+1, there should be a tooltip or log in message like the Ladder Boost one.

-1. As explained above, the Ditto Copy will still be extremely frail and you should know to play around Ditto copying your Mega/Setup Sweeper/Sweeper. It is also a cool tool you can add to any team. I think it works perfectly as a gimmick.

I would say -1 to this, unless the Nature Reroll Ticket was sold by an NPC, this item would be untradable and once you use this item onto a pokemon, the pokemon becomes untradable. It should also be extremely expensive. Otherwise no, it would completely break the market that we would only hunt for high IV, then just afford a Nature Reroll and resell the pokemon.

[Keita's Diary] A short self reflection about the game from Keita
Bhimoso replied to Keita's topic in General Game Talk
I completely and wholeheartedly agree that the PvP run economy is a complete pain and, in my opinion, one of the most toxic factors for PRO. It is extremely sad to see people rate any pokemon ingame as "garbage" if it's not perfect for PvP, if it's only PvEable or fit there. Let's put a few examples. A newbie finds a Timid 30 Speed Gastly with 20+ IV in all other stats. What answers does he get ingame? -Garbage, trash it -Not 31 IV in Speed, useless -Trash that, 5k for Dex But in reality, the pokemon is still amazing. Remember there is no breeding here. We can't just have perfect IVs here. In the long term, where luck and probabilities apply properly (because in the short term you could be extremely lucky and get your 31 SPEED Gastly in 2 catches, or not get it in 50), you would get 1 in 31 Gastly with 31 speed IV, 1 in 2 with the right nature, and 1 in 20 with also 20 or above SPATK IV. This Gastly will still be a monster in PvE content. Yet what does a newbie get from this info ingame? If you don't get the right pokemon with right IV, nature, etc, people ingame will not bother giving him the full explanation. You'd have to find the right people that would go further and tell him "hey, this will not work for PvP, as it's a tier 1 that everyone farms and you will lose a lot of speed ties. However, you can use it for PvE, Story, Bosses and more! keep it up!". I believe a lot of UU, RU, and less used pokemon would benefit from having their spawns changed or made easier. Why is Shinx a tier 7 in Sinnoh? Why not a Tier 3 or 4 everywhere? It's not a very good pokemon, but not useless either, many people like it. It has no reason to be this rare. It wasn't in the original games, either. There's many more that thanks to Qeight's updated thread we could move together and fix by suggesting that many poorly loved pokemon get better spawns. There are some that will inevitably stay rare (like Chikorita, who's gonna hunt that?) because they're starters or really rare pokemon to obtain in the original games too, and some of that spirit has been kept, but I'd love to see less loved pokemon get some attention. It also saddens me that people directly head into the Lategame and don't bother playing Pokemon the way it used to be, even on an MMO: train, use whatever the hell you want and have fun with it. A guildmate in Silver kept winning with his Raichu, even when everyone else called it trash. Why? Because he kept improving, he kept going and trying. Actually because he got lucky with Static paralysis every single game, but you get what I mean. I myself train meme mons. I train Unown, Girafarig, Stantler, Lumineon, pokemon that nobody will sell or ever use. Meme pokemon that if you saw in PvP, you'd be like "wtf is that, a Digimon?". I have a collection of meme mons that I'd love to use in Ranked PvP. But if I ever (because I barely do) get in ranked PvP, 95-97%+ of the matches you'll find the same high list of pokemon. Whether we'd like it or not, Ranked PvP is to win, and only the best and most useful pokemon will be played, will indirectly rule the economy in this MMO, unless we somehow manage to revive or make lower tiers (Thank Walross for the Random Battles, it'll be a fresh air breath), we will never see Samurotts, Meganiums, Unfezants and so on. Even there they'll be rare, but they will not be laughed at anymore, but seen as fun options. I can also heavily agree on the event part. If the event is not worth their time, will they take part in it? I was incredibly happy when I did a birthday event in PRO, as I wanted to celebrate it with my guildmates (and part of the whole Gold server joined for a Hide and Seek in ALL regions, it was incredibly fun to see). I loved it. I realised though that maybe some would've stayed until the end if they had been gifted better pokemon or better items. Sometimes it feels a bit empty inside if you don't automatically reward players with big rewards that can compare to their PVP Pokemon hunts or their big pokemon EXP farming they're going to have to delay just to join your event. To end, I also agree that us, the 4 account abusers, have sadly created an issue with PvE quests now. Staff seems not to be able to balance these properly as they now have to calculate that these can be exploited heavily, as some quests would be done 4 times in Gold and 4 in Silver for massive rewards. I think there is no real solution to the problem than looking to nerf or modify what these rewards will be in future quests. It's sad, but as years have now gone on, there's rarely any other choice or way to go around it. It is a bit sad that most PvE rewarding quests fall off compared to spamming the same Boss Team in 50 different bosses because people will only look to maximise gains such as Pokedollars or PvP Items, but I guess it's an MMO after all where most people will tryhard and obtain the full benefits. I can understand both sides, to be honest. It is inevitable that people will exploit the most high reward low effort possible mechanisms in the game. I'm just happy that this game exists, despite its flaws, and I hope I can continue creating content, helping and dedicating some of my free time for many more years. -
Welcome to the Frequently Asked Story Questions Manual! This manual is specifically made for Help chat helpers, Discord Moderators and anyone who is constantly helping in General Support or ingame or in Discord. This guide/manual aims to answer almost all possible story questions unrelated to specific pokemon, pvp stuff, bosses, or anything too in-depth. This guide just answers most Story questions that are repeated nonstop throughout Discord and Ingame. With this handbook, you should be able to help out any newbie! We don't tackle mechanics here, this will be tackled on in other guides. This is the last part this guide will be divided in. This guide will try to cover Story related questions that are commonly asked nonstop everywhere. Here we will tackle the Sinnoh Region, the last one! I will be editing this with possible new questions that may arise in the future. (like Missions and other optional stuff) Let’s begin! How do I access Sinnoh? You can follow a guide on how to access Sinnoh here. What should I carry to Hoenn? To Hoenn, you should carry healing items, many TMS and other misc items you may use (like Smoke Balls, type enhancing items like the Plates, etc). If possible, carry a few TM Toxic and TM Dig. You will do the Geodude thing again as you might’ve done with Deoxys and Slaking in Hoenn. I recommend these: Chimchar: Dig, Rock Smash, Shadow Claw, Flamethrower, Brick Break TM. Piplup: Ice Beam, Surf, Toxic. Turtwig: (Are you seriously gonna use this thing?) Dig, and any other TM you may find. Which are the Sinnoh Starters? The Sinnoh Starters are: Chimchar: MONKE. Basically Torchic but improved without a Megaevolution. Mixed attacker with a nice movepool! This is also a great HM Slave. You should totally aim to train this guy. This is the best starter. Fire/Fighting when fully evolved! Piplup: A really cute, tanky and good offensive Water Type starter. When fully evolved it becomes a Water/Steel type. It learns decent moves and it’s overall a solid choice for Sinnoh. Turtwig: Remember Chikorita? Yeah, this guy is almost as garbage as Chikorita is. However, Turtwig’s fully evolved form, Torterra, can actually be an insane force against bosses. In story though, Turtwig is terrible. He’s a very tanky but slow attacker, but it’s fine. The three starters in Sinnoh are usable! Choose whichever you want! I can’t leave the starting town! Enter Barry’s House (your rival’s house). You need to talk to his mom and the rival. I can’t leave Route 201! First you need to go to the Lake with your Rival. Talk to the mysterious dude there and go to Sandgem. I can’t go to Route 202! Enter Sandgem Town’s Laboratory and talk to the Professor. Then, go back to the starting town and speak to your mom. You’ll be able to access it. Where do I find the abandoned pokemon in Jubilife? It’s at the bottom left corner. I can’t leave Jubilife! Visit the school first. Defeat the 4 trainers spread around Jubilife City (they’re all four students from the school). You’ll be able to progress to the Eastern Route afterwards. Where is Roark in Oreburgh? I don’t see him. He’s in Oreburgh Mine, in the southeast inside of the city. Enter it, explore it and talk to him to be able to challenge him in the Gym. How do I defeat Roark? His Cranidos stomps me! The Rock Type gym leader (wow, what a surprise, the first gym is a Rock Type gym! Said no one ever.) has a very strong Cranidos. You can fight him with Ground types, Water types, Grass types and Fighting types. Makuhita is an easy counter to him and it can be farmed in Oreburgh Gate. Even Hariyama spawns there! Where do I get Rock Smash in Sinnoh? You can purchase it in a house in Oreburgh Town. Where do we head now? Who is this Galaxy Team? You need to go back to Jubilife City. Now, try to head north. You will be blocked by this region’s evil team and you will have to defeat a few grunts! I can't enter Valley Windworks. How can I enter it? When you reach Floaroma Town, you will see a few Galaxy Grunts. Go to the east and talk to the little girl next to the bridge. Head back to Floaroma and go to the northwest, to the Flower Field. Beat the grunts there. Go back to the east of Floaroma Town and enter Valley Windworks. Talk to the Grunt and unlock the door, beat the grunts inside and prepare to fight the Galaxy Elite! Her Purugly sweeps me, how can I win? Use a Fighting type against her. She is very weak to them. Makuhita will help you here! What is this Pokemon Mansion in Eterna Forest? In the original games, you obtained Rotom here. Here it’s just a sidequest spot. Ignore it for now. I can't enter the gym. What do I have to do? You need to head to the north in Eterna. You need to enter the big building and fight the grunts there. You must defeat them all. Fight their leader at the top and rescue all the pokemon. To rescue them, you need to interact with all of the pokemon that can be found inside of the building. How do I beat her Skuntank? Her Skuntank is only weak to Ground type attacks. Geodudes will do the job, as they are easily huntable in Oreburgh. How does this gym work? What types do they use? Is there an order we need to fight the trainers in? This gym has five trainers. You must defeat them in the correct order to be able to fight the Gym Leader. If you don’t fight the correct trainer, the next one will not spawn. This gym is the Grass Type gym. It is very weak to Bug, Flying, Ice and Fire type attacks. This gym is a complete pushover! You will easily beat it with any of these type pokemon. How do I go to the next gym now? What route do I need to go to? You need to 100% have a bike here. If you don’t have one, you will have to purchase one in Eterna City. You need to head south through the Bike Route (206) and then head southeast to 207 until you cross Mt Coronet horizontally and reach Hearthorne City. This Onix is blocking my path in Mt Coronet! Am I going the right way? Did you literally ignore the last question? You need to head SOUTH from Eterna City to progress. The Onix is there to prevent you from skipping over two gyms in story. Do I have to fight the Rival to head to Solaceon? Yes. He’s easy to fight, so don’t put up any excuses! What do I do in Solaceon? What’s this Reporter? The Reporter quest is a lategame quest. This does not concern you now, but it’s one of the best daily quests in the lategame. Come back after you complete Story! What are these Psyducks north of Solaceon? PLOT CONVENIENCE. They are there to prevent you from skipping two gyms. Head east to Veilstone City. What are these grunts doing in Veilstone? The Grunts in this region have set their base in Veilstone City. You’ll visit this later. What type is the Veilstone gym? How can we get the secret scrolls? The Fighting Type gym works a bit differently. You need to keep fighting the trainers until you find all the secret scrolls. Then you’ll be able to talk to the Gym Leader directly and beat her! The Gym Leader is weak to Psychic, Fairy and Flying. There’s many Flying types and some Psychic types you can find in the routes before Veilstone. Her Lucario is weak to Fighting (lol), Ground and Fire type attacks though. Use these wisely! How can we help Dawn? You have to fight the Grunts in the northern part in Veilstone. Beat them up with her! Pick up the Key inside of the warehouse. Where do I go now? Head south from Veilstone and keep going south and west nonstop until you reach Pastoria. You will go through several routes, but the key is to keep going south and west and ignoring anything else. How do I get to the leader? How do I beat it? He’s strong! The Water Type gym leader has a very big weakness to both Grass and Electric type moves. His Water/Ground pokemon are 4 times weak to Grass and his Water/Flying pokemon are 4 times weak to Electric type attacks. Use this wisely! Beat all the trainers in the way. I went to Solaceon but nothing happens, I can’t move the Psyducks! You just skipped a big step. I went to Hearthome to beat the fifth Gym but it doesn’t let me challenge it! You just skipped a big step. Where do we have to follow this Grunt to? Who's this Cynthia lady? When you beat Pastoria’s Gym, go to the top right in the city and talk to the Grunt. He’ll make the Bomb explode. You need to keep following him and interacting with him to the east, almost until Veilstone. He’ll fight you near the Lake. Cynthia will appear after you defeat him and she will give you the Secretpotion. Also, she’s the Region Champion. What do we do with the Secret potion? Go back to Solaceon. Now, interact with the Psyducks. They’ll leave and let you in! What town do we have to go now? Who do we have to defeat there? Go northwest nonstop until you get to Celestic Town. Here, you need to talk to the old Woman, defeat the Galactic Grunt, examine the ruins inside and beat the Galactic Leader. Be careful, because his team is very strong! Fighting Types and Fairy Types deal with his team easily though. What now? Go back to Hearthome. Time for the 5th Gym! How do we beat this 5th gym? What's the puzzle? The 5th Gym is the Ghost Type Gym. Everything will be almost completely dark. You need to make your way through the entire gym and choose the right way to be able to challenge the leader. The leader isn’t very tough as long as you use Ghost or Dark type pokemon, and you can also easily beat her by spamming Sucker Punch against her pokemon! Where do we head now? You need to walk back to Jubilife City. Heal up and surf west. You will find a small coast and when you enter the building you’ll find yourself in Canalave City! Do I have to fight the Rival here? Yes. And he’s tough! Enter the Pokecenter before you cross the bridge. Whenever you cross it, he will want to fight you! How do I defeat the 6th gym? How do we get to the leader? You need to keep defeating the trainers that get in your way until you get to the top floor. The Steel Type Gym Leader is very weak to Ground, Fire and Fighting. These types are very common throughout Sinnoh (except Fire lol). Ground and Fighting will do the job. Additionally, some of his pokemon are Rock and Ground types, so you can use Water types to take care of it. Where do I go now? I’m kinda lost. Enter the Canalave Library and speak to the Professor and her Aide to trigger the next story events. What lakes do I have to go now? Who do I help? You first need to go to the lake south from Veilstone. Enter the Lake and defeat all the grunts. Enter the Legendary Pokemon cave and defeat the Galactic Elite there. Then, head back into your Starter Town and visit the Lake there. A small event will trigger. After this, go back to Eterna City. How do I get to the 7th gym? How do we get to the leader? From Eterna City, head east. Enter Mt Coronet and head north. You will have to keep heading north until you find the way out to Route 216. Speak to the Dig Hole in each side of the mountain to have different teleportation spots so you can quickly move through 216, 206, 207, 210, 211 and Mt Coronet Summit! After 216, keep heading north to 217. When you get there, you’ll have to head northeast to reach Snowpoint! In Snowpoint, you will find the Ice Type Gym Leader. To cheese this gym, keep pressing the Escape key to interrupt your movement whenever you’re being carried by the icy movement. You will be able to change your direction wherever you want. Use this to fight all the trainers and the leader! The Leader is extremely weak to Fighting, Rock, Fire and Steel type attacks. As mentioned above, there’s many of these around Sinnoh (specially Steel types in Iron Island, in Canalave). Use them wisely! Brute force will do the job here. What do I do now? Visit the lake just next to Snowpoint. If you need Rock Climb, there is a tutor in Route 206 which will teach it to one of your pokemon. Talk to the Rival in the lake next to Snowpoint. Now, head to Veilstone. How do I proceed? This part is going to very complicated so hear me out: defeat the Grunt in the outside of the Veilstone building and get his password. Check the small Warehouse to get the key you need there. Go around checking the trash bins to get some specific special items. To beat this part, you will need to explore the entirety of Veilstone’s Galaxy Base and keep fighting all trainers, keep checking all items and trash bins and unlocking the way through your passwords and your keys. Finally, defeat the Galaxy Elites and find the Button that the last Elite will guard. You will need to defeat him and activate the button for the story to continue. How can I get to the top of Mt Coronet? You can easily get to the top through Celestic Town, as you will be able to go north or south depending on where you want to head. You will do a lot of trial and error going through Mt Coronet as it is gigantic and it has many secondary paths and caves. You need to keep going up in floors until you reach the top. How can I defeat the Elites now? Git gud! The last few fights will be very tough, but after this, only two final steps remain. When you defeat the last Elites, you can enter the Distortion World. How do I walk through this Distortion World? How do I defeat Giratina? The Distortion world is really creepy. It’s a very dark maze, and it is very confusing to get through (nowhere as confusing and as hard as in the original game, though). You simply need to walk around and test different paths until you get to Giratina and Cyrus. Cyrus has a full team with a lot of Dark Type pokemon. He is extremely weak to Fairy, Bug and Fighting types. Use these types to counter him. Giratina is very weak to Ghost, Dark, Fairy, Ice and Dragon type attacks. You can use multiple Geodudes with Sturdy and Toxic and Giratina will faint before he can take your entire team thanks to the poison. If you choose to beat it head-on, use Ice Types with Ice Shard to be able to damage it before he can damage you, as he is pretty fast, tanky and hits somewhat hard. Good luck! Just saved the world. Now what? Now head back to Veilstone City. Head south nonstop. Instead of going southwest, however, stop in the middle before you go to Pastoria City. Head East. You will be able to get to the last routes in Sinnoh! You’ll be able to reach Sunnyshore City. How do I beat the gym? The gym leader is a complete pushover. He is extremely weak to Ground type attacks, so do not worry. The main issue is the Gym Puzzle. You will have to defeat the trainers and similarly to Mauville, you will need to manipulate the electric barriers to be able to get deeper in the gym. It’s confusing and complicated, but with enough trial and error, you’ll get to the end! I beat it. What now? Head north from Sunnyshore City. Can I go back to Kanto now? No. You cannot use the boat in Canalave or Lilycove to go back until you defeat the Sinnoh Elite Four. How can I get Waterfall to head there? If you for some reason forgot Waterfall, you can find it in Sinnoh Safari Zone 4, next to a policeman. The Safari Zone is in Pastoria City. Is the Victory Road long? No. Actually, Sinnoh’s Victory Road is the shortest. You don’t need to go up or down any floors, you can cross the entire thing without going up or down, just using the stairs and bridges! It’s also easy to get through. What do I need to use to defeat the Elite Four? The Elite Four in this region is harder (or, more exactly, a bit more annoying and slow than the other ones as most pokemon in this Elite Four are tankier and sluggish to defeat. The Elite Four here uses four different types, and the Champion uses an unspecialised team: Bug: Weak to Fire, Rock, Flying. Fire: Weak to Ground, Rock, Water. Ground: Weak to Water, Grass, Ice. Psychic: Weak to Bug, Dark, Ghost. Cynthia uses a mixed team, so you cannot be fully prepared! Good luck in your adventure!

This is the third part this guide will be divided in. This guide will try to cover Story related questions that are commonly asked nonstop everywhere. Here we will tackle the Hoenn Region, as the last region will be tackled in a future guide! I will be editing this with possible new questions that may arise in the future. (like Missions and other optional stuff) Let’s begin! What should I carry to Hoenn before I enter the region? Hoenn has several places where you will be hardstuck. Hoenn is also different to Johto: in Johto, when you defeat the 8th badge, you’ll be able to go back to Kanto. However, once you enter Hoenn, you will NOT be able to go to any region until you defeat the Elite Four in Hoenn. Before you enter Hoenn, stack up on healing items, Leppa Berries (AS MANY AS YOU CAN, pick them up EVERYWHERE in the other two regions), TM Toxic (get five of these if possible, OR MORE. They can be bought in Fuchsia Gym), TM Dig (get five of these if possible from Celadon Department Store). Buy other useful TM in some gyms you might need in the future (for example, TM Earthquake from Viridian Gym and TM Dig help against the first, third, fourth and fifth gym and VS a certain Legendary battle you will have in the region). You will use 5 Geodudes with Sturdy to cheese Norman Gym Leader and the Legendary battle (unless you actually manage to pull it with your own Pokemon) and Mt Pyre has over 30 straight battles without healing, does not grant you EXP nor Pokedollars and if you go back before you beat them all, you have to start over again. Which are the Hoenn Starters? The Hoenn Starters are Mudkip, Torchic and Treecko. Contrary to popular belief, this is probably the only region aside from Kanto where all three choices are good. The issue is that Torchic and Mudkip might need to evolve once to beat certain gyms if you intend to solo the region with your starter (I personally do NOT recommend you do this. Don’t evolve your pokemon and build a full team). Mudkip is amazing if you can teach it TM Dig, Shadow Claw, Surf and Ice Beam (you can purchase these before you enter Hoenn). It will carry you through the story. Torchic is amazing but it has a few issues. You HAVE to evolve it if you want to use Fighting type moves. If you evolve it, you will train it very slowly but it will gain access to an amazing moveset. It’s a risk-reward choice. Same with Mudkip. Treecko is just there. It’s good and decent, it’s just not super good. I can’t access Route 102, what do I do? You need to defeat your rival in Route 103, then go back and speak to the Professor in the starting town. Then you’ll be able to get to Route 102. What's this Wally guy? And this Norman guy? Why can't we challenge them now? Wally is going to be an uninteresting and boring rival you’ll beat a few times in Hoenn Story. Petalburg Gym is actually the 5th gym in the region. You’ll come back to fight (and hate this fight) later on. Who are these team Magma and Aqua? What do they want? It’s the two bad guy teams in Hoenn. You’ll later have to defeat both separately. How do we easily beat Roxanne? Roxanne is a complete pushover. Like Brock, she’s a Rock Type Gym leader. Her pokemon are weak to Ground, Fighting, Grass, Water and Steel. Grass and Water types are very easy to find in the routes before the first Gym, so you can defeat her easily. How can we help this crying investigator and the Old man? When you beat the Gym, talk to the investigator just outside. Now, go to the northeastern Route (116) and enter the Tunnel. Beat the grunt there, talk to the old man and go back and talk to the investigator. Now enter the big building to the left of the Gym. You need to reach the top floor and talk to the President. How can we help the Devon director? You need to carry a Letter for Steven. He will give it to you. You need to bring it to him in Dewford, in Granite Cave. Where is this Steven guy? He’s in the deepest floor and room in Granite Cave, the cave to the northwest of Dewford Town. Where do I find the abandoned pokemon? The abandoned Onix is inside of the cave. What do we have to do now? When you have given him the letter, you now can defeat Dewford Gym! How do we defeat the gym? This gym is easy to fight. The Fighting Type gym is weak to Flying, Fairy and Psychic types. You have access to a few pokemon of each type in the starting routes. Catch a few and use them against the Gym Trainers! I’m a bit confused on what to do now. Where do I go? First you need to talk to the Old Man and go back to Rustboro with the Boat. You need to talk to the President and ask him to give you the Devon Goods to deliver in Slateport. You can go to Slateport by talking to the Old Man, going in the boat to Dewford, then going to Slateport from there. Who do we speak to in Slateport? Devon is in a House just below the Museum. He’s the first investigator you should find there. If you can’t find him, just keep breaking in people’s houses and talk to the NPCs inside. One of them will pick up your Goods. Then, you can visit the Museum! Who do we have to defeat? You gotta defeat the Grunts in the Slateport Museum now. They’re bad guys! Defeat two of them to be able to move on. What's this Trick House? The Trick House is a lategame side area where you can obtain the Houndoomite and farm some other items. Visit it later! Is the Rival fight here hard? Thankfully, it’s not as hard as in the original games What's this New Mauville? It’s a lategame area you will visit to do many sidequests! For now, it remains locked until you complete Hoenn’s Elite Four. What type is the third gym? The third gym is the Ground type gym. It’s very easy to beat with Geodude and other Ground Types you might’ve caught in previously in your adventure. This is why I recommend you buy a few TM Dig before you enter the region. A lot of pokemon can learn this move and defeat the gym easily. There’s a lot of trainers before the third gym, so you should be able to farm properly! How do I cross these barriers? You have to defeat the trainers and interact with the barriers. These barriers are a bit bugged and sometimes they do not work properly. You need to interact with them and find the correct combination so that you eventually get to the Gym Leader. Spoiler alert: they will not cooperate. Is there anything interesting in this Verdanturf Town? Not at all. Unfortunately, Verdanturf is as boring as it was in the original games. How can I go to the eastern route? I don’t have Surf! You don’t have to go there, you have to head north after Mauville. Where can I get Rock Smash here? In Mauville City, there is a NPC in the southeastern house (similar to the original games) that sells you a Rock Smash TM. I’m kinda lost in Route 111 and Route 112. Where do I go? Route 111 is just the way from Mauville to Mt Chimney and Fiery Path. Get to Route 112 going northwest from 111. Ignore the northeastern desert for now. In Route 112, there’s a transport house that you can use to travel to Mt Chimney (just above the 4th gym town) or there’s also Fiery Path. I can't go to Mt Chimney! Where do I go? See that cave next to the dudes sleeping in front of the house? Yea, go in there, in Fiery Path. You’ll have to keep heading north and exit through the other side. What’s this Excavation thing? It’s a lategame daily activity you can use to hunt really rare pokemon and make STOINKS. I’ll leave a guide linked here. Ignore this for now. Alright, I got to the other side. What now? You can heal up in a house here if you talk to the old lady (yes, because intruding someone’s house and using it as a Pokecenter is a completely normal thing). Then, head northwest to Route 113. You’ll need to continue to Fallarbor Town and then west and south to 114 and Meteor Falls. What is this Jackson dude doing in Meteor Falls? PLOT CONVENIENCE. Just defeat him. Where did the Grunts go? They went to Mt Chimney. You have two choices now: you either backtrack all the way to Fiery Path’s entrance, or you go south from Meteor Falls and go through Route 115, Rustboro, Route 116, Verdanturf Tunnel, Mauville City, 111, 112 and you use the transport. They’re hard to defeat! What do I do? Git gud. They’re mainly Dark type users, so you can use some Fighting pokemon you found along the way. Numel, Machop and Makuhita (Numel for Poison types) will help you a lot. I defeated them, what now? Pick up the meteorite from the machine and go south. Go south through Jagged Pass (remember that here is the secret Magma Grunt base, spoiler alert for a 18 year old game, so you will have to go back later). Now, you’ll end up in 112, but over the small hill. Go left to Lavaridge. What the hell is this puzzle? I can’t get to the gym leader? Let me explain how this works: Lavaridge’s Fire Type gym is divided in two adjacent maps, one ontop of the other. If you jump in a hole, you’ll fall in the map below. If you step on another hole, you’ll be teleported upwards. You have to keep guessing which hole is the right one (that’s what she said) to teleport into the correct places in the gym. Keep in mind you will have to remember which path you took the last time so you can know where you need to fall to progress. It is going to be very repetitive, so if needed, draw a map on a paper sheet so you can know where to fall and where not to. What can we use to beat the gym leader? This gym leader is a complete pushover. She’s extremely weak to Ground, Rock and Water types, as she mainly uses Fire type pokemon. These pokemon are literally everywhere, and not only that, since you have the HM Surf, you can teach it to all Water Type pokemon and run over her team. You should never be stuck here. What's this guard blocking in Lavaridge? Valley of Steel, which is an extra area for the lategame. Ignore this for now! Where's the 5th gym? The 5th gym is back in Petalburg. Yes, that small town at the beginning. And, spoiler alert, the Normal Type gym leader is your dad! (The only dad in the entire series that went to buy milk and actually came back). What's the fastest way to reach the leader? Alright, you can really get to the leader by just going straight all the way. However, I REALLY recommend you just fight ALL the trainers for extra experience. Don’t avoid anyone because you will need this experience for later. I keep being beaten, this gym leader is too strong! Alright, this gym leader is a bit special and there are ways to cheese this. You can use Ghost Types (which are immune to his Normal type attacks) and use moves such as Curse to deal % damage every turn or Toxic to slowly wear them down. Confuse Ray and Hypnosis can also help out. Otherwise, you can bruteforce through it with Fighting Types. They’re really useful here. How do I beat the Slakings? For the Slakings, I will explain how their ability works. Truant makes them only attack once every two turns. Thus, they will work like this: Slaking attacks. Now it doesn’t. Slaking attacks. Now it doesn’t. Slaking attacks. Now it doesn’t. If you listened to my advice in the literal first question and you bought TM Toxic and TM Dig, continue reading. Otherwise, skip this part. The way you can cheese them is with low level Geodude with Sturdy. I’ll explain how. Teach TM Dig and TM Toxic to your Geodude with Sturdy at a low level. You will do this. In the first turn, you will Toxic and Slaking will attack you. If you succeeded and he is poisoned, click Dig in the second turn. He will be unable to attack and you will dig down. In the third turn, he will attack first, but since you’re underground, he can’t touch you. You will attack last. In the fourth turn, he can’t attack, and you can Dig again. This cycle repeats until he faints. You can repeat this for the other Slaking and you’ll get through it! I won! Now, where do I go? Head back to Mauville by surfing through Route 103 to Route 110 and walk north to it. Then, head east to Route 118 and keep going northeast to find Route 119. This route is long and it’s divided in two parts! What do I have to do in the Weather Institute? You have to defeat the leader of the Grunts. Most of the Grunts are optional, but you should definitely fight them for some extra experience! After you defeat them, talk to the investigators, leave and head northeast to Fortree City! I can't access the 6th gym! How can I enter it? Head to Route 120 (east of Fortree City), talk to Steven and fight the wild Kecleon. Kecleon has some spawns so you don’t have to worry about capturing it. Just beat it! (Beat it, beat it, beat it beat iiiit) Now you can head back to the Gym. How do I navigate the gym? The Flying Type Gym has some weird puzzles. You only have to step on the right arrows and go around the bushes in the gym until you make your way to the Gym Leader. How do I easily defeat the Flying Type Gym? You can stomp her easily with Electric, Rock and Ice types. Using a Rock type (and setting up Stealth Rocks) will demolish her. Electric types are also a good extra as they are also able to paralyse her pokemon. Ice types are way too rare at this point though. I found some Grunts in Route 121 next to the Safari, what do I have to do now? First, cry. You don’t know what you are going to go through emotionally and physically, but just so you can know: gather as many Leppa Berries (and all possible Berries) in ALL Hoenn Routes, navigate all optional routes (Surf Routes below 104 and Slateport), fight all trainers, navigate Route 123 and beat them all, gather more and more berries and healing items if possible. When you have done that, go back to Route 121, enter Lilycove, heal up and get ready for PRO’s most obnoxious, hard and tough challenge. I can’t access the Aqua Grunt Hideout in Lilycove City and I can’t go east either, what do I do? Head south from Route 121, surf to the southeast and enter Mt Pyre. Beat all the trainers in all floors, heal up in Lilycove, and then come back. Head to Mt Pyre 3F, exit to the south and now read the next question very carefully. How do I beat these trainers? Alright, listen. You now have to beat OVER THIRTY CONSECUTIVE TRAINERS WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO LEAVE. You CAN heal up inbetween fights, but if you leave at any point before you fight ALL of them, YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THE WHOLE THING AGAIN. This means that if you beat 28, and there are 2 more trainers left, and you leave the map, YOU WILL HAVE TO FIGHT THESE 28 AGAIN. To beat this, you have to hope your internet does not crash in the middle of a fight, the server doesn’t crash in the middle of a fight, carry a LOT of Leppa Berries, Ethers, Elixirs, Leftovers and other healing items to get through all of these. But this is not the worst part. The trainer pokemon levels are very high, AND THEY DO NOT AWARD ANY EXPERIENCE NOR POKEDOLLARS WHEN YOU DEFEAT THEM. Doesn’t sound fun, is it? BECAUSE IT’S NOT. Prepare yourself, plan ahead, have a full team of high level pokemon and fill yourself up with healing items to get through it. You might be stuck here for days. I finally made it to the top! What are these Orbs? You will be able to rest after you get a pop up message that says “You can now go and heal”. This is a confirmation that you’ve successfully gone through all of that. Beat the last grunts and talk to the Elder. You will need these Orbs to infiltrate each Team Headquarters. Where do we go now? When the Old Man has given you both orbs, you need to head to Jagged Pass, back in Mt Chimney, north of Mauville. Go down Mt Chimney, and in the middle of Jagged Pass, you will notice a small cave, shut by some rocks. Interact with it and you’ll be teleported inside. WARNING: THIS HEADQUARTER IS SPECIAL. Once you have beaten the leader of the grunts, YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO GO BACK INSIDE. Beat all the trainers for the experience and beat their leader, pick up all the pokeballs, and when everything is done, walk out triumphantly. Now go back to Lilycove City. Aqua’s Headquarters are way more complicated than Magma’s. In Aqua, you have to defeat both team subleaders, defeat most of the trainers in it, pick up a lot of items and go through all teleporters in the place. It’s a gigantic teleporting maze. Remember this: the main point is to defeat both the MAGMA and the AQUA Subleaders. When you defeat both, the Aqua Subleader will use its submarine and they will escape. You’ll then be able to escape. Also, there’s no Master Ball here, so don’t spend your time looking for it. Where do we go now? East from Lilycove, through Route 124, to Mossdeep City. What now? You need to defeat the 7th gym, the Psychic Type gym. The gym in general is very weak to Ghost, Dark and Bug types, but both Leaders (yes, both, there’s two leaders you must fight here) carry a few surprises. One leader uses Gardevoir, whose Fairy type defends it from Bug and Dark, and the other one uses Gallade, which defends him from Bug and Dark types too. It is kinda easy to cheese this gym with a few Poochyena/Mightyena spamming Sucker Punch, but from the info above, I think you can get the gist of it. The leaders can be extremely tough though, it’s just that the Gym trainers are pushovers. The gym is a small teleporting maze combined with spinning trainers. It’s very easy to get through it all. You shouldn’t have any issues getting to the end point. How can we get HM Dive? After you defeat the Leader, go to Mossdeep Space Center. Talk to Steven and he will give you HM Dive. I am a bit confused. Where do I have to head now? Sootopolis or the cave? First you need to head to the cave in Route 128. To access it, you first need to teach a pokemon the HM Dive. Then, head south from Mossdeep to Route 127. Dive in the gigantic vertical divespot (dude, if you can’t find it you really need to get glasses) and keep surfing south until you reach Route 128 underwater. In that part you just need to find a cave entrance. Note that you will need Rock Smash in this cave (as far as I know, there is one way to skip a bit of this puzzle, but it’s a bit annoying to find). Make your way through until the end, defeat all the trainers and get to the end. You’ll see one of the bad boys about to wake up Kyogre. Defeat him, Kyogre will wake up due to plot convenience, like Groudon did in the Magma Hideout, and go back to Mossdeep. How can we enter Sootopolis? To find Sootopolis, we are going to do part of the same sequence. Head to Route 127 from Mossdeep. However, instead of diving anywhere, now we’re going to head to the northwest of the route. Eventually, you will find a small water spot where you can go to the west and enter Route 126. In this route, you need to keep heading southwest, until you find a swimmer called Swimmer Denzel. He will have a divespot directly above him, enclosed by rocks. THAT is the Divespot you need. Dive in it and head directly southeast. You should find an NPC blocking a cave. Talk to her so she leaves and head in. Then, dive out. You’ll be in Sootopolis! What now? Heal up if you want in the Pokecenter. Then, head to the northwestern part of the city, and go clockwise. You will see Steven and a white dressed dude (the leader) in front of a cave. Talk to them. They will ask you to go to Sky Pillar, in Route 131. If you haven’t noticed yet, we haven’t really explored 128, 129, 130 or 131. That’s gonna be a long way. Go back to the pokecenter. Now, you can travel all the way back to Mossdeep, just backtracking through the same way (dude, don’t you just love backtracking thirty times in a row?). When you’re in Mossdeep, head south to Route 127. Now head south to 128. Now head southwest to Route 129. Now southwest to 130. Now pay attention and stay swimming in the northern part of Route 130. You will eventually find an entrance to Sky Pillar between Routes 130 and 131 in the northern part of the Route. Before you enter Sky Pillar, keep surfing west until you find Pacifidog Town, a town in the middle of the water. There, pick up the Geodudes in the PC in the Pokecenter (if you used them) that you used to cheese Slaking in the 5th gym. If you don’t want to play dirty though, just go to Sky Pillar with your team. You only need to walk your way to the top. You will find Jackson. Here, you will have to fight him AND FREAKING RAYQUAZA, BECAUSE SOMEHOW HE HAS IT. He will also reveal that, SURPRISE SURPRISE, HE WAS A FBI AGENT ALL ALONG, FROM PALLET TOWN TO HOENN, HE WAS ALWAYS AN FBI TRAINED SNIPER ACTION SPECIAL UNITS AGENT THAT HAD TO STOP WORLD’S DESTRUCTION. Yes, this sounds like I’m making a joke in the middle of the guide, but no, IT’S REAL. This is the literal Plot of Jackson, even though it makes NO sense, because there are side missions where you can find him again and his plot there completely contradicts this. Also, A TEN YEAR OLD FBI AGENT. Back to the topic. RAYQUAZA. You have to fight his entire team AND HIS RAYQUAZA. Rayquaza is 4 times weak to Ice. If you hadn’t paid a visit to Shoal Cave (north of Mossdeep City, surfing, Route 125), go back to it after he completely runs over your team and capture a few Ice Type pokemon with Ice Shard (priority move from the Ice Type). His team is not difficult to beat, IT’S JUST THAT HE HAS A RAYQUAZA. When you finally defeat him (after I don’t know how many attempts), go back to Pacifidog to heal. Now, capture a few Spinarak in Sky Pillar at very high levels, who will have Sucker Punch in their moveset. To be exact, capture six of them. Make them fight wild pokemon in Sky Pillar and evolve them immediately with Sucker Punch learned. If you see they don’t have this move, you can travel back (AGAIN) to Mossdeep City and relearn it. You will use this to cheese Deoxys. How can we defeat Deoxys? Where can we find Rayquaza? Talk to Rayquaza in Sky Pillar when you’re ready. You will be teleported TO THE LITERAL MOON (play the Ducktales OST here, if you want). You will have to navigate through the caves clockwise going up and down ladders and exiting and entering caves until you appear just behind Deoxys. Deoxys is an extremely hard fight for a newbie. He hits extremely fast and hard. However, there are ways to cheese this. Deoxys has pathetic defenses. He is weak to Ghost, Bug and Dark type attacks. Coincidentally, there are two moves that have increased priority and that will always attack first before Deoxys can attack. Which are they? Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch! (There’s more, but it’s to keep the guide simple. I’m already burning my hands at 9 pages long, jeez.) We will use 6 Ariados for this fight. We will simply click Sucker Punch. Deoxys will eventually faint before he is able to faint all of our Ariados. Around the third to fourth Ariados, Deoxys should faint. When he has lost, you need to navigate through the caves AGAIN, looking for Rayquaza. Keep in mind he will be hidden in one of them and you will suddenly encounter him there, being a gigantic green serpent. When you find him, talk to him, and you’ll be teleported back to Sootopolis. Congrats! Heal up in the pokecenter, go clockwise in the city again and talk to Steven, Jackson and the Leader. You’ll now be able to challenge the Gym! How do I get HM Waterfall? VERY IMPORTANT: PLEASE, PICK UP HM WATERFALL HERE. HM Waterfall is ACTUALLY optional (for some reason) in Hoenn, but it’s an amazing move. You will need this for Hoenn and Sinnoh Elite 4. It is possible to skip this by having a friend teach you the move onto a pokemon, but you will need it later anyway. SO PICK IT UP. It’s in Cave of Origins B3F, that cave where Steven, Jackson and the Leader were just blocking. How do we defeat the 8th gym leader? How do we get to the leader? Getting to the leader is a bit confusing. You need to walk on a bit of a maze and you might also have to slide around. If you feel like cheating, whenever you’re sliding, press the ESCAPE key. It will stop you in the middle of the sliding animation and you can skip the puzzles. The floor below is INFESTED with trainers. You need to defeat both leaders (one on each floor) to earn the badge. The Water Type gym is pretty fun and easy to beat. You just need strong Grass and Electric types. Bruteforce all the way through and congratulations, you just beat all Hoenn Gyms! Now that we've done all of this, can we go back to previous regions? Haha! Of course! NOT. You need to defeat Hoenn’s Elite Four to be able to go back to previous regions. Git gud. How do we reach the Hoenn Elite Four? Travel from Sootopolis to Mossdeep (at this point you should know how, just read above). Surf south to 127. Surf south to 128. Now, surf southEAST until you enter a new map called “Ever Grande City” (no, not Ariana Grande City, EVERGRANDE City). Use Waterfall there and heal up. Talk to the hole in front of the cave, you can use it later to teleport through it. Go in the cave and it’s a very easy one to get through. The Hoenn Victory Road is way easier to travel than other region’s Victory Roads (the easiest of all is Sinnoh, if you know the way to go, you’ll only need 30 seconds to cross it entirely). You only need to defeat the trainers if you want extra experience. Keep in mind that after you defeat Hoenn’s 8th Gym, you can use your old pokemon from previous regions! What types do they have? The Hoenn Elite 4 uses Dark, Ghost, Ice, Dragon and Steel Types. The best way to counter this Elite 4 is with Fighting types that also learn Ice Punch and Knock Off (or a strong Dark Type/Ghost Type move). Fighting wins against Dark, Ice and Steel, Ice Punch will take care of the Dragon Type Elite 4 and Dark type moves will take care of the Ghost Type Elite 4. Personally, I used Machamp with No Guard, I picked up a lot of Leppa Berries and I simply clicked Dynamicpunch, Ice Punch and Knock Off, and everything fainted in a single hit. If you still want a few more tips: Dark is weak against Fairy, Bug and Fighting. Ghost is weak against Ghost and Dark. Ice is weak againt Steel, Rock and Fire. Dragon is weak against Ice, Dragon and Fairy. Steel is weak against Fire, Ground and Fighting. Good luck! How do we access Sinnoh now? Who do we talk to? What do we have to do? When you finally have beaten Sinnoh, you can start the Sinnoh Access Quest by talking to the NPC Paul in Lilycove City. You will need 6 pokemon at level 80 or above to begin this quest. Keep in mind you will have to fight and beat a strong Boss, so be ready!

I will now go through the entire post again and edit quite a few megaquests. I tested some myself yesterday -
Dude, take a break and relax. PRO is not a job and it's obviously a bit unforgiving with sync rates and low encounter rates, but it's not super punishing nor p2w either. RNG is dumb, and putting more hours into the game does not necessarily mean you will get more epic pokemon for granted, it's completely luck-based. Yesterday I was raging extremely hard in discord because I was doing the Manectric Megaquest for my forum guide and I kept failing it nonstop. I went onto the grass and I get an encounter. Tier 8 encounter, Shiny Manectric. Did I deserve it? No. I just found it randomly in a single encounter. No repel, just walking back to the quest place. Some spend months repel hunting shiny Electrike. I just got it randomly in 5 minutes. These things unfortunately happen. I've also got 31 31 shiny Geodude, almost 28+ pokemon from random encounters and I just felt bored and captured them. PRO is a luck based MMORPG with some skill elements to it, but when it comes to hunting, it's purely luck based. Even in the long term hunting, it does not mean you will capture a 20+ PvP pokemon you've been looking for weeks. Money barely changes anything in PRO, you can get increased HA chance, money gain on fights and experience. The tools are just an extra utility. The only real advantage you can use by paying is the increased HA chance, which does not affect event skins nor rare spawns in any way. I hope you can take some time off, relax and come back to hunt in PRO :)

I have a theory on Mega Slowbronite. I think we need to bring one low IV Slowpoke to each Shellder that appears in Whirl Islands so that they can bite each one of their tails and be able to evolve. I think it might work, honestly. -

This was really quick. In one day we all managed to put this all together In 10 hours! We are missing some details (IV requirements, natures, if EVs are needed or not in some quests, happiness and some extra info on specific quests), but this looks pretty nice. It needs polishing. We currently have NO info on Mega Slowbro. It is suggested that it might be beating Thor Boss on Hard Difficulty, but I don't think it has anything to do with it. -

Welcome to the Megastones Quest Guide: Wave 3! Welcome, everyone! As the last and final third wave was just released, we finally have the last remaining Megaevolutions to obtain! This guide will be completed with the community’s additions, like the other two guides (basically everyone does the job and I just sit with my fat belly and my half eaten pizza in my sofa while I write this). I will be editing this thread continuously as new details about the megaevolution quests are revealed. Are you ready? Let’s begin! Third Wave Megaevolutions Mega Aerodactyl Mega Alakazam Mega Camerupt Mega Manectric Mega Mawile Mega Metagross Mega Medicham Mega Pidgeot Mega Pinsir Mega Sableye Mega Salamance Mega Slowbro Mega Tyranitar Mega Sharpedo Mega Kangaskhan (?) Mega Lucario (?) Mega Aerodactyl Aerodactyl's Megastone can be bought in Historical Site in Excavations for 1000 Artifact Pieces (semi confirmed). Mega Alakazam Mega Alakazam’s quest can be started in Veilstone City's Casino. You will need a pokemon with 31 IV in Speed in your party and some Kelpsy Berries. You can find Kelpsy Berries in Viridian Maze or Safari EV Wald. Now talk to the Casino Owner. Talk to the Abra multiple times until he teleports and flees. Talk again to the Casino Owner. You will need to travel a LOT, so be ready. You must now visit Mt Coronet Summit. Talk to the Meditating Alakazam and give him a Kelpsy Berry. You need to choose that you want to battle him. BIG WARNING: THIS ALAKAZAM DID NOT SKIP LEG DAY. He is VERY fast, hits hard AND TANKS HITS LIKE A TRUCK. HE IS A SPECIAL FIGHT. BRUTE FORCE WILL NOT HELP HERE. A PvP Mimikyu Shadow Claw only does 10% to it, when it would normally do over 10 times that damage. To cheese this fight, use two Rattata with Endeavor, Quick Attack and Focus Sash equipped. Start with the first Rattata and use Endeavor as he will lower you to 1 HP with your Sash equipped. Use Quick Attack to revengekill. If Alakazam defeats you before you can Quick Attack (somehow), your second Rattata only needs to Quick Attack with the Sash equipped and you'll get the Megastone. Once you win, you will earn your Megastone! If you instead decide to be a pacifist, you can choose NOT to fight Alakazam and choose the "Compassion" option. You will begin a Fetch Quest. Very important: READ THE DIALOGUE TO KNOW WHERE YOU HAVE TO TRAVEL TO. There are multiple locations: Talk to Abra in front of Granite Cave, Hoenn. Give it a Twistedspoon. Talk to Abra in Route 205. Bring a Pokemon with Spore or Sleep Powder. Talk to Kadabra in Floaroma Town, it's near the entrance to the lower side of Floaroma Meadow. Bring a pokemon with the move Brick Break. Talk to Kadabra in Hearthome City. It's inbetween the two fountains, near Psychic Yukki NPC. Bring a pokemon that knows the move Trick. Talk to Alakazam in Sunnyshore City, it's in front of the lighthouse. Bring a pokemon with high SPATK stat (Gengar, for example) Talk to Kadabra in Lilycove City. He asks you to show him a Kirlia. After you talk to up to 3 of these mentioned above, he will grant you the Megastone! Personal comment: just use a Rattata with Endeavor, Quick Attack and Focus Sash and just beat him in the first turn. Mega Manectric Mega Manectric’s quest can be started in Route 123, Berry Garden. This one will make yourself want to rip your hair out, so get ready: Requirements. Level 100 pokemon (seriously, YOU NEED THIS). It should be a VERY strong attacking sweeper. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS WITH TANK POKEMON. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. Do not attempt with slow attackers or multi-hit moves either. I am using Diggersby Adamant with Choice Band equipped and Huge Power so I can powerforce myself through this nightmare of a quest. You need Cut, Surf and Rock Smash (either as learned moves or as tools). People suggest to use a light weight pokemon, but it has been beaten with a Dragonite (which is a bit fat, to be honest). Rotom Heat would fit here as it works really well against almost all the trainers (except if you get Blissey, in that case you just instantly lose). You need to talk to the Farmer inside of the Berry Farm. He will teleport you to a starting point. You have to go to the northwest dodging spinning and moving trainers, fighting two obligatory trainers and you need to interact with the Salamance Statue. Then, you need to head back in the same way. You need to return and talk to the Farmer as soon as possible. You need to do this in less than 120 seconds. Problems: -All the trainers have a randomised level 100 pokemon with them. It's between a pool of pokemon, from which I've found: Blissey, Shedinja, Ninjask, Steelix, Heracross, Shuckle and Alakazam. The problems: -If you don't have a Fire/Rock/Flying/Ghost/Dark type attack and find Shedinja, you've automatically lost if you have no way to Poison/Burn it. -If you're a special attacker and you find Blissey, you've lost. That thing is absurdly bulky. -If you're a physical attacker and you find Shuckle or Steelix, you will need to pray to defeat it in one hit. -Alakazam and Heracross will wreck you if you're unprepared. -Ninjask is just annoying and fast, but it has nothing else to it. -The only obligatory trainers are the Snorlax cosplayer and the monk next to the Rock Smash place. However, there's a catch: if you speak to them by accident, YOU WILL HAVE TO FIGHT THEM AGAIN. If you missclick, you're done and lost. You can only fight these 2 trainers 2 times each (once when you go in and once when you go out) if you want to earn the Megastone. Fighting any optional trainers means you've just lost and you'll not have enough time. If you manage to do all of this under 120 seconds, then you should earn your Mega Manectric Stone. I accidentally found a Shiny Manectric on the way while raging and walking back to the Megaquest spot over and over again, so I guess my suffering with this guide is being worth it lol. Mega Sharpedo and Mega Camerupt Mega Sharpedo's and Mega Camerupt's quest can be started in Slateport City. Talk to the NPC Charlene and participate in the Festival. You need to bring three specific pokemon. One pokemon that knows the move Rock Smash and Brick Break. You want BOTH. It is also commonly agreed that this pokemon should have the ability Mold Breaker or it must have a Base ATK stat of 135 or higher. (if you have no idea what this means, check this guide. Use a Rampardos! Another pokemon that is a Fire Type. You will get bonus points if you use a pokemon with the ability Magma Armor (Slugma, Magcargo, Camerupt). This ensures a win. A pokemon with the move Surf or a Surf mount. HEAVILY Recommended: 1.- Pokemon with Rock Smash, Brick Break and the ability Mold Breaker. So far, we've only been able to beat this with a Rampardos, Mold Breaker with these moves. It is possible that you only need the Ability + one of these two moves, but it is also implied that the pokemon should need a high ATK stat. 2.- Rotom-Mow with Thunderbolt and Leaf Storm, Timid/Modest and with a Choice Specs. This will take care of the third trial, which is by far the most obnoxious. Otherwise, just a very strong Electric type with also Grass type moves. 3.- A Surf Mount. I recommend: Rampardos with Mold Breaker and Brick Break and Rock Smash learned. This grants first place 100% of the time in the First Trial. Camerupt with Magma Armor. This grants first place 100% of the time in the Second Trial. Credits to Belzebel for Camerupt and Rampardos idea :V Sharpedo with Speed Boost or Ludicolo / Rotom Maw to fight the trainers. (unconfirmed if this grants you anything as a bonus in the Third Trial. Must be tested. The other two however are 100% guaranteed to work).Ç For the third trial, use a Grass/Electric pokemon + Surf Mount otherwise. Be ready to get lost many times because the map is gigantic and confusing as hell. It's also obnoxious. I'll go step by step. Talk to NPC Charlene in Slateport. You will have to show her the pokemon mentioned above. You can only bring in three pokemon. You will be teleported to the Hoenn Festival Map. Here you first have to talk to Charlene so that the Rock Breaking trial begins. When you've done so, you need to head for the northeast of the map and get to the rocky area. You need to walk around until you find a gigantic Black/Grey rock next to Fan Tony NPC. Walk into it and you will get a prompt asking you to use a pokemon. Use a High ATK pokemon with both Rock Smash and Brick Break. I'd honestly use Infernape for this one, or just any Fighting type like Machamp. You will get extra points for this. You need to now walk back to Charlene. Talk to her so she congratulates you and talk to her again to begin the second part of the trial. Walk back to the Rocky area and try to find your way until you find a wooden bridge to the west. It will bring you to the Magma area. Try to find an area where there's a Magma pond with all the participants in it and find a spot to sit in. Choose your Magma Armor pokemon to participate in it. After you do so, walk back to Charlene. THE WORST PART BEGINS NOW. Talk to Charlene yet again. She will tell you that the last trial will begin. Walk to the southeast of the map. You will find the other participants in a line. Before you participate, place your Grass/Electric type in the first slot of your party, use your Surf mount or your Surf pokemon and surf to them. You will now have to walk clockwise through water around the entire island. If a wild pokemon spots you (they will be swimming around the island), you will be teleported and will lose a masive amount. You will be forced to fight many trainers in the way without being able to use items in battle. These rectangular platforms will fully heal your party when you step on them. Be sure to use a Grass/Electric type pokemon that can defeat everything in a single hit or you will 100% be unable to beat this quest part. Finally, speak to Charlene to obtain your Megastones if you ended in first place! Mega Mawile Mega Mawile’s quest can be started in Valley of Steel, Eastern Peak. You need to bring a Level 100 Mawile with Max Happiness. Unconfirmed if OT or not and which requirements it needs aside from this. Talk to the NPC Looker first. Now, talk to the Granny and then talk to Looker again. Visit the Western Peak. You should only be able to enter it when it's Night Time. Hide inside. A Mysterious Girl NPC will appear. You have to hide from her. She will attempt to sleep twice. You need to try and wake her up twice without her noticing you. You need to follow her and avoid the Police Guardian if possible. You will now face her. Get your boss team ready and include in it a Mawile at Level 100 with full happiness. Her team is: Absol, Drifloon, Mimikyu, Spiritomb, Zoroark diguised as Banette and Mega Banette. When you win the fight, you need to go back to Eastern Peak and talk to Looker. Now, visit the Cave of Steel and fight Byron with your Mawile alone. His team has a Bastiodon, Omastar and Bronzong. If you win, you will obtain the Mawile Megastone. Credits to Ferocityy for the pictures and explanation with Yelovv! Mega Metagross Mega Metagross’ quest can be started in Steven's House, Mossdeep City. You will need to donate 2 Metang after you speak to the NPC Steven with over 100 IV total each. They do not need to have your OT, so you can buy some from other players. BIG WARNING: When you donate them, they will be permanently gone. Afterwards, you need to donate 3 non-Steel type pokemon that have less than 70 IV total. They also do not need to be your OT, but they must be caught AFTER you begin the quest. Finally, you will have to face his Mega Metagross and you can only use Steel Type Pokemon. Be ready because he's VERY Tough! (Claws. Get it? GET IT? I'm so funny I should be a comedian) Mega Medicham Mega Medicham’s quest can be started in Mt Pyre Exterior. This megaquest requires you to be the Sinnoh Champion. Speak with Brawly. He will be there with Medicham. Now speak to John. He will scam you with a false Megastone and run away. You need to follow him to Mt Pyre Summit. Brawly will try to help you and give you the Megastone, but his Medicham refuses and wants to first battle him. You need to bring a good nature Medicham with Jolly or Adamant nature that has been caught by you (OT) AFTER you've talked to this NPC (unconfirmed if it can be an old one) with Full Happiness. It is recommended that you equip it with a Focus Sash and just use Counter, the Medicham will defeat itself. After you defeat it, you will earn the Megastone! Mega Pidgeot Mega Pidgeot’s quest can be started in Viridian City. In Viridian City, cut the tree on the top left and go through until you see the Flying Type Lover NPC. You need to defeat him. Then, he will ask you to show him how you train a Pidgey. You need to capture a Pidgey below level 6 (5 is the maximum) and show it to him. It has to be PIDGEY, and not evolved forms! He will tell you if the Pidgey is appropriate. You now need to beat his level 80 Pidgeot with your Pidgey (you can evolve it and use Pidgeotto or Pidgeot!) in a 1 vs 1 fight. This is why you should train your Pidgey to 97 or so. After winning, you have to go to Indigo Plateau and find Blue in the Kanto Elite Four building. Show him the Pidgey and battle against him. You're allowed to use any pokemon so bring your full Boss Team! He will fight you with a Gyarados, Exeggutor, Alakazam, Rhyperior, Tyranitar, Arcanine, Machamp and Mega Pidgeot. Some of his pokemon seem to be randomized. All his pokemon use Life Orb as an item. Once you defeat him, go back to Viridian City, talk to the Flying Type Lover NPC and show him your Pidgey. You will obtain your Megastone! Mega Pinsir Pinsir's Megastone can be obtained through winning in the Bug Catching Contest. Unconfirmed if it's just winning once or three times like Beedrill's and Herracross' Megastones. Mega Sableye Mega Sableye’s quest can be started in Diamond Domain B1F, Love Island. Talk to the NPC Gem Collector. He will ask you to deliver a Sableye. You will need to go and catch one, with no requirements. Bring it to the NPC. I recommend Sky Pillar or Rustboro City Headbutt Trees. You will now need a high level Aurorus. You can obtain Aurorus by digging in Dig Spots and reviving Sail Fossils in Cinnabar Laboratory. You can now level it up. You will then fight a level 100 Sableye. As Yellovv and others recommended, it's a good idea to make it tanky (with HP EV Training). Toxic, Protect, Rest and another Status move equipped with Leftovers should do the job. You cannot challenge it if you have ANY attacking moves. You need 4 Status moves. The NPC will then ask you to bring a pokemon with the move Scald and one with the move Rock Smash (unconfirmed if it needs to be both in one or separate, but Azumarill can learn both. Explanation from Ferocityy for the final step: You will have to choose between two options. "Dig" "Collect" If you Dig too many times, the Gem will break and you will need to wait for a 30 minute cooldown. If you Collect too early, you will not get the Gem and you will have to wait for a 5 minute cooldown. Users suggest to Dig around 2 to 3 times and then Collect. It seems to be completely random between 1 and 5 though. Once you are lucky, you will be able to speak to the NPC and get the Megastone! Mega Slowbro Mega Slowbro’s quest can be started in Cliff Edge Gate, next to Cianwood City, Johto. Talk to the NPC Sam (investigator). He's in the water, in a small grounded space. You need to give him three random Shellders, no requirements at all. After that, he will teleport to Whirl Islands. Talk to him in Whirl Islands. B2F. Multiple Rocket Grunts will appear! They will kidnap the pokemon and travel to Slowpoke Well. You must now go to Slowpoke Well, Azalea Town. You will have to go through the wild pokemon and go to the 2nd floor, underground. Find Sam and defeat the Rocket Grunt Boss. You will earn your Slowbronite when you talk to Sam! The Rocket Grunt Boss has a Machamp, Houndoom, Gengar, Steelix, Crobat and Mega Slowbro at level 100! Mega Tyranitar Mega Tyranitar’s quest can be started in Gold's Gym, Saffron City. You need a level 100 Tyranitar with the natures Adamant, Jolly, Impish, Careful, Relaxed or Sassy with atleast 120 IV Total (counting all stats). It does not necessarily have to be yours. Talk to the Kung Fu Master NPC. You will have to beat his five pokemon. It seems you fight Muk first, then Graveler, Boldore, Lairon and Mega Steelix. There are other pokemon like Gigalith and Golem that can also appear. They all have Sturdy (except Muk and Mega Steelix). If you succeed, you will earn your Megastone! To win, you need to avoid being poisoned by Muk and you might be able to bruteforce through it, as you cannot use any items. The quest is a bit weird and some users have experienced having to fight less or more pokemon than others.
