  1. Most of these ideas were either rejected, are being worked on, or are already being discussed. 1. Agree, story mode might need a rework. However, at this point of the game existance, it would be something REALLY hard to do. 2. Double battles have already been discused. Respecting the visuals, don't expect hyper animations and graphics from a free game, keep in mind mods work on this game on their free time, and work on in completely free. 3. Apricorns... I'm pretty sure they are in the low priority list, as there are more important things to worry about. 4. Agree, fishing mechanic needs a rework. 5. Terrains will probably be introduced when the Tapus are released. However, I don't know if they will be implemented in biomes. I think it would make story more interesting. Don't know if it would be new user friendly thougjh, lol. 6. A doubles region sounds interesting. Why not give the whole game the possibility to be played like this? But again, time and workforce is limited. 7. As you said, already discussed and highly needed. I think it is in the high priority list.
  2. Elite Four Hoenn Before Sidney Before Phoebe Before Glacia Before Drake Before Steven After E4 Hoenn completed. Given that you have to grind SIX mons to lvl 80 to go to Sinnoh, I'll give my final thoughts here. Hoenn is known for having a lot of exp. This might be the region that new players will probably have less trouble leveling up with the new system due to the enormous amount of exp there is. However, it's also fair to say that there are multiple maps that, as a newbie, you may not know that exist, and that provide plenty of exp, specially in the water routes. Wild pokémon grinding is completely useless, or takes HOURS to become significabt. I think a buff here in all regions would be a must. Something I have seen in common in all regions, is that in mid - late game the get way harder. I understand that the game has to get harder the mlre you advance, but a tremendous skip in powerlevel (or the abscence of it from our part, in most cases) isn't the solution. Maybe, as said before, incease wild pokémon levels? Or maybe buff the AI of gym leaders? Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure very few people are going to Sinnoh. That is an indicator of the flaw in the new exp system.
  3. Before and after 8th Hoenn Gym (Sootopolis)
  4. Before and after 7th Hoenn Gym (Mossdeep)
  5. Hoenn 6th Gym (Fortree), I didn't forget the ss now, hehe.
  6. 5th Hoenn Gym (Petalburg) before and after, almost forget the "before" screenshot again (I must set an alarm or something, lol) Swampert was lvl 54 though. Exp is really starting to be hard to grind, even considering Swampert is overleveled.
  7. 4th Hoenn Gym (Lavaridge) I killed two trainers, almost forget the "before" screenshot. Swampert was lvl 50 and a half though.
  8. 3rd Hoenn Gym (Mauville) before and after
  9. 2nd Hoenn gym (Dewford), before and after.
  10. After Hoenn 1st gym, forgot to take screenshot of before, but before gym, Marshstomp was a lvl 14 Mudkip. I evolved it at lvl 16 after the second gym trainer, and went from 16 to 17 with Roxanne.
  11. Now, Elite Four, Johto. Before Will Before Koga Before Bruno Before Karen Before Lance After beating E4 Johto This region I didn't use exp share other than to level up certain mons I needed (geodude for stealth rock, Butterfree for sleep powder). Similar to the last region, experience becomes way harder to get after mid Johto (yes, taking into account the fact that I only used Gyarados). Honestly, as someone who has done the story mutiple times, I can say it is easy for me if I play using all the ai abuse, and tricks I know, however, I still think that a new player will find it hard playing the regular way (even I struggled in Kanto playing as a "new player" with a whole team of six and such).
  12. 7th Gym Johto, forgot to take screenshot of before the gym, but there was no change, other than gyarados being lvl 65.
  13. Before and after Olivine Gym (6th, Johto) I didn't battle anything iirc between gym 5 and 6, so:
  14. Before and after Cianwood (5th Gym, Johto), I think xp gain is starting to slow down. (Yes, even considering my GYarados is overleveled.)
  15. Before and after 4th Johto Gym (Ecruteak). BCC looks cool, but I was kind of disappointed I couldn't enter. xD
  16. Johto Gym 2 (Bugsy) before and after.
  17. Johto 1st Gym, forgot to take pic before, but Totodile was lvl 12 before trainers, and Magikarp was 10 iirc.
  18. Before E4 Kanto Before Lorelei Before Bruno Before Agatha Before Lance Before Gary And finally, after beating Gary I tried to play like a newbie would, with a random multi-colored team until gym 6, where it got incredibly hard. XP gain after Fuschia got really hard, so I ended up using the traditional gyarados set - up mons. I strongly think the xp gain must be buffed in the mid - late game part, as I think new players will find it really hard.
  19. 8th Kanto Gym, Viridian (Giovanni) forgot to take a before screenshot, but there is absolitely no change in levels. Gyarados almost got to 58 by killing mewtwo though. Mewtwo took like 5% from a +1 crunch. xd
  20. Before, and after 7th gym (Blaine) grinding xp is way harder now. I felt the necessity to train a gyarados because of the fear of my team not being enough and making me waste too much money on revives and potions.
  21. Before and after 6th gym (Sabrina). By far the most challenging gym.
