Hello PRO Team, I have been thinking of a potential list of improvements that could be implemented into the game in order to enhance it further. I've read up about what you guys are currently working on and also seen a bunch of bug reports that has been queued for fixes, and I'm also aware of that the team is limited to how much work that can be done within a reasonable time-span. List of idea's and/or improvements & changes to the current game: 1. Different music themes based upon what you're encountering, say a Pokémon Trainer, Gym trainer, Lance battle, Rival battle or a Wild encounter, this would improve the feel and quality of the game as you're playing it. (For as to avoid any copyright infringement or intellectual property of the game could be argued within it's gray-zone but, in any case, a simple cover of it would suffice I'd say, however, staying as close to the original would be amazing. Examples in Kanto Region using Fire Red/Leaf Green themes: Kanto Region Gym Leader Theme; Trainer Battles; Final Rival Battle; Johto Region from Heart Gold; Gym Leader Theme; Also to Hoenn & Sinnoh regions theme accordingly as for further examples respectively. 2. Various SFX and improved animations for Pokémon Combat and various move-sets such as Body Slam, Earthquake, Special status moves as a few notable examples, list would be too long to mention every ability here and I do realize this is a long process but is definitely worth improving on for a overall quality of the game. 3. NPC Trainer artwork and animations upon encountering a battle to actually display the trainer you're facing. "----- wants to battle!" 4. Added Rival in each respectable Region, and make em more memorable, say Gary for Kanto region as an example, or allow players & friends to act as a Rival for progression with their current setup for progressing as a mirrored fight. 5. Improved NPC AI in combat, Pokémon switching, countering and/or a various difficulty setting for the trainers in question, the more difficult the trainer in the story-line, the smarter moves it does with a stage of 1-5 as for an example. (Uber BOSSES wouldn't have to be adjusted for any of this as it would simply have to remain the same since they're already tweaked to the current games meta, but for the Elite Four, Gym leaders, the Rival, Red and perhaps even various trainers along the way to simply have a more advanced AI to be used against the player. However, new bosses may take use of this to make battles even more interesting and enjoyable.) 6. Potential Auction house for selling/purchasing various Pokémons or items. (This suggestion is a wildcard since various other things could be potentially affected in the process as a lot of other things would have to be taken into consideration for this to even work. But in the end, could make things more flexible in one way. This would also prevent a lot of cancelled trades or potential disciplinary bans.) Example with inspect functions on said Pokémon: 7. Improved player character artwork inside the combat screen for other players including yourself to see before the actual battle takes place. This would be based upon how you created your character and would mirror as such during the battle itself. Fully animated would be quite the task to pull off however as I would recommend still-motion pictures for such a regard otherwise. (Especially if you were to be as crazy to even add in all the vanity items currently equipped, it would be a lot of work.) Customized characters for still-motion pictures of themselves would be an easier feat to pull off than an animated one in this regard. To even be able to display one owns character in a battle screen (For both your end and the opponents), it would have to have an artwork based upon how your character looks from its creation. A Player card to both be displayed in combat, portrait yourself towards your opponent and to be displayed on your trainer information card (Based upon your character creation & outfit): Technical Suggestions for the game devs:
a. A more flexible character creation function with more features that can be linked into other functions in programming to leave room for growth and change in the future. b. A function to fetch information from character creations into a different artwork. i.e: Hair style: #13 (Female hairstyle #13) Hair color: Red Gender: Female Eyes: Red Headwear: X Clothes: Y By using this, you could link either clothes, hairstyle, color and such into a new artwork that share the same ID for the character, where one is shown in the game while you walk around and the other one would be your actual portrait of your character in a more "detailed" style. Let us say that hypothetically, the more detailed artwork character shown above has the same hairstyle ID as the character in red shown below, i.e. #13 Female hair, anyone that would create their character with the same hair, would have the same hairstyle in the detailed version displayed in their character panel card and in combat. 8. Improved Battle environments during battle, add remaining geographic backgrounds during encounters for more than just Sea, Cave & Grass environments. Examples of background environments & scenery for the battle itself: Non-Feasible idea's (Although you may think otherwise in the future): 1. Dual Battle/Single Battle ranked battle option to choose which type of battle to play when issuing a battle with another player. (Various move-sets has to be corrected, adjusted or all together scripted for a lot of this to function as intended. This will of course also influence the current meta of PvP. As for if this is feasible, yes but a lot of work and most likely wouldn't be in the game for quite a while if you decided to add this.) Technical Suggestions for the game devs: Foundations for Dual or Multiple combat systems (Such as hordes). 2. 3D / 2D Gameplay although not necessary for my own taste, but other people would probably enjoy it. (This idea is probably not so feasible as to that the game is made in Unity with a specific core & design which would most likely require a complete make-over of the current engine. In which case, this could also be applied to the actual combat system too and turn it into a more 3D feel as an option seen below. By working on various elements suggested into this thread, you'll not only make the game more enjoyable for people and make the game grow as whole, but also build foundations for other elements that are in all the other games as well as assisting in the process with other technical difficulties in the future. More suggestions will potentially be added along the course. Thank you for reading through so far.2 points

I'm tired of seeing minor updates who doesn't change nothing during those years. Stop focusing on trying to do more regions and shit, just fix all things that already exist and don't work well, 5 years passed and the game has the same problems as before, damn, just try to fix all things that don't work properly instead of doing more regions and stories who anyways gonna look as being made by some amateurs. Have you ever listened 'quality over quantity'? There's no life in the server, just make only 1 server, we're not in the 2000+ players days anymore, youre not gonna attract new players if they see that the game is dead. Make things to people interact with each other, stop focusing on non-sense things that not gonna attract new players. Doesn't matter if a player at first sight will be attracted by those 4 regions if then he starts playing and he isn't having fun. Improve the damn PVP, 5 years later and you still making the same mistakes. We are still without the move substitute coded, without megaevos, without z-moves.. and many more. And what happens? We have a meta who benefits Stall, and if you're smart enough PRO staff, you'll know that the vast majority of players came here to have a good time, not to have 40 minute battles where a couple of 15yo kids who have all the time in the world try to exploit the system to be the best of their bedrooms. Just fix the timer, put a forfeit button without penalties, improve the existing stories, improve that crappy box system, make events to awake the server like tournaments or things like that where players interact with each other, find competent mods who know how to handle situations (because muting someone for saying 'shit' when is already censored or showing your shiny Greninja with 32x6 ivs isn't doing your job right, it only makes the game look amateurish). if you put the same interest in improving the game than in chasing those who try to sell their accounts... even that you're doing it wrong and scarying new players. I can say a lot more things but I'm gonna stop here because honestly, at this point, I don't expect nothing about a staff who ran out of ideas and try to create another game like pokeone, who's gonna fail for the same thing that this game gonna die, staff doesn't understand that's better do a couple things very good than a thousand mediocrish.1 point

break
This thread attempts to accurately present the relative power of Pokemon in PRO's Ranked Battle format. This is not meant to be the end-all, be-all resource for teambuilding, and neither is it intended that you always pick the highest ranked option. Viability exists in tandem with synergy - teams that cannot capitalize on each others' strengths are doomed to fail. With that in mind, this is a good initial resource to use when first approaching Ranked PvP, and should in time be replaced with your own experience. break
break
S-Rank - These Pokemon define the metagame. They either perform several roles exceptionally well or possess incredible flexibility. Not being able to answer S-Rank Pokemon consistently is tantamount to throwing games. A-Rank - These Pokemon are extremely good at one thing or decent at several in the metagame, usually requiring little support to function. The ability to deal with A-Rank Pokemon remains of vital importance. B-Rank - These Pokemon are solid picks in the metagame, but tend to require some support to work. C-Rank - These Pokemon possess a single, well-defined niche in the metagame, and will likely only fit on specialized teams. Ambipom-Rank - If you are using any of these Pokemon, you are not playing to your full potential. Within tiers, Pokemon are listed in alphabetical order. break
break
S Rank A+ Rank A Rank A- Rank B+ Rank B Rank B- Rank C+ Rank C Rank C- Rank Ambipom Rank break
If you would like to discuss a Pokemon's ranking, please make a post which indicates both current and desired rankings, and provides a solid explanation. Keep in mind that viability is not usage - how often a Pokemon is seen on the ladder alone is not a good argument for its placement. Personal anecdotes are also not good arguments for adjusting the placement of a Pokemon. With that in mind, discuss away :) break
Thanks to: Ironcoque, anthonyliu, dangarangs, and Fairview for substantial assistance compiling the initial version of this list Jorogumo and sgt bianco for substantial contributions to updating this list Shaui & other staff for letting me take over this thread Aphotyx's old thread for the headers Team Magma for being the best guild in the game1 point

Hello everyone! I would like to suggest some changes to the SUSPICIOUS BOT. Suspicious bot got a HUGE nerf and destroyed the whole npc, there is no reason to do it anymore, to win agaisnt suspicious bot you need be lucky, suffer a lot, spend a lot of time and pray to don't lose. The rerrol reward was pretty good but hard to get, really hard tbh but i am okay if you guys decided to nerf/balance it, but not this much. What i think would be fair? -Reduce the reward from rerrol ticket to nature rerrol(300k diference). -Keep the 2days cooldown to get the reward, so we can try get it more times. PLEASE -Let's make this npc worth again to try, i know many people agree with me. -The chances of winning agaisnt him are LOW and being just able to get a good reward for it every 7 days is really bad. -Is okay reduce the reward, but atleast keep the same cooldown. @MagicGuard Thanks for the attetion!1 point

Good afternoon, the reason for the post is to request a favor .. inside the players there is a girl with autism, she does not understand the English language and left the area where darkrai is captured, which she can no longer re-enter .. now the favor I wanted to ask you is to activate the area again and I will explain to her what you should do inside .. or if that is not possible, transfer my darkrai to her, I have no problem losing it by such a reason, thank you very much .. the character of the girl is Francyscadj1 point

Kinda entertaining that the people that were openly bragging about how broken it was and how much money they were making are the ones complaining after the nerf.1 point

+1 it’s was a totally huge nerf it’s almost not worth the time required to do it anymore. If u want my honest opinion it’s was totally broken before but now it’s really like it was removed. I think that 7 days cooldown and reward an iv reroll after 40 wins is balanced. At least it is for me. But u have to do smth with the cooldown as now that we get the reward once per week there is no visual cooldown about that and many times we might go challenge the bot earlier and not get the nature reroll. Thank you!!1 point
-
it just doesnt feel right after 40 fights ( which is a lot when u think about it ) and it is really exciting and close sometimes u win with luck sometimes u lose in fight 39 last poke etc to get just a nature reroll or nothing for it ... doesnt feel rewarded goodly for the whole effort1 point
-
also sad for the people who worked on coding it xD cuz its not worth doing anymore now1 point
-
yeah its not that easy to go to streak 40 so this new reward doesnt fit its difficulty. wasnt the suspicious bot there so people could do endless grind and dont have to wait on boss cooldowns etc? why even invent such a thing if its gonna get nerfed to death for no reason lol. u cant even get nature rerolls on other accounts anymore until 1 week passed. why nerf the part of it which was its purpose?!1 point

I'm really happy to see that your issue has been solved. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. With that said, i will now close the thread. Have a wonderful day !1 point

-1 the battle thing rework is alrdy announced so you should just wait for that and story + events are most fun i think there should be even more focux on that. staff worked hard to make the game as awesome as it is and most of them are players like us + this game is a beta and nothing official. this post is just unthankful, why dont you apply as staff and "save" this horrible game then ? if you wanna forfeit a lot in pvp you can still do it in poke showdown1 point

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I will preface this thread by underscoring the fact that we cannot case-specifically return any lost items or Pokemon, nor can we reset cooldown times if you're penalized by one due to a rollback; any posts made asking for that only serve to pollute the forums and will be deleted as such. I can not make any promise that any absolute resolution will be made for the entire issue anytime soon, but I can promise that sifting through this thread will make you more informed on rollbacks and how to potentially elude the often-inevitable event. With a glaring trend of reports for rollback-reverted items, a cascade needs to be made on this entire plight—both to help users stay on their toes to possibly stave off rollbacks, and to inform those rollback-plagued users who are turning here for a solution. ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ Rollbacks occur whenever the server was unable to successfully save newly gained progress—in which case, the data in the database remains changeless, as that newly gained progress—while temp-held by the server for your log-in session—never registered in the database. This mostly commonly occurs in the wake of a server crash wherein data was gained after Point A (the last saving point), but the server crashed intervened with Point B (a would-be saving point, had the server not crashed before it). Additional but much more uncommon causal scenarios can be when your computer logs you out abruptly, such as during a sudden shut-down; in those cases, progress may also end up unsaved, as it did not give your game client ample time to query the database to save it before your computer force-ended the client. Due to how onerously taxing it would be for the server to insta-save all data—especially for the more data-rich characters of data—the systematically scheduled saving points of some data need to be regulated more strictly; as that opens up a broad window for Pokemon data, which are among the larger-scale data types for the server to save, nature dictates that those are the most commonly lost. These saving-point intervals aren't bound to be deregulated due to those reasons, but we do hope to minimize the frequency of server crashes in order to forestall more rollback cases moving into the future. ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ As long as it is possible for the server to crash, which is perpetuated as new, potentially deadlock-inducing server-coding is added, the game will never be absolutely devoid of potential rollbacks; it will be a minefield wherein the mines are irremovable, but it is possible to tread through it when regardful of precautionary measures. Relogging. This is usually is the ticket to staving off most rollback cases. By relogging, you effectively force-save the data, as your client tells the database to save your data to ensure that it's retained by the time you log back in. Because the client needs a little time to processually communicate with the database to save it, you are advised not to "force-end" your client—be it through terminating it via the task-manager prematurely, insta-shutting off your computer, and so on. Due to varying data-type integers used, different forms of data take discrepant amounts of times to save. While account-side data, items, quest variables, and so on all fold into a pecking order, they all tend to insta-save within a few minutes; it's Pokemon data, on the other hand, that takes longer to save (5-20 minutes) and thus runs the biggest risk of a rollback loss. Since all Pokemon-specific data is lumped together and saved synchronously, I would advise relogging when any of the following data changes happen to your Pokemon: Capturing it. This is obviously the most primal, as your Pokemon's existence will be lost if no Pokemon-data saves occur before a server crash. Equipping an item to it. This is also critical but more overlooked, since it can cause Held Item losses. Since item data consists of only a few points, the server manages to insta-save the fact that it was removed from your inventory, but the item will then embed itself into the Pokemon data of the holder; that means that if Pokemon data fails to save after the item is removed, there is a good chance that the item will be lost, because it will revert your backpack's state to a point whereafter the item was already removed from it. Evolving it. This may be a more negligible contingency for Pokemon that evolve on a level-up basis; but when an evolutionary item is expended in accomplishing the evolution, there is more at risk than a simple retrogression. Due to the reasons precedingly explained, item data saves at a much more systematically frequent rate than Pokemon; resultantly, you could see yourself losing both the evolutionary item and the evolution it induced if you item-evolve a Pokemon before a Pokemon-data saving point. Expending an item on it or paying for a service. Whenever you use an expendable item on your Pokemon—be it a healing item, TM, evolutionary item, vitamins, and so forth—you risk losing the aftereffect of the item's usage and the item itself, as items will embed themselves into the Pokemon's data while it's possible for item data (the usage of the item) to save before it—in addition to money expended, such as on a move-tutor. Whether it is worth relogging to preserve the aftervalue of more mundane items, such as a potion, is your call; but if you're more frugal, you may want to habituate relogging after such changes to ensure that the more invaluable expenditures don't end up rewardless in a rollback. Trading. When trading for a new Pokemon, it may also be a considerable amount of time from Point A (trade-acquiring the Pokemon) to Point B (a Pokemon-data saving point); as such, it's a broad window of time for the server to crash and intervene with saving it. If it's a money-for-Pokemon trade, it is especially urgent to log out, as the server will be faster to save the fact that money is lost than it will be to save the Pokemon's new account-holder. ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ Due to the varying saving-point intervals, it is possible to lose data while the entire control flow of obtaining it ends up disordered; for example, if the only method of obtaining an item was through a one-off NPC and a server crashed thereupon purchasing it, the server may have registered the fact that you've used up your one chance to buy it while failing to save the item, thereby deadlocking you from obtaining the item. I've devised similar NPC-oriented solutions for this in the past, such as Professor Oak giving you a new starter Pokemon if your starter Pokemon rolled back, and I will try to be amenable to adding more fallbacks for similar predicaments as they come to my knowledge. The exact data you lost will be irrecoverable, as we have no means of systematically authenticating that the item was obtained and lost via a rollback before manually returning it; but through systemic means, we can mitigate the damage of rollbacks and clear up progressional deadlocks caused by it. Before making such a suggestion, however, the following questions must be addressed: is an essential source of obtaining the data gone (such as an NPC disappearing)? Is it possible for scripts to discern that it was lost due to a rollback? Is the data indispensable? For some questions, only scripters can give a definitive yes, but it is food for thought before raising up a suggestion to obtain it.1 point
