. I put my blood, sweat and tears to get this form and it has just recently been taken away from me. The Proof: 1- I have the the system message of my encounter. 2- Screenshot of the Smeargle in question. 3- I would never catch a normal Smeargle with a masterball. 4- I would never train a Smeargle with these awful stats and in this short period of time. 5- I would never purchase 2 chromas for a form that did not catch costing 500k for each chroma. These we're purchased at 250k each due to the CAUGHT Vday Smeargle I successfully achieved. 6- I am know in silver server wide to be a loyal, respectful, honest and helping trainer in this community with friends in the staff team and other guild leaders and members that I treat as my own guildies. 7- I would not be going to this extent to create awareness and giveaway a priceless Lucario if I was lying in any part of this. The Goal: The soul purpose of this giveaway is to raise awareness and stand up for what we work hard for. My goal and hope is that you share this experience amongst your friends and learn from my experience before it becomes your experience. Changelog 22.02.2026: Reworked client settings. Android has different modes to simplify settings that adjust refresh rate and FPS now. Instead of Save, Apply, and Cancel, there are only Save and Cancel now. Settings should always revert if you don't save them now. The flickering that used to occur only in the regular Android client should no longer happen at all. Reworked reconnect. It is much more stable now. You are always connected to the proxy server you have the best connection to now. Reworked the network code. The client is now more robust against poor internet connections and corrupted packets. Together with the new network code, this could potentially also fix bugs like not being able to see all boxes but only Box:30. Windows 7 is supported again. Tags work on Android as well now. The D-PAD and movement no longer get stuck when switching maps or entering battles. Fixed some bugs that caused music to not play temporarily in certain situations. Z-Cosmic Power works correctly and is properly displayed in the client now. Fixed that balls are visually shown in Random and NPC battles again. Pokeballs are no longer always shown. Legendaries always get Master Balls, Ultra Beasts get Beast Balls, and all other Pokémon have a small chance to get a different ball than a Pokeball now. Fixed a bug that caused the online status of the friend and guild lists to not update correctly. Fixed a bug that in some situations caused the client to become unresponsive until restarted. Fixed a bug where trades with Pokémon from the box used the team count and could cancel the trade. Fixed tooltips on Android. You can see all tooltips by pressing and holding now. You can use all letters in PMs that you can use in global chats now. The random sets have been thoroughly reworked again. You should now encounter less setup sets overall. Battle changes that will be released with a slight delay until everything has been fully tested. Moves that are disabled due to items like Choice Scarf, moves like Encore, or abilities like Gorilla Tactic can no longer be selected in the move selection and show the reason in the tooltip now. U-turn/similar KOing the opponent that had used Destiny Bond the turn before and moved again 1st will no longer deny the pivoting from the U-turn. Poltergeist's item message now only displays when it will deal damage to the target holding an item. Supercell Slam now will make its user crash against Volt Absorb/Motor Drive/Lightning Rod opponents. Electric-type moves will no longer be able to miss VS Volt Absorb and Motor Drive opponents. User's Download will no longer activate on a fainted target, typically when it was brought onto the field via U-turn/similar and the target fainted from the U-turn. The Terrain removal effect from Ice Spinner will no longer be denied by the opposing Red Card. Focus Sash now will trigger on holder's self confusion damage to leave it with 1 HP if the damage would have fainted it from 100% to 0% HP. Mirror Armor will no longer trigger on Sticky Web's SPD drop. The misleading "Substitute taking the hit" message when Future Sight was used by an Infiltrator user and that user was on the field the turn it hits the opponent will no longer display. Dire Claw and Relic Song will stop triggering the opposing Vital Spirit and Insomnia when they rolled for Sleep. Aqua Ring's extra "HP recovered" message has been removed. Perish Song now will fail to affect the opponent having an Ability making it immune to Perish Song's current type (Liquid Voice/Galvanize VS Water Absorb.../Volt Absorb...) Sketch now will successfully copy the move that can call other moves such as Sleep Talk, instead of copying the called move from Sleep Talk/similar. Sketch now will only copy the move instead of also copying its extra effect like switching, raising/decreasing stats... Disable now will disable the move that can call other moves such as Sleep Talk, instead of disabling the called move from Sleep Talk/similar. Encore now fails by default VS all moves that can call other moves such as Sleep Talk. A Pokémon still asleep from a previous battle that concluded will stop always waking up on turn 1 in the next battle. Gems' "strengthened" message now comes right before damages will be dealt instead of after. Unnerve's message now will mention the opposing team instead of the current opposing Pokémon facing the Unnerve user.19 points

In the latest update there was a change that when you teach a pokemon any HM it will no longer have full PP but will now have 0 PP on said move. This specific mechanic was a core mechanic for the Hoopa Dungeon and the Trainer Tower. Outside of those 2 content parts it was basically not used at all. The big issue is, that both those content parts were balanced around this said mechanic. Unfortunately this change also wasn't mentioned in the Update Logs, making player fail dungeon runs due to them not being aware. Before I explain the suggestion/s I have I'll first explain why this mechanic is needed in the current state of those 2 content parts. Long explanation: I'll start with Hoopa Dungeon, since I feel this specific content suffers the most from this change. Hoopa Dungeon: When building a team for this specific dungeon you need to find a team of 4 pokemon that can clear all of the 4 possible portals. The issue is that you do not know which portal you will get unless you enter the dungeon. And even then you do not know which exact fights you'll get inside of said portal. This overall makes the option for viable pokemon to bring already VERY low. Gyarados was one of the core parts of every team, since it was able to deal with sturdy pokemon, it had good options to set-up due to Moxie, had other reliable moves such as Rain Dance and Bite and you were able to constantly refresh the Waterfall PP due to the old HM mechanic. We (as in some of my guild mates, some friends outside of the guild and myself) did quite a few test runs after the latest change and tried to find new teams which consistently are able to clear all 4 portals. Unfortunately there isn't one. Yes we figured out teams to somewhat consistently clear 2-3 portals, if you hit the wrong portal it's an instant surrender. The main issue is that we are experienced in this dungeon since we ran this dungeon a lot of times and know exactly how to cheese certain fights. Any new player who will try to start getting in to this dungeon won't be able to at all. This entire part is just for a solo/duo portal run. For team runs (2+ portals) this HM change gets even worse. Another big issue of the dungeon is when you evolve a pokemon it automatically loses HP due to it's base HP increasing. This usually isn't a big deal outside of the dungeon but inside of the Hoopa dungeon it is quite annoying. Not being able to learn a move when the pokemon evolves on the correct level is also a really annoying issue within the dungeon. A random example: You would evolve Drilbur on level46 to Excadril. Once evolved it will not try to learn "Drill Run". This issue rarely occurs but when it happens it's really problematic since you are not able to relearn moves. The dungeon itself relies quite a bit on RNG. However you were able to reduce the RNG to an barely important part of the run before the change. Now the dungeon is pure RNG. This dungeon had barely any competitive side to it before and now it's basically gone entirely. In it's current state you enter the dungeon, pray you get the 2 best portals and hope you do not get any sturdy fights within your portal. This simply doesn't sound fun or healthy for any good competition. Ultimately there simply is no good replacement for Gyarados in the current state of the dungeon and it's a massive issue for the balancing of it. Now here are some ideas we already had about fixing the HM issue/the dungeon itself: - a guaranteed Lum, Sitrus & Leppa Berry drop within the dungeon (could even be an augment) - way higher drop rate of Leppa Berry - (team run specific) only needing to clear 1 portal when running as a team The issue in regards to those is that those wouldn't fix the actual HM issue. There is a little bit more to explain in regards to the dungeon but I'll keep it there for now. Trainer Tower: The Trainer Tower itself has a lot of issues in it's design. I made a post about this a long time ago already. The most used strat for the Trainer Tower was to get a lvl39/69 Gyarados with Moxie lended to you and sweep with said Pokemon. It was able to deal with nearly all trainers due to it's moveset, was in comparison very easy to obtain and didn't require a lot to be useable, making it also very easy for new players. One of the main core parts was the fact that you could refill the Waterfall PP by overwriting Waterfall with another HM (Surf, Dive) and then reteach Waterfall again. This entire mechanic is now gone. You will constantly need to talk to Nurse Joy to refill the Waterfall PP, making you lose 1.5k every single time just to refill PP. This isn't as much of a problem on the lower floors, since those trainers only have 3 pokemon. However once you reach higher floors the trainers start to have 4-6 Pokemon, making you lose Waterfall PP really fast, depending on the trainer type you are facing. Yes, for us old players it doesn't matter as much since we hoarded a lot of Leppa Berries, Ether etc. but for new players this is simply not possible. Having to use the Nurse Joy quite often just for a single run will drain the money of new players incredibly fast. Suggestions: First of all, I do understand that this mechanic was very likely not inteded and goes against the idea of consumable TMs etc. However how it was made with the recent change it's not healthy for the game or said content at all and either needs a full revert, at the bare minimum an adjustment or said content needs to be totally revamped/rebalanced. - when a Pokemon has only 3 moves and you teach a HM move it still obtains the full PP of said move - when you overwrite a non-HM move with a HM move you still obtain the full PP of said HM move - when you overwrite a HM move with another HM move all the PP get fully depleted - (Trainer Tower specific) just remove the cost of Nurse Joy within the floors I'm happy to hear other ideas from other players and happy to discuss other options. However there needs to be a change because this change is not healthy for the 2 specific content parts it is aimed at. Thanks a lot for reading.12 points

Hello, I have two questions, but the second one is the most important to me. It seems that recently, most precisely since the Christmas event started, shadow Ekans have stopped spawning. This brings my first question : - It is well-known that on Pinkan, event forms cannot be found, but the rule is not as clear for nesting grounds. How does the game handle the possibility that 4 different forms (regular, shiny, shadow and xmas for example) could be available at the same time on the same map ? From my personal experience, I have never seen both a shadow form and an event form on the same map during the same event. For example, this hlw I encountered several shadow slowpokes in Forlorn, but not a single hlw slowpoke. Last year it was the opposite : several hlw slowpokes and no shadowpoke. Can you confirm that during an event (let's say vday), both vday poke and shadow poke are available ? The second question is more a request to staff members. Could you please check if the spawn of all shadow forms is working as intended ? It seems to me that the only shadow forms that were obtained in the last two months are the ones that didn't have a form during xmas. Would it be possible that the xmas event somehow altered the shadow spawns ? Of course this could just be RNG but shadow forms are really important for all the people who have the ability to hunt them, and we would all love to have a confirmation that the spawns are working correctly. Also, since there are very few shadows that are encountered each day, it is difficult to have data that is reliable enough to validate or invalidate my hypothesis. Thank you for reading.4 points

Hello everyone! This is my first time creating a topic in the PvP section. My name is M1dnight, and this is the story of my Rate My Team (RMT) PvP website, designed primarily for the Pokémon Revolution Online (PRO) new PvP players. ↳ M1dnight - National Dex OU ↲ Picture 1: A first look at M1dnight - National Dex OU Homepage Picture 2: Pokémon Listing Who is "M1dnight"? So, who am I? I’m just a kid who fell in love with Pokémon at a very young age. At 10 years old, I already had a passion for the world of Pokémon. By 17, I discovered Pokémon Revolution Online (PRO), which opened up my whole new way to play Pokémon. Now, at 23, that passion hasn't faded, it's only grown. I still carry that same excitement for the Pokémon franchise and the strong bond I’ve built with the game as well as the community. That bond is exactly what inspired me to build a website for new players looking into the PvP arena: M1dnight - National Dex OU. Why did you decide to work on this project? I still remember the first time I tried PvP, that thrill was just "different" compared to battling NPCs or wild Pokémon. It pushed me to research more about competitive play, which led me to the Smogon Forums. Smogon is where the pros go, and it’s an incredible resource but I’ll never forget how it felt the first time I visited. I was completely overwhelmed. There were so many categories, redirects, links and breadcrumbs,... on a single page that it took me nearly two months just to get used to the layout. Later, when I introduced my new friends to Smogon so they could learn more and improve their PvP skills as well as teambuilding, I saw the same thing happen to them. They were eager to learn, but the "wall of information" made them lose interest. Most of them just got bored or frustrated. I started wondering: What if I could build a website that offers the same depth as Smogon RMT, but with a simpler, more attractive interface for younger players and beginners? That’s the reason why I started this project. What is the website all about? The target users are players who are new to PvP and don't know where to start or how to build a team. The website not only just a list of teams, it’s a place to understand how they work. Why are these specific Pokémon chosen? What are their specialized roles and capabilities? How does the team handle threats in the meta? The site includes detailed analysis sections for each Pokémon, a breakdown of the team-building process, a list of major threats to watch out for, and proof of peak (showing that the team actually works). It’s all the professional depth you’d expect from Smogon, but delivered in a way that is much easier to digest. You Wasted Your Time Making This! I know what some of you might be thinking: "Why waste time building this when Smogon RMT already exists?" It’s a fair question. If my goal were to replace Smogon, it would be a waste of time. But that’s not the point. Think of Smogon as a university-level encyclopedia, it’s deep, legendary, and the ultimate source of truth. My site is more like a "Quick-Start Guide." I built this specifically to bridge the gap for players who find the encyclopedia intimidating. If this site helps even five new players feel confident enough to eventually use Smogon and join the competitive scene, then every hour I spent coding was worth it. This isn't a replacement, it’s a stepping stone. The Technical Side To make the site as fast and smooth as possible, I built it using a modern stack: Framework: Next.js 16 and React 19 for a seamless, "app-like" feel. Database & Auth: Supabase, which handles our team data and user sessions. Styling: Tailwind CSS 4 and Framer Motion for those smooth animations that make the site feel "alive" and attractive to younger players. Pros & Cons Pros: Beginner-Friendly Strategy: Instead of just data-dumping stats, the site focuses on "strategic storytelling"—explaining the why behind every team choice. Pro-Level Visuals: Full integration with Showdown sprites and PokeAPI ensures every Poké-card looks clean, professional, and familiar. Built for Speed: Using Next.js 16 means the site is incredibly fast and responsive, whether you're researching teams on your PC or checking a matchup on your phone. Community-First & Verified: Every team includes a "Proof of Peak" section, so you know the strategies have actually been tested and proven on the ladder. Dedicated to our Meta: Unlike broad platforms, this is built specifically with the PRO community in mind, focusing on the National Dex OU format we love. Cons: Unseen Bugs: As a solo developer, I’ve tested as much as I can, but there may be bugs I haven't encountered yet. I’ve included a Report and Feedback section in the footer. If you find any erros, glitches or even simple grammar mistakes, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'll be looking into every report to give you the best experience possible! Performance Scaling: The site currently pulls API data from Gen 1 all the way to Legends Z-A. While I’ve optimized it for now, I’m still monitoring how it will handle performance as the project scales up. Movepool Inaccuracies: Because our current API is based on Gen 9 SV movesets, some Pokémon might be missing moves that are legal in National Dex OU (like Alomomola's Toxic). If you notice a missing move that should be there, send me a ticket, and I will add it to the database! The Road Ahead This is just the beginning! I also have plans for improvements, including: Data Optimization: I plan to remove Uber-tier Pokémon from the main data pool to make the website's performance even smoother and more focused on the OU meta. Real-time Usage Data: If it is possible to connect with the PRO Development Team, I would like to work with them to pull real-time usage data. This would allow the site to automatically track which Pokémon are trending in the meta every month. Manual Tiering: If a direct connection isn't possible, I will manually configure a "Tier" section, sorting Pokémon so you can easily see who is currently at the top of the meta. User Profiles: I’m working on a function that lets you view your own profile (and others). You’ll be able to see post statistics, avatars, likes, comments, and joined dates to help build our community further. Instead, I want to take the high-level strategies they’ve perfected and make them more accessible for new PRO players. Unfortunately, this change will make the dungeon even harder Mainly for beginners (which is a pb imo) and teams run (3-4-5 people) and will probably discourage the few people who were already doing the dungeon, especially since the rewards weren't that great for a daily content to begin with (after getting hoopa and his unbound form which is a great reward ofc). for a 1 man run with 1 or 2 floors the impact is not the biggest problem (on clearing side but it is on the scoring one) for people who already know how the dungeon works but its very anoying and not on the good way especially if you're unlucky and don't have any Gravelers or Golems on your first floor but even these berry being only on these one is already anoying, which prevents you from getting Leppa Berries, since now a long time only these pokemons drop them. and treasure room can be very cool with you and offer you 2 full heal to be sure you dont have a way to restore PP before facing a Pressure dialga or/and palkia 4 times. I understand the infinite pp was probably way too strong but at the same time I think player should have at least full pp on the first learn because without HM a lot of pokemon become not viable anymore and Players criticism of the dungeon was already the lack of diversity in the usable Pokémon it was not completely true before but with this change this diversity has now been drastically reduced. I did a bit more testing on the dungeon since the update and yeah, like I said earlier, I can technically still reach around 2400 in solo runs like before the change. The difference now is that it’s way more room-dependent and RNG-dependent than before. Previously I could almost consistently reach that score, or something very close to it, regardless of the RNG or Rooms. My first run this patch was 2280, and that was while being completely slow and rusty since I hadn’t touched the dungeon for months. Even then the run itself just wasn’t enjoyable. It feels like the dungeon is becoming annoying for the sake of being annoying, and that’s coming from someone who knows the dungeon very well. I can’t even imagine how frustrating it must feel for newer players who don’t have that level of experience/Knowledge. A lot of the recent dungeon changes feel like they remove quality of life rather than fix actual problems. For example: Not being able to swap Pokémon during a Pokémon’s aggro travel. That wasn’t broken, it was simply QoL. Not being able to swap an item during the death animation at the end of a fight. Again, was not broken, just QoL. Relogging, which was actually broken and deserved to be nerfed. No issue with that one. Evolving a Pokémon making it lose HP because of base stat differences, which just feels unnecessarily annoying. Then you add the HM changes on top of that, and it just adds even more friction to a type of content that already struggles to keep players interested. There are already not many people actively investing time into dungeons, and these kinds of changes really don’t help with that. The Hoopa dungeon in team play is a good example. On paper it should be the best way to push for high scores (3k2+), but in practice these changes make it much more tedious and frustrating than it used to be. It limits team composition options and increases the importance of RNG when trying to get a good run. That’s the kind of thing that quickly demotivates players. Because of that, a lot of people end up running the content solo just to chase a high score which feels strange for an MMO, because now the team run is just so anoying and not enjoyable anymore. Ideally, the dungeon should encourage 5-player runs where everyone clears the 4 floors together and interacts with the mechanics. That’s still technically possible today, but RNG now plays such a big role that it removes a lot of the fun from it. The reality is that it was already difficult to find four other players motivated enough to run the Hoopa dungeon regularly. With the current changes, it’s becoming almost impossible to found people that want to invest time on this and that’s coming from someone in one of the most active dungeon guilds.3 points

With all the bugs that happened numerous of times within the span of a week. Its no surprise that something will go wrong whether its item/poke in possession gone missing/transformed or app not working while encountering rare form/pvp/boss battle I cant imagine how many more bugs in the old days. I just thought it mist be worse than what have been happening. Take screenshot guys. +1 Could also consider extending the unlock system further. I believe the last unlock is at 10,000 Discover Points for access to the Draconic Site. What I would further suggest to this idea would be to add higher tier unlocks (e.g., increments of 10,000 after unlocking Draconic) where you unlock another spawn tier for a particular site. Example below for demonstration of unlock increments. The Pokemon were meant to fit the theme of the site and not necessarily what I think should be the spawn added. Mainly focused on mons or fossils that I thought aligned.
