Hi there @caylos. In order to use a mysterious candy to evolve a pokemon you must have the requirements for the evolution itself, even if you use the candy. You still need to be in a place where it rains in the overworld in order to evolve a Sliggoo using it. I would recommend trying out route 212 in Sinnoh since there is usually rain there. Let me know if anything is unclear.

The post you linked is referring to an older version of the game where mega stones were made available before even having mega evolutions. All those stones have been removed from player's inventories. Let me know if anything is unclear.

When beating Horon while having no pokemon fainted you must select the option "Let me fight your Lord again". This should fix the issue you are encountering. Have a nice day.

Please stick to one post in order to not create confusion and do not over bump. You are only allowed to bump after going unanswered for at least 24 hours. Over bumping will not fasten in anyway the resolution of your issue, it needs to be properly investigated and fixed. Hi there @SoundHell. Apologies for the delay. You must have fainted less than 5 times in the dark realm in order to obtain the clone variant of the Kanto starters. Failing to follow this requirement will leave you with a normal starter, as you received here. I hope this answered your question.
