Envymeister
Spoiler This values are the amount of EXP at Dragons Den per pokemon that spawns there & level. I was using a lvl 68 Roserade to get this values. So I assume any lvl 68 will get this amount. After level up, the amount of EXP gained gets reduced. To level up a Roserade from lvl 68 (near 69) to 80, requires rougly 3-4k wild pokemons in DD. Its insane The total EXP needed from lvl 69-80 on a Roserade is 1.854.616 EXP. IM BEATING EVERY SINGLE NPC!!! KANTO [Finished] Spoiler 1ST GYM Spoiler I did grind a bit xD ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Forgot to take SS of 2nd gym Buy same pokes: Poliwag lvl 20 | Budew, Fearow lvl 21 | Charmeleon lvl 23 After gym, same levels but Budew Lvl 22, close to 23 ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ 3RD GYM Spoiler 4TH GYM Spoiler 5TH GYM Spoiler 6TH GYM Spoiler 7TH GYM Spoiler 8TH GYM Spoiler _________________________________________________________________________________________ ELITE FOUR KANTO WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL i forgot to take SS when i entered :< Levels were pretty much the same: Honchkrow - 58 near 59. Roserade - 59 Charizard - 64 Starmie - 63 Graveler - 53 Magnemite - 21 FEEDBACK Spoiler Kanto overall was really tough, since I didnt play a setup pokemon such as Gyarados. The early stage was rather easy, since leveling up isnt as tough, so the progression till the 4th badge, included, was smooth and didnt wave to much. The problem starts on the 5th gym. Even after unlocking more routes to get EXP from, it was not really enough to overcome with ease the 5th gym, but was still doable. The main issue in Kanto starts now. You unlock 6 new routes. and Saffron. and yet was not enough to have a Balance time with Sabrinna. My suggestion? Ofc rework her a bit, and the 7-8 floors on Saffron Tower that were cleaned by Red, Niko, Gary, Sabrinna and ..... put rocket grunts there so we get more exp. After that point, the game isnt THAT hard, if you have a magnemite. The 8th gym with the gimmick of magnemite makes its easy, without it, might be very very hard. The Victory Road and E4 is just IMPOSSIBLE without grinding. The gap from the 8th gym to Victory road itself is HUGE! The Elite four, welllll just gotta lose lose lose, until you have levels enough to beat it => not healthy AT ALL OVERALL: For a player that picks more than 2 pokes to level up, you willl struggle after the 4th badge. The 5th badge is still doable since you unlock some zones, but the 6th badge gap is HUGE, even when unlocking new zones filled with NPCs wasnt sufficient to beat Sabrinna (I picked Honchkrow to play thinking about this fight) I know a handful players that got stuck here! JOHTO [Finished] Spoiler 1ST GYM Spoiler Forgot 1st pic, was lvl 18 2ND GYM Spoiler I SWEAR IM FORGETTING................ Croconaw - Lvl 27 Skiploom - Lvl 20 Geodude - 7 3RD GYM Spoiler 4TH GYM Spoiler 5TH GYM Spoiler 6TH GYM Spoiler 7TH GYM Spoiler 8TH GYM Spoiler E4 Champion Spoiler FEEDBACK Spoiler This Region was soloed by Feraligatr! I feel that the first 4 gyms would be easy even with a full team, after that the progression would be slower and harder, since the 5th and 6th gyms are easy, but very much doable! The only hard time I had in this run, was just the 8th gym. I tried to go without going to DD. Was impossible. SO I hard to catch fairy types, and even so wasnt easy. The E4 was harder than Kanto's, since I already had Kanto pokes to help me out, and I still struggled. Even so, Fera, soloed again. OVERALL: Again, would probably be hard with a full team, but im sure still manageable. Out of all regions, the most fluid one. Only issue would be the 8th gym if DD didnt exist. If DD didnt exist, the 8th gym would prolly be on the same level as Sabrinna, pretty damn hard, until then, fairly easy. E4 Harder than Kanto's, but since you have Kanto pokes makes it ''easier''. Still needs an adjustment. HOENN [Finished] Spoiler 1ST GYM Spoiler 2ND GYM Spoiler 3RD GYM Spoiler 4TH GYM Spoiler 5TH GYM Spoiler 6TH GYM Spoiler 7TH GYM Spoiler 8TH GYM Spoiler Forgot to take SS before Wallace. Only thing was my Haxorus was lvl 81 (close to 82) E4 Spoiler FEEDBACK Spoiler Hoenn was a pretty damn balance region. Only issue was the wild pokemons level. Pretty much all wild pokes were below level 30 till the 7th gym, impossible to lvl up. You either start with the right pokemons, or get stuck. The journey itself, not much to be said, was balanced, only complain I have is the amount of NPC's that dont give ANY EXP. I hated that from the bottom of my heart. Only Gym I struggled with was the 8th, Deoxys would be hard without a gimmick, I used sturdy pokemon with Toxic + potions till he faints. Otherwise would be super super hard. OVERALL: This was the thoughest region by far, overall. I played with 2 pokemons till 4-5th gym, then Haxorus only. I believe if you level up a full team, a balanced one, might be doable. There's alot of NPC's that dont give EXP which I hate! But from the 3 this one is the most balanced region. E4 again, depends if you prepare your team for it. Was super easy for me, but I had good pokes, I did choose pokes before hand, thinking on the late game. SINNOH [Finished] - 80% NPC Done Only Spoiler 1ST GYM Spoiler I did ALOT of grind (evs) so this will be biased and will skew the results 2ND GYM Spoiler 3RD GYM Spoiler 4TH GYM Spoiler HMMMM I forgot the initial SS... Although it was simple: Infernape 43 ; Staraptor 44 5TH GYM Spoiler 6TH GYM Spoiler 7TH GYM Spoiler 8TH GYM Spoiler E4 Spoiler FEEDBACK Spoiler The worst region BY FAR!!! So tedious, boring, overall this is the worst region we have right now... Sadly, I love Sinnoh... I started by EV training, was super high leveled for the first gym, but fast I did realize I would ALWAYS be underleveled, even with just 2 pokes. Only for the 7thgym onforward, I started to focus only on Infernape and then I could keep up with the levels. 1st - 3rd gym was Easy. After that, rly hard to keep up. A full party would be pretty hard to beat this region. Requires a Trainer Rework, fast. 4th - 8th Gym Infernap can Solo with revived and Potions but pretty tough. Giratina (?) Same as Hoenn Deoxys, only with a gimmick. This boss fights are just dumb in the first place, making them overpowered and attempt that a newbie gets stuck... OVERALL: Only leveled up 2 pokes, and late just 1 poke! I was ALWAYS underleveled after the 4th gym! But not surprising since lacks the Trainer rework. E4 again, was easy with the team I had. So cant know for sure how hard/easy it is in reality. EXP Share => Best addition ever, allows one to lvl up pokes at the same pace. and EV trains its easier. LOVED IT! EXP Rework => Early Game is super good now, Mid Game falls hard in terms of difficulty. LATE GAME IS HELL! If it stays like this, it will be impossible to level a poke to lvl100. Unless is Erratic Growth Rate. A roserade from lvl 68 -> 80 in DD, would take around 3-4k wild pokes faiting!! Its unthinkable. Marksman1303
Personal test history: First I have to mention that I played without the Exp Boost, because I think very few players who start the game after collecting the Exp Boost will play the full story in this time. In addition, the story should also be playable without boost. I started the story in Kanto with Bulbasaur as that should make the first two gyms easier for me. In front of the Mt.Moon I bought a Magikarp in the Pokécenter with Dragon Rage attack. After that I played a lot with Magikarp/Gyarados and also leveled a few other Pokémon with XP Share. The whole thing went quite well and the story played smoothly until I got to the eighth badge. I had absolutely no chance at the viridian gym, so I had to help myself out with a Magnemite with Thunder Wave. When I got to Victory Road, I was completely underleveled. The very first trainer had Pokémon 10 levels above my strongest Pokémon. I've been trying to level up my Pokemon but it takes way too long in my opinion, it took me 30-45 min to level up my Gyarados. The exp that a medium to high level Pokemon gets is way too low. When I got to Elite 4, my Gyarados was level 63 and I didn't stand a chance there either. After a few rounds of Elite 4 (quite tiring) I had my Gyarados ready to do Elite 4. But I'm pretty sure beginners don't play like that. Most new players pick the Pokemon they like to play with the most, so I took a different approach to Johto. I chose Cyndaquil as the starter in Johto and leveled right on the first route so that Cyndaquil learned Ember. After that I played the story and caught Pokémon that I liked. For the quest in Goldenrod I then caught a paras and trained it up to level 22 (with the exp share) that was ok in terms of duration. After Goldenrod I’ve fougth every Trainer, but from then on I was actually always underleveled. I just about made it through the fourth gym. After that on the way to Olivine City I had big problems with every trainer and I had to go back and heal after every fight. It was exactly the same in the Olivine lighthouse. When it came to the water route to Cianwood I finally thought I had an advantage with my Ampharos, but far from it, the wild Pokemon were at my level and I had problems with the Ampharos and it was constantly being defeated. For the gym in Cianwood I was hopelessly inferior. This uninterrupted running to heal because my entire team was defeated by some individual Pokémon made me so excited that I only felt frustration and ended the test due to lack of motivation. My opinion on the test: The start in the first two regions I played went relatively smoothly, but after that it unfortunately ran relatively slowly and was really no longer fun. To be honest, if the story had gone that way for me back then, I probably wouldn't have played the game that long, but would have stopped there. The fact that you can use the EXP share to level up other Pokemon is all well and good, but if it ends up having two Pokemon that are underleveled, then I'd rather play without it. The fact that you get EXP from catching Pokemon is ok because it has such little impact on the gaming experience anyway, I would even say it doesn't matter. I thought it was great that you could evolve your Pokemon because the EXP drop wasn't that extreme. I've always found it a shame that mid-evolutions were almost never played on Pokémon with two evos. In summary, I can say that in the end the only thing that remains in your head is the frustration you had because you spent hours and hours defeating wild Pokémon and not getting enough EXP, as well as the numerous attempts in the Elite 4. Finally, my impression of the test after looking at all the posts here. It feels like 95% used the same teams or Pokémon here. Unfortunately, I have to say that no normal new player plays like this. We have a guild with many players who are brand new to the game. Many don't know about Natures, Abilities, what IV bring. That's why it's not really realistic that someone buys Ice Beam because he knows that he'll play it with Totodile in Johto or that he'll buy Toxic in Fuchsia, because he'll do it in Hoenn against Deoxys or Giratina with a Sturdy Geodude wants to use. No player who has not already played through the story plays like this, which is why I can only see the test as helpful to a limited extent. But hopefully bring at least the levels of the teams to give conclusions on the EXP you should get. I hope everything was understandable and somewhat helpful.
