I think I waited long enough. I will share what I think now. Moderators for sure are doing a very good job. The only thing I don't like is the moderation in excess for unnecessary things. I know there are rules and they must be respected. However, blindly following a rule no matter the context makes me feel in prison. I legit roll my eyes until I see my brain when I see a moderator over moderating, and showing off that he/she can use capslock (I know, sounds childish what I'm saying, but I know you know what I am talking about). I will give an example: Everyone is having a conversation about a different language. Everyone is speaking in English though. However, someone asks "How do you say I love you in portuguese?" Someone responds: "Eu te amo". A moderator comes out of nowhere and say "Only English here, please!" In my opinion it is nonsense. I know there's a rule to prevent people from having a conversation in other languages in All chat, so it doesn't turns the chat to a chaos, but teaching few words in another language doesn't mean we stopped speaking in English. It won't turn the chat to chaos. It will just teach people few words, which is productive. Here's the screenshots to illustrate what I just said: Please, Açaiberry, don't take it personal. You are not the only one who does it. Also, I know you are an App and you are just doing your job. However, I just think moderating like this is unnecessary. If we were all just having a conversation in portuguese or any other language, I would understand the reason for moderating. But that just makes my eyes roll. I could be wrong, I could be the only one who thinks it. But I guess this is the right page to express how you feel about moderation, right? I really hope you guys think deeply about my opinion and don't just be like "You are wrong, doesn't matter how you feel, I will just follow the rules I created blindly". I know you guys are way more mature than me to accept when something is lame or not. Gio smells.4 points

If I warn Theminho on the chat for spamming and you will spam 10 seconds later, I m not gonna warn you even if the warnings had Theminho's name, I will mute you. You guys think 60 seconds mute is the most important thing in the world and you would be surprised to know that 60 seconds mute is counted as warning. About unbanning wave, a lot of people banned due to Toxicity and Chat infractions were unbanned lately, people that were harshly banned in the past, we changed the Policy to be strict but not ruthless with toxic users, as well. Although, if you request us to unban mass botters, mass RMTers, bug abusers, scammers and every type of user who tried to take unfair advantage against the rest of fair playing player base, we are not doing it. I have banned my own friends for doing such things and I will continue doing it. While the Punishment Policy regarding Chat infractions is laxer than before, the Punishment Policy about any kind of "cheat" is harsher. Unban chances in these cases depend on many things, we give chance to people they deserve it, but it's not our fault if they don't make use of this chance.4 points

I am glad to see that the majority of our Community agrees with the latest Chat Rules changes. Devs put a timer on trade chat, so users can post only once per 30seconds and yeah that helps a lot. I am not a fan of Rates on Help Chat, Onkelles mentioned that people spam their Pokemon there and some questions get burried. So we might need to look further into it in the future, if it starts being annoying. I believe you will find all replies you need in Qeight's guide about the use of in-game chat rules. You can find the guide here. I have thought many times to forbid online auctions, since it is really messy to moderate them. Auctioneers break the rules many times and bidders do not keep the appropriate evidence, so we don't have enough evidence to actually moderate it correctly. And there you will find the loopholes I am referring to my auction guide. Last call isn't a thing, every time you see last call, you can simply report the auction. About misleading/deceiving, users using their friends or alts to raise their Pokemon's price, be sure that if reported, we can investigate and find out. This would be too complicated to be made by Rules and I would prefer our Devs to focus on other Staff, such as Game Content and Auction House. I cannot reply on any question or suggestion about Developers, but only Moderation and how we can be better. Moves and Abilities are coded according the 7th Gen, we cannot nerf or edit anything, since we want to follow the originals. If a move or ability is considered "too op", we drop it on the table, after listening to Community's comments about it, as well. Trust me, every banned ability and move, was discussed a lot and decisions were made carefully. Thanks for your feedback and your kind words. This is more of a Developer's matter, we can't do anything about that. Best we could, is suggest to Devs to insert "Ignore" to the list you can see by right clicking the user. Will be suggested. Nope. We don't save any chat record. This is the reason you have to provide chat evidence yourself. In case of severe infractions, even more having to do with Trades, we might find out what happened after Investigation and through appeals, with the help of trade logs. In any case, not having the appropriate evidence will just make our job harder and we can't assure anyone about finding out what exactly happened. We try our best, with what we have. Yes, Staff Members are volunteers, it is just a hobby, contributing to the Game we love. We spend a great amount of our free time to do that, some users appreciate it and some others don't. I want to believe that majority does. Each Moderation Staff member reacts differently in real time cases. All of us should tell you to report on forums, this is the proper way. We have to fill logs for all our auctions, so everything to be transparent and having a report about it is the best way. Now, if the Staff Member is related to your case, then some actions can be taken online, but you still need to report it. Although, if you ask f.e. a CC, Mod, Tmod to handle a GM case, they can't. They will redirect you to forums and will inform GMs about the matter. This is off-topic. We have nothing to do with that, it is Content related. This post aims to discuss Moderation stuff only. Thank you for your kind feedback and I hope I cleared any concern.4 points

A couple of things that I thought were overreactions in your post. 1. "I legit roll my eyes until I see my brain when I see a moderator over moderating" How is this "over moderating", no warnings were issued, no mutes, etc. Just a reminder that All channel is English only. 2. "showing off that he/she can use capslock (I know, sounds childish what I'm saying, but I know you know what I am talking about)." How is the staff in the screenshot showing off? They are just capitalizing the first letter in a sentence and proper nouns, which is a perfectly normal thing to do and happens instinctively. The phrase "I know you know what I'm talking about" is so over-the-top btw. 3. "A moderator comes out of nowhere and say "Only English here, please!"" The moderator didn't "come out of nowhere", they were already in the chat and speaking. They didn't say what you said they said. You are just putting words in their mouth. 4. "Please, Açaiberry, don't take it personal. You are not the only one who does it. Also, I know you are an App and you are just doing your job. However, I just think moderating like this is unnecessary." This phrase comes off as pretentious to me, because you are not a moderator nor you have ever been a moderator but here you are talking down to the staff as if you possess more knowledge than them in this regard, when they are trained, or in the process of being trained if they are an apprentice. In my opinion, I think PRO moderation is fine but a lot of players just blatantly ignore the rules and when a moderator reminds/warns them in chat, they just ignore it then complain how the mods ban "for no reason".3 points

Big thanks to u Logan for reading , responding not to mention concerns and this thread in particular overall. Same thanks to the entire moderating staff and whole PRO team. Best of luck to u buddies. Regards . <33 points

This is literally why we are making this thread to see what our community thinks about our rules, we wouldn't have them if we didn't think they were good. We want to know which rules we can improve upon, what can be done better and such. This comment literally helps us 0%. Players are never banned for "stupid" reasons let alone for "no reason". Those claims come up a ton of times but are unfounded, find me a user that was banned without reason or with a "stupid" reason. We ban if there is evidence and a rule has been broken, nothing less than that. Random bans would quickly result in staff removal. From my experience as player I can speak very accurately about that, I don't believe I would be staff right now if we had staff members who ban over nothing or stupid reasons. You know as well as I do that you were not muted for talking about football. I checked our logs about it again, you were muted for using vulgar language after a moderator warned in chat about it just a few minutes prior. Players are not muted for random stuff and giving out inaccurate information just spreads hate towards that staff that isn't necessary. You were muted for using vulgar language after a warning was given not because you were talking about football. Examples, if you don't want to name them publicly, DM me about it. We do not tolerate any form of abuse and rigorously remove or suspend abusive staffs. Users' often claim its power abuse when in reality they did a mistake and are too proud to admit it or are simply misinformed, like you with your mute about "football". Will not happen, MAJORITY of bans are botters, realmoneytraders and cheaters. Players we do not want to see in our game, there are not that many "toxicity" permbans, actually to receive a permban for toxicity now you need an EXTENSIVE record something like 7-8-9 offenses and at that point well you kind of deserve to be banned with constantly breaking our rules. If you find me users' who were banned for toxicity in the past and they have a decent appeal, we are more than willing to unban. I gave users' more than 2 chances, I received mine and made the best out of it.3 points

Hello! As you can see by my name, im Umbreonngirl and for a while now (more like 2015) I have wanted to achieve a lot in this game. Most of these things I have done, but throughout these few years, I have very much noticed that my shiny hunting luck was not the best. Therefore, my childhood dream of catching a shiny eevee (aka evolving it into umbreon) is sadly still a dream. However this time, I have told my self "Screw it, im gonna buy one." So here I am now, as you could tell wanting to buy a shiny umbreon (or of course an eevee)! It took me a little while to collect the possible desirable money, and now I am ready to offer a negotiable 13 million. Just to show that I am determined and I will take a good care of your shiny (and of course to maybe secretly show off) here is a lil' art work I have created for this occasion. Thank you for the read, and have a nice day. Umby.2 points

The staff in my screenshot clearly said "I speak brazilian portuguese". He knew the meaning. It was an unnecessary moderation.2 points

I will only comment on this shortly and give a nuclear take on it. For all I care "te amo" could mean "fuck you". Almost everything is written in English, except a small portion of the new website therefore in all our channels the English only rule applies. There is the "Other Chat" or private chat channels where you can speak other languages but those are not heavily moderated as we do not have the manpower to moderate in every language. If there are staff members who speak the language they should moderate those channels. If a Moderator or any moderation staff can not understand what you are typing without googling it then it will not be allowed. It's English only for a reason. The apprentice did nothing wrong here neither did any other staff member who enforces this rule. If I can not understand what you are saying then it will be not be allowed. Also to address any "but that is racist" cards some might want to play, literally 75% of our moderation staff are not from primary English speaking countries yet they understand that this has to be a thing. A staff member who abuses their powers, shows any form of bias or favoritism will be sanctioned. It is not only against our own Code of Conduct but it also breaks our staff rules (we do have rules as well as a punishment policy specifically for staff members).2 points

I will quote Logan here: The Game Master Team and the Trade Moderator Team have currently struggles with activity due to real life responsibilities. Game Masters can't just be recruited out of the blue, they consist out of the most trusted and veteran staff members. Not everyone qualifies for that position. Trade Moderators (all of them are busy IRL, education related (graduations, exams etc). This is the reason why Trade reports are stacking up quite a bit (we receive hundreds of reports regarding trades), the Moderator team doesn't have this issue as we rarely receive PvP related reports and a normal size of chat reports. I personally check every appeal and every report for every staff member every 2-3 weeks in order for them being replied to in case they were missed. This process sometimes takes hours but makes the job of our staff easier. Old ones: Current one is stickied for all moderation staff to see:2 points

And something else, people ask why we can't give proof regarding bans. Do you think we will show users how we catch bots? So just show them how to bypass our ways?(Same for many other infractions) Do you think we should give informations that would leak the usernames who reported the infraction? In cases we can describe what happened, we do. We post trade logs f.e. or describe chat infractions.2 points

With all due respect to this community, they can be very demanding for things that we don't have time for. From my personal experience I disable my PMs always ever since I get spammed with stuff that simply I can not answer or are a time-consuming (time we don't have) (eg. battle requests, asking for new content, rating Pokemon etc). As I said before, it's not required for Moderators to socialize, it makes moderating go by easier for some, for others its a distraction. We will not force them to do something they are not comfortable with. In-game moderation can be very stressful and hectic, keep in mind they have to look at every chat at once and enforce rules everywhere, getting sidetracked by something can easily result in stuff being missed or overlooked. On a personal note I like to keep my distant when doing staff duties, keep my mind clear from any bias, mixing that up relations I have as a player carries sometimes negative sideeffects, such as bias accusations and such. Trade Moderators are currently slammed with work IRL, graduations, IRL things that happened and therefore we experienced quite the delay with Trade Reports. At some point non of them were active so Logan had to cover a lot. IRL comes over PRO, so slight delays may happen. Trade Reports have to be done by Trade Moderators, while everyone in the Moderator team is active, we still couldn't deal with those reports. The report reply you received is the same reply everyone else would receive, as you mentioned everything that was necesary, there was no need to ask for further evidence or ask further questions. Just this month there were over 150 Trade reports, those take time. It's not a one and done thing, those things need investigations, proper appliance of our policies and rules, especially when its regarding auctions. I am not quite sure what you are expecting from the report reply but we can not give you any details of further actions, nor can we keep you in the loop of what will happen. So what else do you expect here? Before your report come 20 others, the report has to be discussed and appropriate levels of punishment have to be applied. That on top of any further investigations. If everything was just a 5 minute job our lives would be a lot easier but this isn't the case. I again don't understand what kind of reply you are looking for here. We preach 1 hour per day and that IRL comes before PRO, which are valid statements. We are as you said yourself just volunteers and come from different parts of the world. Nobody needs to speak flawlessly English or needs to have the best punctuation but they commit their free time to help the game. Staffs go through a lengthy apprenticeship and they wouldn't be promoted if they were incompetent. Team Leaders, this is already a thing If you believe the Team Leaders were wrong an Admin comes into play If you still believe an Admin was wrong, the Senior Admin or a Dev come into play and their judgement is final I speak out of experience here, there are enough lairs of protection now to avoid those things. The trade-offs are not worth it, harassing reporters, giving away certain GM procedures nobody besides GMs and Admins know are simply to be kept confidential. You are not banned out of the blue with nothing as evidence, there are actually quite a few staffs who would be very vocal about unjustified bans, myself included. Investigation bans are applied in cases where serious harm can be done and only the user itself can answer questions about it e.g Real Money Trading, Boosting, Account Hacks etc Investigation bans do require evidence and are not done out of the blue however they are mostly done because we need the FULL picture of what is happening, we had enough to ban already but want the full picture to understand everything properly. I'll bring this idea up, sounds reasonable. :) If you have anything further to add feel free^^ I will comment on the things you said, not for you personally but for everyone else reading it. 2 years ago the rules were way stricter, you received permbans easier, policies were stricter I only remember once case where it was a mistake that was fixed. This is nothing common nor is it tolerated, those things obviously need to be backed up with any form of proof which you do not have. For us its important that we can actually see proof of any accusations otherwise everyone can just claim whatever they want, destroy reputations for no reason at all. It's actually quite sad to see this happening from our community more often than we would like to admit. The issue with a lot of people is that they are afraid of saying things, standing up for what is right in a RESPECTFUL manner. There are players who can do that like teerav but then there are players who just flat out harass, insult or defame staffs for not doing what they want. I speak out of personal experience here as I was one of the more controversial players, long punishment history and such. I felt what it meant to be targeted by staff etc. I was no saint but I also wasn't the devil. It was one of my goals as staff to create an environment where everyone can express themselves without feeling oppressed or targeted afterwards. Also if I am being completely honest and transparent here, a lot who claim they are innocent, never did anything or say they feel targeted or something are the ones who do the most offenses, break the most rules, lie the most. We are not about to public shame users' but if we could do that our community would realize some things for sure. A lot claim bias when there is no bias, some players hold grudges for weeks and months over nothing such as not accepting certain evidence. I know why you wrote those things but if you actually went into yourself and thought about your past, you would understand that certain actions are not okay. Simple, make on exception you have to accept every exception. Its for consistency purposes. I don't know the specifics but does being happy or excited give you the rights to spam? What kind of spam? There is missing context here to properly judge the situation. The easiest way is actually using /pm <username> but I believe I know what you are talking about here and this has been already addressed internally. :P We are completely separate from the Discord, we do not control it or have any influence over it. We can not offer 24/7 support regardless even if this were a thing. Reports are your best bet if no Moderator is around. As I said, 24/7 support is sadly not possible and even if staffs are on their player accounts, this doesn't mean they are now online to moderate. I speak for myself now, when I did the Manaphy quest or the Shaymin quest, I completely turned off the chat and hid it because I didn't want to see it. A staff member who is revealed has sadly to live with the "loss of peace" when they are online on their playeraccounts due to stuff like that.2 points

Good day, First of all I want to thank the people involved in opening this topic for discussion. I think it’s really important to see what the general player base has to say for feedback on how to improve this game in every aspect possible, to make it more enjoyable for everyone and just generally keep the community involved in decision making as well. After all, it is a fan-made game and keeping the fans’ ideas/concerns in high regard can really make things better from my point of view. We’re all here because we love Pokémon in the end. I feel like some of my main concerns have already been mentioned briefly so I’d like to elaborate them with a bit more depth and help explain things that go through our minds as regular players, bear with me. ^^ Felix, you’ve mentioned that moderators are not there to socialize with players in game and are only there to moderate. I feel like there’d be a lot more benefit if the community felt the staff’s presence in ways other than just punishment. Like for me personally, for a good long year of playing the game I never really saw moderators as actual people. Just the approach and way of speaking seems very unauthentic and robotic to say the very least which makes the players feel really distant. I think that’s one aspect that can really be approved. You can still be “professional” but still have some sort of affection and personality displayed at the same time. -With regards to the report system: I’m talking only from personal experience. I’ve sent in a trade report not too long ago (last Monday to be specific). I hadn’t received a reply for a few days and decided to “bump” my report and only then did I receive a reply. Not only that but the reply just seemed so completely vague, unhelpful, poorly written and -if we’re going a little overboard- triggered my "OCD" because of the poor punctuation. It just seemed like a typical “copy-paste” delayed response that if I was still a new player sending this report in, would likely encourage me not to use the report system again because we all really know how much of a hassle it is to take multiple screenshots to support your case and upload them onto the forums only to get that response. When we’re reporting something, we need to stop everything we’re doing and just focus our attention on that in hopes that we’re helping the game in any way possible. We sort of expect the same from you in return. I want to make it clear that this is not in any way meant to offend anyone because it’s not specific to last week’s incident, and I truly do understand that staff are all “volunteers” and work in their own pace/ time, but once it gets to a point where I need to bump a report that takes no less than 20 minutes of my time to send in only to get a careless response, then this is what goes through my mind and many others must feel the same: “You’re here to volunteer but you can’t make the time to look into a basic report and put in as much concern as the person sending it in has?” (This also ties to my other point as well, about being professional yet displaying some sort of human personality.) There really needs to be a competence level each staff member should meet and specific standards to be met at all times, if you’re having trouble keeping up with all this volunteering business then step down and get someone who is actually interested in helping the game and making the time for it and its players. This should apply to everyone equally. Please, don’t just be a color on the forums. This is all from a player’s perspective and this affects me as a player. We need you guys to keep this game running well! I won’t go into full details about unjust bans and punishments to be honest. I’ve been quite vocal in my appeal which I’m sure you’ve all read and I’m fed up with the topic. I just have a few suggestions that I hope might be looked into: I want to suggest that there be a part of the staff “a council or committee” specifically there to look into appeals and especially appeals of higher grade punishments such as bans just to have a third party’s unbiased perspective. I understand it’s probably protocol for the person who issued the punishment to look into the appeal but it becomes unsaid that each person will always be inclined to think they’re in the right and therefore, inclined to believe their judgment is the correct one. It’s just basic psychology. I have to agree with @Nixs about the whole evidence issue, it really makes it hard to defend yourself when you don’t exactly know the context or evidence used against you in the report. I’ve been in situations where I didn’t even remember half the things I was told. You should be able to properly defend yourself for what you’ve done. Another thing I’ve noticed is that punishments have been being issued first and investigations are conducted afterwards to see whether the punishment is right or not. “Punch First, Ask Questions While Punching” it just really doesn’t make sense at all to me. (And yes that was a LoL reference, I thought it fit quite well ^^). Last but not least and I think it might be a long shot since I have no clue about the coding involved, but I really wish I could just right click a player and select “report” :L ~Again thank you for taking the time to look into our concerns. A lot of players much like me really appreciate it and some of the recent changes have been wonderful, particularly the new auction rules/guide. Keep up the good work and stay positive. ^^ Yours truly, XanthinaRose.2 points

Hello trainers! There are several major projects for content in doing that I feel you should know about. I will note some of them down before someone leaks it the wrong way. - New Region New region is a custom approach. We call it a mini-region. But it's actually very huge. It is called Astrella, and it's done mapping wise. Region will feature a variety of spawns (gen 7 area), new content, quests, events, trade city and much more. It will be ready once script-work is done for it and once gen 7+ is fully operational, will not release it before that. Reason for a custom area is a simple one. We are unable to map anything past Unova graphic wise without having it improvised 99% and waste much time into art. The MMO setting commands a new region, so it's being delivered. With it, we will have whole game spawned with old and new Pokemon, closer to being complete. The region is currently in hands of scripters. Once they are done, I will spawn it, so you can catch some of the new Pokemon when we receive a full gen 7 update. - Unova Unova is planned and is slowly being mapped. Once it is done and ready, the whole game will be respawned from scratch due to distribution of the Pokemon around PRO world. We are also looking for mapping manpower to complete the task so that mapping side is done and ready for people to script on. - Orange Islands The Orange Islands are also being mapped and planned. Not much to say about this one. ** Note that plans may change any time. But what I said above is a current plan and it's being worked on. I want to have all mapping done before the schedule so that people can start working on the maps script wise etc. Thank you2 points

Hello everyone, Moderation is a big part of PRO ever since the game was created, it evolved over the years but the groundwork was laid years ago. We would like to ask our community how they feel about it and what their thoughts are. We (Community Coordinator Team Lead Shinohara, Moderator Team Lead Qeight and Game Master Team Lead Logan who also represents Trade Moderators) decided that its time we ask the community what they want and not go by what was laid down years ago. We want to be as transparent as possible, therefore we will not delete or "censor" anyone or anyone's opinion. No topic is off-limit here, we want you guys to have the opportunity to ask freely. The purpose of this thread is to figure out if there is something wrong with our moderation and if there is, then how we can fix it. Not everything will make sense to everyone but some stuff is just fundamentally integrated and can't be changed (anything related to cheating, anything related to harming the game, anything related to harassment are some examples that will never change). We will answer everyone to the best of our ability, explain why certain things are the way they are and whatever is needed for you guys to understand why we act the way we act. As reference you can take the following threads: PRO Rules (Chat Rules, Trade Rules, PvP Rules, Forum Rules and Game Rules) Public Punishment Policy - there is a private one for staffs that states procedures and policies How to use our in-game chats according to our chat rules. Rule explanation: "Illegitimate Rank Boosting" - How we enforce this rule for transparency sake How to make a Legitimate/Valid Auction, according to Trade Rules Our current Moderation Team has a good history of changing rules, evolving for the better and improving what we feel like wasn't working, was too harsh or what was simply wrong. We do not moderate the official Discord, Discord Moderators are not part of the staff team. They receive discord specific training and we as moderation staff do not have any influence over that. What I personally REALLY dislike was the the overall general mistreat I received from staff back when I first started playing the game when it came out around 2015, people like myself and others shouldn't be banned or disciplined to the point of hating the game just because staff members at the time where "not as good as they are now". I also really dislike the inconsistency of a majority of staff members not replying to messages that players send them when they have serious questions or concerns. My friends and I shouldn't have to wait for a week+ to get a dry reply, if any at all. I also dislike the how easy it is to get auto muted in chat, there have been numerous times when my buddies and myself on a few occasions where auto muted without warning for simply defending ourselves from toxicity that was targeted towards us in chat. Just general nonsense and incredibely biased and inconsiderate staff where the reason me and 6+ of my friends quit the game in 2015, I was the only one to come back and give it a shot. I don't feel like I am can rely on staff or mods at all when I am in a predicament, and that's JUST NOT RIGHT. You guys have this power for a reason, need I say more?. This is not to say I haven't had a good experience with staff and mods, but believe me when I tell you myself and a majority of my (friends that quit in the past) and current online friends think that not only are mods and staff just generally unreliable and borderline useless, we end up thinking any problem you find yourself in is better to be ATTEMPTED to be resolved by yourself (for example my stolen Pokemon(s) not the dusknoir which made me quit PRO) and HOPE that you don't get unlawfully punished and end up, like in myself and my friends cases, just quitting the game in general.1 point

I have 3 suggestions. 1. Regarding the rules applied in Chats. While it is true the general language of the game is English, as well as there are official channels for Spanish, French or Portuguese. Regarding the default channels I would like to add something to the Battle channel. I have always had problems in the battle channel because sometimes I speak in Spanish there sometimes. What I suggest is to add, that all players who speak in the Chat battle, they can do in their respective languages, as long as it is Pvp. Maybe a problem is moderation within this Chat, right? Of course, however there are Moderators of different languages that can take care of it. 2. Prohibition on 2 servers. I can not find any reason why a player is banned from the 2 servers. I think it should work like that. -Prohibit on the 2 servers as long as the crime committed is the use of Bots, misleading content publication, Cheats, speed hack, etc. of things of that magnitude. -And in regard to the other milder motives for which the player was prohibited, prohibit him at the server where the infraction was committed. I suggest this because one server has nothing to do with the other, they are different stories. 3. Warnings before receiving a punishment. I think that every human being makes a mistake and many times for more experience or age, he always makes a mistake and when he makes the mistake, he is blinded and acts without awareness of the risks that his action can bring. By which I suggest that the Staff should put themselves in the position of the person to whom it is forbidden and send them an announcement, mute or something to let them know they are doing something wrong. Every player deserves opportunities. So in your history have thousands of prohibitions, literally. . . This does not take away the right to receive warnings to control yourself. In short, I suggest that the Staffs warn the committer of the act of what he is doing wrong, regardless of his history of prohibitions, to calm him down, but if he remains stubborn, there should be applied a sanction. I speak of this, because I play since 2015 and for the ancients, it makes us sad to see how for one or another absurd reason our friends abandon the game, prohibition is exaggerated or unfair. Be realistic, the game is dying little by little, and if they are still so drastic in their rules. . . This game so appreciated by many, will end in oblivion as is the case of PWO. THNKS FOR UR ATENTION1 point

Shouldnt be impossible, on showdown u can reconnect as well but until u resetted ur internet or whatever the timer would run out anyways tbh. Its already broken enough how hard u can get time stalled in pvp, this would support these disgusting people even more.1 point

First of all, that was not a warn for the chat, was a warn for Starkrey, and i am surprised how you can say that was even a warn for the chat (???). I am not even familiar with this player. Okay so i said #@?%$ one time, and was not even to flame anyone and i get muted for that? Where is the warn?, can't the moderator pm me and ask my to don't say such stuff? He could talk with me, he have the right to do it -------------------------------- Everyone was in the same side defeding "Mourinho" because his team have lost a important game and most of MU fans (irl fans) was flaming him hard. Also we discussed about the best european teams, without any flame between the players, i don't know if there is any staff tool to check the chat but go for it and see. When this happened i was on discord with friends and my reaction was "Wait, i think my account is bugged" i was really surprised for getting a mute for that. But all okay the moderator apologized and i am okay with it because humans are not perfect and we all are humans. Also i have 0 problems with staffs, and i have a lot of friends on staff etc. I am one of the admins of the biggest non official pro discord "The Amigos" and i know how hard is that work, take care of whole chat, need to make own decisions if the player deserve the ban/mute or not, i am just talking about this because i don't want this happen with other players too.1 point

This is not a big deal, is just 60 seconds but still, things like this should not happen, also everyone that was talking about it got also muted, after some time the moderator apologized, i am pretty sure i got warned 0 times. I am not flaming the moderator work, just trying to show that things like this happens some times. Staff opened this thread to see community opinion about moderation and i see you defending / respond to all opinions with counterfacts, that just mean this thread is useless and will not change anything. (all good if you answer me but some people will not post on the thread because this) Also i know some people that got banned for leaving the game, just because they gave some stuff before leave (i will not name them / don't ask to do it) Most of the players gave stuff away before leave and some of them get banned for RMT(also there is any topic about how you guys ban someone for RMT?) About my suggestion, all good if don't happen, but we all know such move could help bring some hype back to the game.1 point

Personally I have played a lot of online games and PRO has the worse moderation team Ive ever seen by far. Totally unfair team. Wish I could say the opposite but truth cant be hidden. Have a nice day and I wish you accept opinions you might not like.1 point

I've seen this game and staff grow so much through out the years. The main thing that needs to change is the stigma that mods are bad people. They get a real bad stigma by the player base but tbh I can agree with some of them as I've seen some shitey work during my few years here. I've seen players banned for nothing, I've seen popular players enforce rules on the forum and complaining and getting away with it. I have seen sheer favouritism for friends and friends of friends. The team are working hard but still have a long way to go due to attitudes and egos. I hope the team gets sound advice from the players that can bridge the gap and clear the bad air the mods have gathered through the years. NOTE: A lot of the past modders and gm's broke this game and peoples trust. But I do hope you give them a chance for the new regime to regain any trust and love. With that in mind, put the past behind you and lets make this game a lot better for all of us. Don't be a dick, be nice!1 point

I am so far super happy with PRO's moderation (and the help I've been given. Special mention to trade moderators in forums, Qeight and Artorias who have helped me a few times already in forums), and I have 0 concerns with it so I'll go straight to the point here: My only real concern and BIG issue is invite, trade, and chat spam. I understand 100% that we can use /ignore, and that we have to use /ignore and simply move on. However, this does not solve the problem AT ALL. I have either 2 fixes for this: Either begging for stuff nonstop in dms is bannable, spamming invites and trade requests is also bannable, or /ignore an user becomes permanent and an ignore list where you can edit the list is created. Because mother of god does it get annoying. There was a situation where there was a guy in Saffron city who would absurdly spam invites to EVERYONE who entered the pokecenter, and trade requests nonstop. If you accepted, he would dm you instantly and start begging. I thought I was the only one to receive them until more than one user dm'd me in discord days later SHOWING SCREENSHOTS PROVING THE GUY WAS STILL THERE BEGGING. I bursted laughing, but at the same time, I felt incredibly frustrated. I am aware of the ignore solution and turning off DMs, but: /ignore only lasts until you log out (and then you have to stand the same guys over and over again, same goes for misbehaving people in all chat who stir up controversy and then have to be reported in forums, which I will start doing a LOT if they go at it again), and I should not have to turn off my dms and thus be blocked from speaking to my Alliance of guilds (with 300+ active members in different timezones), be unable to talk to my friends, be unable to talk with random users to help them out in private chats... Even talking to staff then gets impossible to me (hi Giorgio stalking me ingame you smelly fish >:V also hi Magicguard and Epiales) and I'm friends with some, I feel bad if I have to turn off my dms because some users simply won't stop spamming. Just make it punishable or bannable, it's absurdly annoying. I'll understand if this does not change, but it kills my mental sanity when I'm spammed nonstop. Ty for reading this :)1 point

"Simple" was just an expression used, it wasn't mean that your examples were complicated or anything ^^ It was more like "That is very simple to explain why we do this"1 point

Staff members need special permissions that require a new account, new name, new ingame identity. Its for the staffs own good that they are hidden and not known for a few months before they reveal. I am not sure if I understand you correctly so can you maybe rephrase it if this isn't the answer you were looking for. PvP Council is an undecided thing however if it were to happen the council members can have a punishment history (outside of boosting offenses) as long as they can keep a civil discussion and are not toxic. On an English level that is understandable for everyone of course. Not everything is taken serious however we have to keep a certain level of professionalism. It certainly would be a much appreciated feature and was suggested a ton of times, its up to Devs though and their time/priority working list. For weeks now we have one active Community Coordinator who pulls in 10-15 hours per day alone just with forum and in-game stuff. Community Coordinator are exactly that and quite honestly majority of staff will help you or redirect you to the place where you can get help. Community Coordinators are not working on reports at all, they are the bridge between the community and staff however they have certain abilities to sanction users if necessary but its not their main duty. Too many warnings, mutes, bans. It was uncomfortable to moderate for the community as well as for some staff members. The change in itself wasn't necessary but I believe it was for the better. It's not like "rate x pokemon" matters in any chat, it's meaningless in 999/1000 cases as they are just searching for gratification about their Pokemon. It's the same in every chat, rating questions are meaningless but our community for some reason values them. If it were up to me I would ban it entirely as its just meaningless but I believe players should be able to ask whatever they want whereever they want without being too heavily restricted.1 point

It's funny that you are bringing this up as we had this discussion the other with moderation staff. Moderators in particular are trained to moderate, they are not trained to have all the game knowledge like a CC for example. Their main duty when logging into the game with their staff account is to moderate the chats, it is up to them if they want to engage in conversations or not. For me personally I engage when I feel like it or like the subject, have something to say. We are not there to socialize with our staff accounts. Some staffs see this differently but in the end we can't force anyone to have conversations about very banal things just because players want to talk to a staff member. A lot of community members have a ton of knowledge about the game or even new content after it was released, Moderators for example often times do not have the time to play or know everything about it. I can obviously only speak for my team but we all are rather quiet while enforcing the rules, some talk, some talk when they feel like it. I'll bring this subject up again within moderation channels.1 point

It's nothing about the rules but a request for the moderators to reply more/they talk more with us(all chat) except just looking at their screen that everything is all right so we will be able to interact directly to the staff of PRO from the game. Players active in all chat normally discuss about pokes or maybe what we want from the game so if the MOD who is online and keeping an eye on general chat and keep replying and give us some satisfactory answers (maybe Not eta is enough ) or they support the players idea like ya Z Moves should be added these things I guess will make communication system more fun for players as well as mods(I think) Thank you for reading ^-^1 point

If you give us the exact dates the screenshots were taken then it can be used as supporting evidence however if you claim all of those were from yesterday and it comes out those were from 2 months ago you will see yourself in trouble. Chat reports should be done within a few days. If a user is repeating the same offense over and over again the punishment will increase obviously. I posted that in another thread: We are trained to collect as much evidence as possible, ask for more evidence when we believe the evidence wasn't the full story (example if the the private message is scrolled down to show just a certain aspect). The context does matter but we often times find ourselves having evidence of rule breaking offenses and those have to be punished regardless of circumstances. Lets make up a scenario, User A insults User B, User B insults back. User A screenshots how User B insults them. User A reports it, we would ask about the context/backstory and for more evidence. User A doesn't provide anything but User B still did break our rules by insulting User A. We have to take actions regardless if and we actually hope for that, User B has taken screenshots of how User A insulted first, User B would in most cases be unbanned and severe sanctions would be issued against the user who provided half the story.1 point

Just to straight jump into this, you are only instantly muted for heavy insults, slurs and such. You can always expect to have a warning in Chat before you get muted. It is staff depending whether or not if they want to warn you directly or warn the chat however it makes not a whole lot of sense to warn everyone for everything. If there is a warning in chat about swearing just two minutes prior and you start to swear, it wouldn't be logical to warn you here. Apprentice are staff in training so they obviously will get something wrong from time to time that's why they are training. It comes with experience to issue quality warnings and fair mutes however the current Apprentice are doing a good job about it. You are not instantly muted for 1-5 minutes, there is a strict procedure in place when you get muted and for how long you get muted. By now its no secret that the first mute is always 60 seconds, the next one 120 seconds, the third one 300 seconds and after that you will be quiet-banned. It is obvious that after the 4 time breaking the rules that you are not getting it so a quiet-ban would be issued. This is actually very rare in my experience (in my almost 10 months now and over 300 hours in-game moderation, I muted maybe 40 times for 300 seconds and not even half of those resulted in quiet-bans). You are never banned for "no reason", a staff member who bans or mutes for "no reason" will be removed rather quickly (hasn't happened in my time as staff yet). There is a different definition for everyone, some think its okay to discuss murdering people with axes in a kids game, some think its okay to talk about sexual things in chat in a kids game but our stance on that is very clear that we do not allow such subjects. I don't know the specifics of what you are talking about but in a nutshell we avoid sensitive subjects as much as possible. Complaints in general are dealt with in the Complaint Area just for the sole purpose of explaining everything in detail, in about 90% of those cases the users' end up realizing that they were wrong or just didn't properly understand why they were muted or why certain rules were enforced the way they were.1 point
