  1. Hello everyone, today I would like to bring a (big) load of suggestions about the Graphical User Interface because I think some changes need to be done. your replies will always be appreciated :D Suggestions are sorted by situations and ordered by importance, here we go: [glow=red]</GLOW> BATTLE UI CHANGES: <i>[/glow]</i> [glow=red]Background panel poke's infos[/glow] Currently in battles, name, level, lifebar and XP-bar are displayed raw on background image, this giving trouble to daltonians who can't always see how much is their lifebar filled, this isn't very professional, and in the OG there is a background panel: [glow=red]Your poke's HP shown[/glow] In the Original Games, your poke's HP are shown just below the lifebar and it's good because it's quite annoying to go check on your poke's HP by the upper-left team pannel... [glow=red]lifebar color change[/glow] In the Original Games, lifebar goes orange when your poke has half-HP and red when it has 1/5-HP (or smth like that). I think is something good to keep, it makes sense and help us evaluate more precisely the damages delt. [glow=red]Damage display[/glow] This suggestion doesn't come from the original serie, but more from MMO themselves, let me explain :D We would have, either on the poke that is taking damages right now or in the battle messages panel, the amount of damages the attack dealt. I think this idea has very positive points: - This would help to compare, evaluate damages of a move depending on the poke that's using it and the poke that's taking it - This would raise the understanding of pokemon mechanics for newbies (damage reductions, boost's impact, sp. att. and att. stats ...) - This may help for bug tracking - I think a "-1376432 HP" displaying when you overkill some annoying zubat would be very satisfying :p [glow=red]Auto select pokemon choose window when your poke just got KO'ed[/glow] Well, the title says it all: when your poke is KO'ed (pvp or pve) the only option you have is choosing another poke, so the game shouldn't allow you to click on "attack" or "items" or "run", it should even auto select the poke choose window imo. [glow=red] POKEDEX UI CHANGES: <i>[/glow]</i> [glow=red]Evolution shown with conditions[/glow] This is the only thing I alt-tab for: to know how a pokemon evolves or what are his evolutions. It would be good to have this info in the pokedex, like that we won't need to look up on internet when we play anymore. [glow=red]More filters on pokedex[/glow] It could be nice to have region-filters on pokedex imo, by this I mean a check box for every region and if you check like the kanto's one you would only see 1st gen pokes, this is quite neat for love-island or legendary completion. [glow=red] PC UI CHANGES: <i>[/glow]</i> [glow=red]The same search as pokedex[/glow] We don't always know what's the exact spelling for a poke's name, so implementing the same search as pokedex (the one that's work with partial words) is necessary :3 [glow=red]Global sorting[/glow] I think the sorting features of the PC are really cool but they are not really usefull if they don't apply globaly (instead of box by box). [glow=red] GAME UI CHANGES: <i>[/glow]</i> <GLOW glow="red">[glow=red]Full keyboard control[/glow] This may be the most important suggestion about UI: the game is currently half keyboard-half mouse (or full mouse) playable and this is terrible. To make the game be (almost) full keyboard playable there's some menu's interaction that must be worked on: -> allow the player to config a key for "Yes" and a key for "Cancel" for evolution window and Surf-like window -> allow the use of Up key and Down key when selecting item in battles -> allow selecting pokes with 1 to 6 keys for the headbutt and dig window (like when you select a poke to be sent in battle) [glow=red]Visual feedback on the upper-left team panel[/glow] This really is a minor change but it's a basic UI work and it's on every interactive element in the game except this one: when something is interactive the user must know it, and this is done by small color or size change when the mouse hover the element. Now I think i'm done, maybe some other suggestion will be added by the time :D Again, your responses are very important so i'll be very happy if you take a little bit of your time by leaving a reaction or another suggestion bellow <3 Thanks all of you for helping PRO being better :p
  2. Yeah this is a nice idea, even if there is more important changes to be worked on talking about UI your idea is imo easy to implement, so +1
  3. I support this
  4. So any staff member watched the video ?
  5. Yes, well at least it works with wilds poke, haven't tested this in pvp yet. doesnt happen in pvp Well, then i guess it's ok
  6. That's like the 3rd time I repeat that, but it's ok (one day I'll make a thread about it D:) : Rules for EV yields: - The amount of EV yielded is equal to the evolution stage of the poke (starting at 1: squirtle 1 EV, wartortle 2 EV, blastoise 3 EV) - If the poke you KO'ed has 1 highest stat in base stat (you can check ingame with pokedex): it will yield this stat in EV - If the poke has 2 or more equal highest stats: if EV amount = number of equal highest stats -> it gives 1 EV for each equal highest stat if not -> there's priority in stats yielded, I don't know it by heart but I know for exemple that PV comes before Att. exemple: if there's a 3rd evolution pokemon with PV = Att and both are the highest stat (in base stat), the poke will yield 2 PV EV and 1 Att EV if there's a 1st evolution pokemon with PV = Att and both are the highest stat, the poke will give you 1 PV (it's the case for grimmer).
  7. Not sure i understood well, did you mean that the poke heals 1/3 of his life after taking a hit without having to switch out/in ?? Yes, well at least it works with wilds poke, haven't tested this in pvp yet.
  8. The "bannable ability because bugged" section is missing the regenerator ability ! When you switch out a regenerator poke, and you finish the fight without re-switching it in, the poke somehow keeps the "regenerator" charge and use it when it get hit in the next fight ! That means that it first take the damage, then regenerate 1/3 of his life (i tried it) It's really OP if used in PVP.
  9. Thank you for making a video, and don't worry I won't lock the thread :') Finally, here it is (took me way longer than I expected D:) I hope my bad english and strong accent won't annoy you :x (I made english subtitles because what I say is not always understandable ^.^')
  10. You should post a screenshot of your poke instead of writing manually all his stats, it would be easier for us to help you :x
  11. Actually oppening the pvp ladder to anyone could be a viable strategy. The actual ladder would remain unchanged, but it would be at the top of the new global ladder (because a full lvl 100 team has greater chances to win against a lower lvl team) And this will let the non-lvl 100 team try pvp and discover maybe (for newbies) what does the strategy pokemon world look like. I think a feature that goes allong with this idea is a start in the ladder that depends on the lvl of your team: when you launch your first pvp queue the system pre-rank you depending on the lvl of your team and on the lvl repartition in the ladder...
  12. You're underlining a problem here, but you're not suggesting the right solution (if I may) Indeed, instead of not repecting the game by adding some tutors for pre-evolution moves (that are not in the nintendo games) I think a better solution would be to be able to see the movepoll of the pokemon you're buying when you click on it, the same way you see your pokemon's movepoll when you click on it (and same goes for EV, that also shouldn't be hidden for other players) This has already been suggested in the past, but seems like no admin rejected/approved this idea, so it has his chances...
  13. Hi it's me again, I just recorded the video and the bug was still here (+ I discovered another bug while recording :o), I'm starting the edit right now, see you very soon :p
  14. Actually, spore is better, because sleep is the only x2 bonus multiplicator (of catch rate) with freeze, other status effect are 1.5
  15. EV gain is actually very easy to find by yourself ingame ! Rule for EV earned depending on the poke you killed: - the amount of EV correspond to the evolution tier (squirtle 1 EV, wartortle 2 EV, blastoise 3 EV) - the highest stat (from base stat) of the poke is the EV stat it will gives - for pokes where there's highest equal stats in EV, you'll get 1 EV in each highest equal stats - if this is not possible (2 highest stats equal but 1 EV to give) there's a priority order, i don't know it entirely but i know PV comes before everything. (exemple: grimer has 80 Att and HP he gives 1 EV in HP) You can check the base stat in the pokedex, the evolution tier is just knowledge but making a mistake on it is ok because it's just about the amount of EV you earn. I hope this helps :)
  16. Re: ≥« EV Training Hotspots »≤ UPDATED [8/7/16] <t>For Att and Speed you forgot to mention road 12 -> Only common pokes are pidgey and belsprout in Morning and Day<br/> In rare pokes there's Weepinbell and pidgeot.</t>
  17. Don't worry, programmation is more complex than that, what your describing could be a bug, but doing a pop up that shows only for shinies should be possible (if the game is well built...).
  18. Re: ≥« EV Training Hotspots »≤ UPDATED [8/7/16] <r><QUOTE author="Somes"><s> </e></QUOTE> RUnis is the best lol Quag and woop m/d/n<e> </e></QUOTE> Yeah someone told me that ingame too, the thing is that the pokedex doesn't say so :o<br/> It says quag and wooper only night, that must be an error from the staff.</r>

  20. Re: ≥« EV Training Hotspots »≤ UPDATED [8/7/16] <t>In the EV training HP section you forgot the Union Cave 1F (Johto) !!<br/> If you surf you ONLY have Quagsire and Wooper, this is the best HP EV training spot in the game.<br/> Wooper is M/D/N and Quagsire is N.</t>
  21. well, training it to lvl 100 will raise the price but selling him as it is saves you time, the choice is up to you. I can't help for the price check however if you sell it now I think you should reset his EV.
  22. You're both right, I think the best could be to allow the player assigning a key for "yes" and "no", like that it would be different from the space bar assigned for interactions.
  23. I am actually not at home with my personnal computer so I can't provide a video now. But as soon as I come back home (the 21th of august) I'll make a detailled a video of this bug if it is still here (because new versions are out and I haven't tried to reproduce the bug since my first post so maybe it is fixed now). Thanks for your reply, and please don't lock the thread before I make a video of this :)
  24. I'm glad seeing that you guys also saw this issue, i hope a staff member will look up at this thread soon !
  25. herm, i'm actually in pokemon league hoenn and the only npc here is Cenius (appart from nurse joy and the shop granny) and he doens't teach ice punch :/ edit: my bad, the ice punch move tutor was too sneaky for me, but he's here indeed x)
