+1 All good points have been pointed in the previous points, just want to reinforce that having to wait 10 mins after a game for your guildie to find an game and then just to find another person was in the line waiting just makes it feel so unrewarding to pvp sometimes, on top of the fact that there is no elo rating system.

First and foremost, if you're interested in a mega tournament, click like on this post so that i can get a head count of how many people would actually sign up. Both Gold and Silver can sign up. THE MORE PEOPLE THAT LIKE THE POST, THE LOWER ENTRY COST WILL BE (proportional to the rewards of course, I have to net even somehow) Ex: If the prize money adds up to 2mil and theres about 50 people interested, the entry fee would be 40k, whereas if there's 100 people interested than it would drop to 20k Now that that's out of the way, hello, I would like to host a tournament to in commemoration of megas finally being added. In this post, there will be a number of polls to see how big of a prize pool people want, would people rather it hosted on showdown or the test server, etc. I will go further into how the tournament will be formatted once I have the general idea of what people would like to see. However, since the prize pool will be considerably large, this tournament will be double elimination, bo3, with bo5 in the top 4/8 depending on size on the tour. If the thread gets more people than I expect however, don't be surprised if I switch over to a group format for the first round. If it is banned in pro, it'll be banned here. That also means aegislash and ash-greninja will be allowed, but most importantly, landorus-incarnate will be allowed. Ditto with imposter will also be allowed, seeing as they are getting close to be able to make it work. Anything that isn't coded in pro will not be allowed (here's looking at you regigigas). Lastly, if anyone has suggestions, reply and post it here, I'll consider them and maybe reply to introduce them as well.

Just make it an increment time like chess and showdown, you get 5-15 secs back per move, and your time caps at 3 mins so that someone can't time stall for like 20 hours if they build up enough time. This way you can still think for as long as normal on turns that are important while not having it ruin you later in the match if you need another turn to think.

Username: RogueAngel Server: Silver Season you were Top25/Screenshot of your current rating: Your voting: No, do not allow gems in PvP (except normal gem, if you read reasoning you'll see why) Your reasoning: My reasoning is very simple, for the fact that the only gem that you can possibly obtain in gen 7 is normal gem. If we are going based off gen 7 mechanics, you cannot go half-assed about it. Already having gen 7 mechanics without the pokemon makes it not authentic, and allowing gems would make that even worse, even moreso the fact that gems weren't allowed in gen 6 either, which the meta is more in common with. It is not because I think the gems are broken or anything, in fact i think most are very niche or even down right outclassed by other items, with the exception of flying and normal gem. Hawlucha is the only pokemon that can really make good use of a gem, and even then, with zapdos being released it allows us to make use of its best counter. Of course, the only gem i believe that should be allowed is normal gem, seeing as it is actually obtainable outside of gen 5. But otherwise, they are generally outclassed items that shouldn't be obtainable in the first place, so i believe they have no place in PvP, go use them in the item recycle or something.
