You can only counter that with lock on and sheer cold if you don't get swaggered in the 1st place. :Crazy: Seriously tho, Smogon has proven that it's possible to play enjoyable competitive pokemon with a healthy metagame. Also tiering (unfortunately not in the game) gives a chance to all mons, regardless of their terrible stats or movepool given by GameFreak, to be used in battle and not be some trash pokemon for dex. Just like Confuse ray(ghost type) hits normal types. this is how it is in the base games as well.
