    just use it in a pokemon that can learn it it steals the opponents held item, if youre trying to get a wild pokemon held item there is a big chance that the pokemon doesnt have it, so you have to kill like 10 to get their item

    Hey! All you need is a Pokemon that is capable of learning (Thief). Once you enter a wild battle just use move (Thief). Keep in mind that not every Pokemon have an item. Cheers!
