there's another relatively safe way to approach bot boss which involves paralyzing mmx, putting up stealth rock, putting up 1-2 spikes, setting up reflect, then lowering mmx's stats until you can safely boost a dragon (dragonite/salamence) to +5 on it, at which point outrage will ohko the entire boss. It's reasonably safe as long as you don't forget to put up Stealth Rock (XD001 will tank a hit if its multiscale is up)

staff have tools to do that already Please enlighten me: How do you do that if not through the IP adress of your pc? Monitoring ones playstyle and checking if its the same might be an option. The age division is a metaphor for elo. Lower elo, less chance of beating a higher elo person. Especially when the high elo person faces you twice. What's fair about being beaten by the same person twice because they use a second account to have an elo that isn't representative of their true skill? an age difference can only be solved with time a difference in pvp skill can be solved by improving your game (also if you wanted second accounts to be representative of skill, why were they first banned from ladder, that's literally preventing them from being representative of skill)

yea no punishing people for reaching ladder is stupid either all alts or no alts; any middle ground is unacceptable to me

The thing is: How do I know? It's not like the PRO meta is the same you find on smogon or other pvp websites so the only real way to get to know it, is to play the game. However, for that I need a team, so I sticked to basic team roles to get started. After all: This should not be a prefessional team. It is solely meant to get me started without getting me utterly destroyed. I will then (hopefully) learn what is missing for the current meta. Is Volcarona that common? I thought it only would be seen in high level PvP because it is so rare. That's a good point ... I will have to work on that one. Thanks for your answers! I highly appreciate it. I don't know what server you're on, but I have compiled usage stats for Yellow and they are somewhere on this forum, and others have done the same for Red. Volcarona on yellow is seen on roughly 7% of teams. I understand that some things only come with experience, and that my initial post may have been a little harsh, but if you fix the issues described it will be a much better team.

Several issues with this team. 1. When teambuilding, "physical sweeper" "hazard" "special wall" are platitudes. THEY DO NOT MATTER; I've run entirely physical teams successfully. What does matter is that you adequately cover the entire metagame and have a clear plan to win the game. I do not see a win condition or a plan on this team. 2. Weavile needs to be Jolly. Base 125 speed is the primary reason to use it. 3. You are desperately weak to Volcarona. If it pops a Quiver Dance, you are getting 6-0'd. 4. You have no Magnezone switchin. Donphan loses badly to it. 5. Rain teams built around SpecsDra or Ludicolo will demolish you; you have no switchin to powerful Water-type special attacks. 6. Donphan does not provide adequate hazard support or control. It is too easily forced out and has no reliable recovery. 7. If you aren't using Regenerator, don't use Slowbro. EDIT: 8. Psychic sucks on Gengar. Run Focus Blast.

Accuracy drops are not working correctly in the game which is why they are banned. They should just deactivate Sand Veil to keep Chomp users happy. didn't they say BOTH accuracy drops and evasion raises weren't working properly?

That means banning Garchomp from pvp ranked (Yea, most players can't get an epic h.a rare) Although I know normal Garchomp in Sand team is too powerful, if not OP; I lost a few games because my Ice Beam missed a +2 Chomp. accuracy drops aren't "broken" either, you're banning them because they are uncompetitive. Sand Veil and Snow Cloak are in the same vein.
