  1. This is a revamped and updated version of this staff guide from 2019. Because the previous guide is now officially 2 years old, its about time for a revamp. This guide features information about the World Quest, the Mysterious Island (Birth Island) and the Mysterious Ticket that you can earn. World Quest is a server-wide monthly event that is occurring on or around the beginning of every month. The server-wide event has 24 hours to be completed, but will end if all the total IVs goal is met before the 24 hours time limit is up. If the total IVs are not met before 24 hours is up, the World Quest will fail and nobody gets rewarded regardless of contribution percentage. For more information about the World Quest objective, see the section below. Once the World Quest starts, a system message will be displayed in PRO's in-game chat, on PRO's Discord Server and a Icon will appear in the left corner in-game. (See spoilers below) It will also display a message in chat whenever the world quest have been completed before the timer runs out. In-game Chat: PRO's Discord Server: In-game icon: The Mysterious Cultist will pick a random Pokemon from a predefined Rare-tier list each time a World Quest is started. The IVs can be between 160,000 and 190,000, in some cases these numbers can wary. Each time you or someone submits the requested Pokemon to the Mysterious Cultist, it will reduce the total IVs, until the IVs goal is 0. What is IV and what does it actually mean? IV stands for Individual Values, and on PRO it represents the orange numbers or the numbers on the left side when inspecting a Pokemon (see spoiler below). WARNING: SUBMITTING A POKEMON TO THE CULTIST WILL PERMANENTLY DELETE IT, THERE IS NO WAY TO GET IT BACK ONCE SUBMITTED. By speaking to the Mysterious Cultist, you can also track your current progress and how many IVs that are left for the World Quest. If you suceed in getting at least 0.5% IVs, you will be rewarded with a x1 Mysterious Ticket. And if you contribute 3% or more of the total IVs, you will be rewarded with x2 Mysterious Ticket. Here is an quick example on how to calculate how much you need to hunt, in order to reach 0.5% submitted. If the World Quest requires you hunt Fletchling with a total of 164734 IVs, you would need to submit a total of 824 IVs. If you want to aim for the 3% reward, you would need to at least submit 4943 IVs or more. Remember that even if you you do get 0.5%, you would not recieve a reward if the World Quest failed. Mysterious Cultist locations (for each region): Formula used for calculating the percent of a number: How I personally hunt - My strategy The Mysterious Ticket is a non-tradeable item in PRO that can only be aquired once completing either 0.5% or 3% and more during a sucessfull World Quest. This ticket can be used in two ways. Either to access Birth Island or trade them in for a one-time exclusive feature. What and where can you trade a ticket in for a exlusive feature? You can trade in a Mysterious Ticket with the NPC in Vermillion called "H.Ackerman" (See spoiler below for location) He offers the 3 following features: - Reset the 7 days boss cooldown (Do all bosses twice in a single week) - 30 days train ticket, activates immediately once bought. - [GUILD FEATURE] Submit 20 tickets to access guild island. * * Will fail if not all 20 tickets are acquired within the first 7 days of the month. All submitted Mysterious Tickets will be refunded if it fails. If it succeeds, guild will have access to it until the season ends. But only 100 guild members can access the guild island. How to access Birth Island and what to do on Birth Island? To access Birth Island, you can trade in your ticket with the Mysterious Captain found in Vermillion City Docks. Here is a better overview of his location in Vermillion City Docks: He will then escort you to Birth Island, where there is an 50/50 chance to encounter a pseudo-legendary or a legendary. Here is a list on all possible spawns on Birth island. (This excludes any one-time exlusive event pokes or legendaries from special World Quests) Legendaries Clicking on a image below will redirect you to PRO's wiki Entei, Raikou, Suicune (Gen 2) | Regice, Regirock, Registeel (Gen 3) | Latias, Latios (Gen 3) Azelf, Mesprit, Uxie (Gen 4) | Solgaleo, Lunala (Gen 7) Pseudo legendaries Dragonite, Garchomp, Goodra, Hydreigon, Lucario, Metagross, Rotom, Salamence, Tyranitar, Volcarona and Zoroark Pseudo-legendaries has their H.A (Hidden Ability) but no Pokemon that is found on Birth Island can be shiny. To be able to encounter any of the legendaries above on Birth Island, you would need to have captured one of its counterparts first. I.e capturing Uxie, would unlock Azelf and Mesprit on Birth Island. Interacting with the Pokemon on the Island ONCE YOU INTERACT WITH THE POKEMON, YOU CANNOT GET A SYNC READY. If you wanna go get a sync pokemon (a pokemon with the synchronize ability) now is the time. If you intereact with the Pokemon, you cannot end or run from the battle, unless you wish to loose the chance to capture it. You can at any time leave the island by once again speaking to the Mysterious Captain. This will take you back to Vermillion and you can go to the Pokecenter and get yourself a sync poke. Once you're all set with a sync and have a masterball or something to catch it with, speak to the Mysterious Captain to travel back. Interact with the Pokemon to initiate the battle. You can now proceed to capture it. Once you have captured it. First of all, congratulations on capturing it. Hope the Pokemon turns out to be good and of great to you in the future. Check out PRO's Wiki page about World Quests and Mysterious Ticket. How long does a World Quest last? It will always last 24 hours from the time it was announced in chat or until the total IVs are all collected. What is the point of doing a World Quest? You can get a non-tradeable Mysterious Ticket to use for either unique features or capturing a pokemon on Birth Island. When does a World Quest start and is it random? World Quests will randomly start (as of 1st of April) at random. But will be garanteed to spawn the 1st of each month. What happens if a World Quest fails? Will I still be rewarded? If a World Quest fails, nobody gets rewarded, even if you collect the minimum quota for a reward on 0.5% or more. I have all Legendaries listed above, would I only encounter pseudo-legendaries on Birth Island? Yes, unless there is a special event World Quest that spawns a special event poke or legendary. Are the Mysterious Cultists only located in the dock area of each region? Yes, as far as I am aware, they can only be located in each dock area in a region. I wanna exhange my ticket for a 30 day transit pass or 7 day boss cooldown reset, where to find? You can exhange the ticket with H.Ackerman in Vermillion city, located across the water from the Mysterious Captain. I accidently ran away from the battle, can i get another chance? If you ran away from the battle/fainted it, you would need to get another Mysterious Ticket and try again. Some final words before wrapping it up... Naxious created a guide in 2019, which I seem to have "stolen" according to him, which was talked about behind my back on PRO's Discord channel. I have a policy that if anyone feel that I "stole" anything, I am always open for change if the said individual reaches out to me. But talking about it behind my back won't resolve it. I took inspiration from a guide and made my own from scratch. If you have any complaints Mr fossil, my PMs are right HERE for you to reach out to me in a professional manner.

  2. True true. I suppose I can add it to my list when I'm done with the current project. Currently finishing up revamping and updating the old staff guide for World Quest and Mysterious Island which has been left off collecting dust since 2019. Well, I suppose I'll come take a closer look at this guide once I start making a efficient weekly digspot guide
  3. I wanted to make a guide about Digspots. But then I looked at this and went.... "Yeah no. Bhimoso got it all covered" I guess we both love to make long and detailed guides
  4. I'm not sure if someone stealth changed them. But I guess it doesn't hurt to ping @PreHax to confirm whether or not something has indeed changed with the spawn mechanism since his time. As for the WOW reference. I've been farming dungeon and raid drops for the past year, and the rarest ones, with less than 1% is basically just luck if you get it. I've watched streamers go about the same dungeon for a year, each week, after every raid and dungeon reset to go over and over again, only to be let down. They even play on 4 different characters to increase their chances of dropping one. Unlike PRO, WOW is heavily reliable on insanely low-level drop chances and the cooldown between each time you get a chance to battle a boss for the reward. We should just be thankful that they haven't even thought of adding cooldowns to tier 8 or 9 pokes once you've caught one
  5. I guess I'll bump this post. Currently listning too SAMURAI ☯ Trap & Bass Japanese Type Beat ☯ Trapanese Hip Hop Mix Pretty chill when creating guides or just relaxing online, if you're into Japanese style and or dubstep/bass/Hip hop.
  6. Like your voice. It does kind of sum up everything about PRO, with the exception that PRO is releasing content on a "slow pace". Its true that it has been long since any "major" updates went live, with the exception of Mega forms that happened recently. But we still have new and exciting content for every seasonal events, and for smaller events like Valentine or Halloween, don't you think? In overall, you nailed it with explaining PRO. Although, there is still that small little ekstra detail that is missing be able to fully sell it to others. But, as a video and content editor myself, I can see you've put a bit of effort into this one. Well done.
  7. +1 For the suggestion. Well, its in the tier 9 for a reason. Its the rarest of the rarest... There is no one rarer to spawn then these Pokes. There is a reason that tier 9 is called "Extremely Rare". Finding one is ultimately all about luck or a chance to repel the poke to avoid all the encounters and have a easier time hunting. While 400 encounters sounds like a lot, its not a whole lot... I've hunted a tier 9 Poke for a entire day, on a place that is always available. I believe 400 is nothing in comparrison to what I encountered that day. I never once got the Pokemon I wanted and I also wasted a BM. However, that is how Pokemon hunting is supposed to be. You take risks and sometimes you earn something and sometimes you loose. If you're not prepared to loose something in order to maybe gain something else, then Pokemon is not the right game for you. TLDR: Grinding is everything on PRO and grinding a tier 9 is the worst possible thing a person can go through on PRO.
  8. +1 Although, I actually think that Keldeo should remain unchanged. There is no good explanation for why I think so, it just feels more natural to re-enter the cave, should the server crash in the middle of the battle or you accidentally faint it. As for Cresselia, they should have implemented it already for Boss Nikola, from what @Waleed1301stated in his F.A.Q on Cresselia Quest. However, PRO's wiki page has not been updated with it, so I cannot confirm whether or not Waleed is right about this in his guide. Here is a quote from his FAQ:

Well, if I were to compare this suggestion to another game's mecahnism, I would say it resembles World of Warcraft's flight system. Which makes you visit the other NPC to unlock it. However, as @Norexexplained above, if you are unfamiliar that there actually exists a system for this, then I suppose this isn't a suggestion to improve the already existing system in-game, but you being unaware of the current systems that exist. But I'll just relay my thought for potentially why a new system is or isn't needed on PRO. In some cases, a new system could have been the ideal way to treverse the PRO universe. However, it would stride from what Pokemon had implemented for its prior games as transportation and the current systems in place right now is more or less "unique" to PRO. With the replacement of HM Fly outside battles, other systems were implemented to make it easier for the player to travel between cities and also serve as a great moneysink. If I were to remove something and replace it with a better system, it would be the teleport system for Hoenn and Sinnoh. Its kind of boring if you ask me, unlike walking into a train station, either in Saffron/Goldenrod City or in any Pokecenter underground. The current transit system is a okay moneysink, but I actually think that adjusting prices for popular areas would be a decent solution. But it can become quickly biased and people would just teleport to the nearby town to save a few Pokedollars, and there is no good way to avoid that. TL;DR Current systems in place right now are okay and a decent moneysink. I would change Hoenn and Sinnoh teleport system for something more unique and interesting. Adjusting prices for different cities are a decent suggestion, but can quickly become biased and people would tp to the nearest town to save a few bucks.
  10. Changelog #4: Added a "World Quest" section to every Pokemon that can be found on Birth Island Added information related to legendaries: Which counterpart(s) to catch to unlock spawning that legendary Chances for a legendary to spawn Added information related to pseudo-legendaries: What chances to encounter that pseudo-legendary That every psuedo-legendary will have their H.A (Hidden Ability) Which other psuedo-legendaries that you can encounter Added a short guide on how to participate in a World Quest and how to gain the Mysterious ticket Forum guide and a Youtube video explaining how World Quest works Fixed up some BBcode formatting along the way. Added some more information to the following legendaries: Suicune, Raikou and Entei Added the explaination for each legendary beast (i.e Entei is said to represent the flames that burned the Brass Tower) Updated some information on the following legendaries: Latios and Latias Updated the section for "Change your legendary" Regirock, Regice and Registeel Removed that you could only catch one of the titans. Added a new section for Regice only (explaining that you can still encounter a Regice if you caught one during 2017 winter event and didn't choose one as part of the legendary titans quest) Some other changes in relation to updating some BBCode parts here and there to match the supported version
  11. Welcome to PRO @Olibriss Should you find yourself looking for information on a certain Pokemon on PRO, then check out Complete PRO Pokedex. #SelfPlug It has features related to PRO, such as spawn locations, boss name and reward tier, excavation rarity (+ minimum discoveries), evolve criteria (and if PRO has altered it) and much more. Hope you'll enjoy your time on PRO, even though it sadly has some issues with server crashes lately.
  12. Can't we all just get ourselves a special Valentine form Giratina?

    SERIOUS FIX

If you don't know how a game is coded or if you don't know coding at all, then please don't make wild assumptions on how it works. Nevertheless claim that this or that is what's causing it. Because people will believe things so easily and then spread that misinformation elsewhere. As a part-time hobby coder myself (not in relation to PRO), I can confirm that what the staff above has said, is in fact true. Adding new items should not increase the chances of the server crashing or increase the intervals between each crash. And I am sure that the developers are bug-testing any event before it goes live. World Quest doesn't seem to be interfering with how often the server crashes, so I'm sure you can't blame it on that either. For all we know, it could be a memory leak somewhere in the code that's causing the server to bleed and eventually crash and restart. If that's the case, then items, wq's, outbreaks and events could be almost certainly be left out of the equation. Also, this is exactly why random players keep on spreading missinformation on PRO atm, because people believe in the same things as the OP does. I suggest that you forget whatever previous knowledge you had on this. Also... I cannot let this one sentence go unnoticed. PRO's developers are in fact more or less knowledgeable enough to create and maintain a game on this scale and continue to push updates and new content on a regular basis. I believe that if you don't think they are "professionals", you must be either ignorant or blind. They've done so much to improve this game since I first joined in 2017. So saying that they aren't good enough to handle this problem and that PRO has to consult or outsource a "professional developer" is such a disrespectful thing to say. You should be ashamed of yourself for even uttering those things. And I know that someone will eventually say "But if they are professionals, why haven't they fixed it yet, huh?". Because even professionals use time and resources. Because its not easy to debug something on that scale, if it was, PRO would be fixed by now. Anyway, I'm not here to start any flame. Just here to give people the lession they need in order for them to wake up.

    Pokéclock IRL

Looks nice! Pretty clean code for the timers as well. The only drawbacks to this would be the Google sheets itself. Simply for having limited resources to work with and its hideous design imo. And that it can only be displayed in a set timezone without having to allow write access. If only google would allowed single block altering, without it saving. This would have had a much better impact. Apart from that, well executed.
  15. I mean, in the end you did loose your one chance to battle and capture the Pokemon that you had been rewarded with after today's WQ. I myself would be pretty depressed, after spending almost 9 and a half hours today only to experience that without any prior warning. Basically the reason why I mentioned this:
  16. Exactly! Birth island is basically not explained to the player upon joining it, unless you decide to investigate what it is. You're basically on your own from the get-go. While some players often do tend reach out in chat, asking what this and that are. And at most times get a decent answer that would help them sort things out. There are others that tends to go look on the forums, which happens to have this lovely guide to help explain the whole WQ and mystery ticket. And others that visit the support section on PRO's Discord for help. But, there is also sadly the common player who do not do any of these 3 to seek out help, and thus falls victim to what you experienced.
  17. It would be nice to notify the common player in a simple way (i.e someone who don't use the forums for any guides or the wiki page) A confirmation message before entering the battle, would at least make them aware that they can in fact leave the island and come back, before fighting the boss with a sync Pokemon. Or come prepared with a Masterball, should it be a Legendary. And perhaps having a second confirmation on the "surrender/run" when fighting the boss? But why? Some would maybe think "Oh, but if I run, I can re-battle it, because it's not "dead". This in theory could also lead to many unaware players doing this simple mistake and loose their one chance to fight it. +1 to this suggestion. While it has no "negative" side to it, it could in some cases be annoying for "pro" players that often travels there. But, in the grand schemes of things, it will be worth it to help the common player, who at some point will travel there.
  18. In the meantime, you can always try out BetterHunt, which essentially is the same, but improved on some areas. I know it may seem biased of me to reccomend it, because I know the developers behind it, but this is not to advertise or reccomend it on a personal level. It seems like betterfarm is no longer actively supported by the looks of it, meanwhile BetterHunt still is.
  19. But @g3n3r4l still has a valid point. From reading a few of his comments on other suggestions, he may be against most of them and give them a "-1". But most of the time he has concrete and valid points and arguments. I believe that it is biased to render his opinion in favour of a staff's idea contra a regular user's idea. I would say that he is contributing equally to a suggestion rather than just give it a "+1", agree on everything and move on. Its especially important to see both the negative and positive side of a suggestion. While he may focus mostly on the negative on some, it doesn't render his opinion worthless in that regards. As a final comment to this. Being respectful towards other user's opinion(s) is a important key factor to improve any and every suggestion. If it wasn't contructive feedback, I would understand your point. However in this case, it was a constructive feedback that he gave us. If you want to further discuss this @rhev, I'll be more than happy to discuss this in private. Click this to start a conversation with me. To not slide too far away from the topic at hand, I will give my honest opinion below. As that was my orginal intent, but I could not just ignore such a disrepectful comment right in front of me. My honest opinion on this suggestion: While someone has mentioned already, there is a confirmation message right before releasing the Pokemon into the wild. If the user in fact does ignore this and still release it. It is entirely their fault for not checking twice to ensure it was the right Pokemon. It will not, as mentioned in the OP, reduce the amount of requests made to the megathread about restoring Pokemon by implemeting this suggestion sadly. Simply put, because users would still release it by accident, but why? They could release a regular Pokemon by accident, which means whether it had special border or not, it would not prevent them from releasing the Pokemon either way. On the other hand, it would stand out if you accidently do put your shiny or event-exclusive Pokemon in the release bin. Maybe it could aid some unfortunate souls who in the nick of time noticed it, right before clicking "confirm" by the change of confirmation message/frame skin. What I would have done to improve this suggestion a step further: I would have included a double confirmation message when trying to release a event-exclusive or shiny Pokemon. By doing so, the user would quickly understand that something is wrong, before acting a second time. Here are some PROs and CONs about your suggestion. PROs: Could in some cases prevent a few users from releasing a event/shiny pokemon by accident. Would improve the current system that don't differ between shiny, event or normal Pokemon releases. New design is always a plus. CONs: Would not completely erase the fact that people would still release Pokemon by accident. Would not reduce the requests made to the megathread about restoring Pokemon (I may in some degree lighten the requets made, but would still be a issue) With a PC box update soon, the suggest may have already been resolved by a new feature or a rework. Even with a different frame border, it would in most cases not matter if the user is fast enough to click. I'm neither for or against this suggestion, but I've given my PROs and CONs regarding it. Because as @g3n3r4lsaid, there will eventually be a PC Box update that may also improve or has improved the current release system. Thus, this suggestion may have already been solved in the future PC Box update.
  20. Take care and hopefully PRO didn't treat you too harshly.
  21. Changelog #3: Manually fixed a formatting issue that arised from a broken BBCode clusure for bold formatting for Gen 1. (Still a issue on gen 2 to 5) Other problems: Code blocks (for the spawn locations) had more whitespaces on top. This is wasting a lot of space. This was spotted on generation 1 to 5 where the formatting issue was found. It is most likely a side-affect. Comment: I have fixed Generation 1 with the expcetion of the code blocks including the spawns. Those will be fixed when I have the stamina to manually adjust them all. I will continue to fix the broken formatting code manually for gen 2 through 5. Because fixing it automatically with BBCode is no longer a possibility. Simply because each text size for every Pokemon's name was done manually, and I do not wish to go over 721 names again and manually adjust the sizes a second time. And a lot of rich-text formatting was also implemented throughout, because BBCode for those features were no longer supported. I swear I have clicked a million times since I first created this thread. And automatically adjusting is no longer possible, everything will now be manually adjusted. Let's hope this goes without further side-effects to the already existing code. Expected ETA on fixing the formatting issues and codeblocks: ~ 1-3 days (maybe today, if I pour my heart and soul into it)
  22. I did not actually complete or start this year's Valentine quest. But I did read about it in guides. However, last year I did complete the 2020 Valentine event. Compared to major events, like the summer event or christmas event. It is expected to be smaller, because it is not what I would call a "seasonal" event, but rather a one-time yearly event. Even thought I did not directly complete or do this year's valentine quest, I still find it a good addition to the game in the long haul. More content, regardless of quality or quantity, is still something that will take this game to greater heights. Enjoyment: From what I could tell, from not playing it. A solid 7/10, as its nothing that immediately caught my eye. But for a smaller event, with some interesting lore from what I could gather, it would most likely be experienced as a good event by most of the playerbase. Especially those who enjoy the "season of love" and those who also love new content in overall. Quest Difficulty: As someone who relies on guides, I would probably get myself lost for sure, regardless of the difficulity. And I did notice that it did not take long for a guide to be available on this year's event, which is a big positive thing. I'm sure many appriciated those guides, if not, they are sadly missing out on some great quality content event guides. Story/Lore perspective: As for the lore, as much as I could gather from guides. It does provide some interesting lore here and there. But I cannot go into details on them, as I have not experienced the quest myself. Effort/Reward Ratio: As for the rewards, it may be a bit on the low-end, compared to the effort it seems the players must go through. But again, that's from the perspective of just reading the guides. And its not a big seasonal event, but rather a one-time yearly event. Its expected to not reward the players with the most epic items. However, maybe the quantity could have been increased for the more uncommon items the players was awarded with. I'm sure many can agree that repeating the same event year after year without new event content (i.e quests or items) the game will become stagnent, even for the newest players at some point. And PRO has somewhat kept up the trend to continue having new and exciting content each year. Hope for a equally good or possibly better event next year too.
  23. Changelog #2: Added a new section on index post. Added a new tinyurl link. Added a new Bit.ly link. Comment: I'm still considering adding sprites to every Pokemon. But I'm still testing out whether it loads through spoiler interaction or if everything loads seperately when the page loads. Should it be the latter, I will not add sprites to not increase loading times for low-end PCs. Also considering adding repel-trick spots to every Pokemon that has one. It will be another large task, but I'm not sure if its a feature people would want just yet.
  24. Changelog #1: Updated and also finalized all BBCode and Rich text formatting for all 6 generations. Added the respective banners for each generation and a text helping the user understanding how to find the content. Removed Imgur links and replaced them with uploaded attachments to make sure they load in, as long as the forums is working correctly. Added spoilers for each generation to decrease loading times on the main post and page. (Opening spoiler will now load the content within. That's at least how I understand it) Some last moment changes to #721 Volcanion before finalizing the gen 6. Added "How to obtain its seen and caught data" with the new summer event 2020. Moved the previous way to "previous methods" section below it. Added links to a forum guide and a youtube guide. Clicked nearly half a million times... Yes, for real. That's not even exaggerating a tiny bit. My hands feel destroyed. (BBCode is the way to go... #BringItBack >w< ) Not watched a single episode of Anime for the last 4 days, while trying to complete this rework after my work day ended. About 10,000+ lines of code changed, from 17,000 lines to 20,000 lines of BBCode with much alteration inbetween. Added a "helpful topics" section with LOTS of useful guides to other amazing creators. Comment: With all the generations sucessfully added, I'll slowly but steadily begin making the framework for generation 7 and 8, as well as the artwork for the two Hopefully people will enjoy this content, and keep on supporting this guide throughout the years and tell their friends. Want to contribute? Any contribution to it whatsoever is always welcome. As long as its constructive feedback or information that will help the thread in a good way, its always welcome. PM me or reply in this thread. If you do decide to post a reply, be sure that it complies with PRO's rules. Enjoying the content? If you want to show your appriciating towards all the effort I went through to make this for PRO. Feel free to give it a reaction, follow it (for future updates notifications) or tell a friend and share it around. The more people that is aware of this, the better it will serve the community. What was my main goal for this thread? A pokedex that had more information than the one in-game and the ones already existing on the forums. I want this megapost to serve as a place where people can check out a certain Pokemon and find the information they need or find new exiting information. Whether it be spawn locations, legendary quests, events, how to get its seen data, what level it levels up or what items, time of day or moves it needs and where to get them. In short: A place to come if you want to find some information about a Pokemon related to PRO.
