  1. SUMMARY I. Introduction II. How did i find and test this formula? III. Money formula IV. Money by level V. Raw data VI. References I. Introduction Hello PRO Community, Since i started PRO, i notice it's possible to make a lot of money by killing wild PKM, but until now i didn't search what was the exact formula for money. After all, players don't really know if the money earned depends of the level of PKM, the areas, the evolved PKM, the IVs of the PKM, or any others you can imagine. So, i decided to look for it, to know what is the exact formula. Why? Because with the formula, we can make better decisions; know where to farm money, how much money we gain by killing PKM, know if there are some tricks, etc. For real, after killing 1k PKM in different areas, i just look the data and it took me 3 minutes to imagine what was the possible formula, the rest of my time was used to test this theoretical formula. So, i think, just nobody before me tried to find it xD In the begin of this guide, i will explain my theoretical formula, how i found it, and how i tested it. With that, you can criticize this theoretical formula, all the raw data are in the end of this post. If you don't care about it, just pass to the next part. (i tried to make easy and fast, so you can read it without knowledge in math, all is basic) Warning: All you will read in that guide is just a theoretical formula, nothing official. Maybe, i didn't find all we have to know about it. You will see there is a random part in that formula, i have no idea how this random part is generated; maybe it depends of the IVs of the PKM, but in that case i can't test it, since i need to kill the PKM to see the money and i need to catch the PKM to see the IVs xD This theoretical formula works very well with the data i found, maybe InGame it's not the exact same formula, or the formula is not the same at all but acts exactly the same. II. How did i find and test this formula? My first idea was the money earned depends of the PKM level, but not sure about it, i have to also try if it depends of the area or not. A good area to check money earned is Cerulean Cave, the levels of the PKM are pretty huge, so the number will be less impacted by a rounded part in the formula. Let's look what i find there : In this data, we see the type of farming seems to not affect the money: Land and Surf give exactly the same range of amount for money. The type of PKM seems to not affect this range too, i got some Golbat with 6 pokedollars, some Golbat with 600, some Psyduck with 6, some Psyduck with 600, etc. It's a good point, make easier to find the formula. We see the range is not exactly the same depending of the level of the PKM, the max pokedollars with lv 60 is 600, max with 61 is 610, max with 62 is 620 and max with 63 is 630 (but the minimum is exactly the same: 6). So the money seems very correlated with the level. Until now, i don't know if it's linked to the area or not. You might notice something very weird: in Cerulean Cave 1F, on the Bot Reborn we can see the level range is 60-64, but i got 0 PKM lv 64. It's normal, as i explained in that topic: https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/109273-url , the last level in a level range never spawn. Edit : The bug of last level have been corrected since. I admit here, the correlation with the level is not very impressive, so just to see it, here are my data in Resort Area : Come back to Cerulean Cave, all my data are even number, it's normal, i didn't say it before but i farmed with MS, the MS bonus on money is +100% making double all the amount i find. But something on Cerulean Cave give me a very good clue for the formula. Let's look the amount of money i found for level 60 (Land and Surf): All this numbers are multiples of 6; the minimum is 6 and the max is 600, and all multiples of 6 are in that range. And from 6 to 600, there are a total of 100 multiples of 6. So i imagined first this formula: Because 6 is 60 divided by 10, so in the formula i have to divide 60 by 10. But there is the MS part making double money, without MS, it would be between 3 to 300, or 60 / 3 = 20. So it's lvl / 20 * 2 (for ms). And the random number between 1 to 100 to have the 100 different values. This formula works well for lv 60-61-62-63 if i round the final result. But, until now, i didn't test in others areas, and didn't check with others level. I know in advance, my formula is not over at all, but i feel it's a good start. Let's check in Dragons Shrine, the level range is exactly the same, just for checking if the money range is the same : I find exactly the same number than Cerulean Cave, it seems to not be linked to the area (still not sure), but my formula here seems to works. But i need to test with others level. As i was lazy to move a lot, i started to collect data in Dragons Den: As i expected, seems again correlated to level, good point, and the area seems to not affect the money. But let's try the formula with just one PKM: I took the minimum value, so i can say "r" should be 1 in the formula. Money earned= r * lvl / 20 * ms Money earned= 1 * 51 / 20 * 2 Money earned= 5,1 Even with a round down, i should expect to find 5 pokedollars, but i found 4. It means there is a round down before the MS. Money earned= ⌊ r * lvl / 20 ⌋ * ms Money earned= ⌊ 1 * 51 / 20 ⌋ * 2 Money earned= ⌊ 2,55 ⌋ * 2 Money earned= 2 * 2 Money earned= 4 It's a good start this round down, but nothing sure about it. So i looked with all the data i got in this area (and the previous area), and it seems to work. I had a very good feeling about it at this point. So let's go for this formula: And look what would be the amount of money for all r and all level: Yes i know, it burns eyes. But something funny appears. We notice for some level, the distribution of each amount of money is not exactly the same if this formula is correct. And specially with low level like 1-2-3, we can even test in practice this distribution : It means, for example, for level 1, the amount of money i will find will be 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10; the amount 10 will appear way less than the others amounts. Sadly, there is no area to farm easily some PKM lv 1. But, i found a nice area: Route 101 with only PKM lv 2 and 3. If there is a difference in the distribution, i should find it. Let's see my data : As expected by my formula, the distribution is not an equal-distribution for all amount of money, for lv 2 the amount 20 appears less than others, same for lv 3 and the amount 30. My sample seems low, but it's enough to notice it's not an equal-distribution. At this point, i am pretty confident on my formula, if it's able to predict this distribution of amounts and the amounts, it seems pretty correct. I did just an other test for my own fun, for lv 19, it's possible to find 0 pokedollar. For this, i went to Ice Path B1F, with only PKM lv 18 and 19. After 152 PKM lv 18-19 killed, i finally found it: Nice, as i expected a lv 19 giving 0 pokedollar. I was happy to find it :3 But it's not enough yet, my data don't take all possible level, and for distribution of level i don't have a lot of data to check. I started looking for an area with high level PKM, and i discovered Resort Area: An area with PKM lv 1 to lv 100 :o In fact, like i said before, the last level in a level range seems to never spawn, so i will not find PKM lv 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100. But it's still a very good area to test my formula. As i posted before, here are my results: We see very well here the link between money and level. A good test for my theoretical formula is : the formula is supposed to predict some specifics amounts of money i am supposed to earn. If i find just ONE amount different from what my formula predict, it means my formula is not correct. So let's see: Yes i like burning eyes :3 On 5000 magikarp killed, all the amounts of money i found are all in the list of amounts i am supposed to find with the formula. Just one would be enough to say the formula is not correct! So, i know my formula is able to predict the min value, the max value and all the values inside. Now, i will look how to check if it's able to predict the distribution. A good way is look the average money i am supposed to find. Since i have a theoretical distribution of level, i am able to calculate an theoretical average by level, and in the end a global average: With this theoretical global average, i am supposed to find in average 251,62 pokedollars per PKM in this area. Let's look what i really found: Hum... 251 to 221, it's a huge gap. I missed something. And this thing is this "bug" : https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/110291-url To resume : the distribution of level is not an equal-distribution, the lower level spawn more than the others. So, my global average can't be correct if i don't take into account the distribution of level. I don't have the exact percentage for the distribution. So, i decided to use the number of PKM by level i got to calculate my global average : With this global weighted average theoretical, i am supposed to find 220,09 pokedollars per PKM. In my data, i find 221,03; very close :) It means my formula is able to predict the average money, so the distribution of amounts of money. Let's check in others data the average too, i will use only Cerulean Cave and Dragons Shrine, because it's there i got the most data. And also, because both areas are lv 60-63 so i can add the data to each others because the area doesn't matter (i deleted the Kadabra, because it's not the same level and i don't have a lot of data). So, i am supposed to find 309,27 pokedollars per PKM; and i find in practice 309,07. In final, i pretty confident about this formula, be able to predict all the amounts possible, the distribution of this amounts, the average money in areas, the average money by level, the min value, the max value. I think i got the right formula. But, like i said in the introduction, i don't know how the random number is generated, and i don't know if it's coded like this formula. In practice, whatever the real formula or how it's coded, my theoretical formula acts exactly the same. III. Money formula IV. Money by level With MS Without MS If you want to use this average, don't forget: the distribution for level is not an equal-distribution, so the best area for farming can not be the one you expect ;) And the last level in a level range seems to never spawn. V. Raw data Cerulean Cave 1F Land Cerulean Cave 1F Surf Dragons Den Surf Route 101 Land (no Poochyena, i used my Alakazam Sync to kill the PKM with only the move Psychic, so i wasn't able to kill the Poochyena) Ice Path B1F Land Resort Area Fish VI. 2. Hello everyone ! This is a guide that will show you how to reach Route 224 step by step. It may seem hard to reach, but i can guarantee you that by following this guide, it will be really easy. Hope you will enjoy it ! Be Sinnoh Champion Route 224 is a Sinnoh route located at the east end of Sinnoh Victory Road, through B1F Deep. To be able to access Sinnoh Victory Road B1F Deep, a player must be first Sinnoh Champion. In that way, the NPC Miner Justin will open the way that will lead to Sinnoh Victory Road B1F Deep and that will lead then to the Route 224 Route 224 does not currently lead anywhere, however trainers will be able to hunt rare pokemon like Hawlucha or Bunnelby, which are not available in many other maps To reach Sinnoh Victory road, which will then lead to Route 224, we have to start from Sunyshore City. So, lets just move there. From Sunyshore City, head to north until you find a surfable zone; use surf and keep going north. Once you have reached Route 223, keep surfing northwards until you find a Waterfall; climb it and enter in the Sinnoh Victory Road [spoiler=Step 1] Once you entered the cave, you have to find the way that will bring you to the entrance of the Sinnoh Victory Road B1F Deep It may look hard, but don't worry, just follow the path drawn on the map [spoiler=Step 2] When you have found the way, you will find yourself in the Sinnoh Victory Road Deep Entrance. Take the only entrance available to the right part of the map and you will be teleported to the Victory Road B1F Deep. Now, this may look a really tricky map, but it is instead really easy. As before, follow the path drawn on the map linked below [spoiler=Step 3] When you have reached the exit of Victory Road B1F Deep, take the teleport and you will found yourself in Sinnoh Victory Road B1F Deep Exit Once you are there, take the only exit available to the right part of the map and you will find yourself in Route 224 [spoiler=Step 4] ________________________________________________________________ Hope you enjoyed it !

  3. PVP Council Hi, I’m NJNP. I’m mostly known for my team building and high level tournament play on smogon. I’ve dipped into the competitive scene here in the past and I’ve fully immersed myself into pro after some push to come back. That is the goal of this post: to improve the pvp scene of pro. On smogon, most decisions especially competitive ones are made by a group of people. That group is called a council. That group generally is of some of the best players in their competitive format and has good knowledge on the meta-game. They proceed to make sure the metagame is in proper order and deal with problematic elements of the metagame as they appear. The council is generally known for holding suspects. The council is to see if these Pokémon are guilty of being killers of the meta or are they innocent and perfectly fine for the meta. The decision to what should be suspected is single handily up to the council but heavily influenced by the community. The council doesn’t suspect something that does not have community interest or concern. Generally before something is decided to be suspected, the council asks the community their opinions before they move forward with a decision. I feel a council would be great for pro pvp as megas are coming and legendaries are becoming more accessible. The council will aid the community in making decisions for the betterment of pvp. I’d want the council also to aid in creating an official viability rankings for pvp. I’m not sure exactly why one hasn’t been commissioned in the past but I think it would make sense for players regarded as the best at pvp to be able to help others understand what is good in the meta-game. I have 2 council concepts that can be decided or at least give an idea on the set up. Concept #1: 2 CO Leaders 1 From Silver 1 From Gold 3 Council Members 5 Members In Total Concept #2: 1 Leader Representing Both Servers 4 Council Members 5 Members In Total I’d like to hear people’s opinions on bringing a council to pro pvp and if anyone has any questions feel free to post them below and I’ll answer them.

  7. This auction is invalid and from now cancelled. The eevee will be sold to the user who met the insta price as it was set in buyers-sellers Pm's. The insta price set in Pm's was 7m and the rightful owner is Shadowkarina. Several Rules are violated here and further action will be taken. 4. When a deal has been agreed upon, by both parties, you can not go back on it. A deal is done once both price and location of the trade are agreed upon, or an insta price is met 13. Regarding insta/fixed prices for Pokémon/Items on the trade forums, the user who bids the insta first will be the winner. Any bids made after this point for the same mon will be voided, and the seller must respect the sale to the first player who met the insta price. 14. If a Pokemon was sold unfairly to any user other than the original winner it will be forcefully moved to the rightful owner of the auction, whatsoever. -Locked-

  10. Ok, i can unterstand staff want a clean event without bug/glitch but so much player will lost interest about this event (me in first, im waiting and think will happens like in 2016) Staff started so late event map/script i think, except if event need a new client i dont know about this. You dont give any informations about where is the event, why he is late, you just said "No ETA here" We want to be reconforted and know what happens. So have a nice day and cya. 11. Hey CobraMK, the reason why the Halloween event has not started yet is simple: It is not fully finished yet. I know I announced nothing new with that but thats it. Indeed, we don't want to run a incomplete event and therefore it will only be released when it really is finished. Why we don't give any information? Well, we said there will be a event but not more. The reason for that is, we can't really tell you how much more time it needs. We don't want to tease you with 'No ETA' messages but any other information regarding the progress of the event would be absolutely inaccurate and most probably a lie. Thats why ' No ETA'. Many people of the staff team are working on the event but keep in mind that this is a voluntary job and staff member also have a real life with the same problems everyone has. Means, sometimes there is much stuff done in a short time, sometimes not. Anyway, just because the event is late compared to the last year, it does not mean it has a shorter duration or will be canceled. So as small conclusion: The event is still not finished yet and we cant really tell you when it is but it will come. Please stay patient in meanwhile and stay tuned. :) With this statement, I will lock this topic now. When the event is out, we will let you know by an announcement in our Announcement section and in our PRO Discord server. Kind regards Xylos

  12. Ok, i can unterstand DEV team are small but not only dev works, mapper/scripter and Artist work. We are patient but every year event happens the 18th of October month but this year, its 1 weeks late, that will late event for me (i only play weekend and if 2nd partie got release after school start, i will not get some time to farm more.)

  16. I don’t agree with this post, it’s just 1 guy rising these questions. Some are fair, some just ignore the outlined text already given. Drama is a common thing, there is drama with some decisions staff makes, drama in inner groups, drama throughout the world. There certainly is currently no drama here in this post, just a discussion. Favoritism,Corruption,Conflicts of Interest, is all avoided by including public opinion and has never been an issue with smogon ou in recent years (which would be the closest example to this council). The main reason is because of public opinion coinciding with well informed opinion to make the best decision for the entirety of the tier. Now, ofc you are not going to please everyone. Some decisions that have been made on smogon weren’t well received, some decisions here weren’t well received. That is naturally gonna happen because we all have our own opinions. How some can view the creation of the council as a bunch of elitists but want the staff which no offense has not the best pvp/doesn’t touch pvp players to make competitive decisions is weird. Why not have those same concerns? It seems most do, that is why this post is favored by pvp players as they see the need to have a body that will fully understand what needs to be done for the foreseeable future in competitive play for pro. The goals of many for the council is to avoid things like genesect running around because no one takes the time to make a post. Shut down dugtrio earlier just because some haven’t lost to it yet, so they think it’s not a broken mon. Suspect a mon like greninja who was clearly broken in a more developed format in smogon, that is causing chaos in this format right now.

  17. While I support the idea of a council in principle, it is important to realize that it is much easier to criticize someone else's decisions than to make the correct one on your own. Although a player council may have better overall skill than staff, it is far from given that they would always make the right decisions. Whenever the question of whether or not something should be banned has been put to forums, there has always been a lot of parroting Smogon and very little legitimate discussion. We see nonsensical reasonings from even Top 25 players, and a prevailing opinion that stall is the root of all evil. Furthermore, players all have their own biases. Combined with the relatively less formal setting of PRO PvP compared to Smogon, this could quickly result in controversy and chaos. (See the first attempt at banning Shadow Tag from the Ubers tier) This, to me, indicates that a council with final authority to ban (such as Gen VI UU Council) would be a terrible idea. However, as stated previously, PRO's "suspect tests" leave a lot to be desired. Thus, a council possessing only the ability to slate problematic factors for suspect tests would be no different from staff putting them up to vote and be subject to the same weaknesses (mob mentality, Blissey probably being banned within the week for no good reason, etc.) The council should therefore also be able to set the requirements for suspect tests. These tests should require an overwhelming supermajority (75%?) to overturn the status quo, to prevent abuse. Finally, the more power the council has, the more drama will inevitably ensue about someone's favorite Pokemon being banned / escaping the banhammer. edit: I wonder how many of the supporters just want to be on the council :^)

  18. i think this is a very good idea as many most staffs are very inexperienced when it comes to pvp , so electing a council that can make decisions for the public regarding pvp will be very effective and will also help balance the game out more

  19. +1 Like Smooge said, PRO's metagame is not the same as Smogon's due to the limitations we have when it comes to capturing legendary and Gen 7 Pokemon. In order to maintain a balanced metagame, this needs to happen because of new things being consistently added into the game: Megas, Legendary Pokemon, etc. Smogon is the best competitive Pokemon community out there and their system works well with a PvP council guiding them so I don't see a reason not to try it here. Making PRO better in every aspect should be the focus and a PvP council would be a great addition to make sure this happens. I'm all for both concepts provided above.

  20. I would assume that the people assigned to this counsel would have vast knowledge in the pvp aspect of the game so therefore I don't think antyhting they would do would tech hurt the game. End game for Pokémon is either like I said in prev posts battle frontier/ filling the dex/ pvp now the pvp area, a lot of people have invest so much time into this game and want a well working pvp system and being like I said before pvp is finally getting the attention it needs I think it's time that we come together and clean up pvp. Having to make post after post after post and waiting several weeks thengetting a pole to possibly agree or disagree to get one Pokémon or ability banned is a bit of an annoyance. So this imo would clean everything up an make pvp how we want it *most people in pro at least* like we had to make a post to get genesect banned and gren is still in ranked and that's saying something. Unless someone steps up and takes full control of pvp and does what's right the this is the other option * you have people with far better pvp knowlage outside of staff fyi*

  21. This council have to access to ingame PVP datas to see the most used PKM, the PKM with the most win, etc. It would help a lot for decision making. I think Walross is creating a website to make this datas public, but not sure about it.

  22. +1. We wouldn't want someone who can't code to be a developer just as we don't want someone who's completely new to competetive to be in charge of pvp here. Show us the way

  23. This was an idea in the past that never got totally brought to light, but now that pvp is getting some real attention it may be reasonable to go forward with this. ESP with Megas possibly coming to light and mons like greninja roaming free in ranked. It just needs some support so I 100% like and promote this post

  24. Yeah I agree.Don't see any downside and it could bring only good things to the game, especially the pvp side in my opinion.Take my +1

  25. Individual Values (IVs for short and the RED numbers on your pokemons stats) are key to determining your Pokémon's stats. IVs are randomly assigned when you encounter any wild Pokémon. You cannot change a Pokémon's IVs once caught and there is no way to know the exact IVs in-game. IVs consist of six numbers corresponding to HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed. Each range from 1-31 and the higher the number, the better your Pokémon's stat will be. Certain pokemon require certain stats, which means you can be more lenient with having lower IVs on certain stats! Here's an example, my friend Machamp So if we look at his Pokedex entry and hover over the little spider web looking thing like this: We can see that Machamp's highest base powers are in Attack (130) and HP (90). So we're looking for a Machop/Machoke/Machamp with IV's that are all above 15 or 20 but highest in Attack and HP Something like this!: So from this picture we can see that the machamp has 26 Attack and 23 HP, which is above 20 so it's acceptable! However you want to try to aim for 31 or as close as possible! :D Now you know all about IV's! Congratulations :3 So as Pokémon battle, in addition to gaining experience points they also obtain Effort Values (usually referred to as EVs), which are special hidden values in each stat (HP, Attack and so on). Each Pokémon you battle against gives off EVs in one or more stats. Generally, this relates to the Pokémon's strongest stat - for example that Machamp I showed you previously! We know Machamp needs high Attack and HP for his IV's and we'd apply the same with EV's for him too :D However EV's can go all the way up to a maximum of 252 per stat and the max total EVs a pokemon can have is 510! Which means you can have 2 stats at 252 with 6 EVs left over or you can spread them out ^^ Let's use our friend Machamp again: Now on this Machamp, I have EV'd Attack and mainly HP, I added a little bit of speed just to surprise people , just personal preference! :y: Every 4 EVs obtained in a particular stat equals one more point for that stat, by the time that Pokémon reaches level 100. At low levels you may not see all the points added straight away. If your Pokémon is at a high level you will see a lot of additional points going on to the appropriate stats at each level up. Now I know what you're asking! "But Tommyola2, how do I know what EVs certain pokemon give? D: " Well I got you on that buddy :D Here's a Fantastic website that'll help a lot! Rather than just being a personality, Natures actually affect the growth of a Pokémon. Each nature increases one of its stats by 10% and decreases one by 10% (by the time it reaches level 100). Five natures increase and decrease the same stat and therefore have no effect. In most cases it is preferable to have a nature that decreases either Attack or Special Attack for Pokémon whose strengths are the opposite type of attack. Machamp, for example, favors Physical moves, so it's best to use a nature that decreases its Special Attack since it won't be used. Here's a list of natures and how the affect a Pokémon. :) So now we all know the natures and what they do, we can then figure out which Pokémon needs which Nature. We'll use Machamp like the previous examples. So we look at the nature, this Machamp is Lonely but don't feel sorry for it! :P Looking back to our list of Natures, you'll see that Lonely means Machamp gets -Defense but +Attack! This is shown on the pokemon by the Red and Green stat names :] If you've been with me all the way so far, you'll know that because Machamp is lvl 100, his Nature will increase his Attack by 10% and Decrease his Defense by 10%! However Did you know that if Machamp as Adamant (-Special Attack, +Attack), he would be a lot better, because he's always going to be taking either Physical or Special Damage in battle, but he'll only be dealing Physical. Meaning Lonely will make him easier for other Physical Pokémon to hill him, which isn't something we want! So if Machamp was Adamant, he'd still have the same amount of Attack power but his Defense would be 10% better than it is now! Purely because he wouldn't be getting the -10% from lonely. Now, this will be different for every individual Pokémon. So remember, as I taught you before, check your Pokédex to see what your pokemons highest stats are, and then consider the Nature you need for it. Fantastic Tip! If you catch a Pokémon with the ability 'Synchronize' and you put it as your lead Pokémon, all Wild Pokémon will have a 50% chance of being the same Nature as the Synchronize ability Pokémon. This is a fantastic tool for hunting Pokémon because it lets you get the nature you want, 50% of the time! and I know, you're asking yourself "Okay that's great, but what Pokémon can have the ability Synchronize??" Don't worry about it, I'm here to help! Most players use Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, Natu and Xatu for Synchronize because they're fairly common and easy to farm for the correct nature and Synchronize ability that you need. However there are more Pokémon that have Synchronize and if you want to find out who else has it -----> This link will help a lot! <----

  28. Hello dear players and PvPers! With the new agenda to make PvP scene more interesting and PvP coins more useful, I would like to announce that IV Re-roll for legendary Pokemon is now available via PvP Coins as discussed in that thread. You get to re-roll all 6 IVs at once for same pricing. Please note that the chances of getting desired IV range are very low given that all 6 IVs will be randomized at the same time. The re-roller NPC can be found in Vermilion and will be there temporary until Battle Tower is done. As additional extra for an update the Air Balloon is now fully working and you can get it in PvP shop for 2 coins each (consumable). If there are any bugs found please report them under Bug Resolution forums. Enjoy!
