  1. Hello everyone. First of all I'd just like to start with that I'm really happy with all the progress that has been made by the developers. At this point there's almost nothing pvp related to complain about which is great of course. Almost every move, ability and pokemon is coded, we have team preview and I've heard (but haven't seen staff confirm it myself) megas are on the way as well. With all these pvp changes I feel like it's time we take another step and give every player the freedom to catch every single Sinnoh lake trio, every single legendary dog and etc. Pros: * The pvp meta will be more diverse as players can now have a bigger pvp pokemon collection and therefore less limits in team building. * Many old players (including myself) chose their trio legendaries long ago and some regret the choice they made. Sure, everyone did have a choice but some players don't really know what play style they prefer to use when they catch legendaries and later find out that their chosen legend doesn't suit them at all. * This would mean another step towards us being able to "catch them all" which is what pokemon is all about anyway. Cons: * There will be a huge demand of reroll tickets, which would either have to bring more events or new ways to obtain them. * It will make bosses easier to beat since we will get more options to counter some and that's not really optimal since most bosses already are way too easy. Keep in mind I'm talking about the trios here. None of them are ubers and they're all balanced in pvp. I still believe we should be able to catch all legendaries and just ban away those who actually are problems. What's in ubers are in ubers for a reason and that's not what this thread is about. I'm only bringing this up to make it clear what this thread is about after having discussions about this topic in different discords within this community. One of the points that some brought up was that this would ruin the creativity in the meta and make people run 6 legendaries in 1 team. I have to completely disagree with that since running 6 legendaries in 1 single team isn't a very good idea with the current legends we have in the game and I also believe that more mons always mean more room for creativity. Lastly I just want to say that the pros are way bigger than the cons and I would love to see this implemented. TL;DR Letting us catch all the trio legendaries will improve the pvp meta game, it will let old players who regret their choice finally obtain their desired trio without having to start a new account. It would also mean that we would be one step closer to be able to catch all pokemon. All this for the price of having to fix another way to obtain reroll tickets and making the bosses a little bit easier. Thank you for reading :)

  3. Okay this is just dumb. 150 PvP coins without hitting ladder is 2-3 months worth of PvP. PvP shop is extremely inefficient for those that cannot hit ladder. Two to three months for one chance to reset one legendary's IVs. As far as PvP coins go, you either hit ladder or you aren't reasonably buying rerolls. Glossing over the fact that you expect people to repeat a tedious grind of hundreds of evos and hundreds of afk hours, alts are literally banned in pvp, so you can hardly decide on mid-season experimentation with Latias to test new ideas... While it is true that legendaries aren't the best Pokemon in the game, they tend to fill unique niches that other Pokemon simply cannot. Attempting to replace them makes teams significantly worse. Consider Hydreigon, often touted as "discount Latios": - It has Dark STAB instead of Psychic, and no access to Psyshock, severely hindering its ability to blow through special walls such as Chansey and Tentacruel. - It doesn't get Trick, heavily worsening the matchup of its choice sets against defensive teams. - It doesn't get Calm Mind, removing a powerful set in its entirety. - It doesn't get Defog. - Its Draco Meteor is marginally weaker. - Most importantly, its speed tier sucks. Base 98 compared to Latios's base 110 leaves it considerably weaker against aggressive teams unless scarfed. Life Orb and Specs Latios are powerful options because of their ability to rip through anything slower than them. Hydreigon is slower than a lot more than Latios is. Another common "discount" mon is Jolteon in place of Raikou. - Despite being faster, in PRO there are few notable threats between base 115 Speed and base 130 Speed, save the likes of Weavile and Alakazam. - It doesn't get Calm Mind, and so has a much more difficult time capitalizing on switches. - It's marginally weaker. - It has no bulk and dies to priority extremely easily. - No Aura Sphere, Extrasensory, or basically any coverage options outside of HP Ice and Shadow Ball (lol) These types of replacements don't cut it in high-level PvP. Even Pokemon that are garbage in general (like Uxie) are irreplaceable in the archetypes in which they find homes: nothing consistently provides the sheer utility for Trick Room teams that Uxie can. However, no one's gonna ditch Azelf or start a new account just to obtain one - Trick Room is a mediocre meme team at best, and if you want to see more of that sort of diversity on ladder, make it easier to access.

  5. Agreed. The state at which PRO was in months ago heavily impacted our decision when it came to the legendary dogs and lake trios. Also, just because these Pokemon are called "Legendary" doesn't mean they have to be so limited to players. There are Pokemon that perform roles better than some of the legendary Pokemon available to us so it's not like having the other 2 would give anyone a competitive advantage or make the metagame unhealthy. "The handhelds themselves didn't give the option to catch all legendaries in a single version, one had to trade some from the other versions." -This is true but unlike the handhelds, there are no different versions of PRO so this comparison doesn't make much sense at all. Adding to what I said above; with new tools such as Trick Room, Volt Switch, etc. coming into the game, we players are pretty limited in terms of what we can and can't use in Ranked PvP. It may seem "cool" to make Legendary Pokemon so rare but it doesn't help Ranked PvP at all. And maintaining a healthy, balanced, and diverse metagame should be the goal. Limiting us to how many viable Pokemon we can catch doesn't help in regards to that.

  6. The amount of time needed to make an account, finish all 4 regions, meet the hour requirements, get evolves, AND do the quests for a chance to have decent legendary Pokemon is ridiculous so the "other accounts" argument is pretty awful just like Felix mentioned above. I never said it would be "cooler" to make the other legendary Pokemon available to everyone so I can tell you didn't read my response thoroughly. I said it's important to maintain a healthy and diverse metagame and allowing us to get the other legendary Pokemon would help PRO do that. I could understand if the updated PRO we play now was the PRO we played back then, but the fact that our decisions were impacted by the developer's inability to fix the game at the time is enough to AT LEAST allow a way to re choose the legendary Pokemon. And it's not about being envious of other players. That's completely besides the point of this whole post.

  7. with all due respect this is such a terrible advice that I don't even know where to begin with, everything in this game is based on such high requirements, doing everything on more than one account just to have a CHANCE to get a decent legendary (hope for no fail sync and decent IVs) is in my opinion such a flawed argument

  8. Not everyone cant reach ladder and dont want to do +150 just for reroll a "trash" legendary. Dont say "you can buy this in trade." Its complety false people abuse about Reroll price. Ingame quest is rare, (christmas) and sometime troll (April Fool) so, that doesnt count. PvE shops is here but some player just do this for Pokemon (me in first.) Tournament rewards, im agree about this but like i said before about ladder. And not everyone can win (but its fine to try.) Have a nice day cya.

  9. A Comprehensive Selling and Buying guide for Pokémon Revolution Online. Written by: Lysium and Forged. Introduction Greetings, Forged and I have decided to write this guide as a way of assisting new players in understanding the value of the Pokémon in their collection. We regularly get asked via in game message or discord, to price Pokémon. Although the art of “Price Checking” is mostly guess work there are many different things to consider when estimating the value of a given Pokémon. Below we have compiled a comprehensive list of things to consider when either selling or buying. Pricing is a combination of knowledge of the current PRO metagame, Smogon tier lists, PRO rarity tiers, and just how good is good enough to be competitive. Lastly a price check/estimation is a guess, a gut feeling. Prices can sway up to 50% based on who the buyer is and how desperate they are, or how competitive the market is for that Pokémon. *Please note that this guide is aimed at helping you identify valuable Pokémon for specific tips on selling and obtaining the best price please see the guide below. Selling Tips and Advice for PRO **If you have any comments or suggestions about this guide, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below. Thanks 1. Rarity [spoiler=Rarity] [spoiler=Rarity] [spoiler=Rarity] [spoiler=Rarity]A rarity value or rating is given to a Pokémon based on how frequently they spawn during wild Pokémon encounters. The rating is a number scale from 1 meaning “abundant” or a very common spawn, all the way up to 10 “Unhuntable” meaning only obtainable through evolutions, boss rewards, fossils or some other means. It cannot be found through regular spawning mechanics. The value of poke increases significantly as the rarity of the poke increases. The rarity of a Pokémon can add significant value to it and should be one of the first things to consider when estimating the value. There are many helpful guides written on the forums about rarity and spawning mechanics. Including excavations sites, headbutt tree’s, fossils and boss rewards, please check there for further information on those spawning mechanics. Below is a link to the PRO wiki page with regard to the rarity of Pokémon in PRO. *Please note some of the rarity ratings on this website are outdated and not accurate. PRO Rarity Guide Example: In this situation even though both Pokémon are considered to be "Epic" and "PvP Ready" Blissey is by far the more valuable one simply because of it's rarity. 2. PRO Viability [spoiler=PRO Viability]Pro Viability is a difficult topic to articulate and many people can have a different opinion on the viability of a Pokémon. Essentially the more viable it is the greater the value. For example, While Ruby/Sapphire is infested with Shroomish, they are a fairly rare spawn in PRO, as well as being a competitively useful Pokémon (with the Technician ability) so the prices will be higher. Generally speaking, our advice is to look up on “Smogon” how competitive a Pokémon is based on the tier it is placed in. OU > UU > RU > NU > PU Most of the PRO metagame is between the Under Used (UU) tier and the Over Used (OU) tier. Tiers can change a lot and can be based on a variety of things such as team strategies, synergy etc. After determining what tier, a Pokémon is in you should research what competitive movesets are available to a given Pokémon and cross reference that with the currently available/legal move/abilities on PRO (some are either illegal or not-coded therefor not-legal in PvP). If a Pokémon is in the Over-used (OU) tier and has a viable/legal move set in PRO then the price will generally climb. *Note please see the following for a comprehensive list of viable Pokémon for the PRO metagame. With the release of Gen7 these viability rankings are likely to change significantly. PRO Viability list Gen6 **Note please see the link below for the current banned/illegal Pokémon, moves and move sets in PRO it is your responsibility to adhere to these rules. Any violation may result in your account being banned. Banned Moves PvP Banned Pokemon Example: In this situation again we compare Azumarill to another much rarer Blastoise with it's hidden ability interestingly Blastoise was the cheaper Pokémon because it's not very viable. 3. PvP Readiness [spoiler=PvP Readiness]The Value of a poke can increase based on it being PvP ready or not. Generally speaking, we add about 50k EV’s trained stat (510EVs) add up to 150k if EV trained and levelled. A Pokémon with proper IVs/Nature/Ability and Moveset is considered to be "PvP Ready" which can be seen as a convenience charge which can add another 100k on top of that. There are a few things that make a Pokémon “PvP Ready” this term is often thrown around a lot in the trade chat however it is not always used correctly. What makes a Pokémon PvP ready? · Trained: In order for a Pokémon to be “trained” it firstly needs to have its Ev’s administered correctly, often there can be a few different “spreads” for a given poke. Secondly a Poke should be fully evolved and at level 100. · Ability/Nature: In order for a Pokémon to be classed as “PvP ready” it should have the correct ability and a viable nature. For most poke there is only one competitive ability. Again Smogon is a good place to learn these. However, there are on occasions two viable abilities on a Pokémon. For example, a Venusaur can be bold with overgrow or modest with chlorophyll. They both constitute having a competitive nature and ability. *Note Pokémon that need their “Hidden ability” (HA) will be more valuable than Pokémon who do not require a HA. Venusaur is another good example of this. · IV/EV spread: A “PvP ready” Pokémon should have competitive Ev’s and IV’s. See below for more detail. *Note Unless you have a seriously “god” like Pokémon, you want to stay below the average prices of those "Tier 1" competitive Pokémon. While you may think the Pokémon is awesome, other people need to think so too or they'll pass over your listing. It's best to stay under the competitive prices of "Tier 1" Pokémon in order to sell quickly. If you are not in a rush to sell then you may wish to aim higher and hope for a desperate buyer. Example: In this example we compare two Clefables both of which have the correct ability and nature and both are almost "Epic" however one is considered to be "PvP Ready" and the other is not. In this situation it is reasonable to expect that the Pokémon that is "PvP Ready" could easily sell for an extra 200K. 4. Epic Status [spoiler=Epic Status]The Value of a Pokémon can increase significantly if it has “Epic” status. Most Top tier players will only use a Pokémon if it is Epic so what makes a Pokémon have “Epic” status. · Primary Stat: A Pokémon often has 2 sometimes 3 Primary stats and this will vary greatly depending on what role we want the poke to fill. A wall poke generally has 3 primary stats being Health/Defence/Sp.Defence. An offensive Poke Usually has 2 Primary stats Being Attack/Speed or Sp.Attack/Speed. For a Pokémon to be classed as “Epic” we need at least 25+ IV’s in each Primary stat. · Secondary Stat: The Stats that are not Primary stats are called secondary stats for a Poke to be classed as “Epic” it usually should have 20+ IV’s in each secondary stat. for an offense poke this includes defence/Health/Sp.Defence. For a wall poke this usually includes speed and either Attack or Sp.Attack. · Negative Stat: A negative stat is the one affected negatively by its nature, for example a bold poke has a negative stat in Attack usually this stat can be of any value to be classified as “Epic”. *Note this is only a guide and some Pokémon maybe require different elements to be classified as “Epic” like mixed attackers such as Nidoking. **Note please see the guide linked below for more detail on IV’s and EV’s PRO Bible: IV's, EV's, Nature, Abilities Example: In this Example we look at two Pokémon the first is what we would consider to be "Epic" note the Primary and secondary stats, The second at first glance appears to be "Epic" also however, on closer inspection we notice that it does not have the correct ability and therefore not considered to be "Epic". It is important to be very careful when buying Pokémon on the trade market because it can be very easy to overlook some details and you end up overpaying for something not very useful. 5. Market Viability [spoiler=Market Viability]The final thing to consider when estimating the price of a Pokémon is the market viability. For a variety of reasons sometimes the market can be "hot" or "cold" for not particular reason. Most recently Rotom has been a highly sought after Pokémon selling for up to 4+ Million. a few months ago an epic Rotom could have easily been purchased for under 500k. Obviously this has to do with the release of Rotom evolutions. However, it is still a good indication of how the market can be "hot" or "cold" on a particular Pokémon. Ideally it is best to sell a poke when it's “hot” and buy when it’s “cold” As the meta shift’s with the addition of a new generation of Pokémon more abilities and moves being coded into the game, prices are likely to vary significantly over the coming few weeks and months. It is a good idea to become familiar with these changes ahead of time to avoid making big mistakes. For example: Purchasing a Talonflame just before the introduction of Gen7. *Note at the end of the day it is your Pokémon and you have the final word on what you think it is worth. If you are not happy with the price, then simply don’t sell it or it could be something you regret down the line. Thanks for taking the time to read our guide. Peace <3

  11. «◘EV TRAINING HOTSPOTS◘» Hey there fellas, i'm starting up this Guide Thread in-order to help ya out in EV training fast Before you get started you may like to know what EVs actually are. EV stands for 'effort value'. 4 Evs will increase a pokemon stat by 1 point, the maximum amount of EVs in a stat is 255 but the recommended maximum is 252 so you can use the remainder points in another stat. If you want a full guide and explanation of what EVs are you should check somewhere else like bulbapedia. If you have never played pokemon competitively before and would like to learn more about sets and EV spreads then I would recommend checking out smogon. They have all you need and more on basic sets. :etc: This is a list of all the places to train EVs. It will tell you what pokemon will give what EVs and where to find them.If you see something wrong, let me know. :etc: Evs can be modified/multiplied using a "Macho Brace", it makes gained EV's x2 Note: The Timing, Rarity and Evs gained is mentioned. I've tried almost all the maps and checked the spawns to ensure which are can be classified as an EV Training Spot. 14. Hi, I was wondering if you could add a special Icon for Event/Pink Pokemon like the golden S for shiny Pokemon. For example there is no way to distinguish between a regular nidoran m and a pink one - so I'm forced to post every nidoran m I have caught on Pinkan Island in chat to find out if it's pink or not. It would make things a lot easier.

You add Genesect/Darkrai so why not a OU pokemon who can be destroy in meta #Weavile. So btw thanks for answer have a nice day.

  24. Even if you won't let us catch legends with over 600BST this thread was mainly focused on the trios. None of the current available legend trios have over 600BST so I don't see why that would matter here.

  25. Meant that you can catch one of a trio, then come back 3 months later and catch all of them. A cooldown of like 1 month would to the same job I guess.
