The purpose of this post is to provide the playerbase with the reasoning behind each recent ban – and the unbanning of Mega Metagross. Further details can be found in the PvP Council Discord server. I will not focus on generic traits or stats unless prompted to do so by a specific argument. Likewise, I will avoid referencing other metagames (think: XY/ORAS OU or SM/USUM OU) and I invite you to do the same. We should solely focus on what is in the metagame. Why is Protean Greninja banned? 1. Greninja controls the hazard game to a suffocating degree. 2. Greninja has almost no guaranteed (offensive or defensive) switch-ins. 3. Greninja gives its user the knowledge advantage. 4. Greninja objectively hinders the development of certain playstyles and archetypes. 5. Greninja pairs up too well with too many Pokémon, including Megas. 6. Greninja has had a profoundly negative impact on the metagame. 7. Greninja restricts team building and limits innovation. Relevant replays from the latest PRO Ladder Tour Replay #1 Replay #2 Replay #3 Replay #4 Why is Mawilite banned? 1. Mega Mawile only has a handful of checks and counters. 2. Mega Mawile is extremely difficult to prepare for in a sufficient manner. 3. Considering its toolkit, Mega Mawile tends to perform too well against all playstyles. 4. Mega Mawile constantly pressures the opponent to avoid giving it a free turn or a set-up opportunity. 5. There is a massive disparity between the low cost of running Mega Mawile and supporting it properly and the high cost of running Pokémon like Will-O-Wisp Heatran, Moltres, Arcanine, etc. while also covering their many weaknesses. Relevant replays from the latest PRO Ladder Tour Replay #1 Replay #2 Why is Sablenite banned? Mega Sableye tangent: 1. Mega Sableye controls the hazard game to a suffocating extent. 2. Mega Sableye is centralizing to an unhealthy extent in terms of teambuilding and metagame development. 3. Thanks to Magic Bounce and its overall toolkit, Mega Sableye is able to remove many ways of crippling Stall and defensive teams in general. 4. Mega Sableye promotes unhealthy match-up reliance. Relevant replay from the latest PRO Ladder Tour Replay Why was Metagrossite unbanned? Mega Metagross tangent: 1. It has yet to show any signs of breaking the metagame. 2. It has its fair share of checks – and even some counters. 3. It suffers from “4-Moveslot Syndrome,” which limits it to 4 moves out of all the ones it would like to run. 4. It does not yet restrict teambuilding to an unhealthy extent. 5. It can be dealt with by all major playstyles within reason, although some must sacrifice more. I did not look for any replays from the latest PRO Ladder Tour because I understand that some players still wish to use those Mega Metagross teams – while Greninja, Mega Mawile, and Mega Sableye are already banned. Instead, let me briefly address the “Greninja vs Mega Metagross” comparison from the Greninja petition thread. If you are genuinely curious about why usage stats and win percentages should never be the sole determining factor when it comes to bans, you may watch BKC’s recent video: “The Widespread Misinterpretation of a Pokemon’s Winrate.”15 points

Are you serious lmao? Do you really think a single soul will say yes to the changes? Solaceon has always been overpowered , yes its rng dependant but you literally have nothing to lose aside from logging in 2 minutes each day to talk o the reporter . You could say you have to hunt the pokes at the start , while that is true , that's an absolutely disgusting worthwhile exchange for the money you get out of solaceon , and there are even people doing solaceon service where they will catch all the required pokemon for you. The nerf to rewards might have been a bit too harsh, but the change that you have to show the reporter freshly caught pokes should have been the norm from the start -14 points

-1 Log in Go to the house Show the Pokemon Log off This is nothing you should get a reward from. Not a single clue how people can find that okay and not abusive. The change was needed and good, they should change the Pokemon you need to catch tho which this one CS also said hes open to that.2 points

-1, yes asking the community is good, but as we've seen from the recent PvP bans, hive mind is also popular, and while something is OP, such a gren, nobody wants it banned, so everyone will start to complain. Had the community been considered for that ban, it would most certainly not have been banned, and then he would still be a problem. It's the same for this, more rewards = people happy, less chance at better rewards = people mad. And as a result, want it reverted. And basically all the rewards were previously ignored anyways, maybe not like the revival herbs, but now there's some pp ups which are useful, along with some sash's both of which are very useful in PvP. Before, the only good reward was a Reroll ticket, and the remainder were less than mediocre, now at least there is more balance in usability with all the rewards. And like was previously stated, it was a 2 minute effort every day to get basically a mil worth of pokedollars in a week, a 1/3 chance for a reroll almost guaranteed at least 1 on 4 accounts, double that for two servers, and then more and more get sent into the economy. Overall a change was needed.2 points

I've been thinking about this for a while, do you guys remember about the Doctor Pokemon Quest By doing this quest, we have the possibility to healing pokemons, and catch them in the meantime. As the excavations, we also have a Rank by doing these missions. You can catch rare pokemons if you got a high Rank. Why am I doing this post ? Some players are still doing this quest, but in my opinion, it's probably the less popular one with the Celadon one. was thinking about giving our Pokemons to the old couple in the Daycare, to get our pokemons EV trained. Here some ideas of how to make this functional, and also restrict this way to not be the only way to train your pokemons : - The pokemon should be OT - Each doctor's rank would limit the number of EVs that the couple could train on your pokemons. It would encourage the players to do the quest to increase their rank. - Also it would avoid a lot of current problems as hacks, unwanted evolutions and so on. Thanks for reading this suggestion, this idea was brought during the last Q/A of Walross. Feel free to react with a +1 or -1. Kind regards. Maitripoulpi.1 point

To start this, this is related to the new changes recently done to the Daily Reporter Quest in Solaceon Town found in the Sinnoh region. It's not a thread created to flame or disrespect the new changes, but rather address them and potentially open the eyes of the PRO team regarding this change. I might just speak on behalf of myself or a lot of players when regarding this change. But if the previous system is completely changed, and you now have to actually CATCH the Pokemon of the day EACH day, I'm sadly not gonna have time to do the quest on a daily basis. I think the old system was decent enough because I could jump onto the game, even on days when I barely had 5 minutes to play, to continue my daily streak. Right now, I would need 30+ minutes of playtime or more. Depending on the rarity of the wanted Pokemon. Despite the old rewards, I think it was worth it, spending 5 or more minutes on PRO for it. But why is this change so "bad"? People will lose interest in my opinion, just like with the Celedon daily quest. Time is essential for people. While the difference here is the insanely better rewards, it still doesn't feel right to have to catch the Pokemon on a daily basis. Furthermore, I went through the effort to find every single listed gen 4 Pokemon, had all evolutions for each, just for this daily challenge alone. Why it should be reverted - My personal opinion: Some days I can't play because of work, projects, simply not in the mood etc. But, that didn't stop me from logging in on PRO for just 5 minutes, finding the suited Pokemon, and logging off again. Right now, I feel like my entire reason to play PRO is basically gone. The only reason I played PRO right now is to do this quest, well was. And seasonal events. Where PRO went seriously wrong... Again, this is a very sensitive topic to bring up, but I'm not afraid to state my opinon on this. ASK THE COMMUNITY BEFORE COMMITTING NEW CHANGES. Make a thread, announce ahead of time, do some testing or speak with your community. This came out of the blue and I am not really sure what to say, as a Contributor I feel so left in the dark. While there might be some dedicated channels for this, promote them, shine some lights on them, because I have not seen even one of them. So, that's why I'm kind of feeling fed up about new changes going through, without the community's input on it, before it goes live. I think many may share this opinion with me... I see plenty of people doing the same thing as me, being online only for a short period of time, in the same AFK spots in Solaceon Town. Why? Because they don't have a better reason to play PRO or they don't have time to spare hunting for a new Pokemon on a daily basis for this challenge. This quest served as a vital part of getting a masterball on a weekly basis and occasionally if you were lucky a RR ticket. And that's why some people still did this on a daily basis, even if they might not have time for it. Some of the new rewards are still not making this worth it and some feel odd... While there are some great changes, I wonder why Max Repel was implemented into the Day 3. Plenty of other useful items that could've been given instead. I know many are repel tricking during events WQs, but I doubt they would be interested in gaining this through that quest, and it feels odd as a reward. Furthermore, Day 5 got x5 Focus Sash or x5 PP up, I would have personally kept the UpGrade and not implemented PP up. Simply to sync with the Silver Disc reward on Day 7. The 7 day Train ticket is fine, but I don't think this applies to the ones who mainly use this, considering it activates on the same day. Also, this next one is just so sad. I loved the shiny Wingull on day 25... Thought it was kind of useless, it was still funny to see if you got the perfect IV and nature Shiny Wingull. Replacing it had no say in it because I feel like this reward also doesn't apply to the majority of the users doing this quest on a daily basis.1 point

No, people won't lose interest because it is by far the EASIEST way of getting a reroll ticket. 5 minutes every day to get a chance at one of the most wanted and valued items in the game is absolutely horrid for the economy, sometimes life doesn't allow us to play and that's that. PRO is a MMORPG and not an idle cash simulator. Working for something should ALWAYS reward you more than something that's just 5 minutes of moving and then afking. On a general note i could agree, but not in this instance. Solaceon was a MASSIVE variable in the economy for years and this change was 100% needed. Again, PRO is not an idle game, it is a MMORPG with grind. Not idle. Do you think it is fair that another guy gets a reroll for 150 wins in PVP, and another gets one or even multiple ones in a week by doing solaceon quest on 8 characters by afking in a pokecenter? EDIT: To add the rework actually buffed it in a way for players who are actually willing to put some effort in, not just afking. You now have a 50% chance to get some kind of reroll, being it an IV or a nature one on the 7th day, instead of the 25% for an IV one previously. This change comes with the unique catching requirement which is 100% fine, solaceon will still remain the games best reroll source. It won't be nearly as bad of an individual to the economy as before, but will provide hard workers with more rewards than before.1 point

-1 if changes to the reroll system are considered since adding more and more legendaries while nerfing the amount of reroll tickets a player can get is not thought through well imo.1 point

@JustCrown You have been punished for a Poorly Handled Auction. The Scizor was sold before the end point. Even if it was on time, you must acknowledge the offer and only when an offer is held for a full 15 minutes it is the winner. Besides all this, the 16 Coin Capsules offer didn't meet the minimum raise you've set. The trade has been reversed. This auction will have a new end point - 12 hours from the moment of this post. The last valid offer is from @Hektoras with 15 Coin Capsules and 350k (6.35m). The outcome of this auction will be forced - will take responsibility for this. Apologies for the inconvenience. Good luck.1 point

Greeting @Abdussayeb007, I am sorry for the inconvenience caused by this player but the last offer received during this auction was a false offer. It will not be possible to force the trade and this player will be punished in consequence. Please contact the player who had the previous best offer during your auction. In your case, it's "Ishikawa001". You can also start a new auction for this Pawniard if circumstances changed. Sorry for the inconvenience - Monteria1 point

Hey there @Barze97! Thanks for your report! After some testing I can confirm something seems weird between Serene Grace and the moves you have mentioned. I have forwarded this to our Dev Team so that it can be addressed sometime in the near future. Please continue to report any issues you notice in game. It helps us get them fixed quickly and efficiently! Regards, Gouda1 point

TRADE RULES NOTE: When trading as part of an auction, be aware that in addition to the rules listed below, all Auction Rules apply. GENERAL TRADE RULES 1. When advertising, be clear and accurate about what you are buying or selling. - When stating a Pokemon is IV+ (25+, 26+, etc), all stats must be equal to, or above the advertised numbers. › Exception: Decreased ATK, SPATK or SPD stats. › e.g. A Timid Pokemon may be advertised as 25+, if all stats except Attack are equal to, or above 25. 2. Announcing a lend, sale, offer or bid with no intention or means to follow through is prohibited. 3. Once a deal is agreed upon, you cannot back out of it. A deal is done in one of these two scenarios: - In-game: Both parties have agreed to a price and location. - Forum & Auction: An Insta or Fixed Price has been met, or auction won. 4. Scamming, Misleading or Deceiving players is prohibited. 5. Reserves (buy now, pay later agreements) are prohibited. Players must have the means to make full payment from the time of committing to a trade agreement (making an offer, bid, or agreeing to a deal) until completion of the trade or outbid. 6. Offers received outside of an auction cannot be: - Claimed or used as current or best offer. - Used as a starting bid without the buyer's permission. 7. Trades outside of official PRO platforms (Forum, In-game, Discord) are not supported, or enforced by PRO Staff. - Reports or evidence regarding trade agreements made on Discord may not be accepted. 8. All goods gained or traded as a result of an Account Hack or Scam will be forcefully corrected, any trade agreements made in such circumstances will be considered void. - In the event that a trade agreement has been made, or a trade has taken place with any third party involving goods gained via an Account Hack, this will be forcefully reversed where possible, regardless of known or direct involvement. 9. When making a service agreement (Level-Up, EV-Training, Lending, PokeDex Data, Story / Quest, etc), players must take full responsibility to ensure that the service is completed as agreed. Any actions not approved by the agreement are prohibited. - This includes: unapproved trades to or from own accounts or third parties, irreversible damage (evolving), payment is made, etc. › Evidence of these agreements must be made and kept, and made available upon Staff request. This is the responsibility of both parties. › Services that involve account sharing (Story, Quest, etc) are permitted, but not recommended. See Rule No.3 of the Game Rules for further details. Personally did Solaceon myself, I have no issues with the changes made other than the fact that the pokemon has to be caught on that day. If this was going to be the case, then half the list of the pokemon should have been somewhat nerfed and the tier 9 pokemon at the very least being removed altogether (In my opinion) Wouldn't have any issue at all as long as the pokemon could be used prior to the catch date0 points
