Currently, particle effects for mounts and followers are always positioned the same and have the same number of particles. This changes with the next release. Particles will now only be displayed where there are pixels, and the quantity will vary with the number of pixels. This allows mounts like Drifloon, which are positioned entirely differently from normal mounts, to have a shiny particle effect. Closed as implemented next client update.1 point
