Well, it's now almost certainly confirmed: winning the Bug Catching Contest three consecutive days earns you the Mega Heracross stone. The only thing we can check if they must be consecutive or they can just be three inside of a time frame.

From the info of the two users who have obtained it so far: the theory is that you must win the Bug Catching Contest three days in a row. We will give this some days. You can now try and check your luck!

I thought it could be too much of a stretch, but considering you have to beat a Hoenn boss at Hard difficulty, and get 1000 artifact pieces... I'm betting it could be related to beating certain bosses or getting an insane Heracross in Bug Catching Contest.

This is one of the theories, otherwise I have no idea. Let's spam headbutt where it spawns and check these areas. (Or just tell Cames to whip Corsi so he leaks the locations)

I would love this change. I think this happened in some of the original games? I'm unsure though. I played PRO so much that it's corrupted my memory.

My apologies if the Guide's spoiler sections are sometimes looking weird or disorganised. There's a bug where when I edit stuff some Spoilers magically appear out of nowhere and break parts of the guide. I'll fix this asap. Thanks to Natalia1327 for the picture. There's a theory going around that the Megastone for Heracross is obtainable if you beat Bugsy for the third time and choose Heracross. We're also trying to check all Mazes (Petalburg; Viridian) to see if it's hidden as an item there.

We still have 0 clues for Mega Heracross. It's the only place we're missing. Do you guys have any ideas to try?

You sadly can't, but you can ask that someone else gives you the other starter :) they're huntable in Johto Safari.

Pupitar only shows Shed Skin though. If you capture a wild one, how can you know if it's HA or not?

It's intended. NPCs have infinite PP usage (such as wild pokemon or trainers). Also, they can use any moves while gaining the benefits from Choice items.

The Guide has been updated with all currently known locations. Some pictures will be uploaded in the next few hours. No one knows about Mega Heracross for now, however.
