  1. Hello there, This thread is a continuation of the first thread that was written by Adam a year ago summarizing most of the moves/abilities that were not coded as well as other potential beneficial changes for the PVP : https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/100844-url We were happy to see some of the suggestions were taken in account by Eaty and the whole staff team and eventually coded/fixed. Here, i'm going to summarize again the maximum amount of moves, abilities, and PvP related stuff that still need to be coded/fixed for the PvP to be finally the one we've always dreamt of ! I'll also take in account those mentionned in last year's thread that weren't possible to code/fix at the time or not coded in italic. So here are my suggestions, those i think are important for this game's PVP (can be updated). Need to be coded / fixed Moves : Substitute (as previously said one of the most essential move in Pokemon strategy) Healing Wish U-turn / Volt Switch : We need to be able to choose our switch after the attack triggered U-turn / Volt Switch : We should be able to use Volt Switch / U-turn even when all our other pokemons are dead, whilst we can't Fly and Bounce : Bugged, they completly ignore moves like Protect, Destiny Bond and simply go through like it's nothing Softboiled, Roost, Recover, Slack Off : Doesn't let you use the move and heal yourself when the opponent switches to a Pokemon who dies to Stealth Rock or any entry hazard on the switch [spoiler=Video Evidence] Taunt : When a Pokemon is under the Taunt effect, he shouldn't be able to use his moves that aren't attacks even if it writes "But it failed", he should be forced to use only Attacking moves instead Stomping Tantrum : The move should get boosted by x2 BP when the user's last move failed as it works in the official games [spoiler=Video Evidence] Recycle Abilities : Imposter (Ditto's Signature ability, very useful pokemon in PVP) Gluttony (can be quite useful in the future alongside gen 7 berries) Illusion (Zoroark's Signature ability, makes the mon completly useless without it) Flash Fire : Should boost Fire moves BP by x1.5 when hit by a fire move instead of only absorbing the attack Other important changes/upgrades : A forfeit option/button (this is more like a suggestion, doesn't really have to do with anything coded wrongly) Having the information about the number of turns left of Rain/Sun/Sand/Screens on the screen like on Showdown Having the possibility to get at least 2 versions of the same Legendary Pokemon for a different set/nature (again, this is only a suggestion that, in my opinion, could really benefit the versatility of the PVP, but it doesn't have anything to do with coding) Items : Red Card / Eject Button : intersting items to have in PvP, can bring more diversity and creative sets Figy, Iapapa, and the rest of the berries that aren't ingame : very useful berries in PvP, brings again more diversity to the sets and can really help some Pokemons (at least for the 2 first ones) Air Balloon : Pops when hit by a fire move on Heatran, whilst it shouldn't, and probably the same for other 'absorbing' Abilities So these are my suggestions for the current PvP system in PRO, i know the Staff Team and its developers are already working on that matter but i thought it would be a good idea to summarize everything again after a year in order to help them and to possibily get new PvP stuff coded just like last year's thread helped in that process. I also know a big PvP update is currently being worked on, but i feel like some of these bugs/moves/abilites/changes could or should be fixed and added beforehand and as fast as possible, considering the importance of many of these previous points in the current PvP system. If anyone feels i've forgotten something or has anything to say about the thread, feel free to comment ! Yours truly.

  2. First off, I'd like to share my total excavation points as a way to solidify the weight of my points I'm going to make. I've been doing lots of excavations and I believe that I have an understanding of what makes excavation fun and exciting. I know that there are obviously a handful of players that have done more excavations than me, but I'm very sure that there are very few with as many points as me or more. To start off, when I saw the announcement about updated excavation sites, I really liked it. I've felt for a long time that excavation needs an update to appeal to the mass, and obviously any new content is going to make people try out the the excavation sites for a little while when the update is fresh. It might recruit a few more hardcore excavators, but in the long run, excavations is definitely going to be more of a boring grind than it already was. The old problems with excavations that will still remain: (in my opinion) 1. Vendor trash (previously only rare bones) like pearls, small mushrooms, rare bones etc doesn't make sense to me. It kind of defeats the purpose paying to enter the excavation site. Solution: It would simply be better to put this value into the quality of the pokemon that spawn in the site. 2. (Not sure if this is going to be true) The pokemon spawns are very stale. After months and months you're just going to encounter the same pokemon time after time, this is something that creates excavation burnout. Solution: Have regular small updates with a frequency of about 1-3 months, with just a couple of changes in excavation spawns. Keep a pool of pokemon for each site, enough to rotate around. Keep the changes small and frequent. I'm thinking in the range of 1 pokemon change for another in the same rarity tier per site per small update. Have just a few site defining pokemon stay permanent. 3. Progress in excavation rank. Previously after you reached 6k you had everything unlocked and only needed to grind 2k more for the tomb raider rank (which in my opinion is worse than paleontologist, but that's another issue). Now that cap is increased to 10k with entry of dragonic site, but problem remains the same. After you reach 10k you basically unlocked everything and doing sites with 30k is the exact same thing as doing sites with 10k despite the 30k one thematically being a much more experienced excavator (btw if you didnt do lots of excavations, points gains are really slow after you reach the cap of content). Solution: Add some kind of reward or incentive for excavating, either by points or by regularity. This is going to make people who already enjoy excavating a lot enjoy it more and might make people who previously didn't like excavating feel more satisfied with excavating. 4. The artifact point shop. There is simply one item that's the most cost efficient and I'm always going to spend all my artifact points on that one, the addition of new gems might contend the list, but ultimately it will probably just decrease value of gems and we then go back to purchasing the most cost efficient item again. The new pvp items and evo items are not even close in cost efficiency, and i play on gold. This problem is even worse in silver from what I've heard about prices. Solution: Buff/nerf prices in the artifact shop. You kind of need someone experienced in trades on both silver and gold to make the balancing right. My opinion is that the prices should be balanced between an average of gold/silver balance so that even if a few items will be more worth than others in efficiency, the best items will not be several times more cost efficient than the worst items. Now for the new problems i think came with the update and my opinion why it was an overall disappointment: 5. The balance between spawns. Previously we would be quite likely to get one of the rarest spawns per map excavated. The probabilities have been changed for the worse with the new patch. I can agree that old excavation was kind of overpowered, it yielded lost of money from encounters if you had 6k+ points, but even then not a lot of people were doing excavations. This is obviously something I might have been very unlucky with, sampling only from 2 days of excavation sites, but from what i can tell, there has been a huge nerf to rare encounters. This is going to make people burn out from excavations very fast. I see this issue as an opportunity to mix with the solution for (1) and (4). Giving people with high amounts of excavation points an opportunity to pay more for entry that gives better chance for high tier spawns is not something I would be opposed to. 6. While Dragonic site is really nice designed, it is huge and lacks a clear path to walk it. I've been forced to enter in staffview 1. I understand that you want to make the map the most prestigious one, but I believe that removing the one way direction passages in the start and end would at least make this site a little bit nicer to walk through. Being forced to take one of the paths on the way in and the other one on the way out just feels bad. 7. Some of the pokemon are put into the wrong spawn tiers imo. With lots of people doing excavations, Heracross being the worst offender. A previously t8/9 pokemon spawns lots and lots in historical site, this is going to decrease value a lot of heracross. I salute all owners of epic heracross that's getting their value decreased in this very moment with an f f Also Mantyke is too common imo. This concludes my current thoughts about the new state about excavation. I might have more points I'd like to add later but this is it for now. If any staff member wants to contact me in private with intention to make improvements for excavation sites, you're very welcome to contact me either here on forum or on discord! I'd be very happy to help you.

  4. Ignore grammar etc^^ I'm speaking of all the players in PRO that it would be a good idea to update the "PC Pokemon Storage" in the Pokemon Center. There are many features missing where everybody can benefit from. I'll list 4 features that should be added down below to make life easier in the PRO community. 1. Why don't we have a filter like in the Bagpack, where you can only write several letters to get a result? Here is a screenshot what I mean if you don't understand: [spoiler=example] And in the Pokemon Storage you need to write the whole Pokemon name to find what you want. It can be difficult because I was "raised" with German Pokemon names and sometimes it's annoying to write the whole name of it where there could be a feature to write several letters and you get the Pokemon to see in the storage. Other people probably have the same problems sometimes if they were raised with other languages. (representing French and Brazilians here, because there a many of them). 2. Another feature that could be added is a "region filter" For example, a (new) player who would like to buy a region based pokemon. In this example: Sinnoh. It's easier and faster for the seller to find a Pokemon with that specific region because many players have tons of boxes and they get lost in it. 3. There is something that's missing too. A "level filter". It's the same idea like the "region filter". It's more elegant to type "100" in that filter then searching for your whole storage for these lvl 100s. I'm not speaking of the pokedex slot #100 which would appear when you write it down there. A different slot should be added then only for "lvl filter"? [spoiler=example] 4. Last but not least, you can't move your Pokemons in your storage. You firstly have to drag it out in your inventory and then swap those Pokemons in that specific area of the boxes where you want them. Why can't we just move them around in the storage? It would be more beneficial for all of us. Here is what I mean: What do u guys think about these suggestions for PRO? Comment your opinion about it if you want to.

  5. Agreed and truly support. Who wouldn't appreciate such things or wish to have them anyway? Also it's great seeing that veterans already commented about supporting it. Thanks for all the efforts. And hoping for implementations.

  8. I'm tired of seeing minor updates who doesn't change nothing during those years. Stop focusing on trying to do more regions and shit, just fix all things that already exist and don't work well, 5 years passed and the game has the same problems as before, damn, just try to fix all things that don't work properly instead of doing more regions and stories who anyways gonna look as being made by some amateurs. Have you ever listened 'quality over quantity'? There's no life in the server, just make only 1 server, we're not in the 2000+ players days anymore, youre not gonna attract new players if they see that the game is dead. Make things to people interact with each other, stop focusing on non-sense things that not gonna attract new players. Doesn't matter if a player at first sight will be attracted by those 4 regions if then he starts playing and he isn't having fun. Improve the damn PVP, 5 years later and you still making the same mistakes. We are still without the move substitute coded, without megaevos, without z-moves.. and many more. And what happens? We have a meta who benefits Stall, and if you're smart enough PRO staff, you'll know that the vast majority of players came here to have a good time, not to have 40 minute battles where a couple of 15yo kids who have all the time in the world try to exploit the system to be the best of their bedrooms. Just fix the timer, put a forfeit button without penalties, improve the existing stories, improve that crappy box system, make events to awake the server like tournaments or things like that where players interact with each other, find competent mods who know how to handle situations (because muting someone for saying 'shit' when is already censored or showing your shiny Greninja with 32x6 ivs isn't doing your job right, it only makes the game look amateurish). if you put the same interest in improving the game than in chasing those who try to sell their accounts... even that you're doing it wrong and scarying new players. I can say a lot more things but I'm gonna stop here because honestly, at this point, I don't expect nothing about a staff who ran out of ideas and try to create another game like pokeone, who's gonna fail for the same thing that this game gonna die, staff doesn't understand that's better do a couple things very good than a thousand mediocrish.

  11. I have roughly 15k exca points, and since the update I don't have the same concerns as you do, in fact my only issue and has been for awhile is the Shiny Rocks. Personally I think those rocks should always give something good and never Artifiact points or nothing. Other than the HA Epic Cyndaquill I got recently and a rotom before the update I can't recall getting anything good from them in all my time playing this game, and that's sad...they just feel like any other regular rock. That should make exca a little more exciting.

  14. You have to be more careful next times you auction a pokemon. The auction must end on its exact time. However, your honesty is appreciated for this time. Also I have to mention that the pokemon is now held by its fair winner. Good luck.

  19. Nice perspective from another viewpoint, just a side note on why 5 and 7 do not contradict each other entirely. I think an image will describe it better, don't mind the balance between them as these bars do not represent statistics, but focus on the principle I'm trying to explain. Lets imagine this is the current situation, with 5 distinct rarity tiers (which there is not, it's just to demonstrate the point) [spoiler=Image 1] what i would like to see is [spoiler=Image 2] where the red bars represent the loss of probability, green bars represent the gain in probability and the blue lines representing the new probabilities In the case of heracross (and others) i believe they belong in another rarity tier than they're currently at and i would like to see something in the lines of this [spoiler=Image 3] I hope this explains the situation more clearly

  20. As a Quote "NOOB" at Excavations only having around 1.7k of them i would like to put my two cents into this. first thing first i would like to point out jb has over 20mil With your first point on useless money items in favor of Better/Rare spawn rate chances i would like say people with anything under 2mil like these items. They bring a Risk Vs Reward aspect to the sites, you will usually make your money back if you hit up all of them and even more so it rewards those who take their time to do them. Thus rewarding those who aren't filthy rich The second point highlighting the Staleness of the Pokemon, I cant say much. I haven't did that many Excavations to make it stale for me. But i would think with the most recent update to them with the extra rare spawns and some low tier spawns it would become more interesting. Not much to talk about with this cause it comes with experience. The third point describes No real reward for achievers. This is a easy fix in being decreasing the amount of "NOTHING" spawns you get after a certain threshold. Maybe add a milestone points like at 5k excavations you see a little less. then 7.5k and so on. I don't really see a reason why this isn't already in the game since the nothing spawns usually only help the players who are just getting into Excavations by giving extra points. And with the rewards of being able to sync fossils without a limiter is kinda of the best reward for getting a lot of excavations. The Fourth point i cant really comment on. Since I'm still so low on excavation points i don't really have enough to purchase anything useful. With the Fifth point being the same as my fourth. Cant really comment. I don't have enough points to get those spawns. But if i had to guess it would be because of the new added spawns making the other spawns feel like their more rare. Since adding something to a spawn zone will decrease the Percentage of all the Spawns in that area. A "plausible" fix to this would be adding another site. Maybe a underwater site like a underwater sunken ship site. To add spawns to. The east side of Hoenn is barren of sites to my knowledge. The six point I'm just going to skip for obvious reasons. With the Seventh point contradicting the fifth i believe. Of Jb wanting higher tier Pokemon more frequently. If that is the case of Heracross being lowered on the spawn tier list i don't really see a downside. I'm pretty experienced in the game of PVP (not trying to say i know every single mon that plays) But i rarely see heracross in pvp making any big strides in viability besides very niche cases. So it being lower on the spawn rate list is only adapting to the Meta i believe. The prices might go down but thats just the way the market works. I would like to clarify im not attacking JB's Fixes im just trying to look at it from another angle. Hes my guildy and fellow officer. Just saying his Richness might be clouding his judgement on some of these points.

  27. So this is my first post here. I just wanted to put my feet out to test the waters. My name is Ronin and I am brand new to PRO (and forums). I joined the Discord as well. First off, this game is awesome! It's clean, updated graphics and gameplay make it brand new all over again! :) I just got to Cerulean City and am currently taking on Nugget Bridge. Gotta level my Budew!! The only bad thing that I've run into is the server issues. I keep getting kicked and can't relog. I'm not sure if there is an update or something being patched or whatever (again, new)? But, even with that, the game is great! :D Are there any guides specifically for the PRO version of the game (non PVP-not ready for that yet)? I would like to know what's available to do within PRO to get everything out of it that I can. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Again, thank you for creating this wonderful gaming experience for me and many, many others!

  28. You should have - 1 pokemon to set up ( toxic, toxic spike, spikes, stealth rock) - 1 defend wall ( tank pokemon for taking physical damage) - 1 special defense wall ( tank pokemon for taking special attack damages ) - 1 physical sweeper - 1 special sweeper But in generally, look at your team's weakness see what pokemon u may need for back up / counter
