You now have to beat Horon in the Dark Valley without letting one of your pokemon faint, then you will be able to re-enter Alucards castle where you can access the Dark Realm again after beating Alucard.

Hey, thats not a bug. You simply didnt recruit the Marowak during the quest in the Dark Realm. If you want to get it you will have to repeat that quest, make sure to recruit all the pokemon and beat Umbra again. To reset your quest you need to defeat the Horon boss in the Dark Valley without letting one of your pokemon faint, that way the Alucards castle in Necropolis will re-open where you can battle Alucard again to go back to Dark Realm.

Did you faint in a wild battle or in a battle with an NPC?

Hey, it will only try to evolve upon reaching the max amount of happiness. So you would need to faint it in a wild battle to lose some happiness first and then get it to the max happiness again. Happiness evolutions dont need a level-up for the evolution, its only about reaching the max happiness.
