  1. I agree with this suggestion. I don't see how having a lum berry vendor would have any negative impact on the game. It would be very convenient.
  2. I guess its to maintain their stance on how they don't want you to see what poke they swap in before you can make a decision. So if you feint a poke in the handhelds you can choose to swap once you see what their poke is, but in PRO you have to wait until the swap the poke in before you can choose any counterplay, which is ridiculous imo. But it makes pvp more "Challenging". I guess the function of U-Turn or Volt Switch is nullified if you can't see what the opponents move is Exactly. U-turn and Volt Switch are 2 of the most important moves in PvP when working correctly. But when you have to choose your next pokemon before the opponent makes his move it removes the usefulness of the attack. "U-turn's ability to do competent damage [glow=red]and capitalize on switches[/glow] made it the defining move in what would later be the VoltTurn strategy" (Deck Knight).
  3. The difference is, when the move is working correctly, you are supposed to choose the pokemon you want to go out to after the opponent makes his move. In PvP this is crucial because you can adapt to what the player does if he switches out or stays in. In PRO you are not given the opportunity to adapt to a player's move. You are immediately forced to choose the pokemon you want to go out to before the player chooses what he wants to do. In PRO the order is = 1. Click U-turn 2. You choose your next pokemon 3. Opponent switches or attacks In Showdown the order is = 1. Click U-turn 2. Opponent switches or attacks 3. You choose your next pokemon Showdown's order is correct.
  4. The move is coded but does not work properly. When you click U-turn, Volt Switch, or Baton Pass on PRO it immediately forces you to choose the next pokemon you want to go out to. This isn't how it is supposed to work. When you click U-turn, Volt Switch, or Baton Pass you are supposed to attack first and choose the pokemon you want to go out to AFTER the opponent attacks or switches. I used Pokemon Showdown as an example of how these moves are supposed to work. Video Evidence: PRO (Notice how when I click Volt Switch it immediately forces me to choose the pokemon I want to go out to): https://youtu.be/aPj4yC62Zns Pokemon Showdown (Notice how when I click U-turn I am given the option to choose my next pokemon AFTER Landorus attacks the opponent with U-turn). https://youtu.be/viKFIwhotVU Thank you for your consideration. I can also provide video evidence of Baton Pass too if needed. Please let me know.
  5. Nothing wrong with Confuse Ray. What's wrong with confused status, rather than confuse ray is that it always lasts 4 turns, which makes it overpowered. You spend 1 turn and get 2 turns return in avg. The thing about confuse ray on this game is that there is no 50% change of hurting ourselves. The chance is in fact random.
  6. I think most people who are involved in PvP on or off of the game probably have some idea of what Team Preview is. But for those who don't know, Team Preview is when you are given the ability to see your opponent's Pokemon at the beginning of the battle. This gives you the option of choosing a lead Pokemon based on the opponents team. You can also predict their playstyle and movesets if you are knowledgeable enough in regards to PvP. This was introduced in Generation 5 Pokemon games and completely changed competitive Pokemon. I strongly believe that if this feature was a part of PRO, the competitive part of the game would also change for the better. Also, given the fact that the player with the advantageous match-up on the first turn has an edge for the entire battle, winning or losing is on many occasions determined by your lead Pokemon."You can get information from Team Preview that will be invaluable throughout the battle. You can figure out how to accomplish your goals and what roadblocks your opponent might have to those goals. You can figure out the best course of action to remove these roadblocks. Team Preview is one of if not the most important parts of a battle." (Jukain). I can go on and on about the positive things that come from Team Preview but here is what it looks like on the battle simulator, Pokemon Showdown: and here is what it looks like on Gen 5/6 handheld games: Let me know what you guys think. More information on the introduction of Team Preview can be found here: https://www.smogon.com/tiers/ou/advantage_team_preview
  7. When you first made this thread I was excited to see that PvP will undergo some balancing. Well I was just wondering if there could be a response to the many suggestions people provided regarding "broken Pokemon due to lack of essential items and abilities".
  8. Re: PRO Viability Rankings(PVP) Updated: 9/21/2016 <t>Thank you for the support guys. I have moved some pokemon around based off of what you guys are saying and I have also modified all of the lists to be in alphabetical order. Keep it coming. :)</t>
  9. No it will not affect your PvP rating. I have had this happen to me many times but when the server comes back up my rating is always the same as it was when the server went down. :)
  10. I don't think banning them should be a considerable option but I do think it would be nice if somehow we could take away the RNG factor when IVs and Natures are generated. I agree with Futz on this one. Some people caught Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi but because of their IVs and Nature they are pretty useless in PvP. But when other people are lucky and get near perfect IVs and a perfect nature it is pretty unfair if you ask me. The main goal in establishing a PvP metagame is to make it as balanced as possible. But the current way of getting these legendary pokemon goes completely against this.
  11. I agree with Burdy's input on Greninja. I would also remove Charizard from the team because of how bad it is There are better fire types out there such as Talonflame and Arcanine. It just has way too many switch-ins for it to be effective and also has a crippling weakness to stealth rock. I would put replace Charizard with Dragonite for now. Even though you don't have its hidden ability it can still sweep (replace Outrage with Dragon Claw). I would replace Greninja with Weavile. Your team is rather weak to a Ddance Dragonite carrying fire punch especially considering the fact that your Dragonite lacks Multiscale. So Weavile can help this issue and is a nice revenge killer to have on a team in general. A timid Magnezone with HP Fire also can cause some problems since your Ferrothorn and Scizor are both trapped by magnet pull. This can be fixed by replacing Ferrothorn with Metagross and putting enough speed EVs to outspeed it if Magnezone proves to be problematic down the road. If you do this I'd recommend putting Stealth rock on Metagross in place of Agility. Now onto your movesets. On Scizor I'd remove Night Slash and put X-Scissor instead. A +2 X-Scissor can 2hko Slowbro while Night Slash can not. It also hits Mew, Celebi, Venusaur, etc. a lot harder than Night Slash. On Dragonite I recommend you put Extreme speed in place of Thunder Punch or Fire Punch because that +2 priority will help revenge kill weakened opponents a lot easier (Thunder Punch preferably on your given team). On Gengar I recommend you put Taunt in place of Giga Drain so it can be an effective Stall Breaker when needed. Also, Thunder Wave on a Relaxed Ferrothorn is not recommended because that speed hindering nature prevents Ferrothorn from outspeeding some pokemon after the paralysis. I would recommend Knock Off or Power Whip over Thunder Wave. Your team already has a form of speed control in Blissey carrying the Thunder Wave so Ferrothorn having it is unnecessary if you ask me. Well this is all I have to add. If you have any questions as to why I said some of the things I said feel free to message me in game or here on the forums. Take care. TR3Y

  13. Is it fair for players to face an extremely broken pokemon ? The argument of rarity isn't one, you can't go hunt for a Uber poke and then complain because it is/will get banned. This is valid for all the tiers, expect LC and Uber (maybe other ones but those are the most used). And uber ban are voted by majority (60%+ not just 50%) Why even discuss if this stupid argument come everytime (don't misunderstood me, i'm not insulting you). Of course every poke can be countered (well expect mega rayquaza but even him can be (sometimes) killed), but that doesn't mean they aren't OP, Mewtwo can be countered, but everyone here will agree that mewtwo is stupidly OP and should never be allowed here, same goes for other pokemons like h.a gothi or h.a blaziken. This is so true :y: To start with Speed boost Blaziken, it can easily clean late-game with only one speed boost and sweep entire teams with swords dance + speed boost. It is ridiculously easy to grab a speed boost with Protect and setting up with SD is also trivial when facing overused pokemon such as Foretress, Scizor, Weavile, Ferrothorn or Tyranitar which are set-up fodder for Blaze. With a speed boost under its belt, even faster pokemon such as Jolteon, Starmie and Gengar are unable to check it and will be OHKO before even moving and considering that there is no Choice scarf in PRO atm, outspeeding a Blaziken is impossible. With that in mind, a +2 attack and +1 speed Blaziken is nearly unstoppable and can 6-0 a team with only one true counter which is Slowbro but it will need full health to check it. Let's do some calcs : +2 252+ Atk Black Belt Blaziken High Jump Kick vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Starmie: 302-356 (116.1 - 136.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO +2 252+ Atk Black Belt Blaziken High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 144+ Def Hippowdon: 369-435 (87.8 - 103.5%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock +2 252+ Atk Blaziken Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 462-546 (138.3 - 163.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO +2 252+ Atk Black Belt Blaziken High Jump Kick vs. 4 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 1398-1646 (217.7 - 256.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO +2 252+ Atk Black Belt Blaziken High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Milotic: 441-520 (112.2 - 132.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO +2 252+ Atk Black Belt Blaziken High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Donphan: 336-396 (87.5 - 103.1%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock +2 252+ Atk Blaziken Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Ferrothorn: 1092-1288 (310.2 - 365.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO +1 252+ Atk Black Belt Blaziken High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Gyarados: 239-282 (72.2 - 85.1%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock +2 252+ Atk Black Belt Blaziken High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 232+ Def Slowbro: 180-213 (45.6 - 54%) -- 96.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery I took the sturdiest walls in the metagame and they are all obliterated by Blaziken after one swords dance, except Slowbro, a feat that no other pokemon can boast. Offensive pokemon such as Gengar, Alakazam or Weavile are outspeeden after a single speed boost and have no chance to survive any hit from Blaze. The only thing you can do is to sacrifice a pokemon to bring on your revenge killer (Talonflame or Azumarill will be mandatory on any team to try to revenge Blaze) and to only force Blaze out, not to mention it can also Baton pass its boosts to a team mate. Imo, Blaziken clearly hinders team building by forcing any player to run specifics pokemons just to stand a chance against it. So imo, Blaziken with speed boost is unhealthy for the metagame and should be banned because it is too powerful. For Gothitelle, it is a bit different. Its stats are average and it is really slow. But it has no counter. Let me remind that a counter is a pokemon which is able to switch on the pokemon, stomach at least one attack on the switch-in and retaliate by killing it or forcing it out. For example, Weavile is not a counter to Garchomp since it cannot switch on its Earthquake or Outrage. It's only a revenge killer or, at best, a check to Chomp. Since shadow tag prevent you from switching, well... you cannot counter it and it demolishs stall teams by getting +6 with Calm mind and before ripping the team appart. Personnaly, i hate stalls team, i truly do. It annoys me to no end everytime i have an 1 hour battle full of roost/defog/heal beal/etc... so i should be happy that Goth can deter people from using stall. Of course, Goth is not that strong against offense/hyper-offense team. But objectively, a pokemon which is powerful enough to deny an entire playstyle (stall) should be suspected, just as smogon did. So as far as i'm concerned, Blaziken and Gothitelle are arguably the two most broken mons in the metagame atm. Of course, they can be defeated but Primal Kyogre also have counters (Quagsire) and it's still broken and OP for overused play, as Drayano says. The fact is the former requires tremendous preparation in teambuilding to stand a chance against it and the latter simply destroys a entire playstyle should be enough to consider a ban. I agree with everything you just said.
  14. The issue is that fighting types take neutral damage to stealth rock when they should take "not very effective" damage from them. My Breloom and Conkeldurr both take neutral damage from stealth rock which shouldn't happen. I was just about to report this error.

  16. I agree with not having the cloaks in the store because of what they signify. A lot of people with cloaks worked hard to get them and wear them with a sense of accomplishment. But if cloaks are able to be bought, they will lose the value and meaning they have today.
  17. They only apply to Player vs. Player battles in the Ranked PvP queue.

    PvP Leaderboards?

You can see the PvP leader board on the home page. https://pokemonrevolution.net/ladder.php
  19. Move/ Ability/ Item Name: Stealth Rock Explanation (Bugged): When sacrificing a pokemon in your party to stealth rock it shows the pokemon being sacrificed fainting twice. This makes it seem like you have more than 6 pokemon in your party and can be confusing. Description of Bug/ Not Code: How it should be: The game should only show the pokemon being sacrificed only once instead of twice. Evidence (video/ others): N/A (Can be easily tested by sacrificing a pokemon to stealth rock damage)
  20. You just have bad luck my friend.
  21. Are the confuse ray rates different on PRO than they are on showdown or ORAS? My pokemon hit themselves almost every time they attack while confused.
  22. Cool story..... *shakes head* So you only bothered to read and answer to that reply of mine, while my accidental doublepost is up there on this page with the real deal and truth? I really don't get it why people have this stick up their behinds about Shadow Tag and Regenerator... not before nor after trying my best to understand their side of the story. I also refused to believe that those complaining about either/both abilities are too inexperienced. lazy or dumb to find a working strategy/Pokemon team composition against them... but the opposite of that belief is being proven very much with this topic. :y:
