Crazy this thread has been going almost 2 years in in that time we've seen next to no improvement. Hopefully something that is looked at soon.

"but what about us" mentality. Staff volunteer and put hours every day to keep this game running. For this they deserve reward. Top PvPers do hundreds of battles every season and then once laddering need to compete on a tourney against other ladder players before they get any sort of worthwhile reward. This is also deserved. "I PvP sometimes and I farm sometimes" isn't an accomplishment and doesn't deserve recognition nor reward. Short and simple, no.

I kinda understand where you're coming from, I lost a few games to someone from Empire the other day and first think thought after was "hahahaha fuck that's me getting exposed on YouTube" but tbh as someone that created content in the past, I don't think it's that deep. Not once did I post a video with the intent to put my opponent down or embarrass them, it's just for entertainment. The only advantage I can see from this would be that some guilds log team info and so showing your username means some people might get the advantage of knowing your sets. This removes that but I'm not sure it's that big of an issue that it needs changing. Also personal it fuels me to play better when I'm against someone who's name I know from a "rival" guild and that competitiveness would deteriorate massively if each match I was against "opponent trainer".

Agree with the concept but definitely not the monthly voting. I think potentially opening up the contributor role for active contributors in game could be an option. If you YouTube, you contribute. If you stream, you contribute. If you wiki, you contribute. If you dmod, you contribute. I don't see how always being active in help chat assisting players wouldn't also be seen as a contribution. I'm not sure how this would work for someone who "keeps all chat alive" as this is purely social and so less of a contribution in my eyes. But each day that goes past where I don't have to see *Drama Flexes <Steelix>* in all chat is a good one.

Good read! Although I disagree on silver that we have a top 3 guilds set in stone that will get it every time. We tried really hard last month to get top 3 and that position was in doubt every step of the way. I think 6 guilds on silver finished with 10000+ rating, and a guild like Trinity that had dominated previous seasons missed out on top 3. However I can see from your screenshot about gold server that your point is very much valid there. The reward of guild island is very underwhelming in return for the month of grinding to get top 3. There's an average boss, and some spawns that have better spots/repel tricks elsewhere. Whenever I log on there's maybe 2/3 other people on guild island. This is partially due to the spawn set this month being awful (Rain spawns 2 months out of last 3 is a joke) and nobody wanting to hunt anything there. I think the concept of a area for top 3 PvP guilds is a good idea, but guild island is a poor execution, and far from the original concept. Also as someone that spent years in a non PvP oriented guild, knowing I can't access PvE content because my guild isn't a top PvP guild is annoying, and it seems very backwards that you're rewarded with PvE (a boss, hunting spots) for being competitive in PvP.

+1 also, but I've talked to walross about this and he isn't wrong about how it isn't much more effort to get a sync of the right level and then we'd be following the official games. So although frustrating, I understand the change. It should have been like this to begin with though, not have it easier and then randomly decide to change it.

I think the idea is solid, I know other games do "starter packs" which give a few in game items to help players get started, at a discounted price. I agree these items should be untradeable and should only be purchasable once. Just don't think the pricing in your example works. If it's supposed to be a discounted bundle, then the price should be low. Say 50c for 1x land mount and 1x surf mount. Or 100c for the mounts + membership. In general though I like the idea and I'm surprised something like this hasn't been implemented already.
