  2. the current situation has little/nothing to do with the supply or demand. It's all about the money in the system. The PRO economy is designed bad! It will always result in a hyperinflation. The amount of money/items we grind from ev-training, lvling, dig spots, mushrooms, npc-battles, pokestop, ... is so much higher then the money we spend in the pokestores or as entrance fee for safari or excavation sites (es give u items with a higher value). So to all the people here saying "just grind more", yes that helps the individual player for the moment but it's not helping the game in the long run. It's also not a solution because it's not the actual problem. It's about those who cant invest more into the game or new players being scared by a huge grinding wall. If more and more players stop playing because they cant keep up the pace of the game it affects others too. They may get into the same situation and stop playing too and so on.

  4. since we have no good money sink except the sashes for 5k/5for20k i hope they dont change anything. it's still an mmo. there has to be some grinding.

  7. "this game isnt about pay to win" but it gets there and alot has to do with decisions made by the staff. U need to learn that getting stuff without investment just devalues it! IMO the problem is that u guys arent able to create good money sinks. Right now we only have focus sashes and u dont lose one every battle. We had rare candys but the prize was set too high and before the market got there u implemented "PokeStop". Now i can spend rc for the last 10-15 lvls instead of the last 2 without investing money or lots of time. I got more evolutionary stones from dig spots than i can ever spend or sell. Same goes for PP up and all the other stuff. Daycare was a good idea but the value of the pokemons is just off the grid (for example ha cleffa will be more important than ha abra or togepi is more important than any johto starter). Hoenn DC is imo irrelevant since u opened the summer event. When i started i (e.g.) farmed budew in viridian forest lvled and evolved them to get some money (it was a pain without extrasensory from egg move tutor). Today i get more money in less time from dig spot items or mushrooms in hoenn. Additionally pokemons which are really worth money are to some extend ms only (starly, gothita, ...) so if you dont buy ms u get cut of the market. And i stopped to sell pokemons because i cant spend the money i gain. If there is a bidding war and the other one has less money than me he can just sell 1 or 2 ms to overbid me. 1m+/ with no time investment why should i grind? Tbh i dont understand the decision to allow more than 2 accounts per player till today. It just helps botters!!! And besides trade evolving, doing another story line (e.g. summer event, surf pikachu) and having a selling account there is no reason for even a 2nd account. And we have enough suggestions for the trade evolving and selling problem. And having 2 accounts for the story actually kills it. There was no tough decision which stroyline i should choose for summer event. I did both and i farmed both starters for me.
  8. Best solution is more money sinks like focus sashes. And we probably need i money cut like everyone keeps up 100k and everything above gets divided by 10 e.g. 1m9 --> 100k + 1m8/10=280k. But all the stuff wont help in the long run, if bots are still a problem. As long as there is so much money in the systems prices wont go down.

  12. Dont like it that much. It has only 60 base power and 5 PP (8 PP max). It woulk help against Charizard, Volcarona and Talonflame. Volcarona and Charizard arent that common and u wouldnt OHKO Volcarona without a boosting item anyways. For talonflame u are forced to predict the switch in else u need to switch out. The value of sunny day as a utility move is imo better than a dmg move because u arent running a full offensive team.
  13. So boosting a friends/guildmembers account and vice versa is allowed? considering that you will be losing ur rating for doing that, I don't really see the problem, also is not easy to determine that you threw ur match intentionally or if u lost because u lost... what would be cheating but is way too hard to do (well just requires tons of time) is to play with one account, pass ur team to other account, level that other account to almost same rating that ur other account, then get ur pokes back, try to search both at the same time and pray that ur "smurf" matches with ur main, win the game, and repeat... which is very hard to do IMO anyways, just easier to play legitimately the rule is about boosting with smurfs. The thing about boosting is that it doesnt really require that much more time but it's lowering the risk of losing big amounts of rating. It's because a smurf at 300 points gains double the point against a 0 point player than a 600 point main would get but is losing only have the points. And every free win against the smurf gives the main way more points than he would gain against the 0 point player without any risks. Once your main is at a top rating the amount of games u need to increase your rating further is almost the same if you boost or not but with less risks. Additionally u farm points from top 26++ with your smurf. So it's getting harder for them to challenge your main's position in the top 25. Those players are actually punished two times because they lose more points against the smurfs and gain less and the lost rating means less points as the end of season reward. And the "pull off" argument is just bs given that sometimes I wait 1 to 3 mins before i find an opponent during work days and how often i play the same enemy multiple times in a row. So just sit on TS, count down before u press "find" and once u found each other it's likely u can pull it off multiple times. I think people forget that the player slots for example on red arent filled anymore. And the amount of players is inflated by players using multiple accounts at the same time. And out of all the individual players there is only a certain amount playing pvp. If u boost in a group the chances to meet a smurf are higher. Even if u arent optimizing it, a free win every few games is a free win! It's impossible to track against a group if there isnt a leak and almost impossible to track against an individual if done correctly.
  14. So boosting a friends/guildmembers account and vice versa is allowed?
  15. :y: This would really help for reports. We cant report things like baton pass clause right now if we dont record the whole fight. Even sleep clause is a problem because a physical attacker could be send to sleep by effect spore.
  16. I can confirm. I find nothing wrong with having 3 of your accounts on the PVP ladder. In fact, I find it quite impressive! However, using one's alternative account to boost the ranking of the main account, shouldn't be done. Besides the time investment i see nothing impressive in having 4 accounts in the top 25. If u are top ranked with over 100 games played u have already proven that u have some good pokemons, u know something about teambuilding and u are able to adapt and execute. You can shift your pokemons to another account and the only thing u prove is u are able to grind more than others. And the boosting part. Even if u are able to track boosting mains with the own 2nd accounts, i doubt u can ever track the boosting if used in a group. Just agree to lose intentional with 2nd accounts against higher ranked main accounts. It actually works better if u are in a group and the chances to fight each other arent that low during working days.
  17. I wanted to show u some options. If entry hazards arent a problem for u dont use defog on shiftry. But that can change if the meta changes. I mentioned it so u know u can adapt. For timid ninetales u should go nasty plot because u get a free boost if the enemy started with a bad matchup giving u the chance to sweep. Flamethrower or fire blast as stab move. Solar beam to cover the 3 weaknesses of Ninetales. Last move u can adapt. Roar to get the DD pokemons out, Extrasensory for Tentacruel (but slowbro would cover this one), W-o-W to cripple physical attacker without lum berry. But if u have the correct IV's for a good HP u could run it for coverage On Exeggutor u need to consider that u already run poison on Venusaur and only pure grass and fairy are weak against poison anyway. If u think about all possible pokemons with those typings u realize that pure grass types like tangrowth/Sceptile take the same dmg from hp fire in sun, mixed types like Venusaur/Roserade/Amoongus/Breloom take more dmg from your psychic stab attack. Ludicolo would be weak against it, but in this case u run against a rain team and u might wanna use a sun setter besides ninetales, because letting ninetales tank multiple water stab attacks isnt that great. If u dont have another sun setter Water will slowly take u down because politoed can run ice beam against your grass types. The fairy ones are azumarill (takes more dmg from grass), timid Togekiss OHKO's your exe but u wouldnt with sludge bomb and tank ones will use thunder wave and than kill u. If u dont use sludge bomb on the switch it's a bad idea. Klefki is immune, Gardevoir+Clefable+Florges and other pure fairy types take (almost) the same dmg from solar beam, leaving whimsicott as the only case it would really give u a guaranteed OHKO but u already have a guaranteed 2HKO with lum berry Sunny day will also help u against sand teams because u cant afford to switch ninetales into hippowdon's earthquake.
  18. If i wanted to build a sun team i would build a main team of 3-4 Pokemons and 3-2 pokemons to variate 1. timid+drought Ninteales Move set: Flamethrower/fire blast, Nasty plot, Solar Beam, HP rock/ice/ground sloar beam is mandatory against the 3 weaknesses rock, ground and water and has no charge up turn in the sun last slot is for coverage hp rock is strong against fire and flying and has a 18.8% chance to OHKO Talonflame at +0 while an adamant+sharp beak Talonflame with brave bird deals 82.9 - 98.2% against ninetales. HP ice helps against dragons and flying types. HP ground is good against grounded fire types and tentacruel. if ninetales doesnt have the correct iv's W-oW- or dark pulse are fine (extrasensory isnt that great because u most likely have a psychic stab pokemon) 2. chloro+Modest Venusaur nothing to add here 3. jolly+sand veil Garchomp nothing to add here 4. bold+NC Blissey Move set: Soft-boiled, heal bell, thunder wave/toxic, flamethrower/seismic toss your switch in against special attackers if u need to set up sun again. u dont need an electric attack because it is only strong against flying and water and u already cover water with grass attacks. Flying is also weak against ice and rock Sun is weak against (flash) fire pokemons, dragons, weather teams and flying types (e.g. jolly+reckless+sharp beak OHKO's your chloro sweeper and ninetales). You lack a spinner/defogger, a physical wall if u need to set up sun again, some utility like knock off a) 5. chloro+modest exeggutor Move set: Psyshock, solar Beam, HP fire, sunny day sludge bomb helps u only against bug, but hp fire already covers bug. Replace it with sunny day and u get another way to set up sun 6. impish+sturdy Donphan Move set: rapid spin, earthquake, ice shard, knock off since u try to sweep as fast as possible u dont need stealth rock. but u get a spinner, u have a great stab against sand, utility in knock off, prio move against dragon and fly (and flying dragons and garchomp take x4 dmg) b) 5. chloro+adamant/naughty/lonely shiftry Move set: Sucker Punch, Seed bomb/leaf blade (nuzleaf with correct move set)/leaf storm, knock off, swords dance/defog (egg move seedot)/rock slide defog helps u against entry hazard, rock slide against flying and fire types but has only 90% accuracy (u could kick knock off for it if u need a defogger and coverage), swords dance if u run adamant 6. reg+bold slowbro Move set: calm mind, scald, psyshock/ice beam, slack off ice beam if u need coverage against flying/dragon types, calm mind is neccessary against gothitelle A bold/calm ninetales can be an option but u need to consider that u cant outspeed everything up to 100 base speed. Without any speed investment u are slower than pokemons with 68 basespeed and max investment+nature. With investment u are slower than everything with 87 base speed and full investment into speed+nature. So u could optimize for everything with 81 base speed (287 speed; jolly+moxie gyarados) or uninvested 95 base speed (289 speed; adamant arcanine or electivire) but u will lose the chance to OHKO adamant staraptor with fire blast (63,75%) at +0 and some OHKO's at +2.
  19. The problem is that it did way less than 103.5-122.6% which means something is wrong. If HP Fire was supposed to do 103.5-122.% then Scizor should have fainted. But it didn't faint. there is something wrong but i havent experienced that bug. it's somewhat strange
  20. Never had problems with hp fire on magnezone. its killing the pokemons it should just did the calculation and your magnezone should deal 103.5 - 122.6% with hp fire.
  21. no because u pass speed and 2 other stats. Passing only stacks from Calm mind, Bulk up, Cosmic Power, Growth, Swords Dance, Nasty plot, acid armor, amnesia, iron defense, agility are fine. Dragon Dance, Quiver Dance or any of the above mentioned in combination with speed boost (with the exception of agility) arent allowed Is it possible that Chlorophyll is bugged? Had a match where sunlight faded but the enemy Venusaur remained the speed boost being able to outspeed all of my pokemons. The description clearly says "Boosts the Pokémon's Speed stat in sunshine." so it shouldnt boost it once sun faded
  22. It's funny how you mention 10/49 as if Magnezone can just eliminate these. You think you can just switch into Bisharp without punishment? You think you can just switch into Excadril? You're really trying hard bro, but Magnezone is not as rock, paper, scissors against the entire steel type metagame as you would like to convince me. Revenge killing an excadrill wouldnt be a problem if we had air balloon. And as long as bisharp isnt at +2 there is a 6,5% chance to OHKO it with thunderbolt after stealth rock with the same set even tho switching in is risky. Yes magnezone wont trap and kill every steel type. I never claimed that. I just said that steel isnt niche what u claimed. But neither does Gothitelle trap and kill every Pokemon like u want us to believe. And the funny thing is you make an example of rapid spin starmie and count your one example higher than the 5+ examples i gave just because they dont fit your argumentation. And right now gothitelle isnt used as a trapper. The trapping is used to make Gothitelle a low risk setup sweeper. And that's the problem we should fix before we ban something. We dont know if Gothitelle as a pure trapper is toxic because noone is using it as a pure trapper. But based on the fact that almost noone is complaining about Wobbuffet (without encore) or magnezone or probopass ...
  23. It doesnt matter how niche u think magnet pull is. Btw 10 of 49 Pokemon in the PRO viability rankings from S to A- tier have a steel typing. thats 20%. Given that a pokemons typing can consist of 2 out of 16 types niche would be something below 12,5%. Yes Dugtrio has low stats but who cares when your 100 dmg stab move is strong against 5 types, your second move has 200 base dmg at 1 HP and is strong against 5 types (3 different types) and your prio move adds 2 other types? As long as dugtrio is outspeeding the enemy it has a chance of OHKO'ing or at least revenge killing. Just because u arent effected by other trappers doesnt mean u can count them out. Other players may feel exactly the same way about them as u do about gohtitelle. So all u are saying is that u dont care about trapping as long as the trapper cant sweep a team like magnezone or dugtrio. And i want Gothitelle to be exactly like them. trade 1 for 1 and that's it. And u get that if the staff banns calm mind on gothitelle. And if im wrong the ban is still an option. But if the ban is the first action taken a nerf isnt an option anymore and we already lack content.
