In wake of the release of the Christmas Event, I've decided to create this guide to make sure that you guys can easily navigate through this year's event. I want to give a big shout out to Necro, LightningVector, Heiwajima for the help they gave me in making this guide. This year pro has cooked up some exciting new things for us so with that said let's get right into it. All Credits in this section go to NECRO. From the port, you want to head north into Eumi Island Theme Park 1. When you try to go ahead deeper into the theme park the receptionist will stop you saying that they are experiencing blackouts and that Waston said something was wrong in New Mauville [spoiler=Dialogue] From there head back to the ports and sail back to Lilycove City Ports. Once back in Lilycove make your way to Mauville Which is located just south of Mauville City, in Route 110 and surf East until you are at the entrance of New Mauville. There you will see Watson and the officer Shamac, talk to them and they will say that investigating a pirate ship at Lilycove City Ports that belongs to Captain Phantom Crew who stole an Important Machine part. Take note that to partecipate to the event, you must have already defeated the Hoenn E4 and not be locked in any region! In addition, remember that you can access Eumi Island Town by talking with Sailor Jacob in Lilycove City Harbor. - Be sure to be Hoenn Champion before starting this quest. - Go Route 114 in Hoenn, find Fossil Maniac Charles in his house and talk to him about the permit. - Now you will have to collect six different fragments spread around all Excavation Sites (excluding Wondrous Site, Briny Site and Draconic Site). - You do not have to enter the sites. Use a Pokemon with Rock Smash and destroy all breakable rocks around the Excavation Sites. Please note that this step is not needed for every player. - Once you have all six fragments collected, come back to Route 114 and talk with Fossil Maniac Charles. He will ask you to pay 100.000 Pokedollar in order to buy the permit. - You are now owner of the Archaeologist Permit and can start visiting the different sites. The tier depends on the discoveries you have made. You get one "Discovery Point" by smashing the rocks inside each site. With every tier you get access to more Pokemon and items. You can check your tier on your Trainer Card. The rocks inside of every Excavation Site respawn every 20h after being broken. You have also a low chance of getting nothing when breaking a rock. - Excavation Ranks: Explorer (1-500 discoveries) Scrounger (501-999 discoveries) Plunderer (1000-1999 discoveries) Relic Hunter (2000-3999 discoveries) Archaeologist (4000-5900 discoveries) Paleontologist (6000-7999 discoveries) Tomb Raider (8000+ discoveries) If you encounter a spawn you're not experienced enough to get, the Pokemon will flee or the item gets destroyed. How many Discoveries you need for each Pokémon rarity is mentioned below. You will however gain one or more "Bonus Discovery Point" each time you'll encounter a Pokemon who fled or if the item gets destroyed. The rock will tell you how many extra points you gained. - Used Rarity Tiers in the guide: Common 0+ Discoveries Uncommon 1000+ Discoveries Rare 2000+ Discoveries Super Rare 4000+ Discoveries Excavation Sites are shiny locked, which means that you are not able to encounter Shiny or Themed Pokemon in the sites. With the exception of Shiny Rocks, which may contain shiny Pokémon. As for all scripted spawns for wild Pokemon, an active BMS won't influence the chance of a hidden ability in the excavation sites. In every site you are able to find "Artifact Pieces", which can be traded in the Historical Site for items and fossils by talking to Artifact Maniac Hastor. Hello. I would like to suggest a little visual update to Pokemon forms other than shiny. It would be nice to see icons for each form next to the Pokemon name, just like S with shiny ones. I think it could be helpful during hunting, because some of the forms are really hard to see on smartphone screen (for example pinkan male Nidoran vs regular one). I made fast prototypes to show how it could look like: - for Christmas Pokemon - for Easter Pokemon - for Halloween Pokemon - for Valentine's Day Pokemon - for Piknan Pokemon - for clone Pokemon And here this is a test screenshot from the game how it could look during gameplay: Hope you like this idea!

Hello! This year's Christmas event will be a bit shorter, but the focus is very much on your needs and fun. First a little reminder; To fully enjoy the event, you must have already defeated the Hoenn E4 and not be locked in any region! Let's go to the first part of the event; Our hunting event! After the defeats of the last three years, the Grinch decided to challenge Santa Claus directly. Santa is very skeptical of the Grinch, but can only reach out to him on such a solemn occasion. The Grinch suggested a contest. He learned about a little elf who had to go through a lot this year. He lost his parents and is completely alone now. Of course, the Grinch thought that this year should end even more terrible. He challenged Santa to go in search of the best possible gift while the Grinch sought the worst gift possible. However, the elf would only receive the best or worst gift. But is that really all that Grinch is up to? Both are looking for the best/worst possible Pokemon now. Santa Claus and the Grinch compare their presents every advent. There will be six winners on each server, and it's possible to help out both at the same time! The big hunt starts with the first advent! _________________________________________________________________________ is looking for the best possible Pokemon! But Naive is usable on Lucario. If they wanted only certain kind of natures, they should announce them, because people may hunt other good set and see them rejected.

Did you fought the lvl 100+ Heatran before getting your sync? If i recall correctly, you have 2 options on when to catch it: The level 100+ and the level 30 Heatran (After killing the level 100+ heatran). So even if you fought all trainers there, you can't get your sync without killing the high level heatran first. Does that make sense?

Hello! I'm Cobrakai, and i'm doing this topic to aid people with their EV training! I want to share with you a list of decent EV training hotspots (some of them better then others but it's what i found best until now), with a list of the Pokémons showing up in each hotspot, their approximate levels, EV gain from battling each of those Pokémon and the daytime where those Pokémon appear. The rarity of listed Pokémon is estimated. This guide will be updated as soon as i get more information on other decent hotspots. EDIT: Hotspots are not all in Kanto anymore, decided to add a few from Johto region aswell because they are actually really good. Ways to Modify EV Gain: As there are no Horde encounters, we are gonna struggle bit more than at 6th gen games (X & Y). Pokérus also not available so, the struggle will be even bigger. Macho Brace IS available and working, making EV training 2x faster - doubles EV gain but halves holder's speed. As many people seemed to not know, Macho Brace can be obtained in the Johto region, Goldenrod City, by trading a Drowzee with an npc who gives a Machop helding the item. HealthPoints (HP) EV training hotspots: Johto - Ruins of Alph Entrance Kanto - Viridian Forest --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Attack (Atk) EV training hotspots: Johto - Mt.Mortar Johto - Dark Cave (North) Kanto - Pokémon Tower (Lavender) Kanto - Mt.Moon Kanto - Route 11 Kanto - Route 12 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Defense (Def) EV training hotspots: Kanto - Viridian Forest --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Speed (SPD) EV training hotspots: Johto - Dragons Den Kanto - Diglett Cave --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Special Attack (Sp.Atk) EV training hotspots: Kanto - Route 5 Kanto - Route 6 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Special Defense (Sp.Def) EV training hotspots: Attention: To be honest, Sp. Def is so easy to train, u can find Tentacool almost everywhere (through rod or surfing, doesn't matter which method). I'm just listing the locations where it seemed i found a high ammount of Tentacruel for a faster train (maybe i was just lucky finding many Tentacruel in these zones, maybe it's just my impression).
