  1. This rant is about my disappointment is people retaining their right to cancel an auction if they do not like the final offer. I UNDERSTAND WHY YOU DO IT First off, I want to tell you I understand why you do it. And I understand it is rarely enforced. A smart auction starts low to get multiple people invested into bidding with the hopes to selling high. But you of course fear that if only one or two people bid you will end up selling your epic pokemon for half the value you expected to get for it. The comfort of knowing you can stop the auction saves you from the fear of doing it. You are thinking about yourself here, but you should be thinking about your buyer when trying to sell something. WHY IT IS HURTING YOUR AUCTION Now consider the buyer's point of view. The average auction lasts about 2 or 3 days. A pokemon worthy of an auction normally sells for 500k or more. This is not cheap and many times the buyer will have to invest their feelings into this. When a buyer sees that their offer may be rejected, the fear of being rejected may turn them way from investing their feelings into the auction. Remember, you are doing an auction in hopes of luring people in at a low price to get their feelings invested into the auction so they will outbid others. But by including a rule that puts their feelings at risk of being hurt, you drive away potential customers from starting or joining in on the auction. WHY YOUR AUCTION DOESNT GET BIDS UNTIL THE LAST HOURS If you've hosted an auction, you get two common responses. "Whats the insta?" and "When does the auction end?" Many times people will wait until the auction is close to ending to bid, because they know bidding early requires investing time and feelings. And when they see the rule that you could cancel the auction whenever will absolutely stop these specific individuals who are already timid to investing time and feelings from bidding. The less time their money sits in auction, the less time and feelings are invested. You want them to invest all their money and feelings into the auction, so you want them to bid early. If you state that people's bid will always hold up, you remove the fear of people getting their feelings hurt and time wasted. So the next time you consider adding this rule to your auction, understand that you are scaring off potential customers for your own comfort.

  2. Hello everyone and welcome to the World Quest and Mysterious Island Guide. This guide has information about the newly introduced World Quest and what you can do with the rewards that you get from being victorious. If you have any questions feel free to state them below. The World Quest is a server-wide event that gives the whole server a task that has to be completed within 24 hours from the time it was started. You can get more information by talking to the Mysterious Cultist located in any of the four port cities, being Vermilion City, Olivine City, Lilycove City or Canalave City. There is a guarenteed World Quest happening on every first day of the month. Keep in mind that this event can also be started manually, giving players more options of getting a Mysterious Ticket. What this item does will be explained below. The Mysterious Cultist will take one Pokemon out of a list with Tier 8 and Tier 9 Pokemon to hunt for every time the World Quest gets triggered. Each server has to hunt the Pokemon that is announced in a System Message and submit, together as a whole server, a total of 160.000 to 190.000 IVs every time the World Quest is active. Submitting a Pokemon to the Mysterious Cultist will count towards the total requirement and subtract it from the total amount. On a sidenote, every Pokemon that gets submitted gets deleted permamently, you will not be able to get it back after submitting it. Therefore, think twice before giving the Mysterious Cultist your precious Pokemon. In order to get a Mysterious Ticket, you have to submit 0.5% of the total amount of IVs that is required. As an example, if the server needs to hunt Solosis with 85653 IVs total, you need to submit at least 429 IVs to get a ticket. You also have the chance to get a second ticket in every event, which you will get by submitting 3% of the total amount of IVs that is required. With the same example of total IVs, you would need to hand in at least 2570 IVs. You do not have to count the IVs yourself. Simply talk to the Cult Accountant next to the Mysterious Cultist in Vermilion City if you want to check the amount of IVs you have submitted in the current event. If the whole server manages to submit the total amount of IVs that were asked for and you submitted at least 0.5% of that amount, you will receive a Mysterious Ticket upon interacting with the Mysterious Cultist once the World Quest is finished. The Mysterious Ticket is a ticket that allows you to access Birth Island by talking to the Mysterious Captain at the Vermilion City Harbor. You have the chance to encounter all of the Legendary Counterparts that you were not able to capture previously. Keep in mind that you have to capture at least one of the following Legendaries in order to be able to catch its counterparts on Birth Island: | | | Azelf, Mesprit, Uxie | Entei, Raikou, Suicune | Latias, Latios | Regice, Regirock, Registeel In order to balance out this awesome opportunity, you have about the same chance to encounter a Legendary as a Pseudo-Legendary, which will have its Hidden Ability. You can encounter one of the following Pseudo-Legendaries: Dragonite, Garchomp, Goodra, Hydreigon, Lucario, Metagross, Rotom, Salamence, Tyranitar, Volcarona, Zoroark These available Pokemon cannot be shiny on Birth Island! Once you enter the Birth Island, your Mysterious Ticket will be removed from the inventory and one of the Pokemon above will spawn. Until you capture the Pokemon that was spawned, run away from it or faint against it will remain on the same spot. Therefore, you can leave the island in order to get Synchronize Pokemon from the Pokemon Center or to buy Master Balls. You now are the owner of one of the previously mentioned Pokemon! Additional uses of the Mysterious Ticket: World Quests lasts for 24 hours from the point it was started Caught Pokemon that you want to submit to the Mysterious Cultist have to be OT (Original Trainer) You get a ticket for 0.5% of the total IVs, and two tickets for 3% of the total IVs If the quest is not completed, nobody will receive a Mysterious Ticket Pokemon that you submit to the Mysterious Cultist are forever lost You can only get every Legendary Pokemon once You can not submit an evolved form of the requested Pokemon Pokemon on Birth Island cannot be shiny Good luck on Birth Island!

  4. Hi there ! I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The server were down due to some technical difficulties. However, they are now back online and you should be able to log in the game normally. Also, please refrain from asking regarding server status here as it goes against the general support rules. An announcement on our OFFICIAL PRO DISCORD will be made once this issue has been resolved. You can check server status by doing ^up in #bot-commands in our Discord. As the issue has now been solved, i will now close the thread. Have a wonderful day!

  7. If you aren't willing to sell it for a certain price (that you, as the auctioneer can decide at will), that is fake selling. Rule 11 clearly reads: 11. Fake Offering/Selling/Bidding with no intention to buy/sell is prohibited. Auctions that are put up with an intention to see if they can start low to raise the price and get in a bid-off mean that the minimum offer they are posting is thereby fake. If they have no intention to sell for that price, that should be considered a fake and punished as such. Allowing people to cancel auctions because of "low offers" is a controlled situation in which the seller set a price that they were not actually happy with. The necessary channels exist for people to get an accurate valuation of their pokemon (Price checks exist in game, on the forum, and on multiple Discord servers). If they disagree with the valuations given, they should set their minimum as what they believe, rather than fishing for more money. It is dishonest and as bidders have commented above, ultimately hurts the auction and the people who are willing to participate.

  11. First you are not one of the guys who offered, so I cant understand your concern. Second, I have an insta price in my post, so your response here is totally pointless. Post can be closed.

  12. The rule is ridicolous. I suggest we all start doing what I'm already doing since lot of times: an auction has this rule? I don't bid. Even if I need that poke.

  13. I never understood why the auctioneer had the right to cancel their auction. I have never seen this rule in real life auctions. I could possibly be wrong, maybe that exists. But I would still be happy to not see this rule anymore during auctions. Maybe that one day...

  14. Pro meta is just sad tbh, if you don't play fat mons you're most likely to get swept by togekiss or rain teams, not to forget about conk which has the capability to tank a hit and retaliate back with drain punch; almost gets the entire hp back every time. Due to the presence of conk and other mons like toge which can flinch its check and counters to death, it becomes mandatory to play fat mons. Seen players proudly bragging about killing a heatran with toge flinches, lmao. This just forces you to play fat mons which are perfect for a manaphy sweep. You can't touch it, mana will setup on your face, and more sucks when its speed/hp invested with rest played in a rain team. Unprepared teams for sure gonna get obliterated. I don't see any pvpers who constantly stay at top of the ladder complaining about it. They know how broken it is and its always good to abuse broken mons :]

  15. I don't want to be disrespectful in any way but you don't seem to know what a "counter" is. Also, a regular Sassy Ferrothorn loses to Manaphy under rain if he doesn't have Power whip, can Rest freely, set up and spam Ice beam. +6 252 SpA Manaphy Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 232+ SpD Ferrothorn: 215-254 (61 - 72.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (this is sassy spedef invested Ferro Btw, i let you imaginate what a relaxed one takes). Same for the Unaware Clefable you mentionned, it loses if you don't run Calm Mind on it, which isn't a great move either for this kind of Clef. +6 252 SpA Manaphy Surf vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Unaware Clefable in Rain: 202-238 (51.2 - 60.4%) -- 91.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery The rest aren't even counters or checks (Tang AV is but gets knocked out in 2 turns if the opponent already Tail Glow'ed) and can't OKHO a manaphy so idk what you wanted to say here, you also imply that i need to sacrify one pokemon to be able to possibly revenge kill it, if the opponent dares to stay and let you kill it of course (while he can actually keep it and rest later in order to attempt to sweep again). I'm not saying there are litterally Zero counters to Manaphy, but being forced to play them in every team like Ferrothorn or HA Clef (with Specific sets btw), just for ONE pokemon is just unbalanced, and ruins teambuilding and the meta. If you follow Showdown competitive scene, you'll also note that Pokemons like Zygarde got suspect tested recently. Didn't Zygarde have counters ? Yes, it had (Tangrowth, Tapu Bulu, other grass types / Clefable as a counter/check, other fairy types as counter/checks / Landorus / Ice types with Scarf or Priority, etc ). Guess what ? It got banned with close to a 80% approval rate iirc. It's not only about "not having counters", but also about recognizing this Pokemon is too much of a threat for this PRO Meta, and does a huge job even against his "counters/checks", and if you dare to try playing without them, then you are open to a sweep of your team or having 2/3/4 mons killed by it. It simply makes the meta even worse and more boring than before, which is already an accomplishment, as it also reinforce Rain Teams' power and omnipresence.

  24. Hello there! I have taken notice that your account was merged incorrectly, you seemingly have chosen the Red Server as the account you wish to have merged to Silver Server, although all your progression was on the Blue Server, causing you to reset your story progression to the very beginning, was this intentional or no? If it wasn't, please have a look at the quote below stated in the Merge FAQ: As stated by the quote, I'm willing to offer you the ability unmerge your account and merge to the correct server, in this care for you it would be the Blue Server, if it happens to be the case that you mistakenly merged the incorrect server. However, if it was intentional to choose the incorrect server for the merge and just to start from the very beginning once more to replay through the regions, I can swap out your Johto Pokemon for the Kanto Pokemon in your PC. Please let me know on your decision!

  26. Hi @darkvitorbu I'm sorry for the inconvenience. It seems like you just lent your level 100 Dragonite to a player called LaMueerte. The Pokémon will come back once the lending will be finished. As the lending was made the same day you made the thread, does it mean that you have found it and therefore your issue is solved? Looking forward to your reply, have a wonderful day !
