2. Hello everyone, This auction ended forcefully by the auctioneer's actions in trading the Teddiursa before the end point. As such, to ensure that every bidder, has an equal chance to fight for it, an extension is warranted. The actions listed by Kimew, have been reversed. The new end point is in 22 hours from the moment of this post. The current offer is 1.25m by @Kellsbelles. Every other parameter remains unchanged. Thread unlocked. Good luck.

 6. @Konservatif, Yes you're correct, @Crimsonxy wins the auction with 170k. @Samaygupta's bid is invalid as it was after the auction had already ended. In the future, I would recommend reporting the auction. This will cause all Trade Moderators to be notified ,rather than just me, resulting in faster response time. Sincerely, Tandemaus

 16. Hello there @Lonestar4877 The requirements for this quest changed in a recent update. You now require all non-legendary caught data for Hoenn and Hoenn Champion to start the Regi Trio quest. You are still missing over half of the caught data for Hoenn. I hope this helps. Have a great day! Houndstone

Hello @Alaistar, I don't know if you've READ or AWARE of the auction rules but it states that "If you intend to make payment from an alt account, different to the one used to make the bid on forums, specify clearly which account the payment will be made from." PRO Auction Rules Which means you have to mention which account your payment will be used or from.

 27. Welcome to the Frequently Asked Story Questions Manual! This manual is specifically made for Help chat helpers, Discord Moderators and anyone who is constantly helping in General Support or ingame or in Discord. This guide/manual aims to answer almost all possible story questions unrelated to specific pokemon, pvp stuff, bosses, or anything too in-depth. This guide just answers most Story questions that are repeated nonstop throughout Discord and Ingame. With this handbook, you should be able to help out any newbie! We don't tackle mechanics here, this will be tackled on in other guides. This is the second part this guide will be divided in. This guide will try to cover Story related questions that are commonly asked nonstop everywhere. Here we will tackle the Johto Region, as the other regions will be tackled in future parts! I will be editing this with possible new questions that may arise in the future. (like Missions and other optional stuff) Let’s begin! Q: How do we get to Johto? A: After you have beaten the Kanto Elite Four, you can immediately enter Johto! You need to head to the Victory Road Entrance first. From Pallet Town to Route 1, to Viridian City, west to Route 22 and in front of the Victory Road Entrance. Now we will go South. We will reach Route 27 now. Keep heading southwest to Route 26 and then keep heading west nonstop. You will finally reach an Abra. BIG WARNING: Once you enter Johto, ALL YOUR KANTO POKEMON WILL BE LOCKED IN YOUR PC. You will not be able to use them until you have beaten Johto’s 8 gyms. Unequip any items your pokemon may be holding. When you enter Johto, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GO BACK TO KANTO ONCE YOU BEAT ALL GYMS. Prepare a LOT of useful TM and items in your bag before you head in, because once you enter, there is no going back! Q: When can we use Dig and check Pokestops in Johto? You can Dig and use the Pokestops after the 8 Johto Gyms are defeated. Q: When can I trade in Johto? Unlike Kanto, you can trade as soon as you reach the first pokecenter, with no badges. Q: Which are the Johto starters? Totodile, Cyndaquil and Chikorita. Personal opinion: Totodile is the best starter. You can teach it Surf, Dig and other useful TM that you can use to rush the region quickly or beat it easily. Most of the moves he learns are amazing. Cyndaquil does not learn as good moves as Totodile but he hits hard and he is useful. Additionally, Cyndaquil is very strong against all Gyms except the last one. Chikorita is literal garbage. If you chose this starter, I would legit recommend you to seek professional help. I don’t understand why. His moveset is bad, he is bad against ALL the gyms in the region. There is NO reason to pick it. NONE. This is the hard/extreme mode for Johto. Q: When can I use my Kanto pokemon again? When you beat 8 badges. You can’t go back now! Q: I can’t enter the first gym! Beat the Sprout Tower in the north in Violet City first. Q: How do we beat the first gym? What type advantage can we use? The first gym is the Flying type gym. This can be easily beaten by using Rock, Electric, Ice and Steel types. You can find some Rock types in Dark Cave and this gym is a breeze. Q: What's the secret pokemon in Bellsprout Tower? It’s a Gastly. Pick it up! If you get a good one it’ll carry you through Johto Q: How do we gain access to Azalea gym? You need to beat the Rocket Grunts in Azalea Well (Slowpoke Well) Q: I can’t beat Christina! She’s too strong! GIT GUD. Just kidding, use a Geodude with Sturdy and Selfdestruct. Easy! Q: How can we beat the second gym? The second gym is the Bug type gym. Rock, Fire, Flying types completely wreck this gym. You can use some Rock and Flying types you found in the previous routes. The Leader’s Scyther is 4 times weak to Rock type attacks! Q: I can’t continue through Ilex Forest! What do I have to do? You must find and catch the Farfetch’d in the Forest. Talk to it so it moves around until it goes back to its owner! Q: This Goldenrod part is very confusing. How do I proceed? I will try to explain it by sorting the questions in the order you must tackle this mini quest. Q: I can’t enter the gym! Where do I go? First you need to talk to the Policeman and Whitney in front of the Radio Tower in Goldenrod. Q: How can we make the policemen fall asleep? Where can we buy the needed item? You first need a pokemon with the move Sleep Powder. There are a few options for this, but the most recommended one is to capture a Caterpie in Ilex Forest, level it to 11 and let it evolve to Metapod, then level it to 12 and let it evolve to Butterfree, and at level 13 you will learn Sleep Powder. Afterwards, you need to purchase two Fresh Water in the top floor of Goldenrod Department Store in the vending machines. Q: The guard does not want to fall asleep! How can we make him fall asleep? The first guard you have to subdue is the one that is in the Underground. There are two houses with entrances to the Underground in Goldenrod: one is to the southwest of the Casino and the other is in the North in Goldenrod. When you go in the Underground, fight a few trainers and you will see a small horizontal corridor in the Underground. The Guard keeps moving in and out of it. To subdue the Guard, you must wait until he is VERY deep in the Corridor. Then, speak to him with a Sleep Powder pokemon and a Fresh Water in your bag, and you will be able to make him sleep. Now, go back to the Policeman in front of Radio Tower and speak to him again. Now you can go and subdue the other one. The other one is in the Basement of the Department Store. Enter the building (it’s the one to the right of the Pokecenter) and enter the Elevator. Go to B1F. Now, talk to the Guard with a Sleep Powder pokemon and a Fresh Water and you will be able to continue! Q: Where is Michael? I need to talk to him! Michael is in a house in the Southeast in Goldenrod. It’s near the original games’ Bike Shop. Q: Where can the stolen pokemon be found? The stolen pokemon are hidden in the Small boxes you will see in this long corridor. You need to talk (interact) with the small boxes. There should be from 5 to 6 pokemon there. Keep in mind they are hidden and you cannot see the pokemon themselves, just the small boxes. Q: The guards keep catching me and I keep being kicked out! How do I avoid them? If a guard spots you, when the ! Message appears, or when they start speaking to you, before this dialogue ends, press the Escape key in your keyboard and click Log Out. Then log back in. You will have escaped this situation without being kicked out. Q: What's the correct lever order? Just so you can know: fighting or not fighting the trainers here DOES NOT AFFECT THE LEVER ORDER. ALL trainers except the Director ARE OPTIONAL. The doors look invisible, but they are that grey mark on each wall that you can clearly see if you look closely. Once you activate a lever, some will let you go through, and some will close down. The correct lever order is: A C D F B E. You can interact with the levers in this order and not fight any trainers until you’ve resolved the entire puzzle and beaten the Director. There is a lever just before the puzzle that resets all the levers so you can retry the puzzle. Buy a few Escape Ropes so you don’t get stuck! Q: What do I do now? When you’ve beaten the Director, talk to the Policeman and Whitney. You’ll now be able to challenge Whitney in her Gym. Q: How do I defeat Whitney easily? Her Clefairy is now a Fairy Type, and it’s weak to Poison and Steel types. Steel types are rare but you can capture Zubat and Spinarak if needed. She is not the real problem though (even if she randomly uses Metronome and she Explodes). The problem is MILTANK The GODDAMN MILTANK. Miltank is a Normal type with very high stats that is only weak to Fighting Type attacks. You can capture a few Makuhita in Slowpoke Well and train them in Route 34. They completely wreck her. You can also use the Drowzee you obtained from the Trade in Goldenrod. Q: Who do we bring the Spearow to? Some Guards block the way in Route 35! You need to bring the Spearow to a Guard just below the Gym in Goldenrod. He’s a bit hidden between houses. He’s below Michael! If this does not work, talk to the NPCs inside of Michael’s House too. Q: A tree is blocking my path in Route 36. How do I move him? Go back to Goldenrod. Enter the house right next to the Gym. Speak to the girl in the left. She will give you the Squirtbottle after you beat Whitney. You’ve finally beaten the entire Goldenrod Quest! Q: What's the abandoned pokemon in Goldenrod? It’s a Spinarak. Q: Where do I get the Macho Brace? There are two NPC in front of Goldenrod Pokecenter. One of them will trade you a Drowzee for a Machop that holds the Macho Brace. You can capture Drowzee in Route 34. He’s very common and easy to find, so capture one and give it to him! Q: What is the Bug Catching Contest? Do we get any rewards? Are there cool pokemon in it? You can read more about the Bug Catching Contest here. There are very rare pokemon you can only find here. Once a day you will have 20 minutes to compete and catch the rarest possible pokemon! You can earn very good rewards, some Megastones, PvP items and hunt some extremely rare pokemon. Try it! Q: Why can’t I enter Ecruteak’s Gym? You need to find Morty in the Burned Tower. Q: What are these three legendary pokemon in the Burned Tower? They are Raikou, Entei and Suicune. They are three obtainable legendaries with their own Legendary Quest you can do later in the game. Q: How can we beat Morty? Morty is probably the hardest Gym Leader (aside from Claire) in Johto. The best way is by using an overleveled Gastly or by using multiple Rattata with Sucker Punch. Sucker Punch will always hit first, with priority, 80 base damage and Dark type, which will demolish him. This move will only work if Morty uses attacking moves against you, but since he’s a bit dumb, he will let you win easily. Ghost and Dark types are the best way to counter him, and Normal types are immune to his Ghost type attacks. Keep an eye on his Gengar, it’s the dangerous one! Q: Why can’t I enter Olivine Gym? You need to visit Olivine Lighthouse first. Q: What do we have to do to help Jasmine's Ampharos? To help Jasmine’s Ampharos, you need to get the Secretpotion In Cianwood City. Q: How can we get the Super Rod? You can only purchase the Super Rod if you previously obtained the Old Rod for free in Vermillion City and purchased the Good Rod for 15k in Fuchsia City. Do not worry if you don’t have them now, you can obtain them later! Q: How do I reach Cianwood City? You need to head west from Olivine City and keep surfing through Routes 40 and 41 to the southwest. Q: Who do we speak to to get the Secretpotion? In the southern house in Cianwood there is an elder woman (she’s literally called Secretpotion Maker, for god’s sake lol). Talk to her and she will give it to you. Q: How do we defeat the 5th gym? The gym in this city is a complete pushover, to be honest. Fighting types are very weak against Fairy, Flying and Psychic types. You can find a lot of Flying and Psychic types on the way to Cianwood. Additionally, Ghost types are immune to Fighting type attacks, so you can use them too! Q: I Defeated Chuck. Now what? Go back to the Lighthouse and give the potion to Ampharos. The leader will now wait for you in Olivine Gym. Q: How do I defeat the gym? She keeps destroying me! This gym is not hard but annoying AS HELL. The main issue is that ALL her pokemon have the ability Sturdy, which makes them be able to survive a hit from full HP. So, how do we cheese this gym? I’ll tell you how NPC Abilities work. Normal trainers and gym trainers pokemons’ abilities are RANDOMISED each time you fight them. The leader has four pokemon that have a 47.5% chance of having Sturdy. This is the most annoying possible situation, the more Sturdy pokemon she manages to have, the more chances she has to survive and wreck you. So, how do you fight her? Her main weaknesses are Ground, Fighting and Fire types. The best bet is to use Ground types because her Electric and Steel types are 4 times weak to our attacks. The issue is that since she has Sturdy, she gets extra chances to live if she gets lucky and her pokemon have Sturdy. Each time you fight her, it will be completely random that she has Sturdy pokemon or not. Each single fight is a different lottery. I suggest you train a few Geodudes with Sturdy and that you spam Earthquake like a madman and try your luck. By brute forcing this way, you will eventually find a chance where most of her pokemon will not have Sturdy. You can also use multiple Makuhita or multiple Fire types and Fighting types to help you in the fight. Good luck! Q: Where do we go now? You now need to go back to Ecruteak. Then, head east. Go through Mt Mortar and reach Mahogany Town. Q: Why can’t I enter the Gym? You need to head north to Lake of Fury as there is a criminal activity going on in Mahogany. Until you resolve it, you cannot beat the gym. Q: What's in Lake of Fury? Where's the Red Gyarados? In the Lake of Fury, the NPC Chappy awaits you. Talk to him by surfing to the middle of the Lake. He will unlock the Mahogany Hideout for you! Also, there is no Red Gyarados in PRO Q: The guards keep catching me! What do I do? You need to defeat the ones that spawn in front of each Statue. If the guards that walk around catch you, remember to log out and log in before their conversation ends. This will reset their position and you will be able to escape them. Q: How do we get the passwords for the doors in Rocket Hideout? This is a really annoying part: There is a room with 8 computers and 8 guards. The password is in a completely random one, so you might only need to defeat one, eight, or some of them to find it. After you defeat each guard, talk to the respective computer. Later, you need to defeat both Jessie and James. One of their computers has the next password. Q: Who do we have to defeat here now? You need to get deeper and defeat Christina and check their computers and talk to Chatot. You’ll get the remaining Passwords. Now, go back to the beginning and help Lance defeat the Electrodes. Q: What can we use to fight against the gym in Mahogany? Thankfully, Ice types are TERRIBLE. Ice Type Pokemon only resist Ice type attacks. They are very weak to Rock, Fighting, Fire and Steel. Since you should have some Fighting and Fire types trained, you can use them to defeat this gym. Rock types also help, but be careful if they are also Ground types, as Ground is weak to Ice. Thick Fat makes Makuhita very strong against Ice types, so he is an amazing choice for this Gym. Q: How do I pick up the Master Ball in Route 44? It’s a troll made by the Scripter Team in PRO. Blame Corsi. :v Q: How can we get through Ice Path? To get through Ice Path, you need to do a small puzzle where you have to technically and theoretically bounce around some rocks until you find the correct order. There is an easier method though. While you are sliding in the cave, press the Escape key. This will stop you immediately and you will be able to then move towards any direction you want. You can use this as much as you want to redirect yourself and skip the Ice Puzzle entirely. Q: What's this cave behind Blackthorn Gym? It’s Dragon’s Den. It’s the best training spot in Johto. You’ll practically live here during your Johto adventure. Q: How can we defeat Claire? You can easily defeat Claire with a few Swinub with Ice Shard. Her pokemon are weak to Ice, Fairy and Dragon types. However, Dragon types defeat each other easily, so this is the worst choice. Fairy types are immune to Dragon type attacks but they are very rare to find. You can farm many Ice Types in Ice Path and train them up in Dragon’s Den. You can purchase TM Ice Beam in Mahogany Gym and spam Ice Beam and Ice Shard through Claire until you win. If you are hardstuck, you can also try using some Geodude/Graveler/Golem with Sturdy and Explosion. Congrats, you just beat the gym! Q: How do I access the cave in Mt Mortar? You can access it after you defeat the Johto Elite 4. Q: How do we get to Johto Elite Four? Where is it? What types do they have? The Johto Elite Four is the building right next to Kanto Elite Four. You only need to go back to Kanto and go to the Elite Four building just like you did the first time. It’s left from the Kanto one. The Johto Elite Four has: Psychic, Poison, Fighting, Dark and Dragon types. The best pokemon to tackle this are Gengar (Shadow Ball, Psychic, Dark Pulse and Thunderbolt/Icy Wind), Alakazam (Psychic + more attacks), Magnezone (Thunderbolt, Flash Cannon and more attacks), Machamp (Dynamicpunch and more attacks), Mamoswine (Earthquake, Ice Shard, Ice Beam and Ancientpower) and Gyarados (Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Ice Fang and Aqua Tail). Also, Clefable. Train in Victory Road until 80 and then keep refighting the Elite Four for infinite experience until you beat it. Psychic is weak to Bug, Ghost and Dark. Poison is weak to Ground and Psychic. Fighting is weak to Psychic, Fairy and Flying. Dark is weak to Bug, Fighting and Fairy. Dragons are weak to Fairy, Dragon and Ice. Q: What's Mt Silver? Mt Silver is the mountain to the left of Victory Road’s entrance. You unlock it once you defeat Johto’s Elite Four. There are Rocket Grunts and Jackson to defeat. Here you can obtain the Seen data for Raikou (the legendary Pokemon), fight the Terminator Boss, train up your Rattata for Hoenn and fight Red to unlock Trainer’s Valley. Q: How do we access Hoenn? What do we have to train? Can it be someone's else's pokemon? To access Hoenn, you need to defeat Youngster Joey. You can only challenge him if you capture a Rattata and train it to level 80. You can have a friend train your Rattata, but you must’ve caught the Rattata yourself. It cannot be a friend’s. I will link here a guide on how to train a Rattata for this fight. Q: Who do we have to beat? You need to defeat Youngster Joey in the Indigo Plateau, between both Elite Four buildings. His team is formed by 6 level 120 Rattata. If you lose to him you will have to wait 2 hours to rechallenge him. His team can be easily beaten by a Machamp with No Guard and Dynamicpunch. Good luck! Once you enter Hoenn, the same restrictions as when you entered Johto will be applied. You can choose whether to go to Hoenn immediately or not. Talk to the Hoenn Traveler when you’re ready!

 28. This is the last part this guide will be divided in. This guide will try to cover Story related questions that are commonly asked nonstop everywhere. Here we will tackle the Sinnoh Region, the last one! I will be editing this with possible new questions that may arise in the future. (like Missions and other optional stuff) Let’s begin! How do I access Sinnoh? You can follow a guide on how to access Sinnoh here. What should I carry to Hoenn? To Hoenn, you should carry healing items, many TMS and other misc items you may use (like Smoke Balls, type enhancing items like the Plates, etc). If possible, carry a few TM Toxic and TM Dig. You will do the Geodude thing again as you might’ve done with Deoxys and Slaking in Hoenn. I recommend these: Chimchar: Dig, Rock Smash, Shadow Claw, Flamethrower, Brick Break TM. Piplup: Ice Beam, Surf, Toxic. Turtwig: (Are you seriously gonna use this thing?) Dig, and any other TM you may find. Which are the Sinnoh Starters? The Sinnoh Starters are: Chimchar: MONKE. Basically Torchic but improved without a Megaevolution. Mixed attacker with a nice movepool! This is also a great HM Slave. You should totally aim to train this guy. This is the best starter. Fire/Fighting when fully evolved! Piplup: A really cute, tanky and good offensive Water Type starter. When fully evolved it becomes a Water/Steel type. It learns decent moves and it’s overall a solid choice for Sinnoh. Turtwig: Remember Chikorita? Yeah, this guy is almost as garbage as Chikorita is. However, Turtwig’s fully evolved form, Torterra, can actually be an insane force against bosses. In story though, Turtwig is terrible. He’s a very tanky but slow attacker, but it’s fine. The three starters in Sinnoh are usable! Choose whichever you want! I can’t leave the starting town! Enter Barry’s House (your rival’s house). You need to talk to his mom and the rival. I can’t leave Route 201! First you need to go to the Lake with your Rival. Talk to the mysterious dude there and go to Sandgem. I can’t go to Route 202! Enter Sandgem Town’s Laboratory and talk to the Professor. Then, go back to the starting town and speak to your mom. You’ll be able to access it. Where do I find the abandoned pokemon in Jubilife? It’s at the bottom left corner. I can’t leave Jubilife! Visit the school first. Defeat the 4 trainers spread around Jubilife City (they’re all four students from the school). You’ll be able to progress to the Eastern Route afterwards. Where is Roark in Oreburgh? I don’t see him. He’s in Oreburgh Mine, in the southeast inside of the city. Enter it, explore it and talk to him to be able to challenge him in the Gym. How do I defeat Roark? His Cranidos stomps me! The Rock Type gym leader (wow, what a surprise, the first gym is a Rock Type gym! Said no one ever.) has a very strong Cranidos. You can fight him with Ground types, Water types, Grass types and Fighting types. Makuhita is an easy counter to him and it can be farmed in Oreburgh Gate. Even Hariyama spawns there! Where do I get Rock Smash in Sinnoh? You can purchase it in a house in Oreburgh Town. Where do we head now? Who is this Galaxy Team? You need to go back to Jubilife City. Now, try to head north. You will be blocked by this region’s evil team and you will have to defeat a few grunts! I can't enter Valley Windworks. How can I enter it? When you reach Floaroma Town, you will see a few Galaxy Grunts. Go to the east and talk to the little girl next to the bridge. Head back to Floaroma and go to the northwest, to the Flower Field. Beat the grunts there. Go back to the east of Floaroma Town and enter Valley Windworks. Talk to the Grunt and unlock the door, beat the grunts inside and prepare to fight the Galaxy Elite! Her Purugly sweeps me, how can I win? Use a Fighting type against her. She is very weak to them. Makuhita will help you here! What is this Pokemon Mansion in Eterna Forest? In the original games, you obtained Rotom here. Here it’s just a sidequest spot. Ignore it for now. I can't enter the gym. What do I have to do? You need to head to the north in Eterna. You need to enter the big building and fight the grunts there. You must defeat them all. Fight their leader at the top and rescue all the pokemon. To rescue them, you need to interact with all of the pokemon that can be found inside of the building. How do I beat her Skuntank? Her Skuntank is only weak to Ground type attacks. Geodudes will do the job, as they are easily huntable in Oreburgh. How does this gym work? What types do they use? Is there an order we need to fight the trainers in? This gym has five trainers. You must defeat them in the correct order to be able to fight the Gym Leader. If you don’t fight the correct trainer, the next one will not spawn. This gym is the Grass Type gym. It is very weak to Bug, Flying, Ice and Fire type attacks. This gym is a complete pushover! You will easily beat it with any of these type pokemon. How do I go to the next gym now? What route do I need to go to? You need to 100% have a bike here. If you don’t have one, you will have to purchase one in Eterna City. You need to head south through the Bike Route (206) and then head southeast to 207 until you cross Mt Coronet horizontally and reach Hearthorne City. This Onix is blocking my path in Mt Coronet! Am I going the right way? Did you literally ignore the last question? You need to head SOUTH from Eterna City to progress. The Onix is there to prevent you from skipping over two gyms in story. Do I have to fight the Rival to head to Solaceon? Yes. He’s easy to fight, so don’t put up any excuses! What do I do in Solaceon? What’s this Reporter? The Reporter quest is a lategame quest. This does not concern you now, but it’s one of the best daily quests in the lategame. Come back after you complete Story! What are these Psyducks north of Solaceon? PLOT CONVENIENCE. They are there to prevent you from skipping two gyms. Head east to Veilstone City. What are these grunts doing in Veilstone? The Grunts in this region have set their base in Veilstone City. You’ll visit this later. What type is the Veilstone gym? How can we get the secret scrolls? The Fighting Type gym works a bit differently. You need to keep fighting the trainers until you find all the secret scrolls. Then you’ll be able to talk to the Gym Leader directly and beat her! The Gym Leader is weak to Psychic, Fairy and Flying. There’s many Flying types and some Psychic types you can find in the routes before Veilstone. Her Lucario is weak to Fighting (lol), Ground and Fire type attacks though. Use these wisely! How can we help Dawn? You have to fight the Grunts in the northern part in Veilstone. Beat them up with her! Pick up the Key inside of the warehouse. Where do I go now? Head south from Veilstone and keep going south and west nonstop until you reach Pastoria. You will go through several routes, but the key is to keep going south and west and ignoring anything else. How do I get to the leader? How do I beat it? He’s strong! The Water Type gym leader has a very big weakness to both Grass and Electric type moves. His Water/Ground pokemon are 4 times weak to Grass and his Water/Flying pokemon are 4 times weak to Electric type attacks. Use this wisely! Beat all the trainers in the way. I went to Solaceon but nothing happens, I can’t move the Psyducks! You just skipped a big step. I went to Hearthome to beat the fifth Gym but it doesn’t let me challenge it! You just skipped a big step. Where do we have to follow this Grunt to? Who's this Cynthia lady? When you beat Pastoria’s Gym, go to the top right in the city and talk to the Grunt. He’ll make the Bomb explode. You need to keep following him and interacting with him to the east, almost until Veilstone. He’ll fight you near the Lake. Cynthia will appear after you defeat him and she will give you the Secretpotion. Also, she’s the Region Champion. What do we do with the Secret potion? Go back to Solaceon. Now, interact with the Psyducks. They’ll leave and let you in! What town do we have to go now? Who do we have to defeat there? Go northwest nonstop until you get to Celestic Town. Here, you need to talk to the old Woman, defeat the Galactic Grunt, examine the ruins inside and beat the Galactic Leader. Be careful, because his team is very strong! Fighting Types and Fairy Types deal with his team easily though. What now? Go back to Hearthome. Time for the 5th Gym! How do we beat this 5th gym? What's the puzzle? The 5th Gym is the Ghost Type Gym. Everything will be almost completely dark. You need to make your way through the entire gym and choose the right way to be able to challenge the leader. The leader isn’t very tough as long as you use Ghost or Dark type pokemon, and you can also easily beat her by spamming Sucker Punch against her pokemon! Where do we head now? You need to walk back to Jubilife City. Heal up and surf west. You will find a small coast and when you enter the building you’ll find yourself in Canalave City! Do I have to fight the Rival here? Yes. And he’s tough! Enter the Pokecenter before you cross the bridge. Whenever you cross it, he will want to fight you! How do I defeat the 6th gym? How do we get to the leader? You need to keep defeating the trainers that get in your way until you get to the top floor. The Steel Type Gym Leader is very weak to Ground, Fire and Fighting. These types are very common throughout Sinnoh (except Fire lol). Ground and Fighting will do the job. Additionally, some of his pokemon are Rock and Ground types, so you can use Water types to take care of it. Where do I go now? I’m kinda lost. Enter the Canalave Library and speak to the Professor and her Aide to trigger the next story events. What lakes do I have to go now? Who do I help? You first need to go to the lake south from Veilstone. Enter the Lake and defeat all the grunts. Enter the Legendary Pokemon cave and defeat the Galactic Elite there. Then, head back into your Starter Town and visit the Lake there. A small event will trigger. After this, go back to Eterna City. How do I get to the 7th gym? How do we get to the leader? From Eterna City, head east. Enter Mt Coronet and head north. You will have to keep heading north until you find the way out to Route 216. Speak to the Dig Hole in each side of the mountain to have different teleportation spots so you can quickly move through 216, 206, 207, 210, 211 and Mt Coronet Summit! After 216, keep heading north to 217. When you get there, you’ll have to head northeast to reach Snowpoint! In Snowpoint, you will find the Ice Type Gym Leader. To cheese this gym, keep pressing the Escape key to interrupt your movement whenever you’re being carried by the icy movement. You will be able to change your direction wherever you want. Use this to fight all the trainers and the leader! The Leader is extremely weak to Fighting, Rock, Fire and Steel type attacks. As mentioned above, there’s many of these around Sinnoh (specially Steel types in Iron Island, in Canalave). Use them wisely! Brute force will do the job here. What do I do now? Visit the lake just next to Snowpoint. If you need Rock Climb, there is a tutor in Route 206 which will teach it to one of your pokemon. Talk to the Rival in the lake next to Snowpoint. Now, head to Veilstone. How do I proceed? This part is going to very complicated so hear me out: defeat the Grunt in the outside of the Veilstone building and get his password. Check the small Warehouse to get the key you need there. Go around checking the trash bins to get some specific special items. To beat this part, you will need to explore the entirety of Veilstone’s Galaxy Base and keep fighting all trainers, keep checking all items and trash bins and unlocking the way through your passwords and your keys. Finally, defeat the Galaxy Elites and find the Button that the last Elite will guard. You will need to defeat him and activate the button for the story to continue. How can I get to the top of Mt Coronet? You can easily get to the top through Celestic Town, as you will be able to go north or south depending on where you want to head. You will do a lot of trial and error going through Mt Coronet as it is gigantic and it has many secondary paths and caves. You need to keep going up in floors until you reach the top. How can I defeat the Elites now? Git gud! The last few fights will be very tough, but after this, only two final steps remain. When you defeat the last Elites, you can enter the Distortion World. How do I walk through this Distortion World? How do I defeat Giratina? The Distortion world is really creepy. It’s a very dark maze, and it is very confusing to get through (nowhere as confusing and as hard as in the original game, though). You simply need to walk around and test different paths until you get to Giratina and Cyrus. Cyrus has a full team with a lot of Dark Type pokemon. He is extremely weak to Fairy, Bug and Fighting types. Use these types to counter him. Giratina is very weak to Ghost, Dark, Fairy, Ice and Dragon type attacks. You can use multiple Geodudes with Sturdy and Toxic and Giratina will faint before he can take your entire team thanks to the poison. If you choose to beat it head-on, use Ice Types with Ice Shard to be able to damage it before he can damage you, as he is pretty fast, tanky and hits somewhat hard. Good luck! Just saved the world. Now what? Now head back to Veilstone City. Head south nonstop. Instead of going southwest, however, stop in the middle before you go to Pastoria City. Head East. You will be able to get to the last routes in Sinnoh! You’ll be able to reach Sunnyshore City. How do I beat the gym? The gym leader is a complete pushover. He is extremely weak to Ground type attacks, so do not worry. The main issue is the Gym Puzzle. You will have to defeat the trainers and similarly to Mauville, you will need to manipulate the electric barriers to be able to get deeper in the gym. It’s confusing and complicated, but with enough trial and error, you’ll get to the end! I beat it. What now? Head north from Sunnyshore City. Can I go back to Kanto now? No. You cannot use the boat in Canalave or Lilycove to go back until you defeat the Sinnoh Elite Four. How can I get Waterfall to head there? If you for some reason forgot Waterfall, you can find it in Sinnoh Safari Zone 4, next to a policeman. The Safari Zone is in Pastoria City. Is the Victory Road long? No. Actually, Sinnoh’s Victory Road is the shortest. You don’t need to go up or down any floors, you can cross the entire thing without going up or down, just using the stairs and bridges! It’s also easy to get through. What do I need to use to defeat the Elite Four? The Elite Four in this region is harder (or, more exactly, a bit more annoying and slow than the other ones as most pokemon in this Elite Four are tankier and sluggish to defeat. The Elite Four here uses four different types, and the Champion uses an unspecialised team: Bug: Weak to Fire, Rock, Flying. Fire: Weak to Ground, Rock, Water. Ground: Weak to Water, Grass, Ice. Psychic: Weak to Bug, Dark, Ghost. Cynthia uses a mixed team, so you cannot be fully prepared! Good luck in your adventure!

 29. This is the third part this guide will be divided in. This guide will try to cover Story related questions that are commonly asked nonstop everywhere. Here we will tackle the Hoenn Region, as the last region will be tackled in a future guide! I will be editing this with possible new questions that may arise in the future. (like Missions and other optional stuff) Let’s begin! What should I carry to Hoenn before I enter the region? Hoenn has several places where you will be hardstuck. Hoenn is also different to Johto: in Johto, when you defeat the 8th badge, you’ll be able to go back to Kanto. However, once you enter Hoenn, you will NOT be able to go to any region until you defeat the Elite Four in Hoenn. Before you enter Hoenn, stack up on healing items, Leppa Berries (AS MANY AS YOU CAN, pick them up EVERYWHERE in the other two regions), TM Toxic (get five of these if possible, OR MORE. They can be bought in Fuchsia Gym), TM Dig (get five of these if possible from Celadon Department Store). Buy other useful TM in some gyms you might need in the future (for example, TM Earthquake from Viridian Gym and TM Dig help against the first, third, fourth and fifth gym and VS a certain Legendary battle you will have in the region). You will use 5 Geodudes with Sturdy to cheese Norman Gym Leader and the Legendary battle (unless you actually manage to pull it with your own Pokemon) and Mt Pyre has over 30 straight battles without healing, does not grant you EXP nor Pokedollars and if you go back before you beat them all, you have to start over again. Which are the Hoenn Starters? The Hoenn Starters are Mudkip, Torchic and Treecko. Contrary to popular belief, this is probably the only region aside from Kanto where all three choices are good. The issue is that Torchic and Mudkip might need to evolve once to beat certain gyms if you intend to solo the region with your starter (I personally do NOT recommend you do this. Don’t evolve your pokemon and build a full team). Mudkip is amazing if you can teach it TM Dig, Shadow Claw, Surf and Ice Beam (you can purchase these before you enter Hoenn). It will carry you through the story. Torchic is amazing but it has a few issues. You HAVE to evolve it if you want to use Fighting type moves. If you evolve it, you will train it very slowly but it will gain access to an amazing moveset. It’s a risk-reward choice. Same with Mudkip. Treecko is just there. It’s good and decent, it’s just not super good. I can’t access Route 102, what do I do? You need to defeat your rival in Route 103, then go back and speak to the Professor in the starting town. Then you’ll be able to get to Route 102. What's this Wally guy? And this Norman guy? Why can't we challenge them now? Wally is going to be an uninteresting and boring rival you’ll beat a few times in Hoenn Story. Petalburg Gym is actually the 5th gym in the region. You’ll come back to fight (and hate this fight) later on. Who are these team Magma and Aqua? What do they want? It’s the two bad guy teams in Hoenn. You’ll later have to defeat both separately. How do we easily beat Roxanne? Roxanne is a complete pushover. Like Brock, she’s a Rock Type Gym leader. Her pokemon are weak to Ground, Fighting, Grass, Water and Steel. Grass and Water types are very easy to find in the routes before the first Gym, so you can defeat her easily. How can we help this crying investigator and the Old man? When you beat the Gym, talk to the investigator just outside. Now, go to the northeastern Route (116) and enter the Tunnel. Beat the grunt there, talk to the old man and go back and talk to the investigator. Now enter the big building to the left of the Gym. You need to reach the top floor and talk to the President. How can we help the Devon director? You need to carry a Letter for Steven. He will give it to you. You need to bring it to him in Dewford, in Granite Cave. Where is this Steven guy? He’s in the deepest floor and room in Granite Cave, the cave to the northwest of Dewford Town. Where do I find the abandoned pokemon? The abandoned Onix is inside of the cave. What do we have to do now? When you have given him the letter, you now can defeat Dewford Gym! How do we defeat the gym? This gym is easy to fight. The Fighting Type gym is weak to Flying, Fairy and Psychic types. You have access to a few pokemon of each type in the starting routes. Catch a few and use them against the Gym Trainers! I’m a bit confused on what to do now. Where do I go? First you need to talk to the Old Man and go back to Rustboro with the Boat. You need to talk to the President and ask him to give you the Devon Goods to deliver in Slateport. You can go to Slateport by talking to the Old Man, going in the boat to Dewford, then going to Slateport from there. Who do we speak to in Slateport? Devon is in a House just below the Museum. He’s the first investigator you should find there. If you can’t find him, just keep breaking in people’s houses and talk to the NPCs inside. One of them will pick up your Goods. Then, you can visit the Museum! Who do we have to defeat? You gotta defeat the Grunts in the Slateport Museum now. They’re bad guys! Defeat two of them to be able to move on. What's this Trick House? The Trick House is a lategame side area where you can obtain the Houndoomite and farm some other items. Visit it later! Is the Rival fight here hard? Thankfully, it’s not as hard as in the original games What's this New Mauville? It’s a lategame area you will visit to do many sidequests! For now, it remains locked until you complete Hoenn’s Elite Four. What type is the third gym? The third gym is the Ground type gym. It’s very easy to beat with Geodude and other Ground Types you might’ve caught in previously in your adventure. This is why I recommend you buy a few TM Dig before you enter the region. A lot of pokemon can learn this move and defeat the gym easily. There’s a lot of trainers before the third gym, so you should be able to farm properly! How do I cross these barriers? You have to defeat the trainers and interact with the barriers. These barriers are a bit bugged and sometimes they do not work properly. You need to interact with them and find the correct combination so that you eventually get to the Gym Leader. Spoiler alert: they will not cooperate. Is there anything interesting in this Verdanturf Town? Not at all. Unfortunately, Verdanturf is as boring as it was in the original games. How can I go to the eastern route? I don’t have Surf! You don’t have to go there, you have to head north after Mauville. Where can I get Rock Smash here? In Mauville City, there is a NPC in the southeastern house (similar to the original games) that sells you a Rock Smash TM. I’m kinda lost in Route 111 and Route 112. Where do I go? Route 111 is just the way from Mauville to Mt Chimney and Fiery Path. Get to Route 112 going northwest from 111. Ignore the northeastern desert for now. In Route 112, there’s a transport house that you can use to travel to Mt Chimney (just above the 4th gym town) or there’s also Fiery Path. I can't go to Mt Chimney! Where do I go? See that cave next to the dudes sleeping in front of the house? Yea, go in there, in Fiery Path. You’ll have to keep heading north and exit through the other side. What’s this Excavation thing? It’s a lategame daily activity you can use to hunt really rare pokemon and make STOINKS. I’ll leave a guide linked here. Ignore this for now. Alright, I got to the other side. What now? You can heal up in a house here if you talk to the old lady (yes, because intruding someone’s house and using it as a Pokecenter is a completely normal thing). Then, head northwest to Route 113. You’ll need to continue to Fallarbor Town and then west and south to 114 and Meteor Falls. What is this Jackson dude doing in Meteor Falls? PLOT CONVENIENCE. Just defeat him. Where did the Grunts go? They went to Mt Chimney. You have two choices now: you either backtrack all the way to Fiery Path’s entrance, or you go south from Meteor Falls and go through Route 115, Rustboro, Route 116, Verdanturf Tunnel, Mauville City, 111, 112 and you use the transport. They’re hard to defeat! What do I do? Git gud. They’re mainly Dark type users, so you can use some Fighting pokemon you found along the way. Numel, Machop and Makuhita (Numel for Poison types) will help you a lot. I defeated them, what now? Pick up the meteorite from the machine and go south. Go south through Jagged Pass (remember that here is the secret Magma Grunt base, spoiler alert for a 18 year old game, so you will have to go back later). Now, you’ll end up in 112, but over the small hill. Go left to Lavaridge. What the hell is this puzzle? I can’t get to the gym leader? Let me explain how this works: Lavaridge’s Fire Type gym is divided in two adjacent maps, one ontop of the other. If you jump in a hole, you’ll fall in the map below. If you step on another hole, you’ll be teleported upwards. You have to keep guessing which hole is the right one (that’s what she said) to teleport into the correct places in the gym. Keep in mind you will have to remember which path you took the last time so you can know where you need to fall to progress. It is going to be very repetitive, so if needed, draw a map on a paper sheet so you can know where to fall and where not to. What can we use to beat the gym leader? This gym leader is a complete pushover. She’s extremely weak to Ground, Rock and Water types, as she mainly uses Fire type pokemon. These pokemon are literally everywhere, and not only that, since you have the HM Surf, you can teach it to all Water Type pokemon and run over her team. You should never be stuck here. What's this guard blocking in Lavaridge? Valley of Steel, which is an extra area for the lategame. Ignore this for now! Where's the 5th gym? The 5th gym is back in Petalburg. Yes, that small town at the beginning. And, spoiler alert, the Normal Type gym leader is your dad! (The only dad in the entire series that went to buy milk and actually came back). What's the fastest way to reach the leader? Alright, you can really get to the leader by just going straight all the way. However, I REALLY recommend you just fight ALL the trainers for extra experience. Don’t avoid anyone because you will need this experience for later. I keep being beaten, this gym leader is too strong! Alright, this gym leader is a bit special and there are ways to cheese this. You can use Ghost Types (which are immune to his Normal type attacks) and use moves such as Curse to deal % damage every turn or Toxic to slowly wear them down. Confuse Ray and Hypnosis can also help out. Otherwise, you can bruteforce through it with Fighting Types. They’re really useful here. How do I beat the Slakings? For the Slakings, I will explain how their ability works. Truant makes them only attack once every two turns. Thus, they will work like this: Slaking attacks. Now it doesn’t. Slaking attacks. Now it doesn’t. Slaking attacks. Now it doesn’t. If you listened to my advice in the literal first question and you bought TM Toxic and TM Dig, continue reading. Otherwise, skip this part. The way you can cheese them is with low level Geodude with Sturdy. I’ll explain how. Teach TM Dig and TM Toxic to your Geodude with Sturdy at a low level. You will do this. In the first turn, you will Toxic and Slaking will attack you. If you succeeded and he is poisoned, click Dig in the second turn. He will be unable to attack and you will dig down. In the third turn, he will attack first, but since you’re underground, he can’t touch you. You will attack last. In the fourth turn, he can’t attack, and you can Dig again. This cycle repeats until he faints. You can repeat this for the other Slaking and you’ll get through it! I won! Now, where do I go? Head back to Mauville by surfing through Route 103 to Route 110 and walk north to it. Then, head east to Route 118 and keep going northeast to find Route 119. This route is long and it’s divided in two parts! What do I have to do in the Weather Institute? You have to defeat the leader of the Grunts. Most of the Grunts are optional, but you should definitely fight them for some extra experience! After you defeat them, talk to the investigators, leave and head northeast to Fortree City! I can't access the 6th gym! How can I enter it? Head to Route 120 (east of Fortree City), talk to Steven and fight the wild Kecleon. Kecleon has some spawns so you don’t have to worry about capturing it. Just beat it! (Beat it, beat it, beat it beat iiiit) Now you can head back to the Gym. How do I navigate the gym? The Flying Type Gym has some weird puzzles. You only have to step on the right arrows and go around the bushes in the gym until you make your way to the Gym Leader. How do I easily defeat the Flying Type Gym? You can stomp her easily with Electric, Rock and Ice types. Using a Rock type (and setting up Stealth Rocks) will demolish her. Electric types are also a good extra as they are also able to paralyse her pokemon. Ice types are way too rare at this point though. I found some Grunts in Route 121 next to the Safari, what do I have to do now? First, cry. You don’t know what you are going to go through emotionally and physically, but just so you can know: gather as many Leppa Berries (and all possible Berries) in ALL Hoenn Routes, navigate all optional routes (Surf Routes below 104 and Slateport), fight all trainers, navigate Route 123 and beat them all, gather more and more berries and healing items if possible. When you have done that, go back to Route 121, enter Lilycove, heal up and get ready for PRO’s most obnoxious, hard and tough challenge. I can’t access the Aqua Grunt Hideout in Lilycove City and I can’t go east either, what do I do? Head south from Route 121, surf to the southeast and enter Mt Pyre. Beat all the trainers in all floors, heal up in Lilycove, and then come back. Head to Mt Pyre 3F, exit to the south and now read the next question very carefully. How do I beat these trainers? Alright, listen. You now have to beat OVER THIRTY CONSECUTIVE TRAINERS WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO LEAVE. You CAN heal up inbetween fights, but if you leave at any point before you fight ALL of them, YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THE WHOLE THING AGAIN. This means that if you beat 28, and there are 2 more trainers left, and you leave the map, YOU WILL HAVE TO FIGHT THESE 28 AGAIN. To beat this, you have to hope your internet does not crash in the middle of a fight, the server doesn’t crash in the middle of a fight, carry a LOT of Leppa Berries, Ethers, Elixirs, Leftovers and other healing items to get through all of these. But this is not the worst part. The trainer pokemon levels are very high, AND THEY DO NOT AWARD ANY EXPERIENCE NOR POKEDOLLARS WHEN YOU DEFEAT THEM. Doesn’t sound fun, is it? BECAUSE IT’S NOT. Prepare yourself, plan ahead, have a full team of high level pokemon and fill yourself up with healing items to get through it. You might be stuck here for days. I finally made it to the top! What are these Orbs? You will be able to rest after you get a pop up message that says “You can now go and heal”. This is a confirmation that you’ve successfully gone through all of that. Beat the last grunts and talk to the Elder. You will need these Orbs to infiltrate each Team Headquarters. Where do we go now? When the Old Man has given you both orbs, you need to head to Jagged Pass, back in Mt Chimney, north of Mauville. Go down Mt Chimney, and in the middle of Jagged Pass, you will notice a small cave, shut by some rocks. Interact with it and you’ll be teleported inside. WARNING: THIS HEADQUARTER IS SPECIAL. Once you have beaten the leader of the grunts, YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO GO BACK INSIDE. Beat all the trainers for the experience and beat their leader, pick up all the pokeballs, and when everything is done, walk out triumphantly. Now go back to Lilycove City. Aqua’s Headquarters are way more complicated than Magma’s. In Aqua, you have to defeat both team subleaders, defeat most of the trainers in it, pick up a lot of items and go through all teleporters in the place. It’s a gigantic teleporting maze. Remember this: the main point is to defeat both the MAGMA and the AQUA Subleaders. When you defeat both, the Aqua Subleader will use its submarine and they will escape. You’ll then be able to escape. Also, there’s no Master Ball here, so don’t spend your time looking for it. Where do we go now? East from Lilycove, through Route 124, to Mossdeep City. What now? You need to defeat the 7th gym, the Psychic Type gym. The gym in general is very weak to Ghost, Dark and Bug types, but both Leaders (yes, both, there’s two leaders you must fight here) carry a few surprises. One leader uses Gardevoir, whose Fairy type defends it from Bug and Dark, and the other one uses Gallade, which defends him from Bug and Dark types too. It is kinda easy to cheese this gym with a few Poochyena/Mightyena spamming Sucker Punch, but from the info above, I think you can get the gist of it. The leaders can be extremely tough though, it’s just that the Gym trainers are pushovers. The gym is a small teleporting maze combined with spinning trainers. It’s very easy to get through it all. You shouldn’t have any issues getting to the end point. How can we get HM Dive? After you defeat the Leader, go to Mossdeep Space Center. Talk to Steven and he will give you HM Dive. I am a bit confused. Where do I have to head now? Sootopolis or the cave? First you need to head to the cave in Route 128. To access it, you first need to teach a pokemon the HM Dive. Then, head south from Mossdeep to Route 127. Dive in the gigantic vertical divespot (dude, if you can’t find it you really need to get glasses) and keep surfing south until you reach Route 128 underwater. In that part you just need to find a cave entrance. Note that you will need Rock Smash in this cave (as far as I know, there is one way to skip a bit of this puzzle, but it’s a bit annoying to find). Make your way through until the end, defeat all the trainers and get to the end. You’ll see one of the bad boys about to wake up Kyogre. Defeat him, Kyogre will wake up due to plot convenience, like Groudon did in the Magma Hideout, and go back to Mossdeep. How can we enter Sootopolis? To find Sootopolis, we are going to do part of the same sequence. Head to Route 127 from Mossdeep. However, instead of diving anywhere, now we’re going to head to the northwest of the route. Eventually, you will find a small water spot where you can go to the west and enter Route 126. In this route, you need to keep heading southwest, until you find a swimmer called Swimmer Denzel. He will have a divespot directly above him, enclosed by rocks. THAT is the Divespot you need. Dive in it and head directly southeast. You should find an NPC blocking a cave. Talk to her so she leaves and head in. Then, dive out. You’ll be in Sootopolis! What now? Heal up if you want in the Pokecenter. Then, head to the northwestern part of the city, and go clockwise. You will see Steven and a white dressed dude (the leader) in front of a cave. Talk to them. They will ask you to go to Sky Pillar, in Route 131. If you haven’t noticed yet, we haven’t really explored 128, 129, 130 or 131. That’s gonna be a long way. Go back to the pokecenter. Now, you can travel all the way back to Mossdeep, just backtracking through the same way (dude, don’t you just love backtracking thirty times in a row?). When you’re in Mossdeep, head south to Route 127. Now head south to 128. Now head southwest to Route 129. Now southwest to 130. Now pay attention and stay swimming in the northern part of Route 130. You will eventually find an entrance to Sky Pillar between Routes 130 and 131 in the northern part of the Route. Before you enter Sky Pillar, keep surfing west until you find Pacifidog Town, a town in the middle of the water. There, pick up the Geodudes in the PC in the Pokecenter (if you used them) that you used to cheese Slaking in the 5th gym. If you don’t want to play dirty though, just go to Sky Pillar with your team. You only need to walk your way to the top. You will find Jackson. Here, you will have to fight him AND FREAKING RAYQUAZA, BECAUSE SOMEHOW HE HAS IT. He will also reveal that, SURPRISE SURPRISE, HE WAS A FBI AGENT ALL ALONG, FROM PALLET TOWN TO HOENN, HE WAS ALWAYS AN FBI TRAINED SNIPER ACTION SPECIAL UNITS AGENT THAT HAD TO STOP WORLD’S DESTRUCTION. Yes, this sounds like I’m making a joke in the middle of the guide, but no, IT’S REAL. This is the literal Plot of Jackson, even though it makes NO sense, because there are side missions where you can find him again and his plot there completely contradicts this. Also, A TEN YEAR OLD FBI AGENT. Back to the topic. RAYQUAZA. You have to fight his entire team AND HIS RAYQUAZA. Rayquaza is 4 times weak to Ice. If you hadn’t paid a visit to Shoal Cave (north of Mossdeep City, surfing, Route 125), go back to it after he completely runs over your team and capture a few Ice Type pokemon with Ice Shard (priority move from the Ice Type). His team is not difficult to beat, IT’S JUST THAT HE HAS A RAYQUAZA. When you finally defeat him (after I don’t know how many attempts), go back to Pacifidog to heal. Now, capture a few Spinarak in Sky Pillar at very high levels, who will have Sucker Punch in their moveset. To be exact, capture six of them. Make them fight wild pokemon in Sky Pillar and evolve them immediately with Sucker Punch learned. If you see they don’t have this move, you can travel back (AGAIN) to Mossdeep City and relearn it. You will use this to cheese Deoxys. How can we defeat Deoxys? Where can we find Rayquaza? Talk to Rayquaza in Sky Pillar when you’re ready. You will be teleported TO THE LITERAL MOON (play the Ducktales OST here, if you want). You will have to navigate through the caves clockwise going up and down ladders and exiting and entering caves until you appear just behind Deoxys. Deoxys is an extremely hard fight for a newbie. He hits extremely fast and hard. However, there are ways to cheese this. Deoxys has pathetic defenses. He is weak to Ghost, Bug and Dark type attacks. Coincidentally, there are two moves that have increased priority and that will always attack first before Deoxys can attack. Which are they? Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch! (There’s more, but it’s to keep the guide simple. I’m already burning my hands at 9 pages long, jeez.) We will use 6 Ariados for this fight. We will simply click Sucker Punch. Deoxys will eventually faint before he is able to faint all of our Ariados. Around the third to fourth Ariados, Deoxys should faint. When he has lost, you need to navigate through the caves AGAIN, looking for Rayquaza. Keep in mind he will be hidden in one of them and you will suddenly encounter him there, being a gigantic green serpent. When you find him, talk to him, and you’ll be teleported back to Sootopolis. Congrats! Heal up in the pokecenter, go clockwise in the city again and talk to Steven, Jackson and the Leader. You’ll now be able to challenge the Gym! How do I get HM Waterfall? VERY IMPORTANT: PLEASE, PICK UP HM WATERFALL HERE. HM Waterfall is ACTUALLY optional (for some reason) in Hoenn, but it’s an amazing move. You will need this for Hoenn and Sinnoh Elite 4. It is possible to skip this by having a friend teach you the move onto a pokemon, but you will need it later anyway. SO PICK IT UP. It’s in Cave of Origins B3F, that cave where Steven, Jackson and the Leader were just blocking. How do we defeat the 8th gym leader? How do we get to the leader? Getting to the leader is a bit confusing. You need to walk on a bit of a maze and you might also have to slide around. If you feel like cheating, whenever you’re sliding, press the ESCAPE key. It will stop you in the middle of the sliding animation and you can skip the puzzles. The floor below is INFESTED with trainers. You need to defeat both leaders (one on each floor) to earn the badge. The Water Type gym is pretty fun and easy to beat. You just need strong Grass and Electric types. Bruteforce all the way through and congratulations, you just beat all Hoenn Gyms! Now that we've done all of this, can we go back to previous regions? Haha! Of course! NOT. You need to defeat Hoenn’s Elite Four to be able to go back to previous regions. Git gud. How do we reach the Hoenn Elite Four? Travel from Sootopolis to Mossdeep (at this point you should know how, just read above). Surf south to 127. Surf south to 128. Now, surf southEAST until you enter a new map called “Ever Grande City” (no, not Ariana Grande City, EVERGRANDE City). Use Waterfall there and heal up. Talk to the hole in front of the cave, you can use it later to teleport through it. Go in the cave and it’s a very easy one to get through. The Hoenn Victory Road is way easier to travel than other region’s Victory Roads (the easiest of all is Sinnoh, if you know the way to go, you’ll only need 30 seconds to cross it entirely). You only need to defeat the trainers if you want extra experience. Keep in mind that after you defeat Hoenn’s 8th Gym, you can use your old pokemon from previous regions! What types do they have? The Hoenn Elite 4 uses Dark, Ghost, Ice, Dragon and Steel Types. The best way to counter this Elite 4 is with Fighting types that also learn Ice Punch and Knock Off (or a strong Dark Type/Ghost Type move). Fighting wins against Dark, Ice and Steel, Ice Punch will take care of the Dragon Type Elite 4 and Dark type moves will take care of the Ghost Type Elite 4. Personally, I used Machamp with No Guard, I picked up a lot of Leppa Berries and I simply clicked Dynamicpunch, Ice Punch and Knock Off, and everything fainted in a single hit. If you still want a few more tips: Dark is weak against Fairy, Bug and Fighting. Ghost is weak against Ghost and Dark. Ice is weak againt Steel, Rock and Fire. Dragon is weak against Ice, Dragon and Fairy. Steel is weak against Fire, Ground and Fighting. Good luck! How do we access Sinnoh now? Who do we talk to? What do we have to do? When you finally have beaten Sinnoh, you can start the Sinnoh Access Quest by talking to the NPC Paul in Lilycove City. You will need 6 pokemon at level 80 or above to begin this quest. Keep in mind you will have to fight and beat a strong Boss, so be ready!

 30. This is the first part this guide will be divided in. This guide will try to cover Story related questions that are commonly asked nonstop everywhere. We will first start in the Kanto region, as the other regions will be tackled in future parts! I will be editing this with possible new questions that may arise in the future. (like Missions and other optional stuff) Let’s begin! Q: How can you choose Pikachu as a Starter? Which is the best starter in Kanto? A: While there’s arguably no best starter, Bulbasaur and Squirtle have the best overall advantages in the Kanto gyms and Charmander and Pikachu are the worst in them. Bulbasaur and Squirtle bring utility and better movesets than Charmander and Pikachu, but the last two also hit harder. It depends on what you like the most. Each one struggles with different gym leaders, so no matter what, you’ll always find a difficult fight! The safest is choosing the first two, the second two are also nice to try for a challenge. They can be hunted in the wild throughout Kanto, so don’t worry, you can get them later on! Bulbasaur and Charmander learn a lot of moves while Squirtle and Pikachu are severely restricted. You can choose Pikachu if you refuse to choose all three starters and then check the pokeball behind the desk. Q: I was defeated by Jackson! How can I go to Route 2? A: Simply go to Pallet Town and talk to his mom. You’ll now be able to continue to Pewter City. Q: I am lost in this Maze! How can I leave it? A: You can use an escape rope or check a Map online. https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/pokemon-revolution/images/9/9d/Viridianmaze.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20180814010850 Q: Brock is really hard! How can I defeat him? A: You can capture a wild Budew in the morning and daytime in Viridian Forest. Daytime is 10 to 20 poketime, morning is 4 to 10 poketime. You can check the poketime in the top right corner of your screen. They learn Absorb and Mega Drain. You can also capture an Oddish in the night time there. At level 10 it should be enough. Alternatively, capture a Poliwag in the night time in Route 22, or Nidoran male or female in the daytime. Poliwag learns Water type moves, while Nidoran learn Fighting type moves. Rock is weak to Fighting, Grass, Water and Steel. Ground is weak to Ice, Grass and Water. The pokemon from this type are usually very weak on the special defense side, so hitting them with Poliwag, Budew and Oddish will destroy them. There are more alternatives: You can try to paralyse his pokemon by using Lick with Snubbull and Biting them to flinch them, try to Poison them with the Poison types you can find such as Beedrill (however, keep in mind most of them have a secondary type which is weak to Brock). Q: How can I get out from Mt Moon? I’m so lost! A: You can check the PROWiki map here: https://prowiki.info/index.php?title=Mt._Moon . Ignore any Ladders until the last northwestern one. Q: Who do I choose, Helix or Dome Fossil? A: PRAISE HELIX! Just kidding, Helix revives into Omanyte, while Dome revives into Kabuto. Your choice! They’re both good pokemon but you’ll be unable to revive them before Cinnabar Island. Also, you can obtain both Fossils later an infinite amount of times, so do not worry, you'll always be able to obtain the other one! Q: How can I defeat Misty? Her Starmie steamrolls through my team! A: You can choose to buy a Magikarp from the Magikarp vendor in Mt Moon and train it into a Gyarados. You can Bite her and destroy her, as her Starmie is also Psychic Type, which is weak to Dark. However, it’s hard to train. The best choice is to use the Grass Types you used against Brock. You can train them easily in Mt Moon. Alternatively, train a Pikachu in Route 24 or 25 and destroy her! You can capture them in Viridian Forest. At level 20 it should be enough. Remember that Water, Grass and Dragon (there’s no obtainable Dragon Type before this gym though) resist Water-type moves. Pokemon such as Golbat (Zubat’s evolution) can spam Bite and Absorb against her pokemon. Other options are Exeggcute (Grass moves), Pinsir (Bug type moves for Starmie), Arbok (Thunder Fang, Dark type moves), Granbull (Thunder Fang). Q: Why can’t I enter the ship? A: You completely skipped Bill’s house. Go back to Cerulean City and head north. Go to Route 24 and then northeast to Route 25. Then, help Bill find his book. Q: Where is Bill's Book? A: Bill’s Book is under his pillow. Now that you’ve returned the book to him, he will give you the S.S Anne Ticket. You can now head to Vermillion! Go to Route 5 below Cerulean. You will find an Underground Path. Enter Q: How do I access the Daycare? A: You need to defeat a boss called Naero in Cerulean Cave. This requires a long quest which you can do after you defeat Johto Elite Four. The Daycare also does not function like in the original games. There is no breeding in PRO. In the Daycare, there are important tutors like the Preevo Tutor and the Egg Move Tutor. Q: How can you defeat Lance in Vermillion? This is impossible! A: Short answer, you can’t. You’re intended to lose here. A2: Long answer, you can, but it will not change your story path. Keep 1 pokemon that will faint in one hit, three Geodudes with Sturdy (ability), a Bulbasaur with Leech Seed (move) (if you didn’t choose Bulbasaur, put an extra Geodude with Sturdy here), and an Oddish with Poisonpowder. The first pokemon (the one that will faint) has to be in the first position. When Dragonair has used Hyper Beam, switch to Bulbasaur as you will have fainted. Use Leech Seed in that turn. Then, switch before Hyper Beam can hit you. If you don’t have Bulbasaur, use Oddish instead and use Poisonpowder. If the opponent has been poisoned or leech seeded, switch to a Geodude. Now, keep switching between Geodudes. He will not be able to defeat you in time before he faints. You can heal up Geodudes to stall even more turns. If you missed Poisonpowder or Leech Seed, let a Geodude faint so you can try again. You get no rewards whatsoever. Q: I can’t enter Vermillion Gym, there’s a tree there! A: Just enter the SS Anne and continue to get HM Cut. Q: I can’t enter the SS Anne! A: Just speak to Surge in front of the Guards of the ship. Q: How can I help out the Captain? How do I get HM Cut? A: Go to the Kitchen. Check the trash bins, the one in the center to the right has a Pecha Berry in it. Then, talk to the Doctor in the Kitchen. Afterwards, find Jenson in one of the rooms in the second floor. Talk to him. Then, go to the Ballroom and talk to the Blissey. Finally, go and talk to the Captain. He will give you HM Cut. Q: How can I get an Old Rod? A: A fisherman will give you one for free in a house in Vermillion City. It’s in the house next to the Pokemon Fan Club, above the Gym. Q: How do I use the Rod? I can’t catch anything. A: The Old Rod is pathetic and requires you to use it several times in front of the water to just find a pokemon. Keep using it nonstop until you get a catch. Q: How can I get a Bike? The one in Cerulean costed 999999… A: You can purchase a Bike Voucher for 60k pokedollars from the Old Man who lives next to Vermillion’s Pokecenter, or you can make it 40k pokedollars if you first give him a Ditto you previously caught. Then, go back to Cerulean City and purchase your Bike. You can hunt a Ditto in Route 8 by using Repels while having a level 23 pokemon in the first slot of your party. Q: How do I use the Bike? A: Click on it in your bag. It’s in the Mounts section. Q: How can I reach Lt Surge? There are barriers preventing me from reaching him! A: There are secret hidden buttons in the garbage bins. You have to find two consecutive correct buttons to open the barriers. They’re completely random. Q: How can I defeat Surge? His Raichu keeps Digging! A: The only weakness the Electric type has is Ground types. Ground types are also immune to Electric types. There are multiple options we can choose from. We can capture a Sandshrew, Onix or Geodude in Mt Moon. These learn Ground moves upon level-up. If we attack Surge with Magnitude, he will lose. Magnitude also hits opponents who use Dig way harder than it normally would. At level 20, it can destroy him. Onix only learns Sand Tomb though, while the other two learn Magnitude. Thus, only Sandshrew and Geodude are recommended. Q: How do I get HM Flash? I want to light up caves so I can see. A: When you defeat Surge, go to the southeast of Vermillion City. Enter the Diglett Cave and get through it until you leave to Route 2. Then, head south. You will find an Oak’s Aide in one of the houses. Talk to him when you have 10 Caught data in your Pokedex and you will receive HM Flash. This is also obligatory to continue your adventure, as HM Flash could be somewhat skipped in the original games. Q: How can I go to the 4th Badge? I’m kinda lost now. A: It’s a bit confusing. You have to go back to Cerulean through the same way you came in. When you’re in Cerulean, head East. Through Route 9, then to 10. Heal up in the Pokecenter, go through Rock Tunnel, and reach Lavender Town. Heal up, then go west, through Route 8, Underground Path to Route 7, and finally Celadon City! Q: How can I use Flash? I can’t see anything on this cave. A: You first teach HM Flash to a Pokemon in your party. Then, you click on the Pokemon in your party, and click on the move Flash. Do this whenever you want to light up caves! Q: How do I get my Eevee in Celadon? A: You have to defeat the Rocket Grunts and Giovanni in the Rocket Hideout. Then, talk to the Policeman outside after checking all the Machines in the Hideout. Q: How do I access the Hideout? A: Talk to the Rocket Grunt in the Casino. Q: The Rockets caught me in the Rocket Hideout! How can I escape? A: Talk to the boxes in the Jail. You’ll be able to escape. Try talking to them from different points if you’re unable to escape. Q: How can I reach Giovanni? There’s a door! A: Find the Card Key. A Rocket Grunt is blocking it in B4F, defeat it to obtain it. Fight the NPC Greg in B3F to be able to continue. Then, you’ll need to get through the Hideout until you can find the door to Giovanni. Q: How do I beat Giovanni? He’s very strong! A: He has several weaknesses. His Ground and Rock pokemon are weak to Ice, Steel, Fighting, Grass, Water. Use these types in battle. Any fast Water or Grass pokemon destroys him. For the Normal types, use a Fighting type like Machop, who can be found in Rock Tunnel. Ice Type moves can be found in Arbok and Granbull’s Ice Fang, but Arbok is weak to Ground, so be careful! Q: How do I recover the Eevee? A: See the machine behind Giovanni? Check the 5 machines that look like that in the entire Hideout. One of them has it. (the one behind Giovanni can also be the one). Q: How do I beat Erika? A: This is the easiest Gym Leader in Kanto. She’s weak to Fire, Flying, Ice, Bug. Most of the Grass types here are also Poison Types and thus, weak to Psychic too. Fire pokemon can be found in Route 7, Flying pokemon can be found everywhere and trained in Diglett Cave, you cannot use Ice types for now (but you can use Ice type moves such as Ice Fang from Arbok and Granbull), and you can train Bug types for the battle. At level 30 to 35, you should win this easily. Another option is to use a Steel or Psychic type in addition as some of her team is part Poison type. Special mention to Bronzor and Bronzong who resist Erika incredibly well and can take her out easily thanks to their Steel/Psychic type. Q: Where is HM Fly? A: HM Fly can be obtained after completing the Subway Quest. However, Fly is not functional outside of battle. In its replacement we have the Subway and Teleportation system, which allows you to teleport between towns for a small fee, similarly to the original games. They have different quests to be unlocked and they will permanently allow you to teleport everywhere you may need. Q: I can’t go south from Lavender, I can’t wake up Snorlax! A: Read the Fuji’s Notes in Lavender Town inside of his house. Get to the Top of Lavender Town and beat the Rockets. Talk to Fuji, rescue him and grab the Pokeflute. Then, head south to Route 12. You can now make Snorlax wake up. Capture or beat it (you can capture more of them in the future, so don’t worry). Q: I can’t enter Kanto’s Safari Zone. How do I go in? A: You first need to beat the Gym. Then, you will have to defeat Viktor in Route 19, to the south of Fuchsia. Q: I can’t reach the leader. There’s some invisible walls blocking me. A: Go counterclockwise, starting from the right wall. You’ll be able to make your way to him. There is an invisible path. Q: How can I beat the leader? They’re very strong! A: Poison is only weak to Ground and Psychic. Use a Sturdy Graveler or other Ground types with Ground attacks to quickly destroy him. Kadabra and Alakazam are also really good options for this gym. At level 45, you’ll win without issues. Sandslash, Rhydon, Graveler/Golem and other Ground types easily take care of the entire gym. Also, you can abuse Bronzor and Bronzong’s Steel and Psychic typing, as Steel is completely immune to Poison attacks and Psychic powers up his Psychic moves against the Gym Leader. Q: I can't access Fuchsia's Safari. How can I defeat Viktor in Route 19? His Pikachu sweeps me! A: Use a Sturdy Graveler. He should lose in a single turn with Bulldoze, Magnitude or Earthquake. He will teach any of your Pikachu the move Surf as long as you captured it. Q: How do I get Surf HM? And Strength HM? A: Surf HM is inside of Safari Zone. Buy a single 5000 pokedollar pass, and travel counterclockwise until you reach Safari Zone 3. Then, enter one of the houses. HM Surf will be in a pokeball there. Strength HM does not exist in PRO. Q: How can I get to Saffron City? A: Two options. If you have a Bike, you can quickly go west from Fuchsia into Route 16 through Route 17, the Bike Road. Then, you’ll reach Celadon. There, purchase a Lemonade on the Rooftop of Celadon Department Store (the big building). Then head to Route 7 and talk to the Guards. They’ll let you enter Saffron. If you don’t have a Bike, go back to Lavender from the same way you came in. Repeat the same steps (get to Celadon through Route 8 again), get the Lemonade, and enter it. Q: How can I access the Dojo in Saffron and the Pokemon in it? A: Beat the Team Rocket in Silph Co. Beat the Dojo and choose between a Hitmonchan and a Hitmonlee. Hitmonchan has better coverage while Hitmonlee hits harder. The fighters here use Fighting types, so use Fairy, Flying and Psychic types to defeat them easily. Abra and his evolutions, Clefairy and Clefable and any Flying type or move will take care of this Dojo easily. Q: How can I reach Giovanni in Silph Co? A: The fastest way is by going to the Third floor. In the middle, there’s a Rocket guy blocking a teleporter with a table to the left, and another teleporter further inside. One of the two will teleport you to the Seventh floor. Then, enter the next teleporter to immediately appear in the Eleventh floor. Q: Can we defeat Blue? How? A: Short answer: you can’t. A2: Long answer: you can. It’s just very hard. If you overlevel a lot, yes, you can. It’s not obligatory, you can actually lose to him and still progress. Q: How do I defeat this Giovanni? A: The same exact way as in Rocket Hideout. He’s just harder this time. Any fast water type will steamroll through his team, as most of it is ground types. Fighting types can also help here. Surf in Seafoam to find a few Water Type pokemon at already high levels and teach them Surf. He has the same common weaknesses as he had in the Rocket Hideout too, so you just need to level a lot (around 50 should be enough) to defeat him. Q: How can I defeat Sabrina? How do I get to her? A: You have to try out going through the teleporting panels until you find the one that teleports to Sabrina. Psychic’s weaknesses are Bug, Ghost and Dark. She is hard to defeat, but her Pokemon are weak to physical attack. You can use Dugtrios with Sucker Punch to take care of her, as you will always hit first. You can capture Houndour in Route 7 too. Gengar is also a nice Pokemon to have into consideration here, but beware: his Poison type makes him weak to Psychic! Level 55 should be enough. You can also abuse specific pokemon to leave Sabrina with no chance to defend herself. Moves like Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch have priority, are super effective against Psychic Types and will always hit the opponent before they can defend themselves. Q: Where do I head now? A: You need to head to Cinnabar Island. The fastest way is to return to Pallet Town and surf south. Through Route 20, you’ll eventually find the Island! Q: I can’t enter the Gym! It’s closed! A: You need to find the Cinnabar Gym Key in Cinnabar Pokemon Mansion. You can find it by following these steps: Once you go in, go directly north and go upstairs to the 2nd floor. Then, instead of directly going to the third floor, go southeast. You can make your way northwest to another stairs to the third floor. Once in the third floor, there is an old man you can see on top of a big black hole. Position yourself counting from the left, on the third hole. To understand it better: the third black hole where you can fall counting from the left will directly teleport you to the Cinnabar Gym Key. Find a wild battle, log out and you’ll be teleported back to a Pokecenter! Q: How do I defeat Blaine? His Arcanine sweeps me! A: Fire types have weaknesses: Ground, Rock and Water Pokemon absolutely demolish them. Pokemon such as Graveler or Golem can train incredibly fast against Fire and Poison types in the Cinnabar Mansion gym. Water Types can also be trained there against Fire types. Train until around 60, it should be enough! Q: How can I revive the fossils now? A: You can revive them in Cinnabar Lab. Q: How can I catch the legendary birds? A: You can catch them way later in the game. You need to defeat the Birds in their respective areas to do the quest later. Feel free to beat them now, you will get their Dex data so as to capture them later (also, Articuno has a reward in Cinnabar Island if you defeat him for a mission) Q: Where do I go now? Where’s the last gym? A: The last gym is in Viridian City. You only need to travel to Viridian and enter the gym now. Q: How do we defeat the Mewtwo in Viridian Gym? What can we use? A: There’s multiple ways to beat Giovanni. I’ll list some of them below (these are extremely weird but easy to acheive and do). 1.- Simply grind your pokemon to absurd extents (60-70+) and try to tank a hit from Mewtwo to strike it back with a strong Fire, Ground, Dark or Ghost type move, as he is weak to all of them (this Mewtwo is special: he is Steel/Psychic, like Metagross. You can try leveling your starter Charmander, or a Fire type such as Arcanine, Rapidash, Ground types such as Dugtrio, Golem (with Sturdy, otherwise Aura Sphere or Ice Beam blows you up), Dark such as Houndoom (or using a Gyarados with Crunch), or Ghost such as Gengar. However, you rely on either outspeeding Mewtwo or surviving a hit (spoilers: almost impossible). 2.- Abusing Priority moves against him. He is weak to Sucker Punch, so you can simply capture 6 decent Diglett, powerlevel them a bit in Power Plant to 30 and then to 50-60 in Cinnabar Mansion. Evolve them all. Use Sucker Punch 6 times. Auto-win! Also works for Sabrina (without Cinnabar Mansion access though) and for Fuchsia’s gym (same as mentioned before, but spamming Earthquake). 3.- Using 1 Gastly with Destiny Bond and purchasing a Focus Sash from Trade Chat. Level any Gastly to level 40 (easily done in Seafoam, teach it Thunderbolt TM from Vermillion Gym), teach it Destiny Bond. Purchase a Focus Sash. Equip Focus Sash onto Gastly. Use Destiny Bond on Mewtwo. You will survive with 1 HP and Destiny Bond will be active. Then, on the second turn, Mewtwo will faint you before you can attack, and Destiny Bond will still work. 4.- Using 1 Rattata with Endeavor + Quick Attack with Focus Sash (or Sucker Punch, it works here too). Capture any Rattata in Cinnabar Mansion (they have Endeavor in their moveset and Sucker Punch, and if they don’t, just relearn it in Cerulean). Buy a Focus Sash from Trade Chat. Equip it onto Rattata, use Endeavor in the first turn, then Sucker Punch or Quick Attack in the second turn. GG, a house rat just defeated a legendary pokemon modified machine. 5.- Using 1 Magnemite with Sturdy, 1 Gastly/Haunter/Gengar with Curse, 4 Geodude with Sturdy. Capture any Magnemite in Route 6 with Sturdy (they have Thunder Wave, always). Capture any Gastly in Vermillion Graveyard (the higher leveled ones have Curse). Capture any Geodude with Sturdy (anywhere). Go to Giovanni. Start the fight with Magnemite. Turn 1: Thunder Wave. Did you miss? Log out, log in, retry. 90% accuracy, misses sometimes. Next turns, spam any move until Magnemite faints. Then, throw in Gastly. Use Curse. If Mewtwo was able to attack, log out, and repeat this process again. It’s a 25% chance, in 3 or 4 attempts you should be able to do it. Once you manage to land Curse: Congratulations! You instantly won. Mewtwo will faint in a max of 5 turns. Geodudes with Sturdy require 2 turns each to be fainted. Thus, he has to first faint your Gastly (1 turn), and he can’t faint all your pokemon in time, as he needs atleast 8 turns. 6.- Cheesing it even harder: Using 1 Magnemite with Sturdy and 1 Gastly with Destiny Bond. (and another pokemon in your team, doesn’t matter if it’s a level 2 Caterpie). Capture any Magnemite with Sturdy in Route 6 (same strategy). Capture any Gastly and level it to 40 until it learns Destiny Bond. Go to Giovanni. Start the fight with Magnemite. Turn 1: Thunder Wave. Did you miss? Log out, log in, retry. 90% accuracy, misses sometimes. Keep spamming moves until Magnemite faints. Throw in Gastly. Use Destiny Bond. If you manage to land it because he was paralysed, hope he hits you in the next turn. You’ll win the fight as he takes himself down. If he manages to faint you before you Destiny Bond, log out, log in and retry. 7.- 1 Magnemite with Sturdy. Alone. Assuming Mewtwo was level 100, with 31 IV in HP and 252 Evs there, he has 416 max HP. (He is obviously around level 70, but I’m assuming worst case scenario). Capture any Magnemite with Sturdy. Level it up to level 60+ (64 is the specific number). Relearn Mirror Coat in Cerulean, give it 2 Rare Candies in Power Plant so it levels to 65, evolves, 66, evolves again. Fully EV train his HP Evs to 252 (easily doable in Route 24 or in Safari Wald) Heal up in Viridian Pokecenter. Go vs Mewtwo. Press Mirror Coat and auto win! As Magnezone’s max HP with 1 IV at level 66 will be 210, one Mirror Coat will bounce 418 damage from Mewtwo’s Aura Sphere (will deal 209 damage, leaving Magnezone with 1 HP and Sturdy) and instakill it. If Mewtwo is at level 70, Magnezone can be at level 66 without any HP EV investment, and it will instakill it anyway. You need Magnezone to have a higher base HP than his preevolutions (thus, a higher HP total). Q: Can we defeat Red in Victory Road Entrance? A: Short answer: no, you can’t. You’re supposed to lose here. A2: You actually can, but the script was (changed?) and the Story does not continue if you win against him. In the past, if you had a good enough team you could simply overlevel your pokemon or use a cheese strategy such as 6 Rattata holding a Focus Sash and using the Endeavor + Quick attack combo to defeat him. You still can do these, but the Story will not change at all if you defeat him. The last time I defeated him, the story did not progress and I had to refight and lose against him (this was probably a bug). Q: How can we defeat this Moltres? A: Moltres is so weak to rock (4 times weakness) that you can literally capture a Graveler with Sturdy in Victory Road, use Rock Slide on Moltres and he will instantly faint. Moltres is incredibly easy to defeat, any Rock type will destroy it in a single hit (Sturdy will also prevent us from fainting in a single turn). He is also weak to Water and Electric moves, so Magnezone with Sturdy can deal with it, or any Water type (specially with Rain Dance). Q: What pokemon types do the Kanto Elite 4 use? How can we defeat them? The Kanto Elite 4 use dual type pokemon teams. Lorelei uses Water and Ice pokemon. They’re extremely weak to Grass, Electric, Rock, Fire (be careful if they are also Water though), Fighting, Steel (Water types resist Steel moves though). Gengar with Thunderbolt (purchasable in Vermillion Gym), Magnezone with Thunderbolt or any of the types mentioned above can deal with her easily. Brock uses Fighting and Rock type pokemon. All his pokemon have really weak Special Defense, and they’re weak to Psychic, Flying, Fairy (Fighting) and Water, Ground, Fighting, Steel (Rock) moves. My recommendation is to use a Gengar with Psychic (purchasable in Saffron gym), Alakazam and any Flying type or a Clefable. Agatha uses Ghost and Poison types. This fight can be tough, her pokemon are weak to Dark, Ghost, Ground (if they don’t have levitate or they have the Flying type) and Psychic. My recommendation is to use Gengar with Shadow Ball, Psychic, Dugtrio (he’s fast, learns Earthquake and Sucker Punch), Alakazam, or a Ground type with Sturdy. Lance uses Dragon and Flying pokemon. This fight is extremely easy (except for Tyranitar, which is his trump card). Dragon types are weak to Ice, Fairy and Dragon, and Flying is weak to Rock, Ice and Electric. Use a pokemon with Stealth Rocks to make all his pokemon instantly lose 25 to 50% of their max HP in battle and destroy him with a Gengar with Thunderbolt, Icy Wind, any Ice type, a Clefable, and be ready for his Tyranitar, which is Rock/Dark (surprise!). Gary has a varied team and you cannot really prepare for him much, he is ready to tackle all pokemon types. You will need to use your brain here, as some of his pokemon can survive a hit from a level 100 Gengar. His team is: Pidgeot, Alakazam, Rhydon, Arcanine, Exeggutor, Blastoise. Gengar can tackle with four of these (Thunderbolt for Pidgeot, Shadow Ball for Alakazam if he is not faster than you and obliterates you with Psychic, Shadow Ball for Exeggutor and Thunderbolt for Blastoise. Arcanine and Rhydon are a pain unless you have Water type moves to deal with him. Q: Where can we train for the Elite 4? A: You can train easily in the Victory Road 3rd floor (the entrance from the Kanto League, basically). Pokemon here are at high levels (40-50+) and are nearly fully evolved and provide a ton of experience. Level 70 to 75 is more than enough if your pokemon have good natures, decent stats and decent movesets. Just plan ahead. If you struggle with Victory Road pokemon, try lower level areas such as Cinnabar Mansion or Seafoam Islands. If you intend to train a Fire/Steel/Normal/Electric type pokemon, Cinnabar and Seafoam might be easier for you. It all depends on the moves your pokemon has access to, because some places will naturally be easier to train in than others.

 31. Hello Will, As Giorgio25 has said, you can type "/happy 1-6" in your chat box in-game to see the happiness value of the Pokemon in the slot you specified. (You can find a full list of commands here). Pokemon do indeed lose part of their happiness when they faint in battle. A Pokemon will lose 5 points of happiness when fainted whilst in battle. However, they do not lose any happiness when deposited into the PC. Ways to increase happiness are: Walking with the Pokemon (1st slot only), Battling with the Pokemon (+1 Point of Happiness per win), Leveling it up (+5 Points of Happiness per level up), Eating EV Reducing Berries or Vitamins (+2 Points of Happiness per berry), Having the Pokemon hold a Soothe Bell (Found as a hidden item in National Park in Johto, also wild Golbats in Mt. Silver have a chance of holding them). (Gains whilst in battle are doubled when holding a Soothe Bell. Does not apply for berries or vitamins). Keep in mind that trading a Pokemon will set its happiness to 70 if the current happiness is above that. Lastly, you'll need 150+ Happiness in order to use Dive and Headbutt outside of battle, and 155+ Happiness in order to use Dig outside of battle. Let me know if you have any other questions regarding a Pokemon's happiness.
